They make it impossible to cancel. If u want to try the free trial I don’t recommend u do so. Stay away.
I initially joined over the summer. I went on a couple of vacation and wanted to put my activities on hold. I was told that was impossible. I tried to catch up but that was difficult as well. I had no idea I would be automatically renewed. It would be okay if I could start over but I'm told that's not possible. There is no way to speak with anyone to work this out. I called the number on this site but it was just a recording telling me to go to the app. I'm utterly frustrated.

automatic charge for 4 months in advance. even if you cancel immediately, they claim they can't refund the advance payment. I complained through the support page that I did not want to do business with such an unethical company. I did get a refund, but they make it very difficult to find cancellation policies and to reach a real human.

Company’s trial period is misleading. Service charges upfront for three months of service without ability to cancel or receive a refund for services not rendered. Inability to communicate with costumer service or
account support.

Scam subscription and cancellation policy. Once the trial period concluded, they charged me for several months of service without any warning. I'm convinced this is how they make most of their money.

Program is okay and does provide some helpful tricks for weightless, however there billing practices are shady at best. I signed up for an 8 month plan. 8 months later I was charged double for another 8 months of service even though I never agreed to recurring billing. Be weary if you sign up. Ensure you cancel recurring billing as soon as you can.

My experience is the same with NOom. I paid 1 euro for subscribing for the trial version of Noom and totally forgot about it except for the first day I installed the app. 15 days later without even opening the app, my bank informs me that Noom took 109 euro from my credit card. I even called the bank and they told me that the payment is successful. I will write a complaint there and deactivate my credit card because of all those comments online that say that you continue to be charged. I canceled my subscription and I got an email in which they say they will refund me in 2-5 business days. If that happens, I will post here again. Let’s hope they refund me. Because I didn’t choose a plan, or get any notification nothing at all…. Just my credit card was charged with this amount of money…Did anyone of you get a refund at all ?

I used the app for about 4 months and did get a lot out of it. But as a working mom, life got busy and I haven't used it for a couple weeks. I forgot about the auto-renew and did not cancel before my renewal. Now I'm out $129 for a service I will likely not continue to use. It would have been nice to at least receive a reminder email or notification from the app that the plan was about to renew. The whole thing feels very shady and a lot like a cash grab. I had been recommending this program to friends that were trying to get healthier, but after this experience I'm going to give a very heavy dose of caution if I even recommend it at all. Just leaves a really bad taste after a fairly positive experience with it. Good program for meeting healthier living goals, very questionable company practices and policies...

I joined Noom on October , 2019. I found the program difficult to follow and I didn't like that it was entirely online. on October , I paid a trial payment of $10 for the first 2 weeks. But I did not like the program, and on Nov. I cancelled the program. On that same day, I had a $149 charge from Noom on my bank statement as the first payment. (You pay $10 for a trial period of the first 14 days and then $149 monthly thereafter). You can't call them (no phone number) so I ended up contacting "customer service" via e-mail and they told me they would give me a refund in 2-3 days. So I should have gotten a refund by Nov. *. It is now Nov. 13 and I still haven't gotten a refund. I have contacted them numerous times and they keep sending me back the same message stating I will have a refund by Nov. *. The last e-mail I got from Noom told me to contact my bank to see if they could find an error. I called my bank (***) tonight (11/) and they said there were no mistakes on their part, and there were no refunds from Noom. I want my $149 back. The program did not work for me, and I can't afford to throw away that amount of money.

I signed up for Noom years ago and their coaching was non-existent, so I asked for the billing to stop. I thought it had because I didn't see it on the next billing cycle on my card. However, it turns out that they were charging quarterly and I missed it. I had forgotten I ever signed up with them because I only used them for a very short time, like under the 14 day trial time. I started hearing good things about them from friends and decided to try again. Turns out not only was my account still active, but they'd been charging me FOR YEARS at $99 x4 per year. Under the account settings they do not list the sign-up date or any previous payments past the last one and the next payment scheduled. I have not used the app in at least 3 years. and there has never been any communication from them as far as reminders (as weight-loss trackers always do).

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. HOWEVER, THE BUSINESS WAS FULLY AWARE THAT I HAD REQUESTED THEM TO STOP SERVICE AND BILLING IN JULY OF 2017. THEY BLATANTLY IGNORED THAT REQUEST AND HAVE BEEN CHARGING ME (WHICH THEY HAVE ADMITTED IN WRITING OVER EMAIL) FOR OVER 2 YEAR (I WAS INCORRECT ON THE DATE). THIS IS POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE AND SEEMS TO BE A THEME WITH THIS COMPANY. I BELIEVE THEY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FURTHER.
Sincerely
Signed up for noom and didn't like it but let my multi month subscription playout. Was auto-renewed and want my money back. Haven't used product in months, would just like a refund for renewal, not the months I didn't use it.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that their offer to resolve is satisfactory. I cannot say I am 100% happy with the result until a full refund has been issued. Until then, I would like to keep this case open.

my email associated with my Noom account and email associated with my PayPal: ***

Not happy about the renewal process. I subscribe to a number of apps, and ALL of them notify you when a renewal is coming up. Not Noom. They just take your money and then fight to keep it.
I quit using it because it INSISTS that you add challenges that you have no interest in. If you don't add them, then you can't make progress overall. Then you have to hit annoying buttons for them saying you did them when of course you have no interest in it. In other words, you can't customize it very much at all. I am NOT eating flax seeds several times a week. I can find other sources of those nutrients. But Zoom doesn't let you have much flexibility.
I thought the coaching was going to have more direct interaction, and while it's not horrible, it's really not what I expected for the cost.

Noom issued a refund.
I did not finish the sign up app and never agreed to Nooms conditions. I was charged $3.99 and then$99.00. I did not put the app on my phone because I did not sign up for this. Impossible to get to a live person.

Buyer Beware!!! If you subscribe it is an automatic renewal that comes out of your account months later ( for me 8 months) with no prior notice and a "no refund policy" available. For me it was a $159 mistake. Please beware. I really was deceived and hopefully this review will help someone else.

I signed up for a trial, did not use any services. The charges and billing is very unclear and speaking to someone from Noom is impossible. I have emailed numerous times and I get the same automated email. I keep getting billed $100 every two months, and I have NEVER used their service. I'm out over $300 at this point. When they bill they do not send anything to let you know that it will or has happened. I feel like this company is very sneaky and rip you off with that trial that they offer for $19 month.

They will automatically charge your account for a six month period without notice when you sign up or after your trial and it appears their refund policy is tight due to this being an ongoing “occurrence”. Similar complaints pop up on their ***, and they attempt to hide them by making the comments private. It’s a bit of a scam for a program that is similar to ***; where at least *** doesn’t charge for the same service: log meals, health articles, recipes- only difference is that you just talk to another member on the app (your “coach”) primarily for positive support.

Garbage. They scam you into a subscription and try to make you make 4 payments even when you don't use thier service. I was charged $159 today and had to jump through hoops to try and tuurn off the automatic renewal. Now I have to wait several weeks for a paypal dispute to get MY HARD EARNED money back. VERY UNETHICAL.

This Company refused to process an immediate 5minute later refund after It was realized the trial was a scam to get billing information. None of the company product or website was ever utilized and after contacting PayPal and receiving a refund they managed to take my money again! They offer no phone to contact them and their app caused a virus on my device when I accessed. TWICE! I believe this to be intentional when a customer wishes a refund during the trial period. This happened to me 2 times in 3 days. I have the emails showing I did not take part in their program.

I purchased a 6 month subscription with Noom. The app was not helpful as it was more AI than people working with you. No where that was obvious mentioned that this meant it was an automatic subscription. I looked for days and guess who charged me for another 6 months worth of a program that I longed abandoned? I can not find anyone to speak to and I want my refund back.
