I am rejecting this response because:  The information requested and sent in by me was done back in October and in November I got information that I did not qualify for refinance through FHA because of my income after losing my ex husband's retirement from the military.  The bank Penny Mac is the one that did the paperwork, review , etc for the FHA and the letter I got was from them.  I find it irresponsible that when the review was taking place they were not using the same information for the short sale.  Some of the paperwork has been sent in 3 or more times like it has been lost.  The real estate agent has sent in all the forms they asked for from him again as of yesterday.  The person we are dealing with says he has sent it off and requested approval for the short sale and then he sends something else mentioning that he needs it so he can "send off" so we never know where it is at.  What we do know is that we had a December 19 closing for the house and because of sending in paperwork several times (I sent same day or next day) it was not able to close.  By the grace of God the buyer extended the contract to February 13 so now we are waiting again for approval...over another month.  Once this has been approved by FHA there is no excuse for them to drag their feet like this.  I feel like they are deliberately trying to force house into foreclosure instead of allowing the short sale.

I also received no voicemail. I have previously received voicemails and if they did call I would expect them to continue to leave one. Most importantly, this response provides no resolution of the open issues!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10263965, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, provided PennyMac follows through with their promise of a letter to me to ensure they have corrected the situation.  They promised this in a call to me this week.  If I do not receive the letter, I wish to re-submit this complaint against them.  Thank you to the Revdex.com for mediating this situation.

receipt of the Revdex.com’s correspondence, our office completed a thorough review of
Mr. [redacted]’s loan as it relates to his May 1, 2014 mortgage payment. Please be
assured PennyMac has located the payment, in the amount of $1,500.00, and
applied the funds on May 23, 2014, effective for May 1, 2014. Additionally, as Mr.
[redacted] remitted another mortgage payment over the phone on May 16, 2014, these
funds were applied towards the June 1, 2014 mortgage payment. As of the date of
this letter the loan is current and next due for the July 1, 2014 mortgage
payment.
Please note
payments remitted through military allotment are not recommended as the funds
are received without the necessary account information (i.e. loan number,
borrower name, property address). As such, upon receipt of the payment, we are
unable to identify which loan the funds belong to which subsequently causes a
delay in applying the mortgage payment. We apologize for any inconvenience this
may have caused.

Upon
receipt of the Revdex.com notification, PennyMac completed a thorough review of Ms.
[redacted]’s loan.  Our research indicates
that PennyMac received Ms. [redacted]’s request to pay the Village taxes on May 16,
2014.  After verifying with the Sleepy
Hollow Treasurer on May 23, 2014, that the village taxes remained unpaid, funds
were issued from the loan’s escrow account to pay the outstanding village
taxes.  In order to expedite the payment
to the Sleepy Hollow Treasurer, the check was scheduled to be sent via Federal Express
overnight delivery; however, due to an internal processing delay, the check was
not processed and sent as scheduled.  As
a result the Village taxes remained unpaid until they received Ms. [redacted]’s
payment on May 28, 2014. 
PennyMac
advanced funds from our corporate account to pay the penalties and interest due
to Sleepy Hollow Village for the late tax payment. As Ms. [redacted] paid for her
taxes herself, a wire, was deposited into her bank account on May 30, 2014.  This wire included the reimbursement for the
taxes and penalties she paid to Sleepy Hollow Treasurer, in addition to a bank
wire fee.  Lastly, our system has been
updated to ensure future tax payments are disbursed to the appropriate payees. Ms.
[redacted], confirmed during a telephone conversation with PennyMac on May 30, 2014,
that her questions and concerns had been addressed.
