I was approved for a secure loan with this company with the condition that my wife remove get name from the title of our car, or add her name to the loanWe explained that my wife's income is not verifiable because she is newly self employedThey said those were or only options for getting the loan so we added my wife to the applicationWhen they sent the application back to their verification department it was changed to denied because according to them MY WIFE'S INOME COULD NOT BE VERIFIED!!?!!
We were then told if we get her named removed from the car title we could get the loanSooooooo, we paid for my wife's name to be removed from the title only to be told that I didn't qualify for the loan based on my income EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE EXACT SAME INCOME AS IT WAS WHEN THEY FIRST APPROVED METhe company wouldn't even reimburse us the cost of having her name removed from the car title SHADY, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ONE MAIN FINANCIAL!!!!!

I have been a customer since I hit a tough spot shortly after renewing my note this JuneMedical bills, in addition to my car completely dying beyond repair forcing me to purchase another oneI wasn't planning on any of that and then my washing machine flooded my home, and remember I had health issues crop up that had to be taken care of and that care is ongoingIn addition to this, the anniversary of my husband going missing and being found dead is approaching and thus I am struggling emotionally and mentally
In July when the person called about my payment I tried to explain what happened and she threatened me with courtI was able to get a small loan to cover July but refuse to try to borrow anymore money to pay for AugustMy job gives me a yearly bonus which is due in the fallAs soon as I get it, I'll get caught up
In the meantime, I cannot handle being threatened with courtI am a survivor of *** and that woman's threats were very effective in sending me further into despairI made a small payment earlier this month and will make another as soon as I get paid
I owe you a lot of money and have never disputed my debt, however the hateful way I was treated and the threat of court are something I cannot handleAnd truthfully, that should never be allowed to treat a customer in such a manner
I may be behind right now, but I will catch up, unless I die, and I've insurance to cover that and your employee in Clovis treated me such that she wouldn't mind if I were dead as long as the debt was paid
Once I get this paid off, I'll never borrow from this company again and I will strongly discourage anyone I know seeking a loan to not go to One Main or any of its affiliates

One Main Financial is a very unprofessional businessMy recent experience was not what I expected and I hope no one else makes this mistakeI received a pre-approval notice in the mail stating I was approved for $5,Pre-approval means to me that a company has completed a "soft" inquiry of your credit report and decided to offer a loanI was told that those pre-approval notices are mailed out to everyone to get people to applyThat is not marketing that is a SCAM!!!!!! So of course I applied and after dealing with a loan rep that failed to explain the next steps or even ask to run my credit, I was deniedNo reason was given and I wasn't even offered another option for a lower loan amountI believe this company gets incentives just to run people's creditPeople please do your homework on this company before falling for their scams!!!!
