SUMMARY - Optima Tax's management had been in contact with the client prior to receiving the complaint and we have come to a mutual resolve RESPONSE - Optima Tax’s management had already presented the client with a reasonable resolution prior to receiving the complaintAs the client stated in his complaint, Optima’s services are separated into a two phase approach, Investigation and ResolutionAs outlined in our Client Services Agreement, the client engaged Optima to perform an investigation of his tax liabilityAfter we completed a thorough investigation, we presented him with our findings and the proposed services that we could provide in our second phase, the resolution phaseThose services in no way indicated a guaranteed reduction in his liabilityOptima makes it a top priority to ensure that reasonable expectations are set with all of our clients and inform the client that we do not make any promises or guarantees in regards to a specific outcomeThe balance in question remained the same from the time the client initially contacted Optima TaxFurthermore, as explained to the client, interest and penalties will continue to accrue until the balance is paid in full When our Closing Department reached out to the client on January 22, we had informed him that Optima successfully resolved his case and we went over the services providedThe completed services were inline with the Resolution Addendum Agreement executed on February 5, The Resolution Addendum Agreement clearly and definitively explains all services to be rendered by OptimaAdditionally, we explained to the client that if the client had certain documentation he could provide to Optima to submit to the IRS this would strengthen his case and he could have received a substantial reductionHowever, because the client was unable to locate this documentation we had no choice but to accept what the IRS was reporting It’s regrettable that the client is not satisfied with the end result of his case Although we strategize to reduce our client’s liability, ultimately the IRS has the final sayUltimately, Optima Tax has fully represented the client as promised in the agreement the client entered into with OptimaAfter all work was completed on behalf of the client he was presented with an option that he accepted to his satisfactionThe resolution obtained by Optima on behalf of the client will prevent the IRS from taking any enforcement action against the client At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophyWe take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possibleOptima Tax believes it has addressed the client's concerns appropriately and considers the matter closedPlease do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questions Thank you

I would recommend Optima Tax relief to anyone in need of assistance with the IRS They are extremely professional, hard working , and easy to get ahold of I have tried numerous other companies with my tax issues and all have failed me From start to finish Optima did exactly what they said they were going to do in a timely manner Once again I am thoroughly impressed with everyone I worked with at Optima they get a, A+ from me

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below In short, I was completely misled by Optima Tax Relief to believe they were capable of handling my tax situation which they later admitted was not trueWhen I contacted Optima Tax Relief I explained my current situation as well as how I got thereI told them that while I was still operating as a business, my computers were repossessed and, as such, I was not able to produce records of payments, employees, and other documents normally required to file taxesThey told me that was common and they specialized in situations like mineI had an active wage garnishment at the time and they assured me they could terminate it as soon as they were “Officially” representing meNeither of these statements were trueAs such I paid them over $12,while I continued to pay the garnishment making it impossible for me to pay my billsI had to borrow the money from my parents to pay themThey kept telling me they were “working on my case” and to be patient while they continued to accept nearly $per month with no improvement in my caseThey claim that I was unresponsive but at every turn, they called at times other than the ones we had scheduled or they could not provide me an answer to why the garnishment continuedThey lied and manipulated meThe garnishment finally stopped when I was terminated from my employer but they continued to take their monthly payment of nearly $while my only income was $per week from unemploymentStill they did not finish my caseEventually, my parents credit card expired and they were no longer able to take their payment and they finally wanted to speak with me about resolutionThey have never given the impression that they cared about me or my tax issuesTheir motivation was purely financialAlas, they did wish to discuss my situation but it was only because I wouldn’t pay them any more money until I saw progressAt this time they finally admitted that without the documents I told them I could not produce they could not help meThey went from passive and elusive to combative and aggressiveUnfortunately, I could have used the time and money from this debacle to pay down the IRS on my ownFrom the outset, I told them did not have the documents to file my taxes and that if I did have them I would not need the services of Optima Tax ReliefThey emphatically assured me that they are “the professionals” and they have “experience with cases like mine” and that they would provide the best outcomeAgain, those statements are patently falseThey did nothing to earn the money I paid them and I am no closer to resolution than when I startedI assure you I received no “relief” from Optima Tax Relief I am seeking a full refund of the money I paid for services I was promised yet did not receive Regards, [redacted]

Contacting Optima Tax Relief was one of the smartest moves I've made in my fifty five years on this planetI had not filed taxes in six years due to my alcoholism , and had been sober for the last three yearsI had repaired my business and personal life and the only issue left was to fix all my tax issues, of which I was dreading and avoidingI took the final step after hearing about Optima on the radioFrom my first initial consoltation through the entire process , Optima kept me informed weekly, mentally helped me with kindness and facts of what they were doingThey got me a tax number due and worked my case through to the endI slept well every night instead of stressing all night

I had a back tax debt from my husband’s life insurance of $30,with penalties and interest Optima Tax did everything that they said they would do The filled my back tax returns, communicated with the IRS on my behalf My debt was settled with the IRS for $That is it $150!!! This was a very stressful situation for me, dealing with the death of my husband, and then getting notice from the IRS that I owed them over $30,and they had put a lien on my home Optima Tax sorted through pages and pages of documents to get to the bottom lineI NEVER could have done this on my own I would have lost my house that my husband and I made a home and I will forever be grateful

I wish I had had the foresight to check the Revdex.com reviews and complaints for this company before I contacted them I have the same problem that most of the complaints are about: not realizing up front that it was going to cost me THOUSANDS of dollars I barely had the money to pay the initial $- which I had to break up into payments I was drawing unemployment at the time, so funds were extremely tight, but I somehow managed to pay it I will say that they did their research and got back to me within a couple months or so, but in order to go further and negotiate a resolution it was going to be another $ SERIOUSLY??? Would never have given them my money if I had been fully aware of this in the beginning Am out $1k that I could definitely have used to pay bills with Just be careful and walk into this with your eyes wide open Make sure to ask about ALL fees and guarantees up front before you fork over any money
