I am rejecting this response because:Protect America has sent me a bill for for the months that has been proven my system was not working My credit card company, Bank of America, has denied their payments for the last three months in dispute and has reimbursed me, thus them sending me the billTo fight with a corporate company over what is right and wrong is exhausting I was never told that I had to call in monthly to test my system, as I would of never enlisted their services I enlisted their services after my house was broken into and this was the initiating factor in my relationship with Protect America I am a year old woman who owns her home by herself, and it is basically in the woods Clearly to them, as a corporate nationwide alarm company, it does not actually matter if they are providing the service they should of been Clearly it does not matter that their service records pointed out that my system was not working, and I should of been notified They are the big corporate and I am not Once again, a big corporation will 'bully' a small nobody consumer to pay them monies they do not deserve for services they did not provide I do not even remember signing a contract with them, as they shipped me the alarm system and my son installed it back in Whether on contract or on morals, I was hoping that Protect America would just reimburse me or credit me the months (June to August) where it was proven that my system was not working I have requested their reports of the results from my system for the years that I was their customerIt was a resounding no. So once again, I must say this is exhausting and very disheartening that a big corporation needs the $more than me, even if they did not provide the services. All is well, I will pay the bill and be done with them Thank you for all your help as I am truly grateful, even if a positive resolution in my favor was not reached.I am just hoping that other consumers do not get caught in my situation with Protect America.....

I am rejecting this response because:They claim I did not send the letter until 12/28/I only sent the letter because they stated to me after many correspondences that they would need a letter to confirm the service endingI originally cancelled the service in August I was never informed at that time or any other time until the end of December that they would need it in writingThey are just trying to extort additional money from me that they know is not due them. All equipment was disconnected and taken down in August They keep sending threatening emails stating they will turn me over to collections, then send me really nice ones enticing me to stay with their companyAre you kidding me? I have kept all of the emails they have been sending me and it's quite a few each and every dayThis is harassment at it's worstI refuse to pay for service I did not receive or use

I am rejecting this response because:1.This company gave me a fake email addressThey instructed me in January to send an email to [email protected] This is a FAKE emailProtect America is still trying to withdraw money from my American Express on April 2017, This is after they assured me that they had credited my account Please stop trying to withdraw money from my American Express AccountThis is criminal and fraudulent.
I will accept a settlement from Protect America under the following conditions: (a) Apologize in writing for the mental anguish and psychological terror inflicted on us, and hours wasted on the telephone and writing emails(b) Refund all the money you stole from meYou charged me for nine months while I was not using your Security System Thank you ***

Protect America chose to use today as an "educational' call that appeared to place blame one rather than their protocolBottom line, Protect America did not protecty home for a month unbeknownstI signed an agreement to pay them for this serviceReimbursing me for one month does not restore trustI don't have access to records to know when representatives will make such changesHad I known, Protect America wanted me to call them every month for "testing", I would not have signed a contract with themThe information provided on today's call should have been provided prior to me signing a contract not afterI am no longer confident in the company's ability to protect and monitor my homeAt this time, I feel they are asking me to do what they should be doing...ensuring information is accurate and equipment is functioningI should not have to pay them to do monitoring on their behalf

I am rejecting this response because:The company wants me to enter into a 3-year contract and not compensate me for the year of services that were paid for but not provided I need to be compensated for my loss prior to entertaining any future commitment with Protect AmericaThe attached document details my attempts to work with the company to resolve my problem with them, as well as their typical delay tactics.At this point, since they have not responded to my request for a refund and to part ways, I feel that an equitable solution would be for them to repair my system at no cost, maintain the month-to-month arrangement at the current price, and provide the next six months of service for free If the company can provide stable service and demonstrate performance, after the month time frame I would be willing to entertain upgrading the system and entering into a longer term agreement.I have a concern that the company plans to terminate my service as of September 30, 2016, without compensating me for the year that I paid for service that I did not receive I would not like to have to go down that road if it can be avoided The three-year contract is the sole option they have provided, and I am certain that their solution is not in my best interest

he initially set up the account in August 09, A digital copy of the Agreement was sent to the email address on file within days of the account set upRegarding his billing issues, based on our records, we did not double charge Mr*** accountWe only processed one payment per month as was agreed upon on his contractEnclosed is a copy of his payment history for his reviewMr*** payments are due on the first of every monthWe send the invoice request to the bank on the 1st of every monthProcessing the payment is dependent on when the bank chooses to apply the request and the availability of fundsHe would need to contact them regarding the processThis information was relayed to MrJohn *** when he contacted us regarding the issueMr*** was also advised to provide additional statements from the bank that show any contrary information to what was provided to himAt this time, we have not received the additional informationWe ask that he allows Protect America to assist with any further concerns

I am rejecting this response because: I was mentally impaired and
did not understand the agreement I was entering into at the time of signing the agreement with Protect America. I was under duressI did not understand that the system was self installation until after I paid and signed the contract. Nor did I understand that I had the option to cancel without penalty. During many calls to protect America regarding the difficulty I was experiencing, no one ever mentioned the day cancellation period until after it expired. I attempted to honor the contract by having a friend fly from TN to FL to install the system. After it was installed and we left the home, the system was up and running except one censor. A couple of days later after I had returned to VA, I started receiving alarm failure messages everyday of which I ignored for approximately days because I did not have the mental capacity to address it. At some point after days, I called to inquire about what was going on. I was told that I would need to be at the home in order to trouble shoot the problem. I explained that I was not capable of dealing with the entire situation and I requested to terminate the contract. Protect America did nothing to try and accommodate me and my mental and health limitations. I suffer with PTSD and depression. I take medication and receive monthly treatment. I have not ashamed of my illness because it happened because I was serving this country. I have medical documentation to support my medical condition. I have asked protect America times to send me the mailing address to return their equipment but they refuse.

I am rejecting this response because: I was not made aware that I had to cancel days prior My contract was up July I canceled July 5th I made good on our year contract, never was late and I fulfilled my end I could not afford, nor did I want the service, and I did not owe protect American anything, so it was time to go Protect america came up with another way to get more money out of me before I was let go My account was debited August 1st for no reason at it I do not used the service, I told the company not to debit me, but they did They were paid for nothing
