the crew was great. was great wasn't hapy with the salesman, but I really liked everyone else. the job was done great.

Awesome job job everyone should give power a try! They gave me a fair price and offered financing to make this easy to replace my windows, I couldn't have fixed my broken windows without the financing. They are really nice people which is the opposite I expected from a contractor.

Review: PowerHome

Did put a roof on my house with out getting the proper permits. They told me they had the permit but one was never issued by the town.Desired Settlement: cancel the credit card bill for the roof work that was done with out a permit.

Review: The company sold my name and phone number without disclosure and sold it without my knowledge or consent. I have been receiving unsolicited marketing calls even though I am on the do not call list. Phone calls to the company to discuss were not answered promptly. The company required me to opt out to take my name off of these lists.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to be required to disclose upfront that they are selling the consumers phone number at the time they are giving an estimate for work.

I would also like a written response from the company explaining why they sold my personal information without knowledge or consent

Response:

Dear **. [redacted],

First and foremost, thank you

for taking the time to write about your experience. We are deeply troubled that these issues

have caused undue stress to you and your family. I have personally looked into your

complaint.

In the instances where people

give us their contact information, we touch base with them periodically to see

if they would be interested in our services.

Your information is added to our automated dialer. We did not realize that we were calling you

as often as you claim. This is the first

time I am learning about your dissatisfaction and will take the necessary steps

to rectify the situation. We systematically take three steps when this

issue arises; we flag the record within our database to prevent it from being

called by anyone in the company, remove the number from the predictive dialer,

and post the number to our own internal DNC list, which prevents it from

loading into the dialer system again.

Furthermore, you provided us

your information, so at no time have you been contacted without the

authorization. Additionally, we have not

distributed your information to any other parties. We apologize for the inconvenience and give

assurance that we will do our best to make sure you will not hear from us again. Hopefully this will help to absolve our

company of any wrongdoing. If there is anything else I can do to assist,

please contact me directly via the information noted below.

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: Per law I'm eligible to cancel the transaction, without penalty or obligation, within three business days from the date of transaction (April 22, 2013). Hence on 4/24/2013 I called powerhrg's call center at [redacted] to request a cancellation of contact/transaction. The lady who took my call promised to have the salesman call me to confirm the cancellation of my transaction, but I was never contacted.Desired Settlement: Cancel the transaction

Review: A representative was going door to door. We agreed to have a salesman come out. He spent 2 hours giving a presentation on windows. We requested the estimate multiple times. He was reluctant to provide the estimate. When he finally did provide the estimate, it was not detailed The written estimate only had our names at the top, and a total dollar amount. We had to write in the details. Then, two weeks later, the company contacted us to provide updated pricing. The salesman's boss came out. He proceeded to go through another sales presentation. When we got pushy, he got defensive and refused to leave our estimate. This company also sells a first visit discount. If the price isn't the price, then how does the consumer know when they are getting the best price?Desired Settlement: Provide the consumer the best price the first time. Stop the heavy handed 2 hour sales pitch.

Re: CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Dear [redacted]

I understand how difficult it

is to organize your busy schedule to be available for an estimate on a home

improvement project. In order to provide

an estimate, we require all the homeowners, decision makers, and involved

parties are present to get the information.

It is not to force a sale, like the case may seem. We do that to put ourselves in the best

position to earn your future business by ensuring that we’ve done everything in

our power to educate you on the industry, the products, our company, and the

investment that is involved. We’ve been

in business for over 20 years, and have found that our customers, and potential

customers, are happiest in the end when they’ve received all the information

they need before getting involved in a major remodeling project. At the point of sale, the homeowner is

presented with the lowest possible price.

Occasionally, our prices fluctuate with seasonal promotions, discounts

and sales. Therefore, we cannot give present

a price and guarantee it will be the same in the future. For this reason, we are unable to leave pricing

documents behind.

If you are still interested,

we would be more than happy to provide you with our services. Keep in mind, you’ll be dealing with an

industry expert and be given sound advice.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or

concerns. Thank you for your time and for

considering us for your remodeling project.

I am rejecting this response because: The core issue remains that discounts offered for signing at the first visit are nothing more than a high-pressure way of closing the sale. The price should be the best possible price period. That price should be in writing, with detailed information on the estimate. Offering a discount for allowing signage in the homeowner's yard is also another form of high-pressure sales.

they said they couldn't do a bay window on my house. I told them thank you and I was going with someone else. they have called five time sine then to schedule an appointment. I keep telling them about the bay window but they keep calling me. they just want to throw in a quick replacement window.

We will never work with this company simply because of their extreme, predatory sales tactics. Unfortunately the 4 hour sales presentation on a Tuesday night (after making it clear that we had other things to tend to, only to be told, "one quick thing..." by the sales rep) concluded with a bottom line of the highest cost for windows of 5 different window installation companies. Although the sales person was friendly and his presentation of product quality thorough (after 4 hours how could it not be) we were left deflated by the price point and even more angered by the repeated daily phone calls a week later. The phone calls bordering on harassment as well as a sales person that disregards a potential customers time and firm declination of services has left a poor taste in our mouths.

Review: On October 14, 2014, my husband and I were subject to a very long and high pressured sales pitch on purchasing a new roof with an exorbitant sales price. After 5 1/2 hours the salesperson finally left and at that that time it was decided that we would purchase siding trim for the entire house. After sleeping on this decision, we decided to cancel as there is a 3 business day no penalty or obligation clause. I mailed in the cancellation form on 10/15/14 and the Power Home Remodeling Group called me on 10/16/14 and said they had received my cancellation form but that they needed to come to my house to have me initial in person. They also insisted that my husband be present even though the account was in my name only. None of this was stated on the cancellation form that I sent in and I do not wish to deal with this company again. I read many reviews and see that this could be a potential problem as they do not want to take no for an answer.Desired Settlement: To know that what was submitted is suffice.

Review: Three nights ago, my gutter fell off of the back of the house due to heavy storms and rain. When I called Power Windows and Siding to register a warranty claim, they asked me to send them pictures, of the fallen gutter, which I did. Based off of the pictures alone, the representative determined that the warranty would not be valid because the facial board, which was not replaced at the installation of the gutters looked like they were rotted. I explained to the man that the facial board was fine when the gutters were installed and that there was no need to get it replaced at that time. The Power windows guy said that after four years, it looks like the facial board has rotted and thus voids the warranty. My complaint is that the warranty does not say if parts of the house rot after a certain amount of time that it voids the warranty. The only thing that voids the warranty is fire and if I sell the house to someone else. I feel that this company is not trying to stand by their warranty claims and are trying to get me to spend more money to get the gutters and facial board completely replaced. Though they are coming out today to look at the gutters, it is not to fix them under warranty, it is to give me a brand new estimate for a brand new order. I am really upset and feel as if my original purchase with them, in which I paid cash, was a waste of money. I will more than likely end up going with another company that has quality work and is much less expensive than this company that is trying to rip me off. In the future, I will not recommend this company to any of my friends and family.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to stick to the claims of their warranty that is explicitly stated in the warranty itself and fix the gutters under the warranty clause.

Review: I signed with PHRG to replace, what I thought, was 17 windows and one exterior door at my home. During a pre inspection meeting, it was determined that the door was not included in an original estimate. Odd, because we picked out the styles of the windows and the door prior to the inspection. The other odd part was they told us we would be charged an additional $1200.00 due to an error made by the salesman. I told them no way. This was crazy. I was told someone from corporate would contact me. They never did. The day of install we still had not received any help. We entered into a contract for 17 windows and a door with their salesman. However, the door did not appear on the final estimate nor contract. Yet, we picked it out in detail and were told it would be installed. I spoke with 6 company employees at multiple levels to resolve our issue. I was told that a door costs $3500.00 and would need to pay. After trying to work through the issue, we were told it would be $2700.00 and then they finally offered us a door at $2500.00. All the time I believed it was included in our original contract. I paid this company $13,000.00 to replace my windows.Desired Settlement: I would like PHRG to replace the exterior door as promised by their salesman and pre inspection estimator.

Response:

Dear **.

[redacted],

Thank you

for taking the time to write about your experience. I' sorry we failed to meet your

expectations on your recent remodeling project.

We are deeply troubled that this issue has caused undue stress and

aggravation for you, our valued customer.

I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into your project.

Please

reference the attached Product Specifications, signed Product Specification

sheet and signed Custom Remodeling and Improvement Agreement. On 4/28/2014, Power HRG supplied and

installed 17 windows as promised in the Agreement dated 3/1/2014. The pre-installation phase of the project is

designed to identify potential issues or complications prior to the installation. During the

pre-installation inspection on 3/11/2014, it was determined that a new entry

door was not sold as part of your project.

Furthermore, it was discovered that you were not charged for the removal

of the existing windows. As a courtesy,

we waived the additional $1,200.00 removal fee and agreed install the windows

at the original sale price.

As you know,

we are scheduled to visit your home tomorrow, 5/2/14, to inspect the alleged

installation issues. These repairs, and

any claims made going forward, will be covered under your lifetime

warranty. Please contact me via the

information noted below if I can be of further assi[redacted]ce.

I am rejecting this response because:

We would definitely recommend power at least for windows because that is all we have used them for so far. Right away we could feel the difference upstairs and it was 95 degrees out today. They were all so nice to be around, it made this really easy for us to get these windows replaced finally!

Remodeling consultant was very knowledgeable and helpful. The crew was on time, polite and efficient. Very happy.

Review: On Saturday, July 5, 2013, my home phone rang. I could not read my caller ID because I did not replace the battery. I answered the phone, no one was there, so I hung up. The phone immediately rang again. I did not pick up. I received calls at the following times on July 5, 2013: 9:21 AM; 9:22 AM; 9:23 AM; 9:24 AM; 9:25 AM; 9:26 AM; 9:27 AM; 9:28 AM; 9:29 AM; 9:30 AM; 9:41 AM; 9:48 AM; 9:56 AM; 10:00 AM; 10:02 AM; 10:04 AM; 10: 24 AM; 10:47 AM; 11:11 AM; 11:12 AM = 20 calls. No messages were left. I have never called this company and have no dealings with them. Due to the frequency of these calls, these are harassing. I did a Google search of their telephone number, ###-###-####, and this seems to be a common theme. Your A+ rating of this company is shocking. They harass people that aren't even their customers.Desired Settlement: I want this company to stop harassing people.

Response:

I was approached (feels like the proper word should be "acosted") in my driveway one evening by two nicely dressed, attractive young men. After bantering back and forth and trying to kindly dismiss them, they continued on and on, and what must have been 45 minutes later (in an attempt to get them to leave) I resignedly agreed to an in-home estimate for the following day. They do not take "no" for an answer and are unusually (suspiciously) friendly and uncomfortably personal. Thankfully I cancelled the appointment before it could happen after considering their tactics and feeling like I had been played.
Thought I too had dodged the bullet that others had been trapped by but alas, in my mailbox today I receive a flyer from Power Home Remodeling Group entitled "Prescreen & Opt Out Notice". It states: "Thank you for your interest in purchasing exterior home remodeling products from Power Remodeling Group for your home at the above-referenced address." Ahem.....WE DID NOT EVEN RECEIVE AN ESTIMATE, and we cancelled our appointment to get an estimate (not sure how that could be construed as 'interest in purchasing'). The flyer goes on to state "We appreciate your business (um, we are not doing business of any sort with you) and want to inform you that you have been pre-approved for our no down payment option..." Pre-approved? Have you run a credit report on me somehow without my knowledge or consent? Wait....WHAT? Of course I immediately want to opt out of any unsolicited offer of credit or insurance from this company. So I call the number provided as the "opt out" number and the first thing the computerized messaging system asks me to do is to state my name and key in or say my complete social security number. Hmmmm.........DON'T THINK SO!!
Please beware of any information you provide to these "charming" young salesmen, even prior to receiving an estimate. They are extremely skilled at drawing you into conversations and are schooled in getting you to give them your personal (credit) information. After all they want to size you up to see how much they can get away with charging you.
I hope my experience will serve as a warning if you are considering using this company.

Review: I contracted with Power Remodeling Group to install insulation in the attic of my home- with this portion of their service I have no issue. As part of Power HRG's promotion, a smart-thermostat was installed by non-HVAC licensed personnel on 10 July 2014. These personnel made an incorrect assumption that the thermostat was compatible with my HVAC system wiring as it currently stands. This is an incorrect assumption, as my HVAC has been acting erratically since the installation. I have called the Power HRG service line numerous times, speaking with personnel at Power HRG now five times, and I am unsatisfied with their handling of this situation. I have been provided two options by Power HRG: 1) Fix the problem myself with the smart thermostat manufacturer, and 2) have the same non-HVAC licensed personnel re-install my old thermostat. I am concerned about damage to my system due to the erratic performance of my HVAC system since the installation on 10 July 2014. Due to the lack of acceptable outcome from Power HRG, I am looking at alternate avenues, including hiring an outside, properly licensed HVAC technician to repair my HVAC system so that it will function properly.Desired Settlement: An acceptable outcome to this issue would be to have Power HRG do one of the three following options: 1) provide an HVAC-licensed technician install either the common line required by the smart thermostat and conduct an inspection/diagnostic on my HVAC system to ensure no damage due to the faulty installation OR 2) to have Power HRG provide an HVAC-licensed technician re-install my old thermostat and conduct an inspection/diagnostic on my HVAC system to ensure no damage due to the faulty installation OR 3) fully reimburse me for the outside licensed HVAC technician, as by the time this issue is resolved I will need properly functioning air conditioning and I cannot wait for them to continue to drag their feet.

Review: Sales person provided two prices to install windows. One price was if a contract was signed immediately, the 2nd price was about 20% higher if the contract was signed at a later date. The sales person told me that if I signed the contract I would have 3 working days to cancel. The sales person provided me with a conciliation letter that I would need to sign and send to the company within the 3 day period. After one day I changed my mind, signed the cancellation document and sent it next day UPS with requirement of signature at a cost of $30 to myself. I was then contacted by the company telling me that they received the cancellation document and that they needed to send someone from their company to my home for me to sign another document that verified that they had received the document I already sent them.Desired Settlement: I would like Power Home Remodeling to honor my cancellation request and leave me alone. I don't want them sending any more people to my home, I want them to accept my cancellation request, and I want them to stop contacting me. It would be nice if they sent me a check for the $30 I had to spend to send them the cancellation request (because they do not accept email, phone, or verbal cancellations), but I will settle with them accepting cancellation and leaving me alone.

Review: About a month ago a representative from power home remodeling came to my door in the middle of the night soliticing work. She was very rude and would not leave until I gave her my name and number. She also wanted to know if I am the only one on the deed so that if someone else was, I needed them as well. Now I must get 10 - 20 calls a day from them from various states. I have blacklisted their numbers. They send me a letter stating I have been prescreened for credit using my credit info when I never authorized that. The letter says if I want to opt out of this type of correspondannce, I should dial ###-###-####. When I dial the number it says yo opt out, I must supply my social security number. I believe this must be some sort of scam.

I want the 10 - 20 calls a day to stop.Desired Settlement: I want the 10 - 20 calls to stop. I also did not authorize a credit check. I have just signed up to do not call.

Review: [redacted] is a neighborhood in [redacted], GA in which I live. There is a sign at the front of the neighborhood that prohibits solicitation. About 4 times a year, Power Home Remodeling solicits door to door, and I've had enough. Coming as late as 8PM during the week, high pressuring verbal sale tactics, and sometimes even calling up to 10 times in single day (made the big mistake of giving out my cell phone number to receive a roof replacement estimate), I've had enough.Desired Settlement: Do not solicit in [redacted] neighborhood in [redacted], Georgia. As a board member of the Home Owner's Association, I will do whatever it takes to keep solicitors out of this neighborhood.
