Pier1 Winter Haven, FL Location, but told this is at all locations. I was told that my Pier1 Gift Card would not be honored in store or online, (lucky me), beginning today, July 3rd, 2020. Since the business is still open for BUSINESS, this sounds to me like THEFT. I received a $30.00 Pier1 card from a fellow schoolteacher at the end of this previous school year, (the card was purchased a month or so ago). Now, Pier1 will not honor their own card while they are still in business. THAT IS THEFT. I had already driven to the store and spent time shopping and deciding what I would like and then waited and had the items rung up to over 60 dollars. When I went to use my PIER1 GIFT CARD I was told that they were not accepting gift cards any longer. I FELT CHEATED and assaulted by the experience and since I was in the line with everything already rung up, I spent $60.00 that I hadn't planned to today which is $30.00 more than I should have had to .

I've tried contacting Pier 1 numerous times (both on the phone and via chat message) for a month now. Each time I call the automated machine hangs up on me. I wait in line for 30+ minutes using the chat feature but as soon as I am first in line, there is "no one available." I ordered 2 pieces of furniture for in home delivery at the end of May and still have not received them nor have a received an update on their progress (6 weeks later).

I have a $150.00 gift card for Pier 1. I tried using the card on 06/28/2020 and they told me it was deactivated. They told me to contact customer service and that has proved to be impossible. There is no one answering phones, emails, or chat sessions. They basically stole $150 dollars from me.

We have attempted to contact the customer via email twice with no replies. Pier 1 Gift Cards are no longer able to be used on our website and in what we show to be your local store as of July 7. Perhaps you received our emails and visited your local store again, we're not sure.

Gift cards have no cash value and aren't able to be refunded. This is under the guidelines set forth by the bankruptcy court.

I had a $126 balance on my Pier1 gift card and placed an order on June 20th using up the balance. They only shipped one item and gave no reason for not sending the other items. They won't let me re-use my gift card for a replacement item (about $80) because they say it has no balance left when I try to submit the order online. In addition, because they are going out of business, they have a rule that no gift cards can be used after July 2nd. I have waited for hours on both the customer service phone line and online chat online only to be disconnected when I become the first person in the cue. Yesterday I was cr 120 and waited almost 1 hour before being disconnected. Is there any recourse for me? Thank you for your help with this matter.

Only received one-half of my order. Ordered two (2) each of Item #*** (Iron Pelican) and #*** (Metal Toucan) on May 20th for $178.72. Did not receive the order until Tuesday, June 16th and inside the box was only one item each. Same story as others, unable to get through on live chat or the 800 number. Never connected after long waiting periods or got dropped after you finally made it to the front of the line. Went to the store at ***, Mount *** - (***) ***-*** - and told them I was unable to get anyone on any number, email or live chat and I wanted to know what to do. They said they had had many customers saying they only got half an order and they did not have my two items in the store, but trucks were coming in on Wednesday and Friday and they showed they were to receive the two items on one of the incoming trucks. They took my phone number and said they would call the moment they got them and I could pick the 2 items up. No call, no items. I just want my order. Pier 1 employees said they had been taken over by an auction house who was liquidating all merchandise so I know they have my Toucan and Pelican. I just want what I paid for as I am sure Pier 1 liquidators will continue to scam customers. I LOVE this store and am sad that they have gone out of business - but I want what I paid for.

I've been trying for a few days now to reach Pier 1 to get a refund on the items that I did not receive. I ordered 5 items total and only received 2. The three items I didn't receive include a serving bowl (item ***) for $11.69, pasta bowl (item *** for $5.39, and a wood and metal 3 candle wall sconce (tem ***) for 26.99.

This totals $44.07 from order number ***.

On June 1 2020 I placed an order online at Pier 1 for a Swingasan chair , stand and cushion ( 3 items total) # *** . A total of $553.74 was charged to my credit card. I paid for white glove delivery service of $169 because I was not given another option to get this swing. I have called Pier 1 customer service but get disconnected after waiting on the phone for 2 hours, I have attempted to reach them by chat but it is no longer an option. I keep calling but no one picks up. an automated message states it takes 14-21 business days to process the request. It has been 22 days and no one has contacted me and I am unable to reach anyone at Pier 1. I have paid for an item I have yet to receive. I expect a full refund ( including the delivery service ) or an delivery date of the item this week.

I order a lot of stuff from Pier 1 on 5/22/2020 (bar stools, kitchen table and chairs and an outdoor seating set). Still no deliveries. We finally got a shipping confirmation on 1 item bought, but nothing else. Of course when you try to chat with anyone via phone or chat, you get nothing. Their chat places you in a queue and as soon as it is your turn, their chat says no one is available and ends chat. So ridiculous !

I am rejecting this response because: They have stated it is on truck, but have no idea where it is. They pointed blame on the shipper and stated they have no communication with them. Also, Pier 1 has scrubbed their site of the 3rd party shippers tracking number so I can no longer see any updates on my order. All it says now is processing....no additional info.

They have no idea where my order is, when it will be delivered. Forked over $4000 to them and all they can tell me is 1 part of your order is in transit. The other part, they have no clue where it is.

I recently ordered a dining room set from Pier 1. As part of the order, they made you include a "White Glove" delivery service, a $169 charge that includes a set up of your furniture. Upon delivery, the delivery person says he was unable to fulfill that service due to COVID. I reached out twice to customer service, each time waiting nearly 3 hours to talk to a representative to address this, in addition to other problems in the order (a broken chair leg, and a dent on the surface of the table). The representative said she was unable to refund me the full amount of the white glove service. I understand a delivery charge as something separate but the white glove service is specifically for the set up and inspection of our furniture. I know they're going out of business and would like this issue resolved before they stop addressing customer concerns altogether. I've read about other consumers addressing this misleading tactic as well.

I have placed 3 separate orders with Pier !, all including the $169.00 delivery fee. the oldest order was placed on May 30, 2020. When placing the order, the site read that I would receive my shipment via white glove service in approximately 14 days. I called after 16 days and was able to speak to someone who told me it would be shipped on June 19. Since, I have not been able to check the status of any order as customer service by phone is no longer an option because I have spent up to 2 hours and 40 minutes waiting, only to be hung up on, I have tried chat, but have waited multiple times in queue only to have it disconnect as no agents are available. All 3 orders are still processing and the first order still hasn't even shipped according to their site. I have called *** and they do have the order info but the product(s) still haven't left the Pier 1 warehouse. Other companies, even those going out of business have maintained their customer service through the final day, and have had delayed shipping due to Covid, but not to such an extent that customer service does not exist for those who have been charged for the goods. This leaves customers wondering if products will ever ship or if their funds are helping to pay creditors. Response of any sort would be welcome.

I am rejecting this response because:I have charged $1439.81 for 3 separate orders of furniture, each order costing $169.00 in delivery fees for a total of $507.00 in fees. The first order was placed May 30, the second order June 11 and the 3rd June 15. I have previously filed and the matter closed with the Revdex.com, I AM NOT SATISIFIED! I have not been able to get an answer as to where and when my orders will be delivered. The site reads that it should take "up to 21 days to ship". It is long past 21 days. There is no response from Pier 1 or Ryder white glove delivery regarding the shipment; in tracking it shows that it is located 15 miles from my home, but has been sitting for weeks! I have not received a response from the business for the first claim filed. I have spent countless hours on hold or in their chat queue only to get a "Chat Unavailable" notice when you are finally in single digits after hours waiting.Desired Outcome: Contact and an apology from the business with real information as to where my purchase is and when they will be received. Refund the white glove delivery fees, that is ridiculous to charge when I can probably drive to the Ryder warehouse and get it myself

I ordered a piece of furniture on June 1st (order number: W15***). I was told there would be a delay due to covid of up to 21 days. It's now 29 days later and the item hasn't even shipped to the shipping center from where it will be sent. The order still says "processing." When I call the costumer service line it says there will be a 3 hour wait. When I try to on-line chat, I wait for over 30 minutes and then it says no one is available and kicks me off. This is ridiculous. And, to add insult to injury the price on the iten dropped over $130 since I placed the order but I can't get it at the discounted price.

I placed an online order on 5/25/20 for a coffee table, end table and rug. The website at the time said delivery was taking up to 2 weeks. As of today 6/29/20 I have not received my order. When you check the website it just says order is processing. You cannot text, email or use live chat at all. My first attempt to call said my wait time was greater than 6 hours. My second attempt the wait time was 3 hours. I decide to wait it out and after 3 hours I was connected to a young lady who was very nice and she said my items were on the truck and I would receive shipping info when these items were scanned in by UPS. This was on 6-15-20. My items still say processing and no word from Pier1. My credit card has not been charged but as I explained to the person on the phone I just want to know if they are coming because if not I need to look elsewhere for these items. I really don't want to cancel the items, but I'm getting a feeling I'm never going to get them since I've never heard of items sitiing in a truck for so long waiting to be scanned by UPS. Horrible service. I have had the same experience as other costumers have detailed below. I placed an order June 1. The order still says "processing" and it is now June 29th. I cannot get through on the phone line (3-4 wait). The live chat makes you wait 40 plus minutes and then tells you no one is available and disconnects you. To blame this on Covid is nonsense, I have had no issues with orders from any other companies.

I ordered 1 Sand Chat Chair (Item: ***, 2 Sand Chat Settees (Item: ***, 2 *** Standard Contour Black Settee Cushions (Item: ***), 2 Calliope Ivory Tufted Standard Contour Settee Cushions (Item: ***), 1 *** Standard Contour Black Chair Cushion (Item: ***, and 1 Calliope Ivory Tufted Standard Contour Chair Cushion (Item: ***), (order number ***). I placed the order on May 24, 2020. I paid over $1000 after taxes and white glove delivery fee. I have yet to receive my items even though the website shows the order is complete and the items have shipped. When I call the delivery company, they tell me they have only received the cushions and not the chairs. I have repeatedly tried to contact Pier 1 via email, through the 800 customer service number, and via the on line chat, per the instructions outlined on their web site. Every time I wait in Queue for hours on the customer service number and via the on line chat, the system drops me, and I have to go back through the queue again. This is happening repeatedly. The customer service phones have at least a 2 hour wait and the chats have been over an hour each time I have been in queue, only to be dropped off the system or the call. I cannot connect with anyone to remedy this situation.

*correction to my last email. They did deliver the black standard cushion, not the second black contour cushion. Hello, I am reaching out to you regarding complaint ***. Revdex.com has closed my complaint as "Pier 1" contacted me about the issue. I was waiting to respond until I saw how they remedied the situation. Since my complaint, Pier 1 did contact me and advised me why it was taking so long to deliver my items. They informed me that they had an issue fitting all of the items on the delivery truck and they would be sending the delivery company (***) the final items (two standard ivory cushions) they were waiting on to be delivered. That was on July 1, 2020. Today I received my delivery and one of the settee chairs was broken. They also did not deliver the two standard ivory cushions or one of the black standard cushions. The delivery company told me they could bring back the chair, but I would need to call Pier 1 and ask for a replacement.I was unable to get a hold of them before and have no idea how I am supposed to get a hold of them now. I tried reaching out to their customer service center via email, hopefully they will reply. The last correspondence I had with them they told me "We are starting the process of closing our online ordering as our site will be done by July 12th". There is no way for me to get a hold of them on the weekend and the 12th is this Sunday. Can you please assist me with remedying this situation. Kind Regards,

My order was delivered 7 weeks after I ordered it. I still have not received two of the cushions I ordered. The leg on one of the chairs was broken so I asked the delivery company to return it. The delivery company told me they have been directed to destroy and dispose of any items being returned to Pier 1; therefore, I asked them to redeliver it so I could try and fix the leg, while working on a replacement/refund from Pier 1. Pier 1 then contacted me and stated they will not replace the chair and will not give me a refund, since I asked the move company to redeliver it, I essentially “accepted the chair as is.”

In the end, I am still missing two cushions 8 weeks after my purchase, the delivery company has yet to deliver the broken chair so I can attempt to fix it, no refund or replacement. I am out $169 for “white glove delivery” when it took 7 weeks to get a partial delivery of my items, they delivered to my front yard, one item broken. I am out another $179 if my hubby is not able to fix the chair. If I choose to not try and fix the chair and get a refund, I will have a partial set of patio furniture with extra cushions that are useless.

I placed an order *** back on May 24th. I received an email 12 days ago on June 17th that the product (in full) had been sent from the warehouse to the *** carrier and that it could take 5-7 days to get there. I still have not received a call. My credit card has been charged over $3,000.00. When I called the *** carrier, they said that they could not deliver because they were still waiting on one of the chairs. They cannot give me any delivery information. I can't get a hold of anyone at Pier 1, I have no product, *** keeps telling me they don't have the product to deliver and my card has been charged. I am tempted to go to my local police department and file a complaint for fraud and report a scam.

Order #***... ordered 4 counter stools on 5/31/20 and $169 for white glove service… Which was mandatory. Total order was $1047.49. It has been almost one month and I can’t get an answer from anywhere! Stayed on hold over two hours only to be disconnected and waited for over one hour on the “online chat” only to be disconnected once again! I have never been so frustrated with a business in my entire life! My order is still in “processing“ status… I just need answers. Thank you so much!

On May 24, 2020 I placed an on line order totaling to $92.08. It was for 3 JoJo white canisters (1-large,1-Med.,1-small) and 1 Bistro Steep Right Up Teapot. After completing my purchase On June 1st. I received an email stating that my items would be delivered on Saturday, June 6th UPS/USPS. It says originating store 4901. When I opened the box all 3 canisters were inside but not my teapot item #***. I did nor have I to date received an email stating what happened or if it will be delivered on a later date. NOT ONE notice! I have looked online and as of this complaint there are teapots still available. I tried calling customer service, texting and even SMS and tried the chat and ABSOLUTELY NO ONE IS THERE. I even tried calling on early and NOTHING!! This is very frustrating because I liked Pier 1 and saddened they are closing but now I'm very frustrated. This order is one of 5 orders I placed. I spent over $700.00 on these orders. I really need someone to contact me regarding this matter.

I ordered an item (orchids in a vase) which arrived completely broken. The item was clearly poorly packaged - the styrfoam was in pieces, and the tape was coming off the box. The customer service situation is a disaster. I have been unable to get a hold of anyone through chat or phone. They write on their site that you can reach them through text, and this is not true. This is extremely frustrating and bad business practice. I have waited for the live chat and when it said I was next in the queue it said there was an error. I would like a full refund.
