I ordered a Lia slipcovered sofa and loveseat on May 30th, in addition to slipcovers for each piece (4 items total). On July 3rd, the loveseat, and the slipcovers for the sofa and loveseat were delivered, but the sofa was missing. Since it was a Friday, I could not call Pier 1 customer service since they are only open Monday through Thursday. On Monday, July 6th, I was able to reach a customer service representative by phone and they assured me that a sofa had been "assigned" to my order. They said that it was on a truck in the warehouse, and the expected ship date was July 10th. They said that items are loaded onto the truck, and when the truck is full, it leaves the warehouse to go to the shipping company. On July 10th, which was also a Friday, I waited for a confirmation email (which the representative said I would receive) that the sofa had left the warehouse. Nothing came, and since it was Friday, I had to wait again until the next week to call. I spoke with customer service, including a representative from the "in home shipping" department on Tuesday, July 14th. Both representatives told me that it would have been impossible for the representative from the previous week to know that an item was on a truck. According to these representatives, I was lied to by the previous representative. They said it could be another 5-6 weeks before I received my sofa. I have again called on July 21st and July 22nd, and received the same information: there is no estimated delivery time for the sofa. As of today, it has been 37 business days since I placed my order, and the shipping time was originally estimated as 14-21 business days. I am very concerned that I will never receive the sofa at all, because the company is going out of business. Then, I will be stuck with 3 items that I cannot use, because all 4 items are a set. This is over $3,000 worth of merchandise.

I gave my mother a $100 giftcard for Christmas 2019 as she really likes curtains from Pier1. My mother did visit the store a couple of times once in Jan and again in March. After Covid was prevalent neither did she nor I visit any stores nor we got any information about the backruptcy/out of business gift card rules. The first week of July (July 5th Sunday) we both visited the store picked up (as her caretaker) several items along with a curtain and went to the counter only to find out that they don't take Giftcards anymore. I searched online a lot trying to find solution. The website does have GC balance check option and I checked it and it said it has $100. I called store several times after and also tried contacting online(long holds, call drops, and some generic message) was delivered for me. Any resolution of this matter will be very helpful. It is hard earned money and I hate to disappoint my mother who has spent a fortune at all Pier 1 stores.. gave us precious gifts and gift cards in the past. We would like to get some kind of a corporate check back. Usually they give some time to expire things.. may be due to covid they are expediting to out of business to cheat ppl of their GC etc. Today I found this site. Due to Covid we didn't step out much. Otherwise we wouldn't have waited that long.

I ordered a hanging chair and a stand on May 24th which requires a $169 ‘white glove’ delivery fee. There was no other option for delivery. The products finally arrived on July 17th and were dropped off on my covered porch. The delivery service said they did not work for Pier1 therefore no assembly of the product would be done and the packaging would not be taken away. I have tried to contact Pier1 and always get disconnected. I am extremely upset to be charged for a service that wasn’t performed!!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID and find that this resolution of a partial refund is satisfactory to me. However, I wanted to stress again that the delivery was made to an outside porch and wasn’t a COVID threshold issue. The delivery company said they never do assembly or takeaway of shipping packaging.

They are still open but will not allow a giftcard to be used in store or online.This is stealing. You were given cash for this giftcard less than a year ago and will not allow me to use it or give me my cash back.

I placed an order with a gift cord that I had before the date that Pier1 it’s not excepting gift cards anymore. It was close to $200. Weeks later I got an email that the order is canceled. I have no idea if I will get reimbursed for that gift card, if not I feel like that is totally not fair. Order ***. The wait time is estimated to be an hour if you call and I tried texting and it says they’re not accepting text

We are refunding our customer by home office check.

I placed an order with Pier 1.com on 6/10. (Order #***) On 6/17, I received an email stating that the order would be delayed for up to 21 days. It has now been 27 business days, and there has been no communication. I have tried to reach customer service at Pier 1 several times but it is unavailable. The order has not yet shipped and there have been no updates.

I have a merchandise card for $100, and they are no longer accepting it, even through the store in Freehold, NJ is still open, and you can purchase product with cash or credit card.

I just want to use my $100 merchandise card since the store is still open, even through they did file bankruptcy.

That's like stealing my money.

Placed an oneline order on June 29, 2020. I received an email confirmation the next day that said it was processing and that it may take 14-21 days to ship. The amount of $561.15 was pending in my account but has since gone away. Since that time, I have heard nothing. I have traced the order number given and their site says its not a valid number or zip code. Both are entered accurately per their order confirmation. I have made repeated attempts to contact the company both via chat and by phone. All attempts result in disconnection.

I am like many other Pier One customers who are trying to use our Merchandise credit to buy goods. I tried to place an order and.but when I tried to use my merchandise credit for $191.20 the order would not go thru with that payment. They are still in business in stores and online selling to customers but will not let us use our credit. I wanted to order goods but they will not accept their Merchandise credits or gift cards. They are still in business.

I have about $100.00 credit with Pier One. Yesterday I went to their store in Pittsburgh, PA 15215 and wanted to buy an item with my credit and they said they are going out of business and will not accept the credit I had received for a returned item sometime ago.

I placed online Order # *** on 5/30/20 for outdoor patio furniture totaling $688.96, to be delivered via White Glove In-Home Delivery Service. Delivery was estimated to take “up to 21 business days” due to covid. Status of this order on the Pier 1 tracking site is “Orders that are processing are being prepared to be sent to our delivery partner, Ryder Last Mile. You will be notified when the item leaves our warehouse, and when it arrives at the Ryder Last Mile hub.” I have heard nothing from Pier 1 nor Ryder. I have tried to contact both companies to discuss this matter with no success. Similar to other complaints on this site, my texts, email, telephone calls and online chat attempts with Pier 1 were either canceled, ignored, or left me waiting for hours at a time. Attempts to contact Ryder resulted in greater than 2 hours to speak to a specialist. Ryder message stated I could press 1 to leave a message for a specialist to call me back but the system did not allow me to leave a message. Ryder also suggested I use their Ryder.com/track to track my order. When I did this they had no record of the order.

I AM NOT SATIFY WITH THIS DECISION..I HONESTLY DONT THIS IS A FARE ACT ON CONSUMERS BUSSINESS. I DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A CERTAIN TIME TO USE MY GIFTCARD..I ALWAYS KNEW IT WAS ALWAYS VAILID,NO EXPIRATION DATE..

I have a $150 gift card for Pier1 - since their closing has coincided with the COVID19 closures, after multiple attempts, I have been unable to use it either online or in store. I have tried multiple times to discuss with the company, but have been unable to speak with a representative.

I went to a Pier 1 Imports store on Sunday, 07/19/2020.

I was told I could not use my two Pier 1 Imports gift cards because they were not honoring gift cards anymore.

I felt cheated. As stated on the back of the cards, "This merchandise credit has no expiration date."

To discuss a resolution, I called the number on the back of the gift cards, ***-***-*** and the representative directed me to their Customer Relations Department, ***-***-***, Option 4, Option 2.

When I called the Customer Relations Department, multiple times, I was not able to reach a live person.

There has been no resolution.

On June 21, 2020, I ordered a total of 4 items from Pier1.com. I ordered a table base, a glass table top, a papasan chair bowl and a papasan chair base. The order total was $463.75. My order reference number is #W1512896676-01. As stated in the email I received once I completed my online order, "WE ARE WORKING TO SHIP ORDERS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE, BUT PLEASE KNOW IT COULD TAKE UP TO 21 DAYS." Reading this message, I acknowledged that it could take up to 21 days to deliver my order. As of today, it has been 28 days and my order is still "processing" according to the Pier1 website. My credit card has not been charged, but in trying to reach and contact customer service to get information on my order, their customer service has been nearly impossible to reach. I have called repeatedly to get information on this and still no answer.

I am rejecting this response because: The e-mail response I received from Pier 1 is an apology but not a resolution. The excuse they are giving is that their Home Delivery team is on a delay and that I will receive an email when their delivery carrier receives my order. While I understand that they may be experiencing difficulties and delays, it has been almost 30 days and at this point I should at the very least have a date for when it will be sent to the carrier.

I am rejecting this response because:jPier One tried to come up with a solution to credit me for my $248.96 Merchandise card (with no expiration date) and my gift card for $25 (also with no expiration date). Because Pier One is going out of business and have filed for Bankruptcy protection, Pier One states they will not honor the cards, stating that it is a requirement of the bankruptcy plan. To do an end-run-around the BK judge's plan, Pier One advised me to place and order so they could discount the item and also do a refund. They promised to credit back the taxes and shipping fees also to get to the total amount of my credits. Yet now, with Pier One going out of business, I received notice that there would be a delay in processing, therefore, it follows that the shipping will be delayed also.Pier One has closed almost all its stores and will be closing the corporate office. If you call corporate, as per the store managers and ***, the assigned resolution representative, that hold time is approximately 2 hrs! I was coerced into placing an order to get a discount then Id need to pay the difference. Here, *** set out a charge for $407, where the amount that she said would be charged would be $283, and not until the product shipped would that lower charge be applied. Now Im told that the order cannot be cancelled because the POLICY ( of a now defunct corporation) does not permit cancellation withing 7 days of shipping. I received notice that shipment would be delayed and *** informed me of the same when I demanded the order be cancelled, via email I sent earlier today, to the address that Revdex.com provided. However, there is NO set ship date. Moreover, *** informed me and written notices stated that it would Likely be 3 weeks before shipping. Now, that I cancelled, PO tells me that they cant cancel based on shippping. This is bogus reasoning. Additionally, based on the plausibility that shipment would not arrive, or would be damaged, there will be ability to access corporate to address, as the wait period suggests they are not interested in taking care of the customers (2 hr hold times) and/or PO will be completely shut down before being able to address. PO further states that refunds and returns will not be provided or accepted. Based on POs flawed approach, I ve have informed PO if they try to charge my card for any product, or are successful, I will dispute as fraudulentFurther if they do not cancel this order (my losing almost $300 in credits in the process), I will contact the Bankrupcy court regarding my claim and how PO tried to circumvent the BK judge's orders to NOT honor customer merchandise and gift cards by requiring customer to place and order and do a "Hail Mary" on shipping, as could be expected since for all intent and purpose are shut down. Please advise. Respectfully, ***

I placed an order during their going-out-of-business sale. I ordered 8 chairs. 2 out of the 8 arrived damaged (completely broken and unusable or fixable). I have tried multiple avenues to get in contact with the company to issue an exchange but cannot reach the company at all. I tried their recommended online chat, I've emailed and I've called every phone number I can get my hands on.

On June 25, 2020, I placed an online order for 5 items with a $50 Pier1 gift card, order # ***. I was advised via order confirmation email that delivery could take up to 21 days. As of July 16, 2020 I have received 4 of the 5 items. The delivery status of the order is shipped with a price of $0.00 for the outstanding item. I checked the website, 7/17/2020, to see if the item in question is in stock and available to ship to my zip code and it is. I don't understand why I have not received the item. The item (#***) is a Pink Champagne 5 wick candle. I tried to resolve the matter via online chat. Got all the way down to #2 in the queue on two separate attempts and was notified that no one was available to chat and I should try back later. I called my local store to see if I could use the gift card balance to purchase another candle in store, but stores won't accept the gift card and the gift card can no longer be used on Pier1.com. This is THEFT plain and simple. Pier 1 should not be allowed to steal customers' hard earned money and especially not during a pandemic. I want the item shipped to me asap or I want my $28.44 back.

I am grateful for the prompt response but Pier 1 has asked that I be patient. I've already been patient. Now I need my refund in a timely fashion.

I have some Pier 1 merchandise credit $76.40. I got Pier 1 was closing on Jun, so I ordered some items online at the end of Jun, but when I checked out, the website didn't accept my gift card. I tried to contact with the customer service for three times, but every time the waiting time was more than 1.5hours. So I decided to go to the local store in Cumming, GA, the staff told me the credit could no longer be used and let me contact their customer service firstly.
