Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business, in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action may or may not resolve my complaint At this time, no formal offer has been made to me and only general concepts have been suggested to resolve this matter making the statement is factually inaccurateDue to my past experience with misleading statements, like the response above, I am reluctant to believe any progress will be made and this may only be a public relations charadeHowever, the latest attempts at reconciliation appear to be genuine and I anticipate further discussions that I hope remain focused on a solutionI am hopeful that this situation can be resolved amicably but at this time no substantive offer has been made for me to accept or reject Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards, [redacted]

SUMMARY - Optima Tax's management has attempted to make contact with the client but we have yet to establish communication RESPONSE - Optima Tax’s management has made multiple attempts to make contact with the client with no successAs noted in our Client Services Agreement, Optima Tax addresses each case with a two phase approachDuring the initial phase we investigate the client's liability to ensure that we have all the facts surrounding their outstanding balance and ultimately present the client with our findings and our strategy to resolve their tax mattersHere at Optima Tax we strongly believe in transparency which is why all documentation is presented to the client before services commenceTo ensure our clients have a full understanding of our approach, each client will also go through a voice recorded verification call which covers all important details of the program including the fact that each phase requires a separate feeThis information is provided to the client before each phase and it is thoroughly explained during the first, Investigation Phase, that a separate fee for the second phase is required in order to move forward with our Resolution Phase Although Optima Tax strives for the best possible outcomes for our clients, we make no specific promises or guarantees as to a specific outcomeBased off our analysis of client's file Optima Tax can still provide their representation and we are confident we can ultimately resolve the case as a wholeIt’s unfortunate that the client feels he paid for our services and received nothing in return however, due to Optima Tax's efforts the client now has the ability to utilize the information we have obtained and presented to him so he can make an educated decision on which route to pursue in an attempt to resolve his liability with the IRS At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophyWe take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possibleOptima Tax will continue to reach out to the client until we come to a final resolvePlease do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questionsThank you

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowOptima Tax states in their response on paragraph that they negotiated a favorable installment agreementThis is the installment agreement they were suppose to negotiate was to include the tax years 2010,2011,2012.2013, & The installment agreement they submitted to the IRS only included 2010, 2011, The did not submit & On their response on paragraph 2, Optima states that once they finalize a resolution for a client the IRS will no longer initiate any enforcement actionAgain, this is or better yet they did not do their job right because I have received multiple notices in which the IRS is seeking to enforce action by putting a lien on my property in I don't pay my taxes owed for & Tax years that should have been included in the resolution Furthermore, effective 2/3/the IRS will be withdrawing the installment agreement because of the taxes owed for & 2014, again tax years that should have been included in the installment agreement Optima is also stating in this same paragraph that I am not making my monthly payments as agreed and that this is the reason why I have received theses notice This is not trueIf Optima has proof that my payments have not been made as agreed then please present you evidence because unlike Optima I have copies of every single payment check that has cleared my bank paid to the IRS since my first initial payment of 9/28/ Contrary to Optima's statement of IRS practices to put a lien to protect their interest, the real reason the IRS is threatening to put a LIEN on my property us once again for taxes owed for & which were not included in the installment agreement With regards to Optima's statement in paragraph 3, I disagree All balances with a liability were not included in the payment plan Optima claims that the tax year had no outstanding balance but I cannot understand how they are making this statement First of all Optima requested from the IRS my history for the past years This history would have included my Secondly, Optima was preparing to file my tax returns when I informed them that my tax returns had already been prepared there was no need for them to do it I emailed them a copy of my tax returns and unless they are blinded, my tax returns clearly state how much I owed the IRS Even the copy of the taxes they were preparing indicated I would owe taxes for (I have copies of this as well & the emails)So for them to sit here and state there was not liability balance for the tax year clearly indicates they do not know what they are doing For these very reasons stated above I do not accept their response and I am seeking the refund amount I have indicated Optima did not provide the service they were contracted to do As I have stated, I do not have the confidence to work with Optima any longer to resolve these additional problems that have arise due to their mistakes Regards, [redacted]

To whom it may concern, Thank youThe team was very professional, knowledged and patientThey made it easy for me to understand and comply to all the work needed to be doneAlways got follow ups and never had to wait more than a day to get answers to any questions or concerns I hadThe results were better than I expected and worth every pennyI would recommend Optima to anyone with a similar situation as mineThanks Again to OTRBlessings Always!

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved I have resolved my concerns with Optima and my complaint can be closed.Thank you [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

SUMMARY - Optima Tax's management had been in contact with the client since receiving the complaint and is working towards a mutual resolve RESPONSE - Optima Tax’s management immediately reached out to the client to address the claims stated in the complaintWhen speaking with the client, he confirmed that the assigned Tax Associate never represented that Optima Tax’s Resolution services would be a specific priceIn fact, the client was informed that there would be a secondary fee for Resolution services, which such fee is determined by the complexity of the case In order to ensure that each client has a complete understanding of the services that Optima Tax will provide and that the assigned agent didn’t provide any statements or promises, each client will go through a voice recorded Verification Call prior to any services being completedThe Verification Call covers all legal disclosures, including services that Optima Tax Relief will provide during each PhaseAs noted in our Client Services Agreement, Optima Tax approaches each case in a two phase approachPhase one being our Investigation Phase and phase two being our Resolution PhaseEach disclosure in our Verification Process will require a “yes” answer before moving forwardIf the client has a misunderstanding as to the disclosure or was provided different information, then the client will be provided the correct information before moving forward with the callAfter reviewing the Verification Calls, the client completed the Verification call and did not express any concerns In conclusion, it’s unfortunate that the client feels as if they were “bamboozled”However, after reviewing the case there is no evidence showing that the client was misledThe client was fully informed that there would be a separate fee associated with engaging Resolution servicesMoreover, the Resolution fee is determined by the complexity of the client’s caseOptima Tax is hopeful to come to a mutual resolve with the client At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophyWe take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possibleOptima Tax believes it has addressed the client's concerns appropriately and considers the matter closedPlease do not hesitate to contact Optima Tax with any questionsThank you

Please be advised that I was under the impression when I hired Optima that they would take my bank statements do a profit and loss statement for each year, while communicating with me and asking the appropriate questions about my expenses and deductions Therefore, we would have a better chance of coming up with a favorably outcome for my situation However, I was stressfully, crying and struggling on my own trying to put together 2009-profit and loss statements Even informing Optima that I was not sure if I was entering the numbers in the proper boxes The situation I am dealing with now is a big mess! Incorrect tax returns, incorrect massive tax owed balances, an installment agreement that I cannot agree to because it's more than my mortgage, the lump sum down is six figures leaving me facing a possible lien! The I have paid to Optima should have went toward a CPA here in Houston, Texas!

Please be advised, the resolution that Optima Tax proposed was strictly out of courtesy for the clientOptima Tax has fulfilled their contractual obligations and resolved the client’s case per the Client Services Addendum as stated in our previous responseOptima Tax was only aware of one levy and as stated in our initial response, the assigned Tax Pro was successful in releasing most of the funds back to the client Although we thoroughly educated the client as to the process of his case, he does not want to accept the facts of the case as a wholeThe Audit Review is time consuming and requires a high level of attention to detailThe client failed to inform us that he signed off on the Audit Report prior to hiring Optima TaxThis is valuable information that Optima Tax was not aware of until we completed our Audit ReviewOnce the review had been finalized, the assigned team finalized his case and set the client up on an affordable payment plan as outlined in the Client Services AddendumRegardless of when the payment plan was implemented, the client will continue to accrue penalties and interest until the balance is paid in full It’s unfortunate that the client feels that Optima Tax takes advantage of vulnerable peopleNothing can be further from the truthThe client reached out to Optima Tax and we provided the client our formulated strategy to help resolve his case and he decided to hire us for representationHis desired resolution is unrealistic in comparison to the work performed by his assigned team and the representation Optima Tax providedPer our initial conversation with the client on April 19, the client made it clear he was under the impression that Optima Tax would reduce his debtHowever, after he was educated and proper expectations were set by the Optima Tax, the client confirmed that his dedicated Optima Tax representative did not promise, guarantee or insinuate that the client would receive a reduction

In September we found out that we were being audited by IRS because we used a shoddy tax preparer who said he could get us the maximum returnThe audit went back years and we ended up owing $37kWe were in shock! We went to local tax attorneys and they told us they couldn't help usI saw an add from Optima Tax Relief and dig some research on themLooked at customer reviews and gave them a callIt did take a long time, almost yearsThe $we paid them to work for us to get our tax down was well worth itOur first offer in compromise was denied and they went back to the IRS and another offer was made and acceptedWe couldn't be happier with the resultsThank you to all the staff for what you have done for us!!

Hello, I was duped, scammed, hoodwinked, or whatever you want to call it, by Optima Tax ReliefI contacted Optima around March of I had serious amount of taxes owed because of a failed mining/tv pilot venture that cost me $110kIt was to be an African-American show like 'Gold Rush'However, the venture got thwarted when our reburbished equipment never got us off the groundNeedless to say, I was banking on the mining venture and tv show to make me money that was never made This put me in a serious hole and I needed help, so I called OptimaThey must have been licking their chops when they got a phone call from someone in Hollywood like me, because they promptly charged me a total $7,to take on my case ($5k initially and then $2k a little later)I kept asking them, "Based on your past experiences, are you sure you will be able to help me?!" They said they can't guarantee anything, but the only way to find out is if I give them the $7k so they can get startedHowever, my case should get some kind of favorable resolution, they said Obviously, I trusted what they were telling me because this is what they do for a living, and they have advertisements that are all positive resultsKeep in mind that prior to Optima I had already at one point worked out a payment plan with the IRS on my ownSo, I didn't need them to do something I could do on my own, I needed them to do those miracles that they advertise and trick people into believing So, almost a year later and me having to fill out more paperwork than you can imagine, I'm further in the hole now than when I contacted themAnd they had the nerve to set me up with a $1,500/mosinstallment agreement with the IRS, even though I told them I could only afford $700/mosAnd the ONLY reason I agreed to do the installment was because Optima said that I must first set up an installment agreement before a settlement could be madeLittle did I know that they already knew that I did not qualify for a settlement, they actually knew that before they took on my case because it's no way that you could do this for a living and not have an idea (or percentage) of the probability of certain cases being resolvedJust based off of algorithms from company data involving other clients with similar situations like mine, I'm sure they could have told me that the probability of me getting a settlement resolution is very low or 10%-20%And in that case I would have never in a million years given them $7,just to set up an installment agreement I could have gotten for FREE on my own (like I had done before) I'm livid at how I was duped by a company that's preying on people in their time of need! Even when I asked to speak with someone in their corporate office, I was told that they don't have a number?! What?! Corporate doesn't have a number?! This is when you know you've been scammed and your face turns into a [redacted] like on the looney tunes cartoonsWell, I'm not laughing! I want my $7,back because Optima did NOTHING that I couldn't do (and had done) on my own! Revdex.com, please help me get my money back so I can give that money to the IRS who I now owe $1500/mos

SUMMARY - Optima Tax has left multiple messages but have yet to establish communication with the complaining party RESPONSE - Optima Tax’s management has made multiple attempts to make contact with the client both verbally and through email in an effort to discuss their concerns as outlined in the complaintUnfortunately the client has yet to respond to either our messages or emailsAdditionally, the client never expressed any concerns to Optima Tax directly until we received the complaint As the client stated, we do offer a free consultationThe consultation consists of gathering important information from the client regarding their tax liability and subsequently providing our potential clients an in depth breakdown of how we conduct our services and how we can potentially resolve their outstanding liabilityThereafter, if the client is in need of our representation the first order of business is to investigate the liability To confirm, our services are broken down into two phasesPhase one being the Investigation Phase and phase two being the Resolution PhaseDuring the free consultation the client is thoroughly informed that we operate in a two phase approach and that each phase requires a different set of feesThis information is conveyed to our clients verbally and provided in our written agreements sent to the client for their reviewAdditionally, for each phase we also have a voice recorded Verification Call that covers all disclosures, including fees associated with our servicesWith each specific disclosure given, our clients must acknowledge they fully understand the disclosure by saying yes before they are able to move on to the next disclosureAfter reviewing the Verification Call, the client acknowledged they understood and accepted all disclosures After Optima concluded the Investigation we analyzed all the information we obtained from both the client and the IRS to formulate a strategy to help resolve the outstanding liabilityAfter thoroughly providing this information to the client, the client has the option to enroll into our Resolution Services or utilize the information we obtained from the IRS to resolve the debt on their ownThe client ultimately signed up for our Resolution services to begin on December 23, As part of our services, we ask every client who may be eligible for a payment plan as an option what their payment affordability isAlthough we cannot disclose the amount the client informed us he can afford, we can assure you that we did not advise him that a monthly payment to the IRS will be in excess of $4,Furthermore, the information we gather, including the balance owed, comes straight from the IRS, which in turn we relay directly to the clientThis is supported by the IRS transcripts we have on file that solidify the numbers we presented to the client At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophyWe take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possibleIt’s truly unfortunate that the client feels as if we have scammed him but we’re hoping that once communication is established, a nice conversation will help clear the airOptima Tax will continue their efforts in hopes of coming to a mutual resolveThank you

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me, so long as I stop receiving sales and marketing emails from your firm As you have already had days, I will wait an additional days for your business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolvedRegards, [redacted] ***

I would like to say I was very satisfied with the resultsThere is a lot of paperwork that was needed thru out the process but the end result was well worth it

Optima Tax's management has made multiple and sincere attempts to contact the client to discuss their concerns as outlined in the complaint However, it is regrettable that after the client submitted their rebuttal to our initial response, we unfortunately have not received any further response from the client, despite our attempts to discuss a mutual resolutionWe understand that the client has made certain accusations in their rebuttal to our initial response, and although we respectfully do not agree with the claims, our priority is making sure that clients are satisfied with our service Therefore, we remain willing to discuss the client’s claims in detail in order to have a better understanding of their position and provide a mutually acceptable resolutionWe hope to hear from the client for further discussion in an effort to remedy any dissatisfaction they may have had with our service At Optima Tax we strive to uphold the philosophy that "clients come first" and all of our representatives go through rigorous training to assure we abide by that philosophyWe take all complaints very seriously, and we do our best to turn them around when possibleOptima Tax will continue its efforts in resolving this unfortunate dispute until a resolution is metHowever, we would appreciate some feedback or response from the clients in order to resolve this disputeWe are confident and hopeful that if the client responds to our attempts to contact them that we will be able to come to a mutual resolutionThank you

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Optima has not made any offer since we entered this claim The reason for that being they have not followed through on two telephone calls scheduled for discussion of the pending complaint. Our rebuttal/rejection to OTR's response is itemized in detail on the attachment of this notice Regards, [redacted]

The people there are very nice, but they don't do what they sayI needed help getting my IRS bill down and they promised they could help and said I could get the fresh start program that [redacted] has been advertisingMy payments were $a month before I called Optima after several months they call and say we have good news for you They got my payment down to $The $+ money that I paid them to help me I could have used to pay down the balance of what I owe the IRSI am so disappointed in this company and I will make sure that I get the word out there to people that they do not to what they say and it is not worth the money you have to pay them for there so called help

I had 100% confidence in my Optima team..They were professional and did as they said they would...Recommended 100% to others
