Review: We lost our dog on Wednesday, January *, 2015 and decided to call Pet Amber Alert for assistance. The company, did not perform as advertised. After paying in full on Thursday, January *, 2015, the day I signed up for this service, I was expecting phone calls to be made within 24 hours. When they did start to make the phone calls, the dog had already been reported to them as found (on Monday, January **, 2015).

After contacting a dozen neighbors, only one had received a call and they did not receive a call until Thursday, January ** 2015, which was obviously too late to help.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!Desired Settlement: Refund and change their practice, web site to state that it may take up to one week for phone call to start

Review: I have been trying to cancel an automatic withdrawal from my checking account for months and months by contacting Pet Amber Alert, my bank (Commerce) and PayPal. I have not gotten a response from anyone, except the bank, saying that I had to go through Paypal and they could not help.

We found our lost cat 16 months ago (August 2012), yet $9.95 is still being withdrawn from my checking account each month, for a total of $159.20! Thank you for any help you can give me.Desired Settlement: I want the automatic withdrawals to cease and I want my $159.20 back.

Orders are process at all times of the day but the alerts are not sent out till after 9am and before 9pm as the FCC permits.

We are very sorry for this but as soon as your order was submitted all the information needed to find your pet was being collected automatically via third party companies/websites and PetAmberAlert has incurred costs for the information collected. Therefore we cannot provide you with a refund.

Information about no refund policy is provided on our website and also on the bottom of our order forms, right under our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. It was also included in the confirmation email that was sent to you. Thank you!

I sincerely apologize for the error, your subscription should have been cancelled.

It is possible that since you used a different email to pay with Paypal than the one on your pets account, the subscription had trouble cancelling.

I have removed your subscription and will be refunding all the charges back to you. I apologize once again and thank you!

Review: This company charged us for the service to help locate our lost cat but failed to provide any notice of completed work or assistance to find her.

On 11/**/2014 we requested the assistance of PetAmberAlert to help us locate our lost cat of seven years, [redacted]. We paid them via [redacted] with a transaction ID number of [redacted] for a total of $119.95. We received an order summary saying the payment was received and we would receive an additional email with login instructions once the alert was completed in 24 hours. The email was received by my email of [redacted] at 17:52 eastern standard time. Following that email we had not received a single email or phone call from Pet Amber Alert. We set out to continue to search for our lost animal on our own, going door to door and posting flyers. We lucky were able to locate our cat, [redacted], with the help of our neighbors the following evening. We contacted Pet Amber Alert letting them know that although we never received confirmation that they were even working on the case, we found our cat on our own. I informed the customer service representative of my concern with no completion of the services we paid for and she said she would leave a note on the record to contact me. Following no call for several days, I called again and spoke to another woman saying that the best luck I would have is to send an email to [redacted]. I immediately sent an email to that website on 11/** at 9:52 stating "On Friday night, we requested the help of petamberalert.com to find our lost cat. We received an email stating that payment was received for posting the alert, but never received a log in or password to view the alert, track the alert or that any calls were being made to neighbors. We found our cat on our own the following afternoon, still without receiving any additional information from you other than the initial payment received email. You did not assist us in finding our animal and when I called to cancel the alert, a representative said you would call about possible reimbursement, and four days later, I haven't heard anything from you. Please let me know if there is anything you can do for us seeing as we never received any notification or confirmation saying you assisted us in any way to find our animal." Following that email, I gave the company time to return my call or email and have heard nothing. We spoke to all of the neighbors that we went door to door looking for our cat and all of them informed us they received no message or phone call stating [redacted] was even missing! We are very grateful to have our cat at home and safe again, but feel very taken advantage of by a service that most people would hold in high regard to help them in a very sensitive time.Desired Settlement: We are seeking a full refund from the company because as far as we are concerned, the company did nothing following the processing of our payment. We are very disappointed to have trusted these people in the first place.

You never completed any of the work that was paid for with the 119.95. I would not have had any issues paying the money if you would have done anything for us but you didn't even generate any of the notifications thst you promised in the email saying you were "on the case." You took advantage of us and didn't even provide a follow up email stating that any work was done.

Review: I paid this company $149.95 to call 1250 of my closest neighbors about my missing dog. They were supposed to provide me with a list of everyone called which they have failed to do. They refuse to respond to emails and never anwser their phone.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund since this company is a fraud and has not provided the service I paid for.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

SCAM ALERT: I have been scammed by PetAmberAlert.com. This company supposedly will help you find your lost animal by calling all the neighbors within a chosen mile radius of your house for a fee, and also FAX all vets, shelters, rescue organizations with the information about your pet. I have checked and they have not done any of these things and when I called there is "no one there who can help me, they will call me back". On the second call, I threatened them that I would report them to the Revdex.com if they did not call me back within 1 hour. So I tried to chat online with them and got someone to respond. When I told them that I had not received a call, they said that my account had been reimbursed and the order canceled. I looked at my [redacted] account, and they have now refunded my money. I have lost more than a day in the search for my cat because of these evil people. I recommend calling the company corresponding to your pet's microchip. They have a ~$20 service that will email all the vets, shelters, rescue organizations with the information about your pet that you upload online. They will also call you immediately if there is any information whatsoever regarding your lost pet.

Review: We placed our order with PetAmberAlert.com on 9/**/14 to report our lost dog. We chose this site because the website advertised "Save Precious Time by Amber Alerting Shelters, Vets, Hospitals, and Neighbors Immediately!" This did not happen. Even after emailing and calling their customer service dept, the vendor didn't do anything as promised until 9/**/14 at which time I received an email confirmation giving me a password to access their site for a missing dog flyer.

They claim on their website that they would fax 25 pet agencies immediately. In reality, they only contacted 13. Most notably, they didn’t even contact the animal control office in our town or the neighboring towns to our location.

Lastly, they were supposed to notify homes in a 5 mile radius by phone. This was not done until 10/*/14; four and one half days after our order was placed. Additionally, the “robo call” phone message they sent out was so garbled that several neighbors called us because they couldn’t understand the body of the message. This company is a sham! We would like a full refund for non-performance and misrepresentation.

In addition to contacting the Revdex.com, we have placed a dispute with [redacted] to see if we can get a full refund of $79.98.Desired Settlement: We are looking for a full refund. We also want to expose this vendor's unfair and deceiving trade practices.

Review: I contacted petamberalert.com for their assistance in finding my dog based on their advertisement to immediately begin the search for a lost pet. I filled out the required information on line; however. there was not an option for payment, so I submitted my information thinking they would get my approval for the flyer they promised to create about my dog and then ask for payment. I received an immediate response (I copied and pasted the email below)

Dear [redacted], we know how upsetting it is when a pet goes missing. Please know that we are working on Jazz’s case. The alert has started processing and the whole process will complete within 24 hours. You will receive a confirmation email with login instructions once the alert is succesfully completed.

Order Summary Payment Method: Alert Total: 29.98

If you have questions, you’ll find many answers on our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Thank you for trusting us to get the word out about your missing pet.

I submitted my information on 1/**/2015 and received an email 12 hours later about my payment that I immediately submitted

The date is now 1/**/2015 and I have yet to receive any information from Pet Amber Alert about my confirmation email and login.

I contacted another company and within minutes they faxed a flyer they created about my dog to 25 area shelters, vets and pet businesses and at no charge.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the service I was promised and did not receive as per Pet Amber Alert's promise to immediately begin searching for a beloved lost pet or even 24 hours after the process had completed as stated in their email.

Review: I hired this company to provide specific services to me for the price of $99.95. The services included the creation of a poster for a lost pet, the distribution of that poster to 25 agencies in my community to notify them of my lost pet, and phone calls made to 250 of my closest neighbors alerting them of my lost pet. The transaction was made through their website ([redacted]). My credit card was charged immediately and I received an email confirming the transaction. When I didn't receive any further notice from them I tried calling, emailing and sending messages through their website support service. Their phone message promises they will return calls immediately. I have tried twice since and left messages and have had no response. The support service on their website does not connect and only responds with ERROR messages. They have not responded to my emails nor to messages sent through their Live Chat screen on their website. I finally received an emailed copy of the poster that was created saying it had been faxed to 25 agencies. I phoned several local agencies (vet clinics and animal shelters) - NONE had received any fax from this service. I then contacted multiple neighbors and NONE of them had received any phone call or phone message from this company. I sent another request to the company asking for a list of the agencies they had called and did not receive a response. This company was hired for specific performance of a contractual agreement and has not honored that agreement. A full refund is demanded.Desired Settlement: Full refund and explanation of why this service continually receives the same complaint I made.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Because...I just learned that my pet alert has JUST NOW (within the last 30 minutes) FINALLY been sent out. It was not until I complained about this service that action was taken. I received phone calls from four neighbors in the last half hour saying that they had only just now received a phone call from your service about my missing pet. And I checked with the vet clinics on your list and they had JUST within the last few minutes received a fax from you. Shame on you for taking your sweet time to fulfill my order. Your website states clearly that you understand the need for timely action when a pet goes missing. To wait three full days to complete this order is unacceptable. Additionally, I am at a loss to understand the thinking behind sending a fax about a missing cat to a bank, the city administrative offices, a golf course in another state, a department store, a post office in another city and the community college fire department! It appears that little or no research or review is done on the list of businesses or agencies to which your notice is sent. This is too little, too late. If you are unable to fulfill the implied promises of your contract then I should be compensated for your inability to do so!

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Response:

The alert was resend free of charge after the original complaint. Agencies have now received 2 copies of the alert.

Review: I hired PetAmberAlert.com when my cat dissappeared. I bought the specialty package ($70.00) which included a phone alert which notified 250 neighbors, and also a poster sent to 25 businesses in a 10 mile radius. I found out from a couple neighbors they did not receive a phone call. I emailed the company 8/**/13 a cordial message asking why. they said nothing but sent a picture of a map with a circle drawn on it. (suppose to represent the 10 mile radius.) I logged into my account on the site, now updated with information. It listed 13 businesses they contacted and 16 neighbors. of the 16 names, a couple names and numbers were complete, the rest incomplete. The businesses they supposedly notified, weren't that close and none of the business around me have been contacted as far as I know, and I have quite a few within a 2 mile radius. I went to the the closest animal shelter to me and they said they never received the poster! They told me that the pet amber alert isn't that great at sending things. I payed money that I barely had to try to find my cat as I have exhausted all other possibilities. I have even made up my own posters and went door to door on 10 streets around me. I got angry when I found out that the most important place, the nearest shelter to me wasn't even contacted! I then emailed the company again on 8/**/13 asking why they have not done what they said they were going to do, and told them of the 13 / ** people supposedly notified, and the far off business that were notified. It has been 2 1/2 weeks now and I have not received a response, so I have now decided to contact, you guys, the Revdex.com. The whole thing angers me because I paid good money for a service that wasn't done how they said it would be, and I have also given them FREE advertising by copying and printing off their posters with their letterhead, address, and name all over around the neighborhood! I think they got more out of me than I did them, and no one is looking out for my pet, due to their part in this. It was me that had to spend money to print out their flyers, walk around post those, and then reprint my own and go door to door because they didn't do their job. The worst part is them not notifying the only animal shelter near me! Sincerely [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to think they would do what they said, but now I can't trust them to do it. I just would like a refund of my money. I hope that they learn to understand that a pet is a family member, and we are hurting without her. She has been with us since she was 6 weeks old for 7 years. Our pet is out there lost, afraid, and possibly hurt and because I thought PetAmberAlert did their job, precious time was lost, thinking that a lot of people were also on the lookout for her. When no one knew she was even missing. The people they are suppose to help are hurting, it is not right to take advantage.

Review: I followed the directions on the PetAmberAlert.com site for launching a pet amber alert phone call to 500 neighbors in my neighborhood. The first time I launched the service I received a list of the numbers called as well as a poster. The 2nd time I launched a pet amber alert in a new area, I received a poster and NO information about which numbers they called. Additionally, no information about the 2nd series of calls showed up on my account on their website. There was not record of the calls they made BUT I did get charged. I called and emailed the company 3 times. NO RESPONSE! They have no customer service center -- only a phone answering service. There were no responses to by inquiries or complaints. I don't think the company fulfilled any of their promises of calling people in the area!Desired Settlement: I would like this company to refund the charge of $89.99 for the 2nd series of calls. And I would like them to NOT charge me the monthly charge for updates -- which I expect they will do when it comes due. I WANT TO CANCEL ALL SERVICES WITH [redacted]

Review: April **, 2013, I purchased a pet alert service from petamberalert.com. My dog was to be posted on their website, alert calls were to be made to all residents, vets and pet shops within a 10 mile radius. The first month was to be free and then $39.95 a month if your pet was not found and you wanted to continue. I would have gladly paid them that amount if they had given me any service at all but my pet was found within an hour after the purchase. I called immediately to cancel the alerts and the subscription. The man said he would do so immediately. I do know that my neighbors or vets in the area did not receive an alert and based on other complaints maybe they really don't sent them out as promised although there are some testimonials on their site. A month later I received an e-mail from [redacted] saying the subscription was canceled (that is how I originally set up payment if I were to continue). I thought that was just a message from [redacted] notifying me it was cancelled but it turned out [redacted] had paid the $39.95 to petamberalert.com on May **, 2013 and attempted to withdraw it from my bank account. They used a bank account that I had cancelled more than a year before so [redacted] sent me another message that I would have to reimburse them. I told them I had cancelled the service in April, they said contact the company first to have them issue a credit. I originally called the company to cancel on April **, 2013, and twice more since that time and gotten no response. I have e-mailed the company twice and gotten no response.. Maybe they have a good service but I've now discovered they have many complaints and that they may only post the lost pet on [redacted] and then no one will see it unless they actually go into the petamberpetalert.com page. Additionally when you call you get an answering service and not someone from their own company answering the call. I know my e-mails go through as they have not bounced back. Also, I had contacted one other pet alert service and then cancelled them within an hour, they cancelled and did not charge me. Petamberalert.com fraudulently charged my [redacted] account.Desired Settlement: I desire the amount of $39.95 credited to my [redacted] account. Review: At first I received an email saying "Please know that we are working on [redacted]’s case. The alert has started processing and the whole process will complete in under 24 hours. You will receive a confirmation email with login instructions once the alert is succesfully completed. Even though there are no refunds once and alert is submitted it is still very important to inform us when your pet is found, otherwise valuable time is wasted which could be used for animals who are still lost." They said they would call my neighbors and inform them about my missing pet by 5 pm, but when I asked around, no one received a call.Desired Settlement: I want a refund because they did not deliver the services that were promised.

Business

Response:

The alert was fully issued and it not eligible for a refund. Attached is the system call log showing the time and date of every call placed.

This web site advertises quick action to get your lost pets information out as fast as possible. Then why did it take two days to post a picture and contact info put up instantly or in the hour as promised for the $80 fee. The devil is in the details of their contract. Even though they claim to be a 24/7 operation with almost instant postings their contract disclaimer states that they are not responsible for that. Huh? Sounds like the good ole "Bait and Switch" if you ask me. Several points in the disclaimer state "No Refunds" because once you hit submit "We have incurred costs by processing your information" Who's reading that when you're frantically trying to get the word out about your lost dog??? Guess we should have. This company promises you hope for $$$ but delivers nothing.

Review: We paid around $80 for a pet amber alert. they were supposed to put a picture and descroption of our dog on their [redacted] and [redacted] pages. they were also supposed to call local residents with the information and provide our phone number. its been over 24 hours and they have done nothing except post our dog on their website(which I suspect is done automttically online). I have made several calls to two different numbers provided by petamberalert.com and never get through. all I was able to do is leave a message. we have left several and have not heard anything. we bought their service in haste, hours after our dog was lost and we were distrought. Review: We purchased a flyer/phone service from Pet Amber Alerts to help us recover our lost dog. The website flyer showed the dog missing since January 1970; however, we placed the order on July **,2013. I immediately notified them by email of the error in hopes they would correct the problem....no response received, nor was the error corrected. Later we received an email to order additional services at a discounted price. Since we had gotten several leads in a neighborhood outside the previously reported radius, we thought it was a good idea to send out another phone message to the new neighborhood. However, we were unable to login. Again we tried to contact the company numerous times by phone and email, but never received a response. I'm disappointed that their posting has our dog missing for over 40 years; if someone did find our dog they wouldn't make the connection because he should be deceased by their timeline. We're also disappointed at the company's lack of customer service. We have no way of knowing what the actual phone message stated; for all we know, the phone message may have included false or incorrect information just like their website posting. Also, I'm frustrated we are unable to log in to our account and update any new information/sightings.Desired Settlement: I'd like the information corrected on the website. I'd like to know what the phone message actually stated to verify the validity of the lost dog message. And I'd like to be able to login to purchase a discounted package for a notification to a different neighborhood.

Review: On December **, I ordered a combined service that included the distribution of fliers to 50 local businesses as well as calls placed to 500 neighbors. I did not receive confirmation of my order and it took several hours for my account, to be activated even after I contacted customer service through their online chat function twice. The customer service agent on chat said he would add 50 additional businesses to my account because of the delay and that didn't happen. Later that same day, I marked the pet as found. The company never made the calls to neighbors as promised. I have anecdotal evidence from speaking with my neighbors. In addition, my account page shows the 50 businesses that fliers were distributed to, but under the call section it is blank. I emailed the business on two occasions requesting a refund for the call portion of the service and received no reply. During a billing dispute with BillMeLater and PayPal, they falsely claimed that they made the calls.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the 89.95 price for the call portion of the service that was not performed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I hired this company to help me find our lost pet in Oct. 2013 by signing up for a $9.99 monthly cost that was able to be cancelled at any time. We luckily found our pet a week later and cancelled our service and automatic monthly withdrawal. After several months of being charged, we called the company directly. We have called more than 4 times over a year to get this resolved and have been promised that "Mark would take care of it" with no results. I finally realized I could lodge a complaint through [redacted] to help. I did this and was reimbursed (6) months of my (12) months of dues owed. They can only go back (6) months. I sent a letter on October **, 2015 to this company telling them I would go to the business bureau if they did not respond with the total money owed. They replied promptly:"[redacted]" That has not happened. I have contacted them twice since with no reply. While this company was extremely helpful to us in locating our pet, their fraudulent and continuous monthly billing has tarnished our experience. I am owed (6) months of non-existent monthly subscription dues. This company is out of integrity with promises made and not kept as well as scamming the customer out of money that they are not due.Desired Settlement: I want my (6) months of monthly $9.99 charges refunded to as promised on October 12th by this company when I sent a threat to contact the Revdex.com about their fraudulent practices. I have only received (6) of the (12) months due to me through the intervention of [redacted].

Response:

Petamberalert.com terms of service state that refunds will not be issued for more than 1 month of service. In this case a 6 months was issued as a courtesy.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Each of my (4) different cancellation requests to this company starting at 1 WEEK after sign up have been met with "we are terribly sorry and will take care of this cancellation and refund IMMEDIATELY". This has been told to me each and every time throughout the YEAR I have been trying to resolve this without any voluntary refund. In desperation I enlisted [redacted] and [redacted] gave me an automatic 6 month refund (their maximum allowed). I used this companies service for a week and cancelled immediately but was billed for 12 months after the cancellation. I am still owed 6 months of erroneous monthly charges for a service that had been cancelled repeatedly with no effect. This company has promised to correct their mistake by refunding me time and time again with no follow through of action on their part. Now they are stating a policy that would ONLY apply if no cancellation attempts had been made. This is pure fraud and is flat out wrong. A fair resolution is to refund me fully for the monthly charges this company continued to take from my card for a YEAR AFTER I cancelled their service. Thank you,[redacted]

Review: I ordered a 250 phone call/25 poster alert with PetAmberAlert.com for a missing pet. As anyone who owns a pet can attest, having a missing pet is an extremely stressful situation. This is something that PetAmberAlert itself recognizes.

The sooner an [redacted] starts their search, the more likely the [redacted] is to recover their pet. Again, another fact that PetAmberAlert recognizes.

However, while "offering" a service to help resolve the issue, PetAmberAlert has failed to actually provide a portion of the service paid for. After five business days, PetAmberAlert has ONLY fulfilled the poster alert portion of the order, and has not placed a single phone call. I have already emailed PetAmberAlert's posted customer service email address and placed two phone calls to their listed customer service number. However, it is clear that the "customer service" is outsourced to a call center that cannot and does not provide any "service."Desired Settlement: PetAmberAlert recognizes the need for quick action in a situation like this, but has failed to provide any action on one half of the order. Given that PetAmberAlert's phone call service is automated and requires minimal work from an actual person, I want PetAmberAlert to:

(1) Complete the terms of our contract and place the 250 calls I ordered; and

(2) Provide an additional complimentary 250 phone calls.

PetAmberAlert's delay in making these calls not only means that I've paid for an unfulfilled service, but also that PetAmberAlert is, through its negligence, further reducing the chances of recovering my missing pet.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Quite frankly, PetAmberAlert's current proposed remedy is not only too little, it is also too late.

PetAmberAlert provided a late response to my initial complaint in which they proposed a resolution. I accepted their tardily proposed resolution. They subsequently failed to provide the resolution they themselves proposed. To the best of my knowledge, they still haven't done so a month after they proposed and I accepted it. Now, months after I initially contacted PetAmberAlert, they are trying to propose a resolution that, again, they should have proposed much earlier.

At this point, there is nothing that I would accept from PetAmberAlert (unless they somehow miraculously bring my dog home themselves) that would make me consider my complaint resolved.
