I am rejecting this response because:Why would I contact them in for a new contract? We ALREADY had a contract from original purchase in 2009, which stated after years we would be placed on a yearly contract basis. We contacted them periodically only to see if their equipment had improved enough for the added security that we needed. We gave them years to achieve this goal. They are not understanding the situation and why we had no choice, but to cancel. We have been more than fair, considering the last few months the equipment was not even performing correctly and all you receive are "programmed responses", no better than talking to a computer. We have forward all information regarding this problem to the Attorney General's office

cancelled by written notice no later than thirty (30) days prior to the end of
the initial term or any renewal termThere are other options that can be accommodated,

I am rejecting this response because: I have spoken to a manager: *** Sanchez on Dec29th when I called protect AmericaWe discussed the fact that Protect America had agreed to terminate my contract as of Jan 31st This was good news to me, but I had spoken to another manager *** back in November and he had said that they would credit my account for the months of November and December which are now outstandingThey had already credited the months of Sept and Oct because they had not fulfilled their end of a contract signed Aug 6th *** was going to speak with *** to clear up my balance and return a call to me on Dec 30th at 7:on my cell phoneHe did not call me back at the time discussedI would like to just clear up all that we discussed and will be happy with this resolutionI am looking forward to Protect America to contact me with this final resolutionI also fear that now that Jan 1st has passed there will be yet another month billed to me, so I want this to stop

I am rejecting this response because: You have made calls during the day when I specified that I am only available after 5pmI have also contacted your customer service department multiple times (most recently 1/24/via the app for systems trouble AGAIN)I have also called your company and spoken with Jesse from the Resolutions Department 1/22/18, who again was unwilling to release me from this contract even after explaining all the signal strength problems; I was only offered ANOTHER panel to try (just installed Saturday)So again, I have to keep trying panels with possible signal monitoring issues.I don’t think this company understands the anxiety related to having intermittent signal coverage for HOME PROTECTIONI have been suffering for months now, unable to sleep at night when I am alone, because I don’t know if the coverage is in place.

I am rejecting this response because:The contract clearly states "for monitoring and other services, payable at the rate of $monthly". I have not utilized any monitoring or "other services" from Protect America. Nothing was ever turned on, used or serviced. I made it clear I would be on vacation, and the system and day period started anyway. At day 17, I made it clear that I did not want the service or equipment and returned it. Protect America ACCEPTED the returned equipment. With that, Protect America cannot expect a monthly payment for absolutely no services performed or product. Had something bee hooked up or the product not accepted upon return, I can see where a contract may be considered executed. In this case, that did not happen. I paid the restocking fee for the equipment. I also made it clear that I understood that because I was days beyond the day window, (although I absolutely disagree that I did not make it clear I was on vacation and the equipment should not be shipped - I have asked for a transcript of that call and not received it) and the rep was giving me no other viable options, that I would pay a cancellation fee if necessary to account for time spend by Protect America. I asked about a lower monthly cost, being that I had zero services and zero equipment, again that was denied. While Protect America seems to have a contract that puts the consumer at a significant disadvantage, in this case, I have never been provided any service and possess no equipment from this company. The invoice received and dated 8/4/has no detail of what the charges are for. Detailed invoices of what services or products are a necessary piece of billing and fair business practices. Protect America is not following that in this instance.This is not resolved. No service or equipment was ever utilized from this company with regard to my account. I would like my account closed immediately and the restocking fee to be considered payment in full.

Protect America has received the rejected response submitted by Ms*** ***We appreciate the opportunity to address her concernsIn April 30, 2017, Ms*** contacted Protect America and advised the sales representative that she was moving into a new home and was shopping around for the best price regarding home securityShe provided information on her new home and the sales representative was able to assess her needs and recommend a package that would best safeguard her home The sales representative explained in detail the Monitoring Agreement terms and conditions to which Ms*** provided her verbal and written consentDuring the installation process, Ms*** had a sensor that was not functioning and we were able to ship a replacement sensor to her address on fileWe offered to have a technician sent to her house to assist in resolving her sensor issues and offered to apply an additional two months credit on the account as a courtesy to herShe declined the offers and requested cancellation of the accountWe provided in detail the options available to her to terminate the accountWe ask that she allows Protect America to assist with any further concerns
