Since November my mother made monthly payments to an account in a timely manner in the amount of $9, The original credit limit was set at $2,300, but of course, after fees, charges and interest, her debt started at $2, In the eleven years that my mother has been repaying this debt, a minuscule amount of each payment was applied to the principal, and more that 85% of each loan payment was consumed as interest and fees I wrote to inform Springleaf that my mother had fallen on hard times and was not able to make any further payments to this account My mother is an year old widow whose memory has deteriorated to the extent that she can no longer support herself or live on her own She doesn't even remember the circumstances surrounding this loan Springleaf threatened her with sending this debt onto a collection agency I don't know what laws exist that say this is okay when it's simply loansharking made legal

They were totally honest with me They paid off my credit card debt with very high interest rates with a loan that has a lower interest rate and will be paid off much sooner I am satisfied with them

They prey on the elderlyif you want to make automated payments they attempt to take the funds from your account days before your due dateTheir reason they said is: "To ensure the funds are available"If you don't get paid until a certain date, and the funds are not there at the time they try to pull the funds, you bank account will be charged an overdraft feeIf you have a specified due date with the One Main to make your payment, but you don't get paid until after your due dateThey start harassing phone callsThey lose payments

Around a month ago my car got hit at a parking lot and the person didn't even bother to leave a note to make arrangements w insuranceI called insurance and obviously had to pay deductibleI was so upset about it since I'm a teacher and don't work in the summer and my budget was already settle for the two months and this happenedI completely forgot about this insurance I have with One Main Loan and it wasn't until I was submitting documents to car insurance that I found out that I can get refundWhat a relieveThe procedure was very easy and documents that requieres are on your hands right awayIt took close to four weeks for my claim be evaluated and approveAll I have to say is that I'm glad that I made this loan thorught One MainNo haste, no ridiculous documents required and fat and easy to b approved
