I am rejecting this response because:My complaint ID number is *** My Name is *** * *** , I have been a customer with Protect America since I have had nothing but problems with the equipment and therefore I contacted them telling them that I no longer wished to be a customerI offered to return the equipment to them that they had sent me for the home security system, but they refusedI was told that they requested that since I am selling my home they wanted me to show the people that would purchase the home the equipment that I have and try to get them to continue the services of Protect AmericaI said that I would do thatI have never signed a contract with Protect America in such a long time if ever that when they told me that I was still under contract I told them that I was notThey argued that I has signed a contract that was sent via an e-mailI again told them that I did not sign anything such as a contract I then received a letter that was worded as a contract and in all different types of areas requiring a signature the name *** ***, although I never responded to this contract and as I had said I never once signed any electronic signature of any kindThis was apparently done by Protect America but not by meI am now receiving threats from the company that they are going to report my refusal to pay on the contract to the three credit agenciesI told then that it would be fraudulent to do so and even them signing the electronic signature on the contract was illegalThey are still calling me telling me that they are taking the contract as my signature , I then told them that they has signed the contract not meThey refused to accept that, I did ask however what does a customer that no longer wishes to be a customer any longer to stop there servicesI was not given an answerThe women began to tell me that they would send an e-mail and then stopped from giving me an answerAs I already said I was a customer since and now I have just decided that the equipment was not working properly and I have severe idiopathic Neuropathy which prevents me from climbing the stairsI wish to conclude my complaint stating that I have not signed the forms electronically ever and my ex-wife's name was the one on the contract it took me many years to have her name removed from the service but I never signed the contract electronically is physically signed the contractProtect America continues to threaten me that they are going to report me to the three credit agencies to damage my creditI asked them after being a customer since why would I break a contract other than there just was not oneI asked to speak with the CEO of Protect America to explain to him that the equipment was not working properly and they where sending me used faulty equipment in place of the faulty equipmentI no longer wish to be a paying customer of Protect America I have never signed a contract for another three year contract in fact I have never signed a contract at allI did want the service but now with the defective equipment I no longer wish to be a customer any longer , I have not signed another contract and I offered to send back the equipment that they have given to me they are the ones that refused to take back the equipment I now just refused to pay on a contract that does not exist and I will continue to refuse to sign another contract As I said it is Protect America that has signed the contract using my name not meThank you *** * ***

cancelWe explained the year agreement term and offered the option to transfer service to someone else or she could buyout the contractMs*** declined the offer and to leave the account as is5/23/17- Ms*** called and asked what the balance would be to pay off the accountWe provided her with $for monthsShe thanked us and ended the call7/22/17- Ms*** called and asked what the balance would be to pay off the accountWe provided her with $for monthsShe thanked us and ended the call12/28/17- Ms*** called and asked what the balance would be to pay off the accountWe asked if she’s calling to prepay the account and Ms*** said no that she only want to know the payoff amountWe asked again, if she meant the remaining months left on the agreement to cancel services or did she want the balance of the remaining monthsShe stated she only wanted the balance for the remaining months and we provided her with $for monthsWe also explained that will only pay the balance and it will not automatically cancel the accountShe thanked us and ended the call3/6/18-Ms*** called and asked when her contract ends, we explained that she was currently on month to monthMs*** then requested to cancel service stating she told us she wanted the service cancelled prior to the cancel dateWe explained that she needed to speak with our cancellation team to cancel serviceWe made several attempts in reaching Ms*** to resolve her concerns but were unsuccessfulProtect America require a day written notice to cancel serviceA cancellation link is emailed to a customer requesting cancellation with instructions. We will also walk the customer through the process while they are on the phoneOnce the cancellation link is electronically acknowledged by the customer, the account is setup for cancellation and any monies due at the time of the request can be paid within the linkAfter the acknowledgment is received the account is setup to cancel days from that dateAt this time we are going to acknowledge the correspondence from your office as the written cancel notice but the past due balance will remain open and we request Ms*** make that final paymentPlease feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns Best Regards, Customer Protection
