I placed an online order totaling $53.70 on June 16th, using the remaining amount on my store gift card, as well as my credit card. On June 25th, I received two emails, one informing me my order had finally shipped, and the other stating a partial refund of $25.26 was applied to my gift card.

(A) Firstly, item #*** -- which was missing from my shipment -- cost me $26.99 before tax, so I should have been credited more to my gift card.

(B) Secondly, after receiving these emails, I looked up item #*** on the store's website and noticed it was still available for shipment to my zip code. I added the item to my shopping cart to see if it would be automatically removed, as the website does for unavailable items, but it stayed in my cart. If it's still available, then why wasn't the item included in my shipment?

(C) And if the item is truly unavailable, why did it take a week to find out? I don't want to be stuck in the same situation where I buy something, thinking it's in stock, only to find out much later that whatever I bought can't be delivered. Per Pier 1, gift cards won't be accepted as a form of payment after July 2nd, so I have little to no time to use the amount I was initially refunded ...or whatever amount I may be refunded with my next order. If they had just refunded my credit card, timing wouldn't be an issue.

(D) Furthermore, now I have to pay AT LEAST $8 in shipping to even use the amount I was refunded. I didn't have to pay the outrageous $12 in shipping when I placed my order on June 16th, because I bought enough to meet the free shipping promotion for orders over $49. I should have been given a free shipping voucher or additional credit to cover the shipping cost for my next order.

(E) Lastly, I was unable to reach anyone in Customer Service to discuss these issues. I tried calling the provided telephone number. Upon being told I had a 4-hour wait with no call-back service option, I hung up and tried the online chat instead. There were over 100 people ahead of me in line, but by the time I reached the front of the queue an hour later, I received the following message:

"Status: Canceled
There are no agents available to chat with you right now. Please try again later."

When I tried the online chat again, I received the same abrupt message at the front of the line. I'm beyond frustrated another hour of my time was wasted, with no resolution in sight.

I have been trying to get through Pier 1 customer service about an exiting order I placed on May 25 2020 order#*** in the amount of $949.95. Every time I try to get a hold of them I’ll have to wait for 4 hours by phone and when I try the chat room I’ll wait for an hour nothing it tells me I am number ## in the quo and then no agents available. It has been the same for the past week in a half and I am trying to figure out what’s going on. I would like to get a refund but there is no way to get a hold of any body. This has been a headache since is a lot of money I put in for my order. I will never want to put my wife and myself through this situation again.

I am rejecting this response because: they have emailed me saying exactly what their website says “ Due to COVID-19, shipments may be delayed. WE ARE WORKING TO SHIP ORDERS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE, BUT PLEASE KNOW IT COULD TAKE UP TO 21 DAYS.“ My purchase was made 25th May 2020, is the 30th of June is more then 21 days its 35 days and my order status says processing there has been no updates and if it wasn’t because Revdex.com I would be still not able to reach Pier1 and I would’ve consider my order to be lost, to prevent that I want to cancel my order get my refund before I lose $949.95.

I ordered a hanging chair and stand over a month ago. Every time I have called to inquire about delivery (after waiting over two hours to speak to someone on the phone) they always tell me the same thing-it’s left warehouse and I should receive it shortly. I feel like I’m getting the run-around. DO NOT order anything from this company. You probably won’t receive it and if you do, you will wait a very long time for it and if you have questions about it, expect long hold times. Customer service is terrible.

I placed an online order with Pier 1 on May 29, 2020 and was required to purchase White Glove Delivery ($169) because it is furniture. The estimated delivery was June 14. As of today, June 24, I'm still waiting to receive that package. And any attempts to find someone to help me track it at Pier 1 is impossible. The order tracker has a tracking number through MXD Group (carrier), but according to the carrier it hasn't even shipped. If I call the MXD Groups phone number, it is a failed number and drops. If I call Pier 1 they tell me I have a wait time of over an hour to talk with someone, no matter what time of day I call. Their chat feature if unavailable. It feels as if they have gladly charged my credit card but are providing no follow through to deliver the items.

I am rejecting this response because: They have not "provided insight." They've done nothing but to say basically "just wait." They've made zero effort to actually provide any tracking information. The Pier 1 screen I have access to has a shipping number, but they say there is no ability to track. They claim the furniture is in route, but how would they know if they can't track it? When I look up the tracking number with the carrier that Pier 1 provides on my purchase screen , it says it still hasn't shipped. I show them this information, and they just won't speak to it. Essentially, they are ignoring my concerns. And I still haven't received my shipment.

I ordered a Papasan chair and cushion on 06/02/2020, it was supposed to be delivered within two weeks. On 06/09/2020, I received an email that my order was delayed but that I would be notified once it left the distribution center and was on its way to the delivery company for their white glove delivery option. It is now 06/24/2020 and still no updates. I still want my delivery as I have been wanting one of the chairs for ages but I am worried it will never come as there have been zero updates since the 9th and it is still “processing.”

Company emailed and said deliveries are made within thirty days except for remote areas and it has been 28 days and my order still has no updates. I am in a major city and usually get shipments quickly, the only issue is that Pier 1 still has not processed the order so it is still sitting in the warehouse, assuming they even still have the items in stock. I am beginning to think I may never see my order since they will not provide concrete, helpful responses. All I want is my order, and sooner rather than never.

It has now been a month and a half, and I still have no updates. One of the customer service representatives claimed that my order left their warehouse the day after I ordered it which seems impossible to me as they are having severe delays for everyone and I highly doubt that mine would be ready that fast, plus the order is still listed as “PROCESSING” in their own system, not shipped or in transit or any of that like it should be after it, you know, ships. Furthermore, she tried to put it off on the delivery company, Ryder’s Last Mile, saying that they have it and it’s probably still on their truck.... for over a month. So I checked their that company’s system and it says they’re still waiting to receive the package.. which makes sense because it hasn’t left Pier 1’s warehouse. Can someone please take care of this and put my order together and ship it? This is getting ridiculous, it should not be that difficult to ship an order.

I spoke with a person who identified his name as the initial “D” who stated that the transaction went through from the store.

We agreed that I would give the refund TEN business days, today is the eleventh business day.

The telephone number, chat nor messenger work to reach the company. I cannot find a corporate address.

I placed an online order on May 22, 2020. Pier 1 divided the order in multiple shipments. I received two separate deliveries, but am still missing two items from my entire purchase. As of today, June 23, 2020, I have still not received the rest of my order. I have attempted to contact Pier 1 numerous times per their site’s instructions. Their online chat includes a wait time of approximately 15-17 minutes before dropping and “canceling” the request to speak with a customer service representative. All available telephone numbers include a recorded message indicating the “telephone number is busy” that ultimately ends in a dropped call. I have waited a dozen times online to speak to someone through their online chat and tried calling the numbers numerous times. I would just like to speak with someone from customer service to find out the status of the remainder of my order as it was a matching outdoor/lounge set. I also now have cushions bought specifically for the chairs I have not yet received.

I placed order number *** and ordered the quantity of 2 bowls, item number *** in turquoise. I received two bowls in WHITE. I have repeatedly tried to contact Pier 1 via email, through the 800 customer service number and via the on line chat per the instructions outlined on their web site. Every time I wait in Queue for hours on the customer service number and via the on line chat, the system drops me and I have to go back through the queue again. This is happening repeatedly. The customer service phones have at least a 2 hour wait and the chats have been over an hour each time I have been in queue, only to be dropped off the system or the call. I cannot connect with anyone to remedy this situation.

Impossible to get through to a customer service representative. Online chat has you wait sometimes more than 45 minute to an hour in a que and then ALWAYS cancels and says there was not representative available. Have been place on hold more that two hours multiple times and then the phone disconnects. I place two orders 1 day apart several weeks ago and wanted to have them placed on the same order because I am NOT going to pay $169 for shipping TWICE. Especially for in itsy bitsy end table that costs me $50. The Covid excuse is getting really old. I don't care that they are going out of business or not. I have the right to discuss my $900 purchase with them! I am very disappointed with the company that I have spent a lot of money with over the past 30 years.

I see that you spoke with an associate today and they explained the scenario to you.

We can only refund one of the delivery fees if the two deliveries are delivered at the same time. If they are delivered separately, there will still be two delivery charges. If they are delivered together, as soon as this is confirmed by the carrier, one of the fees will be refunded to the original form of payment.

I am rejecting this response because: I spoke to Ryder Last Mile today and they said I needed to contact Pier 1 about all of this. How will they inform you that my pieces were delivered together? How is it your Reps don't know the phone number to Ryder Last Mile! This has been an incredibly frustrating experience with a company that I have shopped with for more than 30 years. There is no excse for this exceptionally poor customer service. Will I have to spend countless hours trying to contact you again to see if my account was credited? And when should I call? Days weeks after my delivery?

I made a purchase May 28 and have not received order. Phone communication disconnects constantly. Their SMS and Chat options show not available always. I went physically to a store and was told they xou assist. Pier1 charged my credit card and I have yet to receive my order.

I ordered two different items from Pier 1, order#*** on 5/24 to date still says in processing, tried for days and hours to contact someone at customer service only to have call dropped or cancelled by online chat. My other order #*** on 5/24 shipped and received only received 7 of the 9 order curtains, again no response from cust. serv. so I ordered and paid for 2 more which I've received but am do a refund for the missing items.

I order two chairs from Pier 1, both were recently delivered on different dates. The first order included all parts but the second order did not include the legs or bolts to secure the legs. The section where they were located in the first order was empty/open and no legs could be found within any part of the order.

I have attempted to contact Pier 1 via the numbers on their website, disconnected after on hold for 30 minutes, via chat online which disconnected me after waiting for 20 minutes twice, and text which said the number did not work. I am just looking to have the legs and screws sent to sit in our chair.

I placed an online order on May 20, 2020 for a table and 2 dining chairs. I received the table but not the chairs. I was notified that my chairs were out for deliver several times and finally received a ups update that they would be delivered today, June 22. I only received one of the chairs but ups says that my entire order was delivered. I tried contacting customer service several times via phone, but no one answers and I am unable to speak to anyone. I am disconnected after waiting on the phone and going through all of the menu options. I contacted UpS and they said my item was returned to the sender. I would like this resolved and at this point I would just like a refund for my item.

I ordered several items on June 10th and when UPS showed up with the order it was all broken, you could hear it clanging around in the box. The UPS driver said it would be best to refuse the order and he will take it back. I have since tried to contact Pier 1 relentlessly to see if they could either send another shipment of the order I placed before stock runs out and/or refund my original purchase order. Online chatting results in a queue of over 100 people and it narrows after about 20 minutes and when it gets down to 1, it cancels the chat. Same thing with the phone call, saying the wait is over 3 hours and eventually drops the call.

We placed an order on May 29th. Have been trying to track the order ever since. Have called on the customer service number many times but keep getting the message that the telephone line is busy and the calls drops shortly after. Have tried chat as well but can never reach a person. Today I walked into the exton store but the manager at the store is not able to help either. Says she cannot pull the order since it was placed online. I tried texting the number on their website but it says that are not receiving incoming texts at this number. Wondering if we will ever receive our order and how we will get an update on the status of an order. The order value is over $1000 and it's not a small amount to us.

I ordered a cabinet from pier one imports on May 11, 2020. The item shows processing but has never shipped. I cannot reach anyone via email, chat, phone. I’ve also called the delivery service as this item is “white glove delivery“ and they cannot locate the item either. Checked with my local store which opened on May 22 and they informed me they cannot check on the item because corporate had shut down their ability to do so. Please help!

I bought a platform bed from Pier 1 on 2/27/2020. The package arrived without instructions, so I contacted Pier 1 to send me the instructions to put the bed together. After chatting on the website of Pier1, they informed me that they did not have the instructions on file. I requested a refund and full coverage for the costs of delivery for the refund (3 packages weighing 70lbs each). They agreed and so I packed the items and UPS picked them up on 3/18/2020. I received notification from UPS that my packages were delivered to the sender on 3/23/2020. I have been waiting for a refund for the original amount that I paid for the platform bed, which is $418.07. Since the company has taken almost 3 months to issue my return, I am concerned that I will not receive the refund I deserve. During the past 3 months, I have been contacting Pier 1 via Chat and phone calls, but the wait times are exceedingly long; sometimes I am on hold for more than 1 hour only for the call to drop or the chat to end. This issue is not resolved and I do not know where else to go and what else to do. Now that they are going out of business, I am not sure when and/or if I will be receiving a refund for the item. It is evident that Pier 1 does not value their customers and I am very dissatisfied with this company and their customer service.

I placed order # *** back on May 20th which was before the going out of business announcement. I ordered 3 pieces that are used for a Swingasan chair (chair, stand and cushion). I also paid for white glove delivery which costs $169 as that was the only option for purchasing this item. I have tried many times to call the customer service number and it either disconnects right away or says that there is a 3+ hour wait. I have also tried the online chat and it eventually just goes to "no agents available" and disconnects. My credit card has been charged for the full order however I have yet to receive the stand. I am unable to get any type of order tracking or status on the remaining item; I would like an update as to status of the remaining item or a refund from Pier One if they are no longer able to fulfil the order. Additionally, if this is the case I would expect a refund of the $169 delivery fee as well.

I purchased a barstool from Pier One that was priced at 142.49 supposedly on sale.I was also charged taxes of $21.81 for a total of $164.30. They then added a whopping $169.00 for a White Glove delivery that I did not request and do not want. They have billed me $333.30 which is ridiculous and unwise due to Covid19. I am a senior who dont allow in home services at this time.This is a small bar stool that doesnt require extra effort to receive safely. What percent of this "white glove" service is being received by PIer One?

I ordered a piece of furniture and they unexpectedly added on a white glove delivery service that is more than the cost of my order. Their phone lines have wait times greater than 2hours and the live chat makes you wait 15 minutes and then disconnects you when you finally reach the top of the line. There is absolutely no way to get resolution on my order.
