I placed a order using my gift card before the July 2nd date, for whatever reason they cancelled the order after July 2nd and now they won’t accept my gift card in the store. Now I am out of 50 dollars and I completed the steps I needed too before the deadline. I want my money back

Seems I am not the only one that has this problem. Pier 1 is not accepting gift cards anymore and I was not aware of this. I have attempted unsuccessfully at reaching multiple people in their customer support center as well as regional and directors at the store level. I have $370 in gift cards that I am told I can no longer use. Due to Covid-19 we have not been shopping nor were we aware the Pier1 stores were going out of business. On a whim, we went into the store in Cary on July 4th and were told the gift cards were no longer being accepted on Jul 3rd. A day late and $370 out of our pocket. I would like to re-coup this money as I feel this very wrong. Appreciate your help!!

The response back from the business was that I would need to take Pier 1 to Small claims court? Really...this is just an unacceptable response - Most individuals just can't go to small claims court or understand that process. this needs to be escalated and resolved easier than this. They took my money and are now refusing to allow me to use my gift cards, allow me a store credit, or return cash to me for the gift cards - I don't think my request is unreasonable.

I have been a platinum card member and have spent a lot at Pier 1. I received a gift card right before shortly before the covid shutdown. I attempted to use but stores were closed. I called and was
Told I could use when they reopened. When out of isolation and return to MN I went to a store In June that was shown to be open (many miles) it was Closed. I called another store and Was told I could use card until July 5th. Placed An order Right away Online as the store was a drive and it would not accept my gift card. So several days later
Traveled to another store out of the way and was told
TOO LATE! missed it by days. Was treated rudely
When I tried to explain.....
what a horrible way to honor your best customers!
To be told false info twice and treated rude and loose my
Gift card purchased by my sister with little
Money to give!!!’ What a waste of a good store. Gifts cards are legally
Not Allowed to expire.... the store was still open!!!!!

I have a 75.00 gift card that I was unable to use. I tried to use it at the store this week, even when they were getting a whole new truckload of items in the store. I was told that it couldn't be used I haven't been able to shop before July 2nd due to covid. And most things were sold out online.

After the reopening of the Pier One stores after the Covid-19 quarantines, there was no information that I received either via email or at the store that I visited that let me know our gift cards would not be usable after a certain date. I even went to a store and used part of my gift card and NO ONE informed me to make sure that I use the remainder by a certain date, nor were there Any signs near the register or in the store informing people of this situation. If a store is still open for business there is no reason the gift card should not be taken when it is considered like having cash. This is equivalent to stealing from the customer!

It has been three weeks since my order was placed (order ***) and it has not shipped. You cannot reach them by phone, email or online chat. They keep lowering prices on items, not lowering the price you paid, and not shipping any items blaming Covid which is an easy scapegoat. I want a refund or my items shipped immediately. Thanks.

I have placed an order on 5/24/2020 and have yet to receive the items ordered and have not received any shipping information or updates. I have tried calling to hear that shipping can take up to 21 days but we are well beyond that period of time. I have tried calling multiple times but get disconnected each time. I spent a total of $328.28 on these items that I have not received.

I ordered $2000 worth of product from Pier1 (online) and May 30th. My credit card has been billed. I have tried calling three different times, waiting up to an hour and 45 minutes, to only have my call disconnected. I've tried their chat feature, waiting for over 20 minutes. When the chat feature said I was 2nd in queue, it disconnected, stating that there were no agents available to chat. I tried calling Ryder (their shipping agents) and they said they can't see anything until the actual furniture arrives to their warehouse. Pier 1 states that it will take 14-21 business days to ship items. Today is the 31st business day and I have yet to receive any information. I am beyond frustrated.

I have communicated with Stephanie via email, who is monitoring my order and will let me know once it ships. I appreciate her help.

RE: Item *** On May 15-2020. I was charged $438.82 for a floral shaped 6x9 rug from Pier 1. The rug was to be brought into my home by a delivery someone. I absolutely did not agree for anyone to come into the home for delivery. Our home has been on lock down due to the Pandemic. My father had a heart attack ( his health has been poor) I could and would never agree to anyone coming into the home and carry germs that could hurt/kill my father. I refused the rug and delivery during this pandemic. Pier 1 acknowledged the rug. However, kept my money that I work hard for as you do. Pier 1 has the item and my money.
Poor ethical business practice. During the Covid-19 our Governor stated that no one was to come into the home to pass on illness which would cause death. I have called put on hold I was the 200th caller, down to 1 caller and said cant take call. I have written and emailed both with no response. This company is terrible how they handle this.

We refunded our customer on 7/14/2020 and sent an email advising it can take 3-5 business days for her Visa to reflect the refund.

I used a gift card to purchase items from Pier 1 in mid June and received an email that my items had shipped. When my order arrived part of the order was missing. I checked my email to see that a merchandise credit had been issued but was no longer valid since their policy for use of e-credit was expired after July 2. After trying to reach Pier 1 on this issue, it seems they are impossible to reach. The text number they gave to reach them immediately responded with "not receiving incoming text messages." When on hold to speak to a representative I am disconnected.

I ordered 3 pieces of furniture from pier 1’s website on 5/27/20. I paid $2,472.35 (this included $169 for a delivery charge). The order # is ***. On my account on their website it says all 3 items were sent to the carrier on 6/8/20 and my order is complete. My credit card was billed $2,472.35 on 6/9/20. Today is 7/13/20 (47 days since I ordered & 35 days since they said they sent it to the delivery company they use) and I still have not received anything from them or any explanation as to where my furniture is. It is almost impossible to get ahold of anyone at pier 1. I tried the txt & chat numerous times but neither one worked. I called & waited on hold for about 2 hours and the person was unable to tell me where my furniture is, only that 2 items (missing still 1) were sent to the delivery company on 6/8 (35 days ago) and the other one will be sent when they can get to it. I called the delivery company and twice now they have told me they don’t have anything. I don’t know what else to do at this point. Will someone please me?

I ordered an outdoor couch cushion in Ivory, and was told it could take up to 21 days to process. This was understandable considering the fact that the company is going out of business. Surprisingly, I received that package from them within 2.5 weeks, which was nice. However, upon opening the package, I find a Salmon/pink colored cushion instead of Ivory. I tried to contact customer relations through the number provided on their website, was on hold for 2+ hours, only for the call to be dropped. I found two other phones, which immediately disconnected as the Customer Service offices were "closed" even though I was well within the normal business hours... 2 PM CST on a weekday. I have also attempted to use the live chat feature, make it to number 1-5 in the queue only to have it disconnect and tell me no one is available. When I contacted my local store I was told that they were not able to help and to just "keep trying" even though the offices claim to be closed. I am at my wits end trying to find someone to talk to to either replace the cushion with the correct item or to have it refunded.

Ordered wicker furniture set May 28th and the order was charged to my account when they supposedly sent the order early June. Finally received part of the furniture last Tuesday. Very expensive order and the corner piece of the sectional is missing. Sectional looks ridiculous without the corner piece. Telephoned pier one last Wednesday to inform them of the missing piece as the order says completed on line and the shipping company informed me that they are still waiting on one piece of my order to arrive. Hours spent waiting on hold to speak with a representative that informs me that they have sent the entire order and that if the carrier does not find the missing piece then I am out of luck because there are no corner pieces of this set left. Funny they are selling the exact same sectional online still only much cheaper now . The representative stated that she would try to locate my missing piece of furniture and would call me back. She stayed that if she could not reach me by phone she would email me. Of course now 6 days later no return call and no email. So disgusted that I have been charged for a full set of furniture (long before any furniture arrived) and I have a sectional without a corner piece and a damaged chair also. I was a loyal customer for years. This is fraud! They should be held accountable.

I am rejecting this response because: nothing has been solved yet. They are still “trying to locate the missing piece of furniture” and could not provide me with a timeframe of when I might hear back. I have spent hours on hold to talk to them so far which is ridiculous to have to do. Until this is actually resolved I will consider this case open.

I have a $25 gift card and have been told that the money was recently transferred to another gift card, which I never did. I wasn’t able to use the gift card. I cannot get through to customer relations through chat or phone.

Placed online order on 5/23/20 of qty 3 of item #*** dinnerware sets. $116.95 each. I received qty 2 on 6/17/20. The remainder of qty. 1 still shows in pier1 system as "ready to go" and has a UPS tracking # assigned to it, for over a month now, UPS has no record of this until received by Pier1. My contact attempts by phone and chat have been unsuccessful. Please note on 6/17 I was charged for the entire order in the amount $378.04 I would prefer to receive my order in it's entirety or a least an update of when it will ship. Thank you for your assistance.

We ordered 3 umbrella bases for a total of about $300. The website shows 3 tracking numbers. One was delivered damaged (the website shows it delivered), another shows the shipment was damaged and gives no further information. The 3rd shows it’s been in Savannah GA for more than a month. The order was placed late May.

In mid June 2020 I read an article stating Pier 1 Imports was closing and gift cards needed to be redeemed before July2, 2020. In June, I attempted to call and find out the balance on my gift card and could not reach anyone so I went online to buy items to use up the balance of my gift card and it would not accept my card. I've been trying to get in touch with someone, anyone for days!

Today I finally reached someone who told me my balance was $49.03 but told me it could no longer be used. She also said everyone was having trouble getting through and not just today. I went online and search again for some way to contact Customer Service but with no luck. There is a Coronavirus stay in place for me because of health concerns and the fact Pier 1 Imports made it virurually impossible to use the gift cards during the final days is WRONG! It's not right that they get to keep my $49.03!!

I ordered a dining set from pier 1. I paid a $169 white glove delivery fee and the table was left in the box to be assembled and moved from my garage into my house. One of the chairs that was delivered arrived broken. Pier 1 is not answering its phone, email, or online chat to resolve this issue.

I have made three orders. Two have arrived and were grossly improperly packed. Literally 14 plates stacked in a box twice as big as the plates with no packaging. The same with the second. 8 plates and 2 bowls were destroyed in shipment. In a third order, Pier One says deliveries are expected to take 21 business days. I'm at 25 business days and it has still not shipped. There is no possible way to get through to customer service. Every time I use chat, I wait in the queue until I am number one and then get "Cancelled: there are no agents available to chat with you right now." When I call, I can spend the entire day waiting and, after business hours, I just get a busy signal. I have no way of communicating my issues with this firm to resolve these issues.

I placed an order for 2 armchairs on June 6, 2020 via their online website. I had to select their "In Home White Glove Service" as no other option was available, bringing my final total to $1063.49. The White Glove Service indicated that it would be approximately 14 days until arrival of my purchased chairs. It is now July 9, 2020 and there has been no update on my order with regard to shipping. That's 24 business days, longer than the 21 business days they advertise it is taking due to longer response times. I have tried calling their customer service lines (all with a 1+ hour wait time), and doing the live chat (which isn't working). This is unacceptable. It's been over a month of waiting for my order, and I can no longer return these items for a refund.

I am rejecting this response because: While Pier 1 customer service did reach out to me regarding my order, they were unable to give me an updated time frame on when my overdue order would ship, nor have they prioritized my order (please see attachment to view the email thread). I have now been waiting 28 business days for my order to ship. Pier 1's website and customer service line indicate that orders will take between 14-21 business days to ship and that time frames accounts for their delays. Furthermore, the Pier 1 customer service representative misstated my order date (March 20 when my order was instead placed June 6). Their inattentiveness to my order, along with a generic response about "We are doing the best we can with the current situation of COVID and after filing for Chapter 11" is unacceptable and a disservice to customers who are just trying to get their orders fulfilled in a reasonable time frame. I have waited beyond Pier 1's stated time frame - I would like my order prioritized to ship and be delivered ASAP.
