Noom

I never signed up for Noom. Have no clue why I received 8 emails from them, including a receipt! Since I can’t sign into their app, since I never signed up for their product, and there is not a way to speak to a live person, I’m going to call my credit card company tomorrow and make sure they block any and all transactions dealing with Noom. Funny thing is, had they asked, I might have given it a go with Noom. But since they hijacked my info and email, and possibly my credit card number, I’m through with them.

I tried to cancel my account, only to find out I had already been charged for 2 months in advance. Impossible to speak to a representative. Business unresponsive to emails.

Total scam. Trial ends and they hit you for over $150 and don't offer prorated refund. Do not use!!!

I am in the same boat as Kristen, Tonya and other. Seems like tricking trial customers to pay up for 4 months subscription is the main revenue generation model for this company.The main fact, that there is no straightforward way ( a simple cancel) to cancel trial signup or even an option to set the cancellation of trial in advance ( something that legit/reputed companies such as *** and *** have in their model) to the renewal date. explains the intentions of this company. The entire app and website UI is designed to make it hard for anyone to cancel.Just read through all these reviews from just last 1 months. This shows it's a real issue. Ankit is right when he says it's a scam. Wanted to try this as I heard as on NPR. But, did not expect this type of misleading approach from a company that advertises on NPR.

I cancelled the subscription before it renewed and was still charged 149$! Their website and app neither have a way to contact them and says they do not offer refunds! I cancelled this and never authorized this charge! This is a total scam!!!!

Noom is a rip off! When you try to cancel your subscription (there is no way to get in touch with them). This was after I had a debit on my account for $161.00 which I did not authorize. I only authorized the $3.00 to learn about the program. I should have read the reviews first but I didn't think it was necessary because the only amount I authorized was the $3.00.

I was charged 159.08 after the $1 trial. I was also under the impression that it would not be a LUMP SUM of 160. I cannot afford 160.00 for an app that I barely used if at all. I rarely even heard from my coach - which had I heard from a coach within the past few days - I would have probably been reminded to check to see when my trial was up. The holidays are here and having 160 which I feel was robbed from me is heartbreaking. I also find it ironic that even though I have messaged and messaged noom - I have heard from NO ONE! but they sure were quick to take the money out as soon as midnight hit on the first day my trial ended. ITS SUCH BULL. I even checked my emails to make sure that I didn't miss a reminder - and there was no email from them reminding me of the end of my trial informing me that I would be charged. I wish I never heard of NOOM! should be illegal!

Tried to cancel my trial membership at the end of my trial and couldn't do it via the app. Contacted Noom today to do so (when the charge hit, and after having to research it online, because they do not make it easy to do so), but my "counselor" is clearly a bot and not a person, who basically said, Oh gee, sorry, too bad for you. This app is deceptive. It's the only one I've EVER tried that does not assist you during the trial before you are automatically charged for the renewal, and you cannot interact with a person for assistance, nor will they resolve it. I've never encountered a program of any kind that won't allow you to cancel before the trial ends or on the day it renews, and even for several days after. And the bottom line is that they could if they wanted to offer great customer service. Because I would have signed up again later. It's a choice they are making and it's a bad one because now I'm going to warn everyone I know and everywhere I can about what will be done to you if you sign up for a trial. The bottom line is they just don't care if you are unhappy about it either. They keep your money and move on.

Noom is a rip off. I joined an tried to cancel my subscription. I have not been able to get a hold of anyone. They have taken $160 from my account with out my permission.

On February 13, I paid $1 for a Trial subscription, same day I was charge $59.00 then 15 days later,february 28, I was charged $159.00 and in October 28, they charge another $159.00, so in about 8 months they charged my card $368.00 I'm requested a refund and all got is a system generated answer. You can’t even talk to a real person, or get a response in their chat,everything is system generated messages even the so called coaches. I'm very disappointed with NOOM app services. I hope other people do not fall for this scam.

I asked for a refund. The app said that they switched me to a free version. The app will no longer allow me to communicate with it. I don’t know if they refunded the money to my account. Please help. There is no phone number listed to call.

I was going to do the trial and when I found out I would be continuing to get charged I didn't finish the process. I didn't even download the app, so imagine my surprise when I see a bill for $130!!! This seems to be a very unethical company. I am charged a crazy amount of money for 4 months in advance for a service I don't want. Now I have to download an app to cancel something I thought I didn't sign up for in the first place. When I tried to cancel, it says there isn't even an account with my e-mail. I feel I should get a full refund, especially since this is for 4 months in advance! I will be sure to warn my friends and followers about this, so it doesn't happen to them. If I could get a refund I would at least feel they weren't out to scam consumers.

I signed up for the 14 day trial at $10.00. After the 14 day trial ended yesterday, I tried to cancel, and was charged $149 for a six month plan. I was never asked what type of plan I wanted or for how long I wanted it. I’ve tried to contact customer support and have not gotten anywhere with that. I tried my bank and they said that they are unable to file a fraudulent charge because of their terms of service with this crooked company. So I’m out $149 and a bunch of heartburn tablets. What a horrible business plan.

Did a trial, cancelled it and still got billed $150.00 which I cannot afford. Tried contacting someone, but there is no customer service to talk to.

Sketchy. Trial subscription turns into 4 month subscription being automatically deducted after “free” 2 week trial. You can cancel but no refunds. No warning text saying there is about to be a large withdrawal. They just take it.
Lesson learned. No more dealing with this company.

Have tried multiple times to request a refund, but the E-mail address seems to be a AI. With a generic reply every time.

I received no correspondence when my free trial was over. I never received any correspondence for billing dates. I got an email from
My credit card company that stated a payment to Noom had been cancelled due to lack of funds. Upon further research, I found they had taken money out in July. $130 to be exact. When I contacted them, they gave me a base response of “you signed up and the trial ended in 14 days” and then the case was dropped. Had they provided proof that I agreed to the 130$ then there would be no issue, however they have not

noom is an absolute scam. I paid $1 for a subscription and days later was charged $160. They won’t offer a refund and you can’t even talk to a real person. They make you email and chat on the app which leads to no real resolutions. I’m very convinced they make their money by scamming people. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY AND DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS. My bills won’t be able to be paid because of this app.

The company imposed an auto-renew without showing it and billed on me for the next 6 months with a charge of 149. Their policy refuses to refound. I'm so disappointed with there program and policy. The service is not worse it.
