Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Dear [redacted] : Please correct my name to [redacted] not [redacted] ***I have reviewed the response from Optima and I am very disappointed with the dishonest remarks they have made to cover up their incompetenceAs recent as August the 14th Optima Tax sent us a letter requesting that we forfeit our rights to remedy from their damage to usThey wanted us to keep our mouths quiet and not say a word about their workI will attach a copy of their horrible letter to you shortly but Optima had ample time to address our state and local taxWe have documentation not conversation that will demonstrate what they told us when we signed on with themThey have been dishonest and misrepresented the truth numerous times in their letter to youFor example, Optima report that the state was involved in prior to our contracting OptimaWe were not being garnished at the time we contracted with OptimaWe contacted Optima in and nothing is further from the truth that there was a threat of garnishmentThe state should have been contacted by Optima in early January of this year as they had our Power of AttorneyWe sent Optima letter after letter urging them to contact the stateThey failed to do anythingOptima did not contact the state on our behalf and allowed time to runI urged [redacted] of Optima and [redacted] numerous times that they should contact the state to get a discussion goingOptima failed to do that and that is why the state more than six months later having not heard form our representative (Optima) initiated action to garnish my wages The primary reason we sought our Optima is due to the fact that we were told by their sales person [redacted] and their national spokesperson who is on TV every day saying that that they will help the customer avoid garnishmentThey failed Optima says that we failed to provide completed documents to them in a timely mannerAgain Optima is not being truthfulWe sent every document Optima requested on timeOptima lost our documents several times and came back to us repeatedly requesting the same documents over and over againFor example, we filed our paperwork for the filing in plenty of time for Optima to file our taxes on timeWithout telling us, Optima was late in filing the document, filed for an extension without informing us that they had Then, only after we insisted on asking where the documents were they finally sent them to us for signature well after the tax deadlineThe documents were sitting on a staff persons desk for who knows how longThere is no basis for them to ever report that we were late nor is there evidence to support their claim that we wereIf Optima had done anything at all on our behalf we would not have been garnishedThey failed to contact the state on our behalfI requested as recent as last week an accounting of all work done on our behalf with the state and a record of contact they have made with the state since we signed on with them last yearWe have not received any documentation that would let us know they did anything on our behalfWe asked for evidence to support their work for usWe have received nothing and have paid a ton of money for a tax return filing that was delinquent We submitted all information requested on time and in orderWe never heard from Optima about what the status was on our behalf They changed our representatives twice with not progress or communication that they were doing so[redacted] of Optima told us as recent as weeks ago that Optima would work to negotiate a reduction in the garnishment from 100%v to 50%Now he is telling us they cannot do anything for us? We went with Optima with hopes of having them present an Offer In Compromise to the IRS for hardship reasonsOptima said they would explore all options and yet we have had no conversations about thisRather, Optima never considered a hardship while they have all of our financial information that will demonstrate we will not be able to pay this off in my lifetimeI will be able to work perhaps another months and hope my health affords that They called us to discuss a payment plan to the IRSWith what funds? Optima is dishonest in their representation of facts and truthThey have not resolved our case and to date we know of nothing that has been done on our behalf

SUMMARY - Optima Tax's management has been in contact with the client prior to receiving the complaint and had a resolution in place. RESPONSE - Optima Tax’s management has been in communication with the client to address his concerns as outlined in the complaint. As the client stated... in his complaint, he hired Optima Tax for representation to address an outstanding tax liability. As part of our approach, Optima Tax will conduct a thorough investigation of the client’s case based on the information that we obtain from the IRS. Thereafter, Optima Tax analyzed the available options that we could present to the client to solve his liability. Optima Tax then presented the client with our formulated strategy for resolving his case during our Resolution phase. The client decided to move forward with our Resolution phase and paid the initial down payment but ceased making any payments thereafter. Optima Tax made repeated attempts to reschedule the agreed upon drafts, but the client proved to be nonresponsive to any of our attempts at contact. At that point, because the client failed to make any response to our attempts at contacting him, Optima Tax ceased performing any services until communication could be reestablished. In addition, since making the initial down payment the client’s assigned tax preparation team made repeated attempts to establish communication with the client in order to progress with preparing his tax returns, but the client remained nonresponsive. During that time, at no point did the client inform Optima Tax that he will have a 3rd party agency prepare his tax returns. Shortly after communication was finally established, the client requested to cancel our services and inquired about a refund on or about July 29, 2016. From that point on, multiple representatives attempted to establish communication to address his requests. During this time period, communication with the client proved to be difficult to coordinate but we were able to come to a mutually acceptable resolve. Unfortunately, thereafter the client filed this complaint and has failed to comply with our original agreement. I wish I could do a TV spot for Optima Tax ReliefNot only was I several years behind, it took almost two years to get all my information to OptimaOver that period of time not only did they let me pay as I was able, they never put any deadline or pressure on me at any timeThe most important thing of all was they keep the I.R.Soff my back!!! Contrary to the client’s belief, on February 19, the client’s Tax Associate presented the end result of our Investigation and our strategy to help resolve the client’s outstanding liabilityTo ensure that this call took place, we reviewed the call that took place on the 19th of February and we can confirm with the utmost certainty that the client had been presented with a full summary of our findings and with the end result of our InvestigationAdditionally, during that call the client had informed his Tax Associate that he completely understood the end result of our Investigation and went as far as asking for the Resolution Addendum which outlines our resolution services proposed for the client

I paid over $to Optima Tax Relief, well over two years ago, and still they cant cant tell me how much I owe,and when they will be finished with my caseI've had four different case managersWhen I called to speak with my current manager she would never call me back, after being told she would call me back within hrsI had to call the IRS myself to obtain tax information for them ( Optima Tax )...Also while speaking with a friendly IRS agent, she told me she sees it all the time from Optima, in fact the IRS had requested info from them, and still hadn't received it for mosand gave them a certain deadline....We are supposed to believe we are valued clients, instead I do not feel at ease at allVery unorganized ....And very concerned

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThey never address any of my questions or concerns head on or state the facts completely wrong I was not raising an issue with them over the tax lien, The tax lien had already been present for months Yes, Optima did submit a request to the IRS to remove the lien It's the response from the IRS that revealed what was going on at OptimaThe IRS denied the request to remove the lien The reason they gave was that I didn't have an installment agreement in place to pay off my tax debt with them I had been accepted on an installment agreement payment of $per month back in FebI made the payments every month and I still continue to make the $payment I took it upon myself to investigate with the IRS why they were saying I didn't have an agreement in place I never received any kind of notification that is was being cancelled or even that there was an issue The IRS employee that I spoke with said that given Optima has my Power of Attorney any notices would go to them Optima says they never received anything The IRS employee told me that it looks like the installment agreement was cancelled because I didn't file a federal tax return for One of the specific items I hired Optima to do for me was to file my returnBut they failed to do soThe basis of my complaint with Optima and the complaint I filed with you (Revdex.com) is that Optima caused my Installment Agreement with a $per month payment to be cancelled because of their failure to file my tax returnThe IRS will establish another Installment Agreement for me with a payment of approximately $per month This is the main point that I can't get Optima understand their culpability, their responsibility for, their blatant mistake that triggered the IRS cancelling my existing $per month payment The result of Optima not filing my tax return in time, is that the IRS has increased my requirement monthly payment by $more than I was paying I did nothing wrongWhy should I have to pay this higher monthly payment because of Optima's mistakeOptima's response to you completely twisted the facts They are saying that the increased tax balance from caused my installment agreement to be cancelled The IRS told me quite specifically over the phone that it was cancelled because they don't have a return on file from me How would the IRS know that I was going to owe money on my taxes if my return hadn't even been filed yet? Additionally, Optima never consulted with me or advised me about the possible issues with having a balance due for the tax yearThe statements they are making about this situation are blatantly false I continuously ask them to provide me with the written documentation of their correspondence with the IRS about my case, but they refuse to do thatPlease this is wrong wrong wrong, I don't want to let them get away with this Please re-open my claim or what ever you have to do This issue and the phone conversations I was having with their designated rep back during the Feb/March time frame, caused me major medical issues from the stress they were causing meI had to be off work for a couple weeks and my doctor did not want me to have contact with Optima about this until my blood pressure was back to an acceptable range Regards, [redacted]
