Review: The Mudderella organized has switched the location of their event on September [redacted] from [redacted] MA, to [redacted], MA and now, with just 8 days until the race - to [redacted] ME. While I understand that there are issues beyond Mudderella's control that have lead to the venue change for the Boston race, the drastic difference between what was advertised and what the reality is - Boston to Maine - leaves many people including myself in quite a bind. As mothers, caregivers, and professionals, we're juggling quite a few obligations and this is unacceptable.

To not offer refunds for the venue change this drastic is QUITE unacceptable. After a multite of calls, emails, tweets and [redacted] posts, the customer service, and asking for assistance has complete ceased. We've received canned responses that lack substance and have no REAL answers. Additionally, we're only being offered a transfer to 2015 instead of refunds - when there are no 2015 races scheduled! Please help us.Desired Settlement: I would like the Mudderella to refund me the $116.80 I paid via [redacted] to register for the event.

Sincerely,

Review: Mudderella Boston was supposed to be an event held in [redacted], Ma on September *,2014. About a month ago it was changed to [redacted] MA. Now, * days before the event, it has been moved yet again. This time to [redacted] Maine! This has placed huge burden on people with the added travel time and need for hotels and extra money that will have to be spent to travel there. The response from Mudderella is that we will be offered free parking, or can transfer our already paid for entry fee to another one of their events next year. There is no guarantee that there will be another event from them in my area next year, so either way I would be out the money I paid.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of my entry fee.

My bank issued me a refund of the costs I had paid to Mudderella. Mudderella has refused any other contact with me.

Sincerely,

Review: I registered to participate in the Mudderella race for $106.18. Since that time the event had moved from [redacted] in Haverhill, MA to [redacted] in Amesbury, MA . Today, Friday August [redacted] , I was notified via email that the event was being moved from Amesbury, MA to Westbrook, ME. Not only is this venue location drastically different but Mudderella is not offering full refunds, but only offer an event transfer with no events scheduled in New England within a reasonable distance for next year. I am a Rhode Island resident and I'm away 3 hours and 24 minutes drive I would like a full refund for my registration .

Mudderella is only available through web-based forms and social media, which is not accommodating for anyone trying to figure out how to get a fair resolution. Their replies via the internet are not informative and reiterate no refund and no locations for 2015. and even if there were locations how sure am I that I will be able to participate next year.

I would like my money fully refunded due to the lack of communication, organization and unprofessionalism of Mudderella . I know I did sign a contract but ir clearly states as a Boston muderella in the state of Massachusetts never agreed with a Maine location .Desired Settlement: refund thats all its very inconvenient to go thru all this since company its not answering to emails and theres no customer service # to contact .

Review: I purchased this obstacle race event in March of 2014 with the understanding that it was being held in/around Boston, MA. It is advertised on their website site as, "Mudderella Boston 2014" and the event was scheduled to be held right outside of Boston. I thought it would be something fun to do with my friends. Since the purchase Mudderella has changed the venue twice with the most disappointing change being moved all the way up north to the state of Maine 1 week before the event date. This is a huge inconvenience because the travel time has now doubled and Mudderella refuses to refund me my money paid. The advertising is misleading and deceptive. Had I known that it was possible for them to move this event 2 states away I would have never registered. The only option I have been given is to transfer to another date and run in the year 2015 but they will not provide any 2015 date or location information because they say it wont be available for "another few months". Therefore, they cannot guarantee me that there will ever be a Mudderella in or around Boston. They say it is their policy to not issue any refunds under location change and say that I agreed upon this during registration however they failed to provide me with a copy of this or any sort of proof of this policy. I read the information during registration and do not recall this policy. This in unacceptable. Please help me get a refund of the full amount I paid due to their failure to provide the service I paid for.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund on $84.93.

Review: I registered for the Mudderella Boston race back in February 2014. At that time the race was to be held in [redacted] MA. About 1 month ago we were informed that the race venue was being moved to [redacted] MA. I was a bit annoyed but figured not a big deal because distance is not that different from original location. Then last Thursday(a mere 8 days before the race event) we all received an email stating that the venue was being changed yet again but this time to [redacted] Maine, more than 2+hrs from my home and I have a 7am start time. I requested a Refund-because I never would have signed up for this had I know it was going to be in Maine.

I think it is appalling that Mudderella is not offering a 100% refund, rather just the option to do a future race. Why would I want to risk having this happen all over again? And how would I know if I will be in the position to do the race next year.

I am hoping you can help the hundreds of women who would like a full refund.

Please contact me with questions or if I can help with anything else.

Review: I registered to participate in the Mudderella race and paid $100.00 to participate, $20.00 for a spectator. Since that time the event had moved from [redacted] in Haverhill, MA to [redacted] in [redacted], MA (which was fine given the short distance and reasonable time farm to accommodate. Sincerely,

Review: I had contacted Tough Mudder through their online costumer service in June ** way in advance of my event as I had fractured a rib. I finally got an answer on July * advising me to switch my event to next year. However, for whatever technical reason, their website (or their subcontractor eventrite) would not be able to transfer my event (of which I sent screens shots of). On July *, I received another response asking me to send my contact info and which event I would like to transfer to. I replied back saying that I would like to transfer to next year but none of the canadian events had been announced at that point in time (July **).

I have not received any communication from Tough Mudder since then despite numerous efforts through their online support system.

Review: I am registered for the Mudderella "Boston" event on September [redacted], 2014 and today we were notified that the venue changed for the second time, this time moving it to Maine. Although your registration policy included a no refund clause, I believe offering no refund is unethical. You did provide the option to transfer to a 2015 event, but there is zero information on your website about what are options are and we can't even know if the events next year will work for us. I have teammates traveling from far away for this event and this has completely changed from a fun team event to a frustration and stressful situation. It's very unfortunate that you cannot at least offer a full refund for those of us who would not like to transfer to 2015 and do not want to travel to the new event location in Maine. We all registered for the event based on the location advertised.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my initial registration fee.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased an open ticket on September **, 2014 and was told that Mudderella would be back in the same location the following year. I paid $74.30 and was told I would get a complete refund if there was a problem or I wanted to change my plans. They are not having an event in that location again this year; therefore, I would like to request my money be returned. There is on phone number for contact. I have contacted via Eventbrite because that is the only way of contact listed on the website. Please help me get a refund!

Here is the info from the ticket: Order #[redacted]. Ordered by [redacted] on September **, 2014 7:30 AMDesired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of my ticket price, $74.30.

Review: The Tough Mudder LLC original advertised the race to be in [redacted], Massachusetts and have changed the location one week before the race. The location is now much farther away then the original location. When they were contacted to ask for a refund because the location is not feasible, they said that no refunds will be issued even though the race location was moved at least once.Desired Settlement: $116

Review: Mudderella "Boston" is now in [redacted], me. This is the 2nd or 3rd venue change and for the money I spent, I cannot afford hotel room and gas too. I understand there are circumstances beyond their control with venues however, when I am told that I can either pick a different event location and the closest is new jersey or I can transfer my registration to 2015 - there aren't any races in 2015! Logical let here may be to offer a discount of refund or full refund if unable to make it. There are no phone numbers to call to contact anyone, emails have not been returned and I never received notice of this venue change!Desired Settlement: Refund the money paid as what you advertised that I signed up for its not what I am getting. The options given are not viable solutions. Free parking doesn't male up for the hotel, gas and other expenses I would incur at this late date.

Sincerely,

Review: I registered to participate in the Mudderella race on April [redacted], 2014 for $95.78 to participate. Since that time the event had moved from [redacted] in [redacted] MA to [redacted] Park in [redacted], MA (which was fine given the short distance and reasonable time frame) to accommodate. Today, Friday August [redacted] at 2:17pm, I was notified via email that the event was being moved from [redacted], MA to [redacted], ME. Not only is this venue location drastically different (2 hours from [redacted]), Mudderella is not offering full refunds, but only offer an event transfer with no events scheduled in New England within a reasonable distance for next year. I would like a full refund for my registration to compete.

Their transfer web site states: "On their web site it states Mudderella currently does not have any events on the calendar for 2015. By agreeing to transfer your registration to 2015, you will forfeit the money originally paid if Mudderella does not offer any events next year." This is absolutely unacceptable given the transfer is necessary due to an error on their side, not mine.

Mudderella is only available through web-based forms and social media, which is not accommodating for anyone trying to figure out how to get a fair resolution. Their replies via the internet are not informative and reiterate no refund and no locations for 2015.

I would like my money fully refunded due to the lack of communication, organization and unprofessionalism of Mudderella, LLC.Desired Settlement: I would like the registration fee in the amount of $95.78 refunded to my Visa credit card.

Review: Signed up for Mudderella Boston in March 2014. Original location of event was [redacted],MA when I signed up, location was then change to [redacted], MA. Then today August ** 2014 they change it to [redacted] MAINE. 1.5 hours further away from what we signed up for. They have denied my request for a refund of $95.55.

Our group was traveling using public transit to the event and now with it moving to Maine we have now way of getting to and from the event.

Can you please give me any guidance on what I should do about getting a refund. We work very hard for every dollar we bring into this home.

Thank you in advance

Review: Last Jun *, 2013 I registered to participate in a race taking place this September **, 2013. Mudderella events are world class, 5-7 mile long obstacle courses designed by women. Since I haven't been feeling very good, I wanted to be transfer to another race for another time. But I have been trying to contact with them for a while. There is no phone and any kind of contact information in their site. The only way of communication is their online form.I wrote them last Sep *, 2013 requesting either cancel o re-schedule the race for any other event at NY, NJ or close by.Until Sep ** they dind't reply my request and the only thing they said was: "Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds and at this time it is too late for a transfer. Thank you for your understanding,Mudderella".I'm not agree at all. They said I could be transfered to ANY other event with a fee and they said nothing about there were limited time.If they can't transfer me to another event I want my money back. It's a principle. This site has a lot of options to register but only a contact form to contact with them that takes one week to be replied and you don't even have the opportunity to discuss nothing with them. It's been a very negative experience and I was so excited to participate.Order #: [redacted]AttendeeType Quantity Paid[redacted] Event Launch Special1$74.84 TOTAL $74.84Charged to: Visa - XXXX-XXXXXX-[redacted] charge on your credit card will be from EB *Mudderella PennsylThis order is subject to Eventbrite Terms of ServiceDesired Settlement: I would like them either to transfer me to any other event, AS THEY SAID, or to get my money back. $74.84

Review: Mudderella scheduled an event advertised as being in "Boston" and I, along with a team of others signed up for this event with the understanding that it would be in the [redacted] MA area. With 8 days until the actual event they have switched the event to [redacted], ME. This is a complete bait and switch and they refuse to offer refunds.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for both race admissions (and associated costs) I paid for on my credit card. One for myself, one for my cousin, [redacted]. As team captain, I would also like refunds to be issued to the remainder of my team including [redacted], and [redacted].

Sincerely,

Review: I had signed up for the Muderella in November. Due to a car accident that I had in January, causing myself to undergo surgery of my [redacted], I could no longer attend the event. I have repeatedly tried to contact Muderella but there is no phone number to contact them. As well as their failure to respond to emails. I am having a difficult time with the claim and the information that they want me to send.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a complete refund of the event due to by disabilities. I could no longer attend it and with a doctors note, that I emailed to them from my doctor, to prove the information.

Business

Response:

Can you please send us the help ticket number that was submitted by the participant and/or the email address used to submit a help ticket? We have a no-refund policy, which the participant agreed to when registering:"I hereby understand and acknowledge that all fees and associated costs (including optional product purchases, spectator tickets, and donations), paid in registration for this Mudderella event are NOT REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON, under any circumstances, including but not limited to injury, a scheduling conflict, and/or event cancellation. I also understand that active duty or deployed military participants may be entitled to a refund on a case-by-case basis upon providing sufficient, official documentation regarding the deployment that conflicts with participating in the event."Her options are to transfer the registration to a friend or transfer to a 2016 event.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I paid for and signed up for the Boston Mudderella on September *, 2014. At the time I signed up and paid, the event was scheduled to be at [redacted] in [redacted], MA. The venue was then changed to [redacted] in [redacted], MA. I still intended to participate in the event following this change in venue, however, I would not have regsitered for the event if the initial location had been [redacted]. Roughly a wekk before the event, another email from "Mudderella" was sent stating the venue had changed again and this time was going to be held in [redacted], Maine. This meant a 2 hour and 45 minute commute to arrive at 8:00 a.m. The company stated no refunds were being given and the only option, aside from traveling to Maine, was transferring the registration to the 2015 Boston Mudderella. No dates or venue for the 2015 event have been posted meaning that although you could transfer the registration, you could not be sure you could attend due to the lack of dates and venue. I requested a refund via email and was told no refunds were being offered. I feel that I registered and paid for an event that was falsely advertised and that Mudderella was fraudulent in taking payment for the event. Mudderella should offer refunds for those who registered for the [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like a refund not a transfer to next year's event which hasn't even been planned.

Sincerely,

Review: I had signed up for the mudderella BOSTON event (Sept, * 2014) back in February 2014 for close to $90. they have already changed venues for this event once or twice already, but just recently, a week before the event being held on Sept, [redacted] 2014 they have yet again changed the venue but thats not the problem, the problem is that it has been moved to [redacted] maine. mudderella will not offer a refund for this event. im sure you have already recived many complaints about this so I will not go on and on in rant. myself and a lot of others just want our money back for its not what we have signed up for. thank you

[redacted]Desired Settlement: would like my refund in full!

Review: I purchased a race for Boston ma. After changing the venue three times, they have changed the venue 6 days before the race and moved it three hours away to Maine. They are not offering a refund for this unreasonable and unfair and unrealistic venue change.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund in my original form if payment.
