National Principal Group, LLC Reviews (260)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Regards, [redacted]   I disagree with the company response, reason being is I know who I spoke with on the phone. The representative name was  (Kevin K[redacted]),I also made documentation of the K[redacted] comments. Maybe your company need to stop calling and threatening consumers with bogus information. The phone number that's listed in my original complaint has been disconnected all of a sudden which was 1-855-205-3053.

November 9, 2016Re: [redacted]Complaint Identification#: [redacted]Dear [redacted];National Principal Group ("NP Group") is in receipt of the above referenced complaint with regards to Ms. [redacted]. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this matter.During our skip tracing and location efforts...

we were attempting to locate Ms. [redacted] to send her a required notice. As our records reflect a woman with the same name contacted our office but refused to verify her identification. At no time was her identity verified and it is against the law to provide details to someone other then Ms. [redacted]. We take verifying the identity of an individual very seriously to protect the consumer's rights and personal information. NP Group follows all federal laws specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (fDCPA), Any calls made with regards to Ms. [redacted] followed those regulations and guidelines. At no time did NP Group or any representative threaten her with a civil suit. To do so would be a violation of the law and would be unfavorable to our company and business model. We respectfully disagree with her recollections of the call and urge Ms. [redacted] to provide proof of her accusations. Our records also show that NP Group never spoke with her father at all.We do urge her to contact our office if she would like to be assisted with the matter. We have taken this complaint as a formal cease and desist. We would like to assure not only your office but also Ms. [redacted] [redacted] that there will be no further communication attempts regarding this matter from NP Group. Please feel free to contact our office with any additional questions that you may have.Sincerely,Authorized Representative of NP Group

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This verificaiton of debt does not show any money being transferred into my bank account. It is a statement on Letter Head that does not mean anything.  I want to see the documents that were used to create the debt. I want to see any and all agreements between me and this alleged creditor.  I can assure the Revdex.com that this is a  VERY old debt.  That is based on a number of things. The fact is, there is not anyway that I would get a personal allow for that amount during that period of time.  The address they are using on this letter head is an address that I had in the year 2004, that address tells me exactly the age of the claim.  The alleged debt has to go back to 2004-2006 as that is the period of time I was at this address.  I need these people to provide a phone # , address and contact information for this alleged creditor.  There is no way that this document that is only a letter on the letterhead of the collection agency serves as verification of debt. I am asking for all supporting documents between me and this alleged creditor. The documents that I am seeking would include but would not be limited to; details of the alleged transaction.  What was borrowed, how I received the alleged loan and the financial transactions documents. I have also had the CFPB investigators call me about my CFPB complaint and apparently these people are being investigated. I would imagine that investigation would be based on similar complaints.  The fair debt collections practices act specifically (  15 U.S. Code § 1692 Valdation of debts, requires these people to provide much more than the name of the alleged creditor.   I also need these people to stop calling me and anyone else that they are looking for to get in touch with me. How hard is it to provide a contract between me and these alleged creditors.  Something like the documents that show what exactly this is about and where the alleged loan was sent to.  Documents that would have my signature on them ...and documents that would show the repayment terms.Regards,  [redacted]

agency which was collecting on an outdated debt in Ms. [redacted]'s name dating back to April, 2012. The original creditor was the [redacted] Group LLC, and they issued an original loan ID number ending in 7884. National follows all federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) with regards to skip tracing and location. All of our messages follow these guidelines, and are never threatening or state that anyone will be arrested. According to our records we do not show anyone calling our office requesting that we cease calls to them. Any time we receive a request such as this we not only notate the account, but we actually delete the phone number from our system ensuring that the request is honored. Ms. [redacted]'s account is considered closed in our office. There has been no communication or collection attempts from our company regarding this account since January, 21 2016, and there will not be any in the future. information has been verified prior to being placed with NP Group. Our office follows all state and federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and all calls made with regards to Ms. [redacted] followed those regulations and guidelines.  During our skip tracing and location efforts we were attempting to locate Ms. [redacted] to send her a  required notice. Upon verifying her identity we were able to provide her with the details of the account  in our office. Ms. [redacted] immediately disputed the debt and refused to resolve with our office. We offered Ms. [redacted] documentation of the debt and she refused to update a home address or email with us so we could send her the notice which is required of us by law. NP Group immediately placed the account into a non working status and ceased all communication with her. NP Group follows all state and federal laws and we complied with her legal right for communication to be ceased, so at no point  was NP Group in any violation of the FDCPA. We would like to assure not only your office but also Ms. [redacted] that there has not been nor will there be any communication attempts to her regarding this matter. NP Group has accepted this complaint as a formal cease and desist.  Please feel free to contact our office with any additional questions that you may have, Best Regards, Authorized Representative of NP Group

Please see attached response.March 4, 2016Re: [redacted]Case No: [redacted]Dear [redacted]National Principal Group (“National”) is in receipt of the above complaint and we appreciate the opportunity to respond. We originally spoke with Ms. [redacted] when she contacted our office on March 3,...

2016 (after this complaint was made to your organization). At that time we advised Ms. [redacted] of the account we had for her in our office, and all it entailed. During this conversation Ms. [redacted] stated that she had filed the complaint because she thought this pertained to an issue with an apartment complex. However, the account we were referring to was regarding an outdated loan in Ms. [redacted]' maiden name of [redacted]. This loan dates back to November, 2013 with an original creditor of [redacted] The original loan ID on this loan ends in [redacted]Besides realizing that Ms. [redacted] had us mistaken with another company, it was also determined that Ms. [redacted] would like to dispute this debt since she did not believe that this was something she had done. Her account was immediately moved into a “dispute” status, and there has been no further collection or communication attempts since that initial conversation. National follows all Federal law; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and any calls made were in compliance with those regulations and guidelines. Once this complaint was received we treated it as a written cease and desist, and there has been no further attempt to contact Ms. [redacted] by our company. Going forward, there will be no further communication attempts to Ms. [redacted] regarding this matter, and her account has been closed in our office. Please feel free to contact the undersigned with any additional questions.Sincerely,Sherice M. P[redacted]Authorized Representative of National Principal Group

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.   Is there a way to get a direct number for [redacted] so I can resolve the issue with her?  Regards,   [redacted]

It most definitely is the same group. They called themselves the NP Group. With the SAME website they have now. They don't have the same number as then. They change it over and over again. Just read through your other complaints, you will see that. As for phone records, I do not have phone records from that far back. My phone is a pre-paid phone, there is no plan, therefore no records. I want the results I specified. If that is not reached, my next course of action will be to take legal action against NP Group AND the Revdex.com.

before accounts are placed in our office by the current creditor and owner. NP Group follows all federal law; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). NP Group respectfully disagrees with Ms. [redacted]’s recollection of events. NP Group’s records reflect that during our skip tracing and location efforts we have spoken to Ms. [redacted]. Once NP Group verified that we had the correct party we then verified our information with her and sent her the required notice. For Ms. [redacted] and your offices reference we have included the required notice with our response. At no time did NP Group refuse to provide Ms. [redacted] the required notice or mention that we were working for VPN. We have interviewed the agent and they admittedly deny threating to report this matter to Ms. [redacted]’s credit report. We have placed a note in the agent’s file. on an outdated loan in Ms. [redacted]’s name. This loan was issued in June, 2012 by Midland Financial, and was issued an original ID number ending in [redacted]. National follows all Federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection  Practices Act (FDCPA). Any calls made with regard to this account followed those regulations and rules, and were to simply obtain a verified address so that we could send out information pertaining to this account, which is required of us by law. All of our employees are trained to be professional and courteous at all times, doing the contrary would not be beneficial to our business model. After a reviewof our records, we do not show ever speaking with Ms. [redacted], therefore it seems as though she has us confused with another company that is trying to contact her.  As previously stated, National has considered this complaint as a formal cease and desist. number ending in 7458. While we sympathize with Ms. [redacted]'s situation we must disagree with the allegations she has made against our company. We originally spoke with Ms. [redacted] on 12/11/2015 and informed her of the claim we had in our office and all it entailed. Never once was Ms. [redacted] told she would be “arrested if she did not pay her loan”. All information on file was verified by Ms. [redacted] and she decided to resolve her debt as long as we provided information showing this would settle her account. While our associate was speaking with her a payment plan letter was sent to her showing the one time payment of $590.00 to be paid that same day. All information was sent via secured email through DocuSign® which required an individualized access code to be opened. Ms [redacted] opened the email while she was still on the phone with our associate, signed the document electronically, and agreed to the arrangement. After her payment posted, and we received the signature back she was then sent a Satisfaction and Release letter showing that she was absolved of the debt. These documents are attached for your convenience along with the certificate from DocuSign® which time stamps when this occurred as well as shows the IP address of the device used to sign the documents.  As Ms. [redacted] has satisfied her debt with us there has been no need for further contact, and her account is considered “Paid in Full” Please feel free to contact the undersigned with any additional  questions.Sincerely,  Sherice M. I have reviewed the comments from National Principal Group. Honestly they can say what they like to scare me like they did on those dates in which they called me. Yes I cancelled my debit card because there is no way absolutely no way that I'm going to pay a "collection agency" for something I don't owe. I never heard of [redacted] Group to begin with. Back in december 2013 I did not have the bank account which they claim I had. Regardless whether I had that account or not, the account that I did have with another banker, I kept all my transactions documents and deposits. Nowhere does it show that I received funds from [redacted] Grpup. Especially an online payday loan. Hackers are able to get anyone's information, so of course I confirmed that all the information they read to me was mine...no one else knows your SSN better than yourself. I have already done all my research on both of these companies and I know better now. I will not pay a dime to these people. This is FRAUD. They need to leave me alone and stop threatning me. I have all the voicemails as well so they cannot say that they were professional at all times. The fishiest part of it all was that I supposedly owed around $700 but if I paid that same day I would pay $400 or so. now that is unheard of!! If they threaten me again I will have no other choice but to continue with the papers with my lawyer.

creditor and owner for collection. All information has been verified before the placement of the account with NP Group. NP Group follows all federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and all calls made with regards to Ms. [redacted] followed those regulations. At no time did our representatives or our message state that she was a missing person, threaten arrest use vulgar profanities, or anything about law enforcement. She absolutely is incorrect about her recollections of the calls and we urge Ms. [redacted] to provide NP Group of the alleged proof. At no time did NP Group disclose or ask for money from a third party. To do so would be a violation of the FDCPA. NP Group was attempting to locate Ms. [redacted] to send her a required notice. At no time did our represntatives refuse to provide her with documentation. While NP Group was on the phone with Ms. [redacted] and she provided a current valid email address for the correspondence to be immediately sent to her. She provided the email contact and we sent her the required notice. The only contact our office has had with Ms. [redacted] was on September 12, 2016 when we sent her the required notice via email, per her request and at the same time she requested to dispute the debt. Without hesitation we immediately moved her account into a dispute/ non-working status and ceased all communication with her. Since that day, the initial day of contact, all communication had ceased and we have not attempted to contact her again. We honored her verbal request to cease collection attempts. Again, if Ms. [redacted] has proof to the contrary we wish she would submit that to our company. We have accepted this complaint as a formal cease and desist, and we assure your office there has not been nor will there be any further contact or communication to Ms. [redacted] from NP Group in regards to this mater. Please feel free to contact NP Group with any additional information you may need. Authorized Representative of NP Group

creditors of the personal loans are Insight Capital, last four of the original account number are 3572 and Liberty Group, last four of the original account number are5709. Each loan has originated in the year 2012. All information has been verified before the placement of the account with NP Group. NP Group follows all federal laws; specifically the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”). All calls made followed those guide lines and we respectfully disagree with Ms. [redacted]’s accounts of what happened. At no time did anyone from NP Group claim that MS. [redacted] was a “missing person” or that “the police are trying to locate” her.  Ms. [redacted] was given a secured website to view the information that was provided for the loans in Ms. [redacted]’s name. NP Group takes great efforts to ensure the safety of our consumers’  personal information and requires verification before being granted access. Re: [redacted]
Case No: [redacted]
Dear [redacted],
National Principal Group (“National”) has received the above complaint with regards to [redacted]
[redacted], and appreciates the opportunity to respond.
National is a collection agency which was collecting...

on an outdated personal loan in Ms.
[redacted]'s name from Liberty Group LLC. This loan dates back to September, 2013, and has an account
number ending in 6682.
We at National adamantly disagree with the recollection of accounts surrounding our dealings
with Ms. [redacted]. We originally spoke with Ms. [redacted] on 12/11/2015, and at that time she gave us
permission to speak with her husband as well as her regarding this matter. Both parties were on the call
and were explained the details of the claim we had in our office. At that time we explained that this
type of loan is not based on credit, that it is merely based on a valid employment history and bank
account. It was never stated that there would be “charges filed” against Ms. [redacted] for lack of
payment. All information on file was verified by Ms. [redacted], and she then stated that the email used to
obtain the loan belonged to her daughter. She and her husband agreed to pay the loan back, and we
provided her a letter sent via secure email showing the arrangement. Attached you will see the attached
agreement that was electronically signed by Ms. [redacted] agreeing to the arrangement, and authorizing
the payment of $460.00 to settle the account in full. This letter also provides all of the information
pertaining to the loan.
While we understand Ms. [redacted]'s concerns we would like to assure both your organization
and her that we are not a scam, and that all information has been verified before we received it in our
office. As Ms. [redacted] has settled her account, there will be no future contact from our organization. Please feel free to contact the undersigned for any additional questions.Sincerely,
Sherice M. [redacted] Authorized Representative of National Principal Group
