National Principal Group (“National”) is in receipt of the above referenced complaint for Mr. [redacted], and we appreciate the chance to respond.  National is a collection agency which was collecting on an outdated personal loan in Mr. [redacted]'s   name. This loan dates back to...

February, 2011 with an original creditor of Manhattan Processing.   Information regarding this loan was verified prior to entering our office, and Mr. [redacted] also verified that the information we had was correct when we spoke with him on 12/30/2015.  Had Mr. [redacted] advised that he believed this to be a fraudulent claim we would have closed his  account and moved it into a “Fraud” status ensuring no further collection activity would occur. Instead  Mr. [redacted] referenced that the statute of limitations was up and that he would not be paying this loan  back.  Unfortunately we cannot control what people write about us on the internet, however we are in  no way affiliated with BRG Collections and are unable to comment on how they may or may not conduct their business. We at National follow all federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Any calls that would have been made would have followed all regulations and guidelines.  As Mr. [redacted]'s claim has been closed in our office there will be no further communication or  collection activity regarding this matter from our company. Please feel free to contact the undersigned  with any additional questions.   Sincerely,   Sherice M. [redacted] Authorized Representative of National Principal Group

has an account number ending in 0806.  While we understand Ms. [redacted]'s frustration in this matter, we must respectfully disagree with  certain points made in her complaint. NPG follows all federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt  Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) with regards to skip-tracing and location. At no point did we ever  leave a message stating that “we will do whatever necessary to track her down”. We are attaching the  information sent to Ms. [redacted] regarding her loan. These are the documents that are required of us  according to FDCPA regulations and guidelines. As you can see all pertinent information regarding the   loan is included in this information.  Ms. [redacted]'s account is now closed in our office, and there will be no further contact from our  company regarding this loan. Group's records reflect that during our skip tracing and location efforts we were attempting to locate a person  with a similar name as Ms. [redacted] to send a required notice. All location calls follow federal law. NP Group is unable to disclose the purpose of our call without verifying that we have the correct party. To do so would be a violation of federal law. NP Group accepts Ms. [redacted]'s complaint as a "Cease and Desist" and will not contact her again on this matter.  We do encourage Ms. [redacted] to contact our office because this matter is still unresolved. creditor. All information has been verified prior to the placement of the account with our  office. NP Group follows all federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Any calls made with regards to Ms. [redacted] followed those regulations and guidelines. At no time did any representative threaten her because to do so would be a violation of the law and would bedisadvantageous to our company. We respectfully disagree with her recollections of the calls and urge Ms. [redacted] to provide proof of her accusations. During our skip tracing and location efforts we were attempting to locate Ms. [redacted] to send her a required notice. As our records reflect she did indeed update her email address with us and on October 28, 2016 at 1:32pm ES. We sent her the required notice electronically per her request. National Principal Group (“NP Group”) has received Mr. [redacted]’s complaint and appreciates the chance to respond.  As Mr. [redacted] has attached in his complaint, he has threatened to file a federal  lawsuit against our company. As such, we are reluctant to speak to any of Mr. [redacted]’s allegations...

and are unable to provide him with his desired resolution as we disagree with his  assessment of what took place. It is of note that Mr. [redacted] also filed a complaint with theConsumer Financial Protection Bureau which was also responded to.  While we are unable to address any of Mr. [redacted]’s allegations due to his threatened lawsuit and indication that he has an attorney, we have ceased all contact with Mr.[redacted] and removed his number from our systems.  Please contact the undersigned if you have any additional questions.  Sincerely,  Authorized Representative of  NP Group 3014 Delaware Ave, #4147Kenmore, NY 14217

two outstanding loans in Mr. [redacted]s name. The first loan is through SJM Marketing and dates back to February, 2012. This loan has an original ID number ending in [redacted]. The second loan is through CP Investors and dates back to April, 2012 with an original ID number ending in [redacted].  National follows all Federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Our skip trace and location attempts were to simply verify a valid address and phone number in order to advise Mr. [redacted] of the accounts we had in our office, which is required of us by law. At no point in time did we ever “harass” anyone, Furthermore, no one was ever advised that Mr. [redacted] had “files  filed against him”. We originally spoke with Mrs. [redacted] on May 2, 2012, and at that time, once she was able to verify information regarding Mr. [redacted], we advised her of each account we had in our office.  Mrs. [redacted] agreed to setup an arrangement with us to resolve both accounts over a period of a few  months beginning on May 6, 2016. However, Mr. [redacted]’s first payment has declined due to the cancellation of the card Mrs. [redacted] had placed on file. Since receiving this complaint, we at National have cancelled Mr. [redacted]’s arrangement in our office completely, had he contacted us prior we would have done so without him needing to cancel his card.As stated previously, we have considered this complaint as a formal cease and desist, and there  will be no further collection or communication attempts. Mr. [redacted]’s accounts have both been closed in our office. Please feel free to contact the undersigned with any additional questions.  Sincerely,  Sherice M. collect on an outdated loan in Mr.  [redacted]’s name dating back to October, 2013. The original creditor for this loan was SQG, Ltd and they issued an original loan ID number ending in 3044. Mr. [redacted] actually had two accounts in our office,  the original account was paid in full by Mr. [redacted] in January, 2016. That loan was issued by Gateway Holdings Group in January, 2012. The original loan ID number issued for this account ends in 3044. National follows all Federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), at no time do any of our messages or associates state anything about legal action, and none of ourassociates threatened anyone at any time. We have attempted several times to send over information to Mr. [redacted]. He has provided us with several e-mail addresses, and each time we send the information he insists he never receives it, although we have never gotten a notification that the email did not go through. For your convenience as well as Mr. [redacted]’s we are attaching all of the information that has been provided over the last few months for you to review. All information is verified prior to being placed in our office, and Mr. [redacted] himself stated that the in-formation was correct. Mr. [redacted] also stated that he did recognize the first loan, and was willing to resolve voluntarily over a period of time which we were happy to assist with. Furthermore, we would also like to dispute Mr. [redacted]’s recollection of what he was told concerning his credit report. He was not in any way told he was looking at it wrong, it was explained that loans like this are not credit based, and most are not reported to credit bureaus. It was also explained that we cannot speak to who had the account prior to us, but his first account was placed into our office on November 16, 2015, and his second account was placed in our office on March 31, 2016. As previously stated, we have considered this complaint as a formal cease and desist with regards to Mr [redacted]'s second account. There will be no further contact from us regarding this matter. Please feel free to contact the undersigned with any additional questions.  Sincerely, Sherice M. P[redacted] Authorized Representative of National Principal

complaint referenced above. Thank  you for giving us the opportunity to respond to this matter. NP Group is a collection agency and personal loans in Mr. [redacted]’s name were placed in our office by the current creditor and owner. All information has been verified prior to being placed with NP Group.  NP Group follows all federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Any conversations that NP Group has had with Mr. [redacted] followed those guide lines. NP  Group strives to provide the best consumer experience and prides ourselves on professionalism. Our representatives are trained to comply with all local and federal regulations and to treat all individuals in a professional manner. Not conducting ourselves in that manner would be counterproductive to our business. Upon verifying Mr. [redacted]’s identity on November 4, we attempted to provide Mr. [redacted] the details of the personal loans in his name. During our first conversation Mr. [redacted] stated to our representative that he did not want to take care of the matter and immediately terminated the phone call with NP Group. The second and final conversation was on November 8. Mr. [redacted] spoke to a manager and was extremely argumentative, screaming, and cursing. Mr. [redacted] was warned that the call would be terminated if he continued to conduct himself in this manner. Unfortunately the call had to be terminated and Mr. [redacted]’s account was immediately notated and moved to a non-working status. We have accepted Mr. [redacted]’s complaint as a formal “Cease and Desist” and will not attempt to contact him again in regards to this matter. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions. Sincerely, NP Group

law was what was provided to the loan company when Mr. [redacted] applied for the loan. We are attaching the Verification of Debt for Mr. [redacted]'s and your office's convenience. As you can see from the information provided by the original creditor, the loan is from 2012, not 8 years old. All calls to references are done solely for location information of the consumer we are seeking. Despite Mr. [redacted]'s claims, all skip-tracing calls are exclusively to determine the location and contact information of the consumer. There is no disclosure of the purpose of our calls, nor do we disclose our company name, unless specifically asked, per Federal disclosure laws. After our initial contact and proper verification of Mr. [redacted], all additional skip-tracing calls ceased. We will assure Mr. [redacted] that any further contact will be to him alone and encourage him to contact our office, as the debt remains unpaid. Please contact the undersigned if you have any additional questions.  Sincerely, Authorized Representative of NP Group

[redacted]'s namedating back to July, 2011. The original creditor was Compass Capital LLC and they issued an originalloan ID number ending in 2519. We originally spoke with Mr. [redacted] on March 15, 2016 and advisedhim of the account we had in our office. At that time he advised our associate that he would like to lookinto this debt further, and our associate offered him the website so that he could view the informationhimself. We at National are very careful to protect the privacy of the individuals that we work with, thewebsite only requests the last four digits of the social security number as well as our account number. This not only protects their information, as previously stated, but also ensures that individuals areseeing information that only pertains to them. Later that same day Mr. [redacted] advised our associate thathe wanted to dispute the validity of the debt, and his account was immediately moved into a nonworking“dispute status”.At no point in time did anyone at our company attempt to “strong arm” Mr. [redacted] into doinganything. Furthermore, all information is verified prior to being placed into our office, and Mr. [redacted]himself verified that the information we had for him was correct. National follows all Federal laws;specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and any dealings we had regarding thisaccount followed those regulations. lender on this account was the Titan Group LLC, and they issued a loan ID number ending in 8279. National follows all Federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) with regards to skip tracing and location. Any calls made regarding this account were in accordance with those regulations and guidelines. At no time do any of our messages state anythingabout law enforcement as this would be an illegal tactic that our company does not take part in. When Ms. [redacted] asked for our address it was given to her, it seems as though she may have misheard the representative since the one she is referencing in this complaint is similar to our actual address listed at the bottom of this response. The information we have regarding this loan was verified prior to being placed in our office, and as stated by Ms. [redacted] had been hers years prior. We also verify pertinent information when someone calls in to be sure we are speaking with the responsible party. We never disclose information to a third party as that too would go against FDCPA regulations. Our representatives are trained to treat everyone they speak with in a professional manner, doing the contrary would be detrimental to our business model. If Ms. [redacted] has proof to these allegations we urge that she send them into us so that we can further investigate. Ms. [redacted]' account was moved into a non-working status after our initial conversation. There has not been, nor will there be any further attempts to contact her regarding this matter by ourcompany. Please feel free to contact the undersigned with any additional questions. Consumer filed new complaint: Billing or Collection Issues National Processing Group sold a fraudulent debt that they were aware of that I was a victim of identity theft in 2012 and 201. I filed a complaint against NPG at the CFPB and the Revdex.com requesting they closed this debt as fraudulent and a result of identity theft and yet sold the debt to Mediation Processing Services. Now Mediation Processing Services are contacting me daily leaving messages of garnishments, legal processing and so forth. I contacted Mediation Processing Services today and notified them this was a result of identity theft. I have never taken a Payday loan out ever. Additionally this is a result of fraud from NPG selling a debt that they were informed was identity theft and yet sold it to Mediation Processing Services anyways. Desired outcome:NPG group needs to contact Mediation Processing Services and send notice for them to close the debt and not to resale this to anyone else. This is identity theft and fraud and further harassment is illegal.
