I am rejecting this response because:I rechecked my credit card statement. The phone number that they say belongs to this company in the response to my claim  is the EXACT phone number listed on my credit card statement. It is impossible for two different companies to have the same number.My position now is, this company is scamming the public and should be shut down.

I was falsely lead to believe by the Peoplefinders.com web page that the information that I was seeking was available from all states. The fact that the information I was seeking was not available from the State of Alabama was omitted on the web page. The information that was provided was outdated or for the wrong person.

careful to only order the location search. I did not want or need a criminal background check. I thought I was paying $3 for the thing. I would NEVER have signed up for the $15 search OR your recurrent subscription. This is clearly intended to deceive the consumer and, because of the number of complaints against this company, it is clear they have done this to many, many people. I want to see where I authorized this and I wish to continue this action and escalate it as far as possible. This is an unscrupulous company and is not to be trusted.

from PeopleFinders when they received my request to close my account. I used their account to locate some relatives. I no longer need this account - I am not using their service and do NOT want to be billed for services I do NOT use or want or need.

The customer chose a trial membership and had three days to cancel before being billed. Also, the customer would have needed to approved the three day trial in order to complete the purchase. Per out Terms of Use, no refund will be issued.

The customer called in to customer care for assistance. During that call they were reminded of the Terms of Use they agreed to at the time of sign up. The $14.95 was for 1 month of service and will not renew as the membership has been canceled per request. The product is not refundable per the Terms...

That Peoplefinders is telling you that my membership is cancelled does not necessarily mean they have cancelled it. Given the propensity of this company to lie I suspect they will continue to attempt to take money out of my account. I am trying to have that blocked by my bank on my end.
