I got sent a mailing from this company saying that I could get a loan for k sounded great at the time being that I was in deep with another company with a high monthly payment so I called the number talked with a very nice lady not her fault at all really she told me the hypes of the loans and then I learned that in fact it was advertisement that 4k loan that the flyer said I could get approved for turned out to be 1,$ with my car as collateral of course It really sounded promising well she said it would be approved she just could see why it wouldn`t the score was good and the thing that could have been in the way was old and they help people all the time with scores mine was over for sure and being that I have been good with another loan company since with good marks never late never missed I was set well I was really excited thinking for once I was going to get a better rate with another company ! Well should have known better should have checked the Revdex.com first now reading all the reviews I see dishonesty is this company's golden rule I really don`t want to do business with a dishonest company I would really like it if they would remove there hard hit from my credit now and stop sending me flyers cause I will not be doing business with them they lost a chance to have a good honest customer I will stay will my high loan company I am current with because they have never been dishonest with me not once and yeah I might be paying more on my loan with that company but honesty is everything

I think they are scammers adding things on your loan without telling you the cost then when you ask them to take it off they tell you they can't until the loan is paid and then they will give you a refund......word of advise DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY

I had no problem with the way my loan request was approvedI took an amount smaller than what they actually offered meThen I keep getting mailings encouraging me to apply for moreBut when I do I get declinedVery annoying to get promotions and then get declined and I've never asked for more than I was offered when I applied for the original loan which I have paid as agree every month

I see a lot of negative comments and I don't know if it is the location, personnel, misinformation or what I went in with my eyes open to what this loan might entail They worked out numbers and told me what they could do to help There was constant contact back and forth keeping me updatedThink it took about 3-days to get everything completed The final day when I went in to sign paperwork was the first time I met the woman I had been dealing with On the phone she was extremely pleasant and polite and it was no different in person

You will not gain from taking out a loan from this placeThe interested rates are extremely highAnd the money for paying back this loan could've been a certified used car or the cost of graduate school tuitionYou do better by trying to attempt to settle the debt than to take a loan from this agency

I have been working on building my credit back upI thought I would try and get a loan through One MainI admit that it was on a whim that I stopped in to a local office while waiting to give someone a rideHad I done my homework, I wouldn't have never stepped foot in the officeMy boyfriend and I have been looking for a second vehicleI have the higher income but he has the better credit scoreI applied for the loan on my own and was told that everything looked good except that they would need what was referred to as "hard collateral"In other words, depending on what my current vehicle (which is financed) was worth, they would consider paying it off, using it as collateral and adding it to the loanWe opted to add boyfriend to the application and they were pleased to announce that the need for "hard collateral" had been removedGreat!!! We were happily informed by not only the rep that I started out with, but by the manager or owner of that specific location, that everything looked good and all we needed was the proof of income, tax return, W-2's etcNo problemOnce they received that information, they would submit it to underwriting and we would be given a number to work withThe very worst thing that could happen at that point was to find out that it wasn't a number we could work with, i.e; if the loan they would offer wouldn't be big enough to be able to get a newer vehicle with a warranty so I didn't end up with a piece of junkIf the number was too low, all I had to do was simply say no thank you we would be no worse off than we startedAgain, be reminded, we were cheerfully informed that things looked greatFast forward to the next dayFaxed over all of the income verification and off it went to underwritingI didn't hear anything towards the end of the work day, I calledThe rep I had spoken with was unavailableThe person who answered the phone looked up my info and informed me that I had been denied and wanted to know if there was anything else he could help me withI thought there had been some kind of mistake given everything we were told yesterdayI politely thanked him for the info and hung upPlease understand, being denied during the credit building process isn't a shock at allIt's the lip service we had received the day before...."everything looks greatNo problemJust get us the income verification and we're goodOnly have to wait for a number"We were told by different peopleNot once were we told that the application could still be deniedNot even so much as a heads upSo again, it's not the denialIts not having someone be forthright enough to say "Hey, although it looks fine at the moment, there's still a chance this could be denied." At least we would have been preparedWe were even told to go check out a few cars and get the price and VIN numbers on them to send to underwriting so we could start working with some figuresThat, in no way, is stating that we could still be denied
I know this story is not nearly as tragic as some of the horrible experiences with this company that I have read hereAnd I am truly sorry for what my fellow consumers have experienced as a result of working with One MainI am just thankful that I have dodged a bullet here
I went as far as calling back and actually speaking with the rep I originally placed my application withNow mind you, apparently it's legal to just ask "can I run your credit" and not have to sign anythingI didn't know that but I'm just letting you know that's what was doneI did say it was okay, but didn't realize I didn't have to sign anythingJust an FYIWhen she got on the phone, she said "I understand my coworker let you know the results of your applicationDid you have any further questions?" I guess I don't really know what else she was supposed to sayI was so upset about her and the owner/slash manager not being forthright with us that I actually just said no thank you and hung up
I'm sure any financial institution would just say that I'm just upset because we were deniedWell, no one wants to hear that of courseI'm upset because after being told it all looked good, we were never informed that we could still be deniedIt was like withholding the truth and allowing us to get our hopes up
After doing a lot more research today, I'm glad it turned out the way it didDo you research on this company!!!!!!
