Review: I went to this dealership with a blank check in hand from [redacted] to trade in my car and finance a car at a lower rate. I informed the salesman, who's name is [redacted] that I was interested in the Nissan Quest. He asked for my keys to my potential trade in and I gave them to him. He looked at my current car loan and stated that I was late on payments for my current car, and that it would be hard to get approved for the Quest.I then explained to him that I already was approved through [redacted] and I saw that they had a Memorial Day special online for a middle version Quest which was for 25,995. I stated that I was approved up to 23,166,but wanted to see if he could work with the price for me so I would be able to finance the Quest. He IMMEDIATELY tried to talk me out of the Quest and instead talked up the Nissan Pathfinder.I told him NUMEROUS times that I was not interested in the Pathfinder and that I wanted the Quest because I have two small children. He kept on insisting but I was still not interested so he got his manager [redacted].He came over and explained that for the amount I wanted to spend (no more than $500 per month), it would only be with the Path.He said that my payments would stay at 519.00.[redacted] went to get keys to drive me to look at the Path.Once he came back, I asked for my keys to my car to drop my daughter home.He said,"Oh, take my car and come back so I can show you the car." I told him that I needed my car because I needed her car seat.He asked me to be truthful as to why I wanted to leave.I told him again I needed to take my daughter home.He went inside to"get my keys".He came out and said his boss could make a deal for the Quest. He never showed me the Quest only the Pathfinder and scammed me into a lease!I never said I wanted a lease. The payments are 619.00 much more and they are not returning my calls. He tried to sell me a used car with 7500+ miles as a new car! Returned it on 5/26 and that's when I found out it was a lease.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of my $500 deposit and I want them to void this lease at no cost to myself. They were so quick to void the Pathfinder [redacted] tried to sell to me that had 7,500+ miles on it,but they will not void this new Pathfinder. I signed those papers under false pretenses. Never once did I say to [redacted] that I wanted to lease a vehicle. It does not make sense for myself or my family for me to lease a base model vehicle at 619.00 per month. I want them to return my phone calls that I have made to them. They need to be brought to justice and stop swindling people out of their hard earned money. And stop taking customer's keys and refusing to give them back and stop lying and using shady business practices to get over on people. I would also like an apology from the salesman, manager and owner of this dealership.

Review: I purchase a used car signed the contract drove home only to learn many safety concerns dealer refused to communicate despite many efforts dealer misrepresented was not honest and ignores and refused to respond to request for repairs before warranty expiration dateDesired Settlement: repait of eveything that was wrong with car prior to dealer allowing the expiration time to expire

Review: I purchased an item through the parts department. I work for a dealership so they honored a discount because of it. I paid cash for the purchase. I later found that I did not need the item and proceeded to return it. I brought it back (unopened) with the original receipt. After dealing with one of the employees telling me they can only refund the amount in a check to the dealership. I said no, I paid cash I want cash. I even offered for them to remove the discount and give me back the difference. I was told I would have to wait for the manager named (Guy) who gave me an attitude and told me he couldn't do anything for me with an attitude. I said who do I have to talk to? He said Frank T[redacted] I said u sure u want me to go there? He said go ahead. I called the dealership, and was unable to reach this guy. I want my money back.Desired Settlement: My refund

Business

Response:

It is our company policy that we do not give cash refunds. We would issue the customer a check for the refund, which will be done.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I paid cash and thats what I would like back. If that's a company policy, they should only accept a check with the initial transaction. Poor customer experience.

Review: Purchased a new car for my mother at Rt. 46 Nissan. Participated in American Express True Car Program which gave me a final price certificate (quote emailed to me by Nissan 46) including document fee. The salesman, [redacted], was very helpful and the price on the certificate was agreed to by a sales manager. We discussed l the particulars and, after 4 hours, I had to leave for a business meeting and left my mother there to complete the paperwork and take delivery. I later realized that they had charged the documentary fee twice. Also, I was told that I had to have etching on the windows even though I said I did not want this at a cost of $288. Went back next day when I realized what I thought was a mistake in their charging the documentary fee twice and also that there was no etching on the windows even though I was charged for it. Spoke to the sales manager, [redacted], who was rude and did not want to hear that there was an error even though I had it in writing on their certificate. He said I got a good deal and should be satisifed. Even thought it was incorrect?? I spoke to another manager who did not want to get involved but referred me to yet another manager, [redacted] but we did not get anywhere as he was mainly upset because I had expressed my unhappiness about this matter in the survey sent by Nissan.

I have been there in person and communicated with them by email. Have also contacted Nissan consumer AffairsDesired Settlement: Refund of the Documentary Fee (paid twice) and refund of $288 paid for window etching that is not on the car

Business

Response:

We can refund the Window Etching that is not a problem. The customer was not charged twice for documentary fee. They were charged $349.00 for the documentary fee and $425.00 for their motor vehicle fee. They are due back $139.00 for the motor vehicle overage which will be sent to them in a check along with a refund for $269.00 for the window etching.

Review: Bought vehicle and now come to find that it was involved in a crash and it has been damaged since I purchased it. The accident was never disclosed to me and this was a brand new 2015 vehicle.Desired Settlement: Brand new vehicle

Business

Response:

As we have state to this customer this vehicle has never been in an accident. The car was purchased brand new. We showed the customer the CarFax as well as all repair orders for the vehicle. Our dealership never sent this car out for any body work. We contacted [redacted] to have a representative come to inspect the vehicle but he has been out of work due to family issues and once he returns we will be setting up a meeting. The customer was told this numerous times and it is one of our top priorities, but at this point we are at the mercy of the [redacted]. We will be in touch with the customer as soon as we here from the corporate representative. In the meantime I will have the head of all of our service departments reach out to the customer.

Review: We have purchased a 2015 Nissan Rogue from the Nissan Route 46 dealership on 10.06.2014. At the time of the purchase we were informed we will be receiving our title and registration within a couple of weeks. Our temporary plates have expired on 10.26.2014 and we contacted the dealership in search for more information on the status of our plates. We were told they should be ready soon and to keep on driving using our temporary expired plates . One week after, we went to Route 46 Nissan and spoke with [redacted], our sales person and with [redacted] the sales manager, they were very reluctant to help and called us stupid and not so bright that we cannot understand what they were telling us. Upon leaving their facility, we got pulled over and the police ticketed us for driving an unregistered vehicle. At that time we demanded to have this issue solved. They were extremely rude in their approach but they did rented a car for us .

As of now, it has been more than two weeks and after checking with the RMV as well, we know that the car has not been registered nor is it in the process of being registered.Desired Settlement: We wish to either have our contract nulled and be refunded our deposit of 5.000 dollars or have our car registered. The following complaint will be used in a lawsuit if we cannot come to terms with the dealership.

Business

Response:

This customer has spoken with numerous people at our dealership. They are in a rental vehicle while their [redacted] plates are completed by the [redacted] DMV. We have been at the mercy of the [redacted] DMV and have paid for the customer to be in a rental car; everyone has been working non-stop to get this customer their plates. The customer plates will be arriving today 12/5 from [redacted]

Review: I leased a new car in August 2014. I put extra money down due to damage on my car that I was trading back in (former leased car for a new lease).

I received a bill, after receiving/signing off for my new lease, for over $500. The head of finance, [redacted] told me I owed the money, even though I put down extra money initially to avoid this. He then hung up the phone on me. I contacted his superior, who never contacted me back. I also asked for proof of papers the I sign that showed I owed the remaining balance, and they never provided them to me. I contacted the car salesman, [redacted], who told me he "would take care of it" and would also fax me the papers that showed I signed that I would pay the remaining balance of the damages for the old car (he never did). [redacted] did continue to call me however, to refer people to him who needed a new car. I received only one bill from Nissan saying I owed this $500+ for the outstanding damages to my old car.

I have now received a letter from collections, even though I only received one bill from Nissan! They sent it to collections after only one bill! I called [redacted] again this past week to send me the papers saying I owed this and I agreed to this. He told me he would send them the next day and call me back- he did not. I left him another message- he did not call me back. I can not even talk to his superior because he hung up the phone on me [redacted] is his name). I contacted [redacted] superior- he never contacted me back. In general, they still have not provided me with proof that I owe this and they sent it to collections after receiving only one bill.

Also, [redacted] begged me to score 10's on his review. He also calls weekly for referrals, but won't send me the proof that I owe this amount.Desired Settlement: To not owe this and for an apology, and/or terminate my new lease due to fraud advertising/sales.

Response:

Received complaint today, 11-17-2014, called the cr provided 3 times today with no answer, #[redacted]). Spoke with Nissan as well todat for the second time, complaint reads that Nissan only sent 1 notice, Nissan said they sent a total of three notices to the same address, Also, dealership has signed documentation by complainant understanding that the dealership would only be responsible for $2700.00 for 9 payments of $300.00, Not for any damage that was on the vehicle and time of lease return. Nissan did wave the first $500.00 worth of damage as well as a $350 disposition fee, and I was also able to get Nissan to good will another $50.00 today which the complainant is unaware of at present. Initial bill was for $4158, the current bill is for $519.61 as per Nissan on 11-17-2014. . .

Review: A few months ago I returned my lease of a 2013 nissan altima and traded it in for a 2014 nissan altima. Automall 46 was supposed to take care off the remainder of all charges and the lease on the 2013 altima as it was traded in. I am still getting bills for the 2013 Altima even though I traded it in months ago. I am also being harassed with numerous phone calls from automall 46 about my trade in car trying to tell me about new deals and asking about a car I don't have.Desired Settlement: All I want is for Nissan to fulfill our contract as this is affecting my credit score and refund any trouble this has caused me.

Business

Response:

A manager will be contacting the customer to have this resolved.

Review: Purchased new auto on 10/3/2013. (1) Never received a complete itemization of charges and have requested it multiple times. (2) Using my own calculations, determined the dealership overcharged sales tax and have not been able to get a commitment to refund overage. (3) Dealership charged a flat registration fee for out of state registration but said they would be refunding the different between actual and their charge -- they have not refunded nor accounted for that. (4) Within 30 days of purchase, we notified the dealership in writing to cancel our $2495 + tax extended warranty. Today, I reached someone in finance who told me they have not processed the paperwork. (5) The dealership and, specifically, its Finance manager [redacted], refuse to return my calls about these very serious issues.Desired Settlement: I just want what I am owed and some cordial responsiveness to my concerns. Also, because they delayed the cancellation of the Extended Warranty, they should either back date it to the fax date or refund me the difference in a check payment.

Business

Response:

His warranty was cancelled and it is the full refund. The refund gets applied to the balance of his loan since there is still a lein holder. A check was cut and sent to [redacted] for the amount of $2,495.00. He should see his credit applied very soon.

Review: I was in to purchase a car on March14,2015 when I left the building I was told that the paperwork was in the car. all that was in the car was the temp registration. I was called few days later to be told they did not have me sign the tax papers. They drove them to me in ** to sign a week later. I have been calling them for the paperwork and the ** license plates and the second key they were supposed to have made for the car. As of today my plates are expired and can not drive the car for that reason. I was told to drive it and if I get stopped they would help with the ticket. I feel that is not acceptable as I've never been stopped by a cop. I have called and left several messages and no one calls back.Desired Settlement: I would like a copy of my sales paperwork, I want the second key made and I want the plates so I can drive the car I have to pay for

Business

Response:

The customer's plates were completed and all other concerns should have been taken care of. A manager will be calling the customer to confirm.

Review: It all started when I contacted Route 46 Nissan by phone after completing an online Financing form for a vehicle I was interested in. A person named [redacted] called back saying I was qualified. I asked several times if it was pre-qualification or qualified. He stated qualified. He also stated the car was for $10999 and price was negotiable. When I showed up, I found I was pre-qualified and several hard inquiries went on my credit report before I was qualified. The sales person [redacted] would not negotiate price of vehicle even though [redacted] said price was negotiable. [redacted] also re-assured me that the vehicle was in a very minor accident where the rear bumper was a little messed up then repaired. It was only when I was signing all the finance forms that I found out the price was $13,999. $3000 more than they told me!!!! Great time to find out. While I was signing, the person watching me seemed to get fustrated that I was actually reading the documents instead of just signing like he kept prompting me to. A few days after bringing the vehicle home, I found out this vehicle was involved in a major accident involving rear bumper and quarter panel and was not repaired properly. I contacted dealership and they refuse to do anything. I also had to complain to the dealership in order to get my registration and ** plates before the temp plate they gave me expired. I almost forgot to mention that the tire size was incorrect on the rear rims of this vehicle. This dealership will lie to you and tell you anything just to get a car out the door, they didnt even bother cleaning the car before delivery. They do not focus on relationship building that successful car dealerships are about. I complained and the dealership states they will get back to me. Needless to say, they havent gotten back to me. Route 46 Nissan Auto Mall needs to be approached with caution or totally avoided. There are many other good car dealerships out there. BEWARE OF ROUTE 46 NISSAN AUTOMALL IN NEW JERSEY!Desired Settlement: There are a few settlements that would make me think differently about the dealership. They could give me either a 3 year extended warranty, repair the accident damage professionally, refund the $3000 or at least most of it, give me reliable good name brand winter tires for the vehicle.

Business

Response:

While looking through the documents of this deal on the worksheet, which is where the salesman initially starts working a deal with the customer, it clearly states that the price for the car was $13,999. Also the customer looked at the car thoroughly prior to the sale and saw the damage and there was no deal made that the current dents and damage were going to be fixed. The customer went over the CarFax with the salesman and also signed a cop of the CarFax which states the car had been involved in accidents. If the customer had wanted an extended warranty he was offered one at time of sale which he could have purchased and included the price into his monthly payments but he denied to do so. Both the sales person and manager spent time disclosing everything to the customer and if he had had a question while in the financing office he could have called one of them in to go over any questions he had. The sales manager has reached out to the customer several times to answer any questions he has an help him in any way we can, but customer was fully aware of the price of the car at time of sale, prior accidents and the damage on car at time of sale and it was being cosmetically sold as-is. The customer is more than welcome to come in and we will gie him a free fuill detail as well as go over any other financing questions he has with a manager.

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

After looking at the car and car fax report, I specifically asked the sales person about how much damage there was in the previous accident and the sales person said that it was very minor and only involved the rear bumper. He said that it happened in a parking lot. I asked him if he was very sure about this information he was relating to me, and he said he was "absolutely positive". This was a dishonest statement due to the fact that the whole quarter panel, rear bumper and tail light were damaged when I had it more closely inspected. The sales person blatantly lied about previous damage. When I spoke to the sales person, he said that the price was $10,999 after viewing the vehicle and sitting down with the sales person. It was only AFTER I was brought to a different sales rep in a different office that I found out what the real price was. I found out the real price while reading the paperwork I was about to sign. NO ONE TOLD ME THE REAL PRICE OF THE VEHICLE UNTIL I WAS ABOUT TO SIGN THE PAPERWORK. The person witnessing my signatures was also trying to hurry me in signing and was getting fustrated that I was reading all the paperwork. He even mentioned to me that I "didnt have to read everything". The license plates also took very long to get and I had to complain in order to get them before the temporary plate they issued expired. It is also a very bad practice for a high volume dealership such as Route 46 Nissan to deliver a car in the condition the car was in (very dirty with stains). The sales man was in a big hurry to get me out the door. Everyone had a nasty attitude and no one was very helpful when I spoke about my concerns. This is very bad customer service.
