Noom is a great program. I think it’s value is the education it gives you. It is not an easy 5 min lesson though. It takes a bit of time over many weeks to build awareness of the choices and habit patterns that affect our weight and other aspects of our lives. For some of us that will be enough to help us get going in a healthier direction. But you do need to buy in and do the work. It takes some time and commitment, like all worthwhile things do. I dropped some pounds and feel much better after almost 2 months. But the real value has been in confronting and identifying the issues that got me to where I was. If I understood those issues earlier, I would not have been in a position to even need to think about Noom. I believe that if you need to loose some weight, Noom might be a really good tool to try. But don’t expect results unless you are willing to commit. If you commit, I am pretty sure you will see results. There is science behind their ways, and they explain in a way that I can accept and understand, so there is no mystery to this. I feel like if I really want to keep the weight off after this, I will know how to do it. That feels empowering.

This is a great program. I stopped being successful in pursuit of a healthy weight with other programs, Noom was in the right place, at the right time. I love this program. Great support, great tips. I have lost 10 pounds in 4 weeks and feel great.

At my highest I was 295.. on my own I got down to around 270..It took me around 4 months.. I started using Noom and I was really surprised how fun and dynamic it was. Their articles are witty. I love having a goal specialist and a coach. I'm down to between 254 and 258 when I weigh myself in the morning and I've been using it a little over 1 month.

Noom has some positives and negatives. I like the daily activities, but sometimes it seems like there are too many activities. I like the group discussion more than the 1:1 with the individual coach because she seems to be totally dialing it in with me. The daily weights are interesting, but it's a little obsessive and if you're already anxious it's not helping. I like having calorie limits, but the app is severe in its limits, to the point that I exercise just to ensure I can get a higher calorie limit and enough protein. There also should be a tutorial on how to use the app, because it took me a while to understand that I could add exercise at all. I will stick with it and see how it goes for now.

I love everything about it. Lost one star because I find the group communication challenging to navigate and can’t always find important and supportive replies to questions and posts.

I have found the daily articles to be helpful-some new information for me and also ways to stay on track with a new way of eating/relationship to food/life. The food logging is a bit challenging for me, but I'm trying to stick with it both as a discipline and also to keep my intake under watch. I would like more individual attention from my coach and not just reiterating back what I've said. I'm not sure the group is that helpful but I'm trying to participate.

Noom concept works but the app is flawed. No coach or group chat. If the coach answers it is just robot questions and answers. Most of the time no response at all. Just taking people's money. Someone needs to investigate this company because they are stealing a lot of money.

I was charged before the end of the trial period. When I cancelled there is an option saying "I thought the subscription was monthly but you charged me upfront" so they acknowledge that they are lying to customers and saying its $20 per month, but then charging them the full amount for 4 months - a year. I requested a refund as I was charged within my trial period and their excuse was that they can't refund after payment has been made?? Why would I request a refund before payment is made?? They said they can only refund within the 14 day trial period - I'm still within the trial period because you charged me early. Radio silence. Scammers.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely

I LOVE this app! This is the first and only weight loss tool that has worked for me and made sense. I like the fact that you have a personal coach who helps and offers advice. I also like having a group coach and group that I can see other people going through the same struggles and successes that I have and being able to give and receive support. The articles are quick and easy to read and digest. I enjoy the writing and humor! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to make a positive life change to become a healthier person. My only request would have been to have a help guide or "how to" on using the app early on, other than that, I'm totally satisfied! I'm in my 7th week already and feel great!

Noom is great! I love the one on one coaching and the group support. The program is designed to teach you about your relationship with food and ways to change it. It also teaches you about biological and environmental factors that affect eating and your weight. If you really want to change your relationship with food and weight loss this is a great way to do it. I have lost 12 lbs in 6 weeks. It works!

I love the facts presented with humor.
Just the right amount of info daily so not overwhelming.
Coach being available for questions or checking in e.g I was hospitalized for several days and she was able to reset me to where I left off. Big help!
I like that I can track my blood sugar and BP in one place.
I do not like group and rarely use. Also major difference between my Fit Bit steps and Noom's tracker. My sense is steps are somewhere in between the two.
Overall I use the app daily and enjoy it.

I am really benefiting from the 360 degree approach to weight loss. The mental portion is so important, and the daily articles, group, and coaches are so helpful. It is a really good value.

I love the app. Been following the system for 5 weeks and have lost about 10lb. It keeps me motivated.

So far so good. I've been using the program for a little over a month and I'm down 10 lbs. I love the way that it addresses our relationship and approach to food all while encouraging healthy choices but not eliminating any food choices or food groups. The online support through the group messaging and coaches is really helpful. No pressure. Just use what you can and work at your own pace. It feels like a truly sustainable approach to weight loss and maintenance. I'm so thankful for Noom!!

I adore NOOM — mostly. I have a few suggestions concerning logging food:
1. When creating a dish, allow serving size to be visible on index screen.
2. Add an edit feature — or fact check — the entries (errors abound)!
3. For fun, check Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn. It’s a red food if you type in the name, but yellow when scanning the bar code...
One more note: the volume of #acronyms can be annoying. I’m good when they are used within the same week, but I lose track after that...
Overall, I am loving NOOM! I am having great success, and find it easy to use. The behavioral/psychological component is a game changer for me. It can be a time investment, but the results are definitely worth the effort!

It is a very good app with lots of helpful tips. I like the groups and goal coach but the app is very pricey for what you get. I only belong because I was offered 80% off and that price I was willing to pay per month. Definitely, a good program for people who are in rural areas and don't have access to weight groups that provide the same services. Has really helped my health a great deal.

As I have spent most of my 67 years battling my weight, I was skeptical about whether NOOM would work. I am pleased to report that, so far, it has provided exactly what was promised. Have steadily lost weight over the last six weeks and have become more in tune with my relationship with food. I like the psychology approach to acquiring new information. The daily tracking of my food intake keeps me focused and reading messages from my group mates helps me realize others struggle the same as me.
The one change I might suggest is to tracking steps taken. NOOM's step counter is tied to carrying a smart phone to automatically count daily steps. I do not carry my phone while walking, but do carry a pedometer. I would like to enter my step count at the end of the day.

Noom is for your body and your mind It helps you to realise how to be healthy in your own individual way. This is the longest I have lasted with any other health/weight loss program I have tried ??????

Background: Noom is an app that helps users lose weight by not just encouraging exercise and tracking, but by also cutting the thought process down further to have the user think critically about their choices. While peeling back the onion (so to speak), Noom helps guide the user to develop healthy new habits to replace their current ones.
Pros: It is a very thorough app with a group and individual coach to help users along their journey. The bad habits and good habits are broken down slowly with a lot of evidence and support to ensure users understand the why of what they have been doing wrong, and why it's possible to fix it. The group is very supportive, but is not a unique set up with social media being so widely available. It also has nothing to do with Noom, as it's the individual users, however it is still a pro.
Cons: It requires a lot of dedication to the app, which should be totally understandable, due to the amount of dedication required to lose weight and bad habits. It also only has a mobile app and so finding articles that showed up weeks ago (and we not bookmarked by you) can be nearly impossible to find. The app/service is a paid app, and for what you're getting out of it, it's a bit overpriced. They have very little overhead and are making A LOT off each user. As a business, it's a great set up, for a user, it's not a great investment.
The not quite a "con", but definitely not a "pro": My individual coach seemed almost computer generated. Their responses are really positive but they seem to stick to a very specific script and it was not necessarily encouraging at times, but more annoying. My questions are spit back to me in a form of another question. Responses are very limited, and over a month of "chatting" with the coach, I have received very little valuable information.
Overall: I will not be repurchasing the 4 month plan when my time ends. I was looking for more personalized "coaching" to help keep me honest. I feel like I could have downloaded any app that spit out "helpful tips and tricks" or motivational sayings. There is a promise of daily feedback on eating and exercising when signing up, however there is no follow through. Spend the extra money and get a trainer to help guide you through the nutrition and exercise needed to become a healthier person.

I would not recommend this app . It’s not easy to use and it’s too expensive. Free apps and *** are far more effective at considerably less money. The service and information is the same old stuff nothing new or innovative only a new way to bilk people out of there hard earned money. Not to mention the scam that is a 14 day free trial and if you miss the deadline by a bit your charged a non refundable fee of $140. The customer service stinks as there is no way to speak to a live person by phone.
