I purchased an item through PoshmarkImmediately upon receiving the item from the seller I contacted the seller through the link in Poshmark because of two issues--one, the fabric on the inner lining of the coat, which touches on the neck is pilling, and two, the model of the item which was sent to me was different than the model listed in the item's descriptionThe item's description specifically states there is no pilling anywhere on this itemAlso, the item's description states the item is a Smartwool Smartloft jacket (the model name), however the item really is a Smartwool Men's Corbet 120, an older modelThe seller instantly replied and asked me what could be done to helpI asked if the seller would be willing to provide me a partial refund because of the pilling and the different, older model and the seller agreed to return $to me, which means the transaction total would be lowered to $plus shippingPoshmark chimed in and asked me if I would accept a $credit of

I received a damaged itemUpon submitting photo evidence of the damaged item that I receivedThe seller claimed that I damaged the item myself and was scamming herShe claimed the photos that I took of the item I received were not of what she sent me, that I had somehow hidden away her item, purchased the exact same item, damaged it, and was now attempting to send it to her as a "return."
This isn't the type of transaction that I want to go throughIdeally, it would have been simple, clear, transparentI don't know what happened on their end, but there is hardly a way of ensuring that the transactions are transparent or of providing "legitimate" proof for either side when such disputes arise between buyers and sellers, which further makes dispute settlement challenging since technically either party could have misrepresented the facts and it would be impossible to discern, who is legitimately telling the truthIt is disheartening, hurtful, and offensive to be called a "scammer." Believing this to be true, I purchased the item in a bundle with another item (two separate items)

I then tried on the first item (which was used), and realized it had a stain on it that was not mentioned by the seller
I put in a complaint, and the company automatically issued me a refund, which I did not request
They allowed the seller to lie without reprimand, stating that she sent out a flawless garment, where it was indeed stained (picture submitted with the complaint)
I told the company I wasn't interested in a refund, as I was happy with the second item, and had removed the tags
They then cancelled the refund, but did not refund me or credit me for the flawed item
The company then offered me ten dollars credit for the 40-dollar item
