inconvenience caused to our customer.  We have researched the claims filed for Mrs.
[redacted] and our records indicate that two out of the three claims were denied
by the manufacturer as not being defective due to a defect in [redacted]ship.  It is up to the manufacturer to make this decision,
thus determining the outcome of the claim. 
Without their approval, we are unable to offer any further
reimbursement.  We are also unable to
extend the warranty, as that is set by the manufacturer as well, and there is
no way to adjust the time left in the warranty.

inconvenience this may have caused and if we can further assist you please let
us know.

We have been unable to locate Ms. [redacted]’s battery receipt at this time. We will search for the battery receipt, but would like to verify additional information. Please advise the exact store location (store # on bank statement did not help locate correct store) and the name/phone # the battery was bought under. [redacted].  Each part has a different life time expectancy based upon the potential mileage it will function. In the case of a starter we would expect it to last a number of years longer than two. If Mr. [redacted] can provide an original receipt and if repurchased a new receipt then we would be happy to assist with a refund upon review of the receipts. We will also make sure to work with the store location visited to correct this issue going forward. I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The Business contacted me via email requesting the information. I have ALREADY sent it to them. I have the email verification of this. UNFORTUNATELY, the company rep hasn't gotten back to me after I clarified I was sending it to HIM directly. I sent it to the address in Roanoke as requested. Regrettably, it will NOT have the information THIS request--which came 2-3 days AFTER I sent the receipts--wants (namely the Revdex.com complaint number). As a result, I'm not able to do as they wish. Below is the email I received from the company DIRECTLY. It is to that person and address I sent it: [redacted] Jan 10, 9:32 AM EST Mr. [redacted],You were corresponding with us via the Revdex.com's website and we would like to continue assisting you. Please attach the original receipt of purchase from Advance Auto Parts and the new receipt from [redacted]. regards to the complaint that Mr. [redacted] has filed we would like to respond
further.
As
a gesture of good will and as a one-time courtesy, we would like to refund the
remainder of online order [redacted] in the amount of $71.74.  We will be processing this refund today,
11/12/15, and he can be expecting that amount back to his purchasing [redacted] card
in 1-5 business days.

I am not satisfied with the resolution. It was a good faith that I would come back in a few hours after the transaction to pick up the out of stock filter. I was not able and thought that I would be able to come after the weekend since I shop at that store all the time. It was unacceptable that they would not recognize me or even try to help me. they just totally ignored me and gave me an attitude as if I am looking to try to steal an extra oil filter. and plus the unprofessionalism they acted towards me. Saying I should keep my receipt next time. Who are they to try to tell me what I should do with my receipts this and that? that is why I always order for online pickup so everything is tracked. .I am seeking a full refund of my purchase order.

Mr. [redacted].  We reviewed the online order and the Mr. [redacted]’s Speed Perk account and see he should have received a coupon as well. We issued a $20 off $50 or more Speed Perk coupon and two $5 off $20 or more coupons as well. We do have a Speed Perks Team that can be reached at [redacted] to quickly correct any issues that take place. I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.the fact that my daughter had 2 defective alternators remains.  Yes they replaced the parts, (as they should have), but now she has paid to have the alternator replaced a total of 3 times.  As I stated previously her car has been towed to different shops as she moved.  The previous shops are not going to take the time to file the claim for the labor reimbursement..  This is extremely poor business to stick the unlucky car owner with the expense of replacing alternators that were confirmed to be defective!  I understand every business has policies, but every circumstance merits applying logic to do what is right when you have sold a bad product.

My vehicle was only on the premises starting Monday morning 9/11/2017. I know this date perfectly because I was supposed to start a new position on this day. Please be advised that we do test the batteries with our own equipment and use those readings, but they should be able to answer questions regarding the process. We see the previous online order # [redacted] and would like to refund the [redacted] account used there in order to allow the new purchase to maintain its warranty. Please respond if this would be an acceptable refund method and if not then confirm the address provided is valid to receive a check. The refund amount would be $121.43 from the order. We are willing to refund the $174.94 instead, but if done the new battery would continue from the old warranty which would end 7/26/2018. Starr. We do show where these purchases were made at store location #[redacted] and that they were eligible for warranty. We also show a transaction error that may have caused the rebates system to have an issue but a phone call should’ve corrected this and we will be reviewing what took place to correct this issue going forward. Please provide a valid mailing address and we will issue the rebate gift card back for $20 ($10 for each wiper set purchased) and we will also issue an additional $10 the inconvenience Mr. [redacted] had for a total of $30.
