I had ordered numerous items online that all say they have been delivered. I received many of those items broken and some I never received. I have tried reaching out over phone only to be hung up on. I have tried the online chat and made it all the way through the queue only to be given a message that no one can assist me.

I can't reach anyone in customer service via phone or chat at Pier 1 to discuss a dresser I purchased and received yesterday. I'm assembling it, but I can't finish because it's missing key parts (3 drawer sliders). The piece is essentially useless without the parts and I'm concerned that I can't reach anyone at the company to discuss. The phone lines are busy (they don't even ring) and the chat says you're like # 300-something in line and then cuts you off after a while. I understand that the pandemic has turned everyone's lives upside down, but not offering customer service is not OK. At least have an email for customers to send in questions or concerns!

I purchased a coffee table and an end table from Pier One and had it shipped to store. After stores closed due to COVID they sent an email (months after the order was placed) saying they were cancelling the order. I reordered the items online and had them shipped to my house. A package was delivered today that is not mine. It has my address on the front but the items are not what I ordered and the packing slip is someone else’s. Customer service is impossible to reach. I spent a lot of money on these items. And I either want a refund or my items. This is ridiculous.

I ordered an outdoor sectional sofa and the pieces are different sizes and do not fit properly. I have tried to reach out to customer service daily for weeks. They are closed, chat does not work I was 333 in line and when it was my turn no associate was available, the email is not even available to get my problem fixed. At this point I want to return it.

I placed an order with Pier 1 for the papasan chair pieces at 40% off May 3rd. I was only able to order the base and cushion with UPS/USPS shipping while the top was only available with white glove service. I planned to order the chair bowl separately via when shipping was available or through calling customer service. I still haven't received my first order and they said things have been delayed but I have not had an update in a few weeks. I have also tired several times in the past week to contact customer service via phone and online chat. Only to be hung up on and told there are no more representatives when my number gets under 20. Now I heard that the business will be going bankrupt and I fear I will never receive my product or complete the order for the bowl. I shouldn't have to pay $169 for shipping when the product is only $50. I do understand that we are going through a crisis but I should not have to call and be hung up on.

I am rejecting this response because: They have contacted me stating that I am unable to purchase the last piece to the papasan chair set of which I was able to purchase the first two pieces with standard shipping unless I pay $169 for white glove service. They stated there is no guarantee that the stores will open or any other shipping service will be provided. I am now unable to return my first purchase as they stated all returns are final though that was not stated until the package was shipped on Friday May 22 2020. I ordered the package on May 3rd, 2020 which stated returns were accepted. I just want to purchase the last piece with having to pay an outrageous price.

I tried to order a $70 papasan chair on their website and the only shipping option was in home delivery for $169. Meaning they will unbox it and put the furniture together for you. I could see this being useful for some things, but for a papasan chair that requires zero assembly this is an outrageous and unnecessary charge. Especially with the pandemic, I do not want people entering my home unnecessarily.

When I tried to contact pier 1 to get this delivery option removed, I was unable to reach them at all. Their customer service phone numbers only work about 25% of the times and when I did get through I was put on hold for over an hour and then hung up on. I then tried their online chat, I was put in a queue of 300+ people and waited in the queue for 40+ minutes 4 separate times, every time I got to 5th in line in the queue, I was kicked out and told to try again, then placing me behind yet another 300+ people. I have tried sending them messages on Facebook as well and receive no response

Similar to other posts here, I recently ordered a set of patio furniture. However instead of receiving the table, I received a box full of pillows and pillow cases that I didn't order. The table never arrived. I cannot reach them via chat or phone - chat times out and says no agents are available, phone is either busy, hangs up on me, or says there is a 3+ hour wait for a representative.

Ordered 2 candles for Buy One Get One Free - one of the candles was cancelled, no reason given. Wanted to pick another scent due to the sale and now only getting one for the price of two. Attempted numerous times to contact Pier One but wait time is over 3 hours on the phone or I lose call. Attempted chat on line service and wait with over 350 in queue only to then get bumped out because no agent is available. Also posted a message on Facebook with no response. I need to cancel an order I placed before the stores all closed. We ordered a dining table and the table arrived the day the stores closed and they didnt let me pick up my table. Now the stores are still closed, can't pick up my table and I am making forced payments on the credit card we opened with the store. I want to cancel the order and get my money back. No one at Pier 1 costumer service to help resolve this issue.

I am attempting to return some items I purchased online from Pier One. When the items were sent they came with no information. I have no email confirmation, no receipt in the box that arrived. I have tried to contact them but there is no answer. I have tried live chat, and several different phone numbers. I was charged through Paypal but I have no idea how I can send these items back and no way of contacting them.

White Glove delivery is 169.00, yet their website states all white glove delivery as "In-Home Delivery: Delivered in about 14 days. Placed in your room of choice." How can they charge that when they are not to be coming into your house and they clearly stated that on their website due to COVID-19 it prohibited. Its price gouging too!!! Its absurd 169 for a service they are not =even able to perform. Yet the product is less cost than the actual item your ordering and infact it says anything over 49 is free delivery too. it all the way around unethical.

I am rejecting this response because:I was told to see if they had the left rolled arm chair at our local store in Bluffton, SC and that they representative who contacted me from Pier1 last Thursday said if they had it to purchase it and she would call me the day after Memorial Day to see if I was able to get the chair and if so she would be calling me back on Tuesday to then cancel the one ordered online. I have never heard from her to this day which is Wednesday. I have since tried to recontact Pier1 thru our local store here in Bluffton and also the head quarters in Texas. I am unable to get any help from either Pier1 in Bluffton they said I need to speak to headquarters or the person who called last week and then never called back and I can’t once again get thru to anyone at the 866 number. So as of now the credit for what has been bought online sits waiting for someone from Puer1 to refund my money.

I purchased the “Truman Tufted Cocktail Ottoman” at store #*** Address: *** on March 10,2020. I have tried contacting customer service several times to figure out how I can return this item but keep getting a busy signal. Today I tried the Live Assistance option I waiting in a queue of over 300 ahead of me. Every time it reached 0 I was put into another queue and finally I received this message... “Status: Canceled There are no agents available to chat with you right now. Please try again later.”

I ordered an item from Pier 1 on April 3, 2020. On April 8,2020 I received an email telling me they are working with limited staff.
Then on April 22, 2020 I received another email saying it shipped. On my credit card was a charge for $16.57 on April 23, 2020. I was given a tracking number ***. Also on this email it gave an estimated delivery date of 5/22/20. This keeps changing every day on that email. You call and they say they are not taking any calls, chats, texts or emails. Here it is May 18, 2020 and still no delivery. I am very frustrated! Other companies are not having these problems. Just maybe taking a little longer but not like this. The merchandise refund and the shipping refund are entered separately. Our customer received a refund for $11.22 and another for $5.35, which total $16.57. Because these are entered separately, they may not populate to her account at the same time and it takes longer to be viewed on an online statement. If there are any questions, we recommend she contact her banking institution for confirmation.

The company has shut down effective means of communication for customers to get in touch with the company about their product. The company is also generating multiple tracking numbers with UPS and not giving those numbers to the customer. UPS and Pier 1 have marked my order as complete because the missing item has its own tracking number and only Pier 1 has access to it. They will not answer their phones or online chat. I am unable to receive the rest of my order because of their negligence:

I was falsely charged for a "white glove service" AFTER putting in my credit card information. When I called to cancel the order, I was on hold for a collective 17 hours over the course of 5 days, and each time the call was cut out. When I tried "chat service" it was never available. I tried to contact through social media and have not heard from the company. My bank cannot dispute the charges.

I ordered an outdoor furniture set 15 days ago. I have not been able to get ahold of anyone via phone, chat, twitter. My order has not shipped, the credit card charge is gone. I need to find out whether my item is being delivered and when. Also, the item went down in price after I bought it and qualified under their price match. I gave them a calculation of the new price.

I am rejecting this response because: they sent me a message last week stating that they will contact the warehouse supervisor and I have heard nothing since. The item has not shipped after a month, there is no pending charge on my credit card, and no evidence online that they've price matched it (this was bought when they were price matching before bankruptcy was declared)

I am rejecting this response because: after 5 weeks they canceled the order after confirming one week ago it would ship any day. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING else from this company.

I have been trying to reach Pier 1 with regards to an online order I had made last month. I understand that there are shipping issues relating to the COVID crisis, but if the order cannot be fulfilled, I would at least like to receive an update or provide me an option to cancel my order. From what I am seeing, the only option I have to cancel my order is to wait 20+ min to talk to a chat representative online and over the phone. There isn't even an email for me to formally submit my cancellation.

Please allow me to cancel my order PIer 1 if you are seeing this complaint.

I placed an order on May 4th, 2020 for 6 Dinner Plates, 6 salad plates and 6 dinner bowls. On May 15th, I received 2 boxes from UPS with 6 dinner bowls and 6 dinner plates. FOUR of the 6 dinner plates were broken, and TWO of the 6 dinner bowls were broken. These 2 boxes were literally thrown into a very large UPS box with no bubble wrap of any sort, I could hear pieces of dishes as soon as I picked up the box. I have NOT received any of the 6 salad plates. I have called the Customer Service phone numbers 12 different times. I am either hung up on or can't get through at all. I am very frustrated and disappointed. I have purchased many items in the past from the Pier 1 Imports store and never had any problems.
