Protect America has received the rejected offer submitted by Ms [redacted] We received her day written request and processed cancellation of the account accordinglyWe reached out to her on 8/10/and were able to resolve her concernsThe email that was sent to her was a confirmation of the cancellation processWe ask that she allows Protect America to assist with any further concerns

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The equipment that is in my home for which Protect America has billed and continues to bill for alarm monitoring service is non-functional It has been non-functional since July, Protect America was notified when the equipment became non-functional The solution offered by Protect America was for new equipment with a year commitment for monitoring service for which I rejected Therefore, Protect America is unable to monitor the alarm in my home as there is not a functioning alarm system in my home for them to monitor In essence, they are billing while providing no service Calls were made dating back to July regarding the broken equipment As to the consumer agreement between Protect America and myself, there has been no written documentation provided by Protect America with my signature that memorializes their position stated How can I be billed for a service for which a merchant cannot provide? I have the broken equipment which I can send to Revdex.com or submit as evidence should this matter escalate to small claims court The harassment by this merchant has been overwhelming If protect America is seeking payment, my only offer is for them to send new, functional equipment for which I will use during a trial period with NO commitment for service I offer to maintain the service at $per month for the full period of the disputed months being discussed currently which is approximately four (4) months At that time, I would return the equipment to Protect America with no further commitment for service The equipment would have to be returned at the expense of Protect America The response by protect America does not mention anything about monitoring fees when their company is unable to do so due to non-functioning equipment Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The organization will say one thing but do something different Since I sent the letters I have received calls telling me that my account will be closed and the past due amount taking off the account However, I also received calls telling me that the company wanted the past due amount and that they would taking action with the credit companies Regards, [redacted]

Protect America has received the rejected response submitted by Mr [redacted] ***We appreciate the opportunity to resolve his concerns and provide the best possible solutionProtect America's Monitoring Agreement terms and conditions state that we require a thirty day written cancel notice in order to process cancellation of the account at the end of the termWe do not accept verbal requestsThere is no documentation on his account that we received a thirty day written cancel noticeHe would need to contact Customer Service at 1(800) [redacted] for further assistance regarding the cancellation of the account

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:They are lyingWhat they aren't telling you is that they were sending this email to my old email address that I no longer had access to.When I moved I gave them my new address,ph number and email addressWhen I did not get the email they are referring to,I called and asked what email address they had, and they said [redacted] I told them they had the wrong one and gave them [redacted] again, which they said they would change and send it again. They never did, even after I called at least more timesIt wasn't until I had my credit card company stop paying them in January that they miraculously out of the blue found my new email addressThey started sending threatening emails at a rate of a day starting this monthHad I not stopped payment ,they would have never contacted me I have all of their emails saved Regards, [redacted]

Protect America has received the complaint submitted by Mr [redacted] As per Protect America contract terms and conditions, the contract is for monthsWe reviewed the account and calls and we found that Mr [redacted] has been provided the options on terminating the contractWe ask that he allows Protect America to assist with any further concerns

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My wife, Mrs***, made phone contact in late May of to cancel service, as we were doing with all of our business and financial obligations My wife and I had just retired from our teaching positions to take effect 6/6/and had sold our house We were out of the house 6/6/15, and had physically moved into our new residence in Trout Creek, Mt by 6/16/ In late May, mail forwarding had been established with the Postal Service The date mentioned by Protect America of 6/17/is inaccurate or misleading We made arrangements with everyone including cable, utilities, financial institutions, etc., even the gym During that initial phone contact in late May initiated by her, my wife requested a regular billing statement with the charges Instead, we received nothing We were in the middle of our transition to our Montana residence, but mail forwarding was operative We received nor heard anything from Protect America from June to August 2015.Then in August we experienced the phone calls from Protect America indicating the bill had ballooned to from $to $ At the first of these August calls, my wife requested, as in late May, a bill with charges and an explanation for these charges Once again, no bill Some of these calls were threatening to take us to collections while some were sales pitches to continue service Each time we requested a bill and an explanation for the charges Nothing has been received by us in the mail.It is odd that we would be diligent and faithful in our payments in regards to all our business and financial arrangements and all of a sudden a problem with them Our credit rating is stellar.A resolution to this dilemma is feasible We will pay the regular service fee for the June/July period Also, any negative impact on our credit rating should be corrected Yet, Protect America does not seem to be open to resolution They make reference to their lawyers, or may be a bill collecting agency Does it really make sense to turn lawyers (or whoever) on a couple of retired teachers for a $claim of past due?In August, my wife sent an email detailing some of the above and a cancellation of service But bear in mind, we received no regular billing statement from June to the present It is only in August that we were notified by Protect America of the matter, and a $past due If we are to pay for service from June to August, where is the paperwork indicating such service was rendered? From late May to August, since we heard nothing, as far as we were concerned there was no problem.Paying for July to August would be paying for service at a home we no longer own, in a town we no longer live in, while living in a rural area with more grizzly bears than law enforcement officers Let's resolve this matter and move on[redacted] Regards, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I have voice mail, never received a voice mail stating they were trying to reach meNever received anything by mailDidn't realize I needed to give a day cancelation or I would have, I had these services because I was under victim witness, due to threats to take my life were being madeI tried to explain to the collection agency and they wouldn't listen to anything I had to say and would not work with meWhile obtaining services thru the company I paid monthly in which was taken directly out of my checking account at the time therefore per my consistentancy in paying timely clearly I'm not trying to rip anyone of nor was I intentially trying to breach any contract which by the way my services were set up via phone (wireless connection) I never physically signed anything Due to my good standing while having services I don't feel like I should be held accountable for something I canceledThis is nothing but a scam and money maker and very unethical Regards, [redacted]

Protect America has received the complaint submitted by Mr [redacted] Upon review of the account, it was determined that the account was set up through a 3rd party dealerThe contract Mr [redacted] signed, does not show that a camera was part of the equipment provided nor does it show that he was being charged for any video monitoring servicesReview of the installations call dated 08/21/2013, shows that he called to install the equipment and we verified the list of the equipment he had received and he confirmed that the information was accurateMr [redacted] did not mention anything about being promised a camera from the 3rd party dealer nor did he state that he wanted to add a camera as part of his equipmentyears later on 08/23/2016, he called and spoke to us and as a courtesy to him, we shipped out a camera to him The camera was delivered on 08/30/at the address on file We encourage him to contact Protect America at [redacted] with any further concerns

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response for a couple of reasonsFirst, this response does not account for the May charges if you assume they received the equipment on April The April date is contrary to a customer service rep telling me they did not receive the equipment until MaySecond, since they sent me equipment after I returned everything it would have been impossible for me to have sent ALL equipment back within the allotted time frame from the original cancellation date of March 16.Third, I do not know what Protect America's policy is regarding replying to email, but they did not respond to any emails I sent concerning the account (attached)The email address was provided in their emails to me regarding the cancellation as an appropriate method of contact for questions or inquiries regarding the accountNot responding to my emails significantly delayed the return of the unwanted second shipment of equipment. And last, the email I received from them states the final cancellation date of March It does not state that I breached any agreement with them regarding late equipment or any other issueFor the above reasons I believe I am owed a refund of all charges less the $restocking fee per the original cancellation agreement Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is acceptable, considering the wording of the contract Regards, [redacted]
