NPG is a collection agency which is currently collecting on an outdated personal loan in Mr.***'s name dating back to January, Bel Capital is the original creditor, and the original account number referenced has the last four digits of ***While we sympathize with Mr***'s situation, we must disagree with his recollection of events concerning this claimWe originally spoke with Mr*** on 11/18/2015, and at that time he verified the information we had on file for himWhen we explained the details of the claim in our office Mr *** advised us that although he applied for the above mentioned loan, he had never actually accepted the offerOnce we were informed of this information our agent immediately moved Mr***'s claim into a “Dispute” status, and no further collection activity had occurredWe will consider Mr***'s complaint a cease and desist, and will closeout his account in our officeThere will be no further contact from our office regarding this matterAny further questions or concerns can be directed to the undersignedSincerely, Sherice M*** Authorized Representative of National Principal Group

While I accept their statement that they will cease all collection
and communication - as they should - I disagree with several parts of
their response. They claim that, while they were ready to
send the debt verification letter (which is required by law), they
didn't because I made the statement that "anyone can create one of
those" - that's absolutely unfounded and untrue. I never said that.
Even if I had said that, they're still required by law to send one (and
to send by MAIL), so to allege that this step was skipped because of my
behavior and feedback is simply a lie. This also shouldn't have
warranted the account to be closed, preventing them from sending that
letter. I never told them to close the account, I was simply asking
them for the information that confirmed this debt they claim to be
valid. Additionally, the attached debt validation letters
that they are now presenting, which they claim they would have sent at
the initial point of contact in December but didn't due to my behavior,
are dated for 1/13/16. Why are they dated for yesterday if a) they were
ready to send in December and b) they're claiming to cease all
collection activity (and did so in December)...nothing should be dated
beyond our initial date of communicationFinally, for them
to allege that I was rude and they did nothing unprofessional is also a
blatant lie. Funny that they're able to "quote" my words to them,
because if they had truly documented our conversations, they would own
the fact that they commented on my level of intelligence, yelled at me,
and hung up on me when I was simply trying to collect the information I
am owed. I include all of this in my response because I
want to reiterate to the Revdex.com that this operation is not only
unprofessional, but fraudulent and they need to be monitored and/or
completely shut down. The only part of their response that I will
accept is their agreement to never contact us and cease any of this
"collection activity"

During our skip tracing and location efforts we were attempting to locate an individual by the same name as Ms*** ***Upon furthur review our records indicate that although we did try to locate a Ms***, we have never spoken with herWe believe it may be possible that Ms*** confused NP Group with a different entity entirely. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowAll statements made by NP Group are completely erroneousIn fact, I never did have any such dealings with JD Marketing Group, I have never taken out a payday loan from such company in my lifeThe representative on the phone LIED and claimed they were a mediation group, NOT a debt collection agency, and that if I did not settle the debt that legal action would be taken against meShe also claimed that JD Marketing group was bought out by my bank, which I used in and that I made payments to JD Marketing group in regards to this fraudThe bank I used in and previous to that was Chase bankSo I asked her, if she was saying that they were bought out by chase bank, her reply was they were a subsidieree of themAfter further research on the internet, JD Marketing has been running money schemes for years and are a scam organizationTherefore, NP Group is trying to collect money that NEVER existed under pretenses of being a mediation group and taking legal action if no money is collectedI stand by my original statements, NP Group is a scam organization, running a scam...Otherwise, they would have no issues telling me who they legitimately are and what their legitimate address isSEVERAL representatives at that company hung the phone up on me when I asked them what their address wasI had to go back to the original representative to get it, and in which she told me a post office address and not the actual address of the companyPlease make these statements public, so that when NP Group has a class action suit against them, I can be included for their gross and severe violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices ActRegards, *** ***

After reading the response from NP Group, I recognize that unless I have a recorder in hand when companies that operate like NP Group do, I will not be able to provide "evidence" of the business practice used by them to "arouse" call backsThe company's automated message was extremely loud and demandingThe words used that I MUST call back and the context around the wording did leave me to believe that I was in chance of having legal ramifications if I did not reply, whether or not I was the individual they were seekingWhile they have agreed not to contact me anymore, the fact that the business practices are used by such companies is demeaning to the individuals who are the unlucky enough to be put in the unfortunate wrong end of such an automated messageThen individuals that try to alert others of this practice are stuck with the burden of proofFor that reason, I do not accept the response that was given to me by this companyRegards, *** ***
