Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: After our first experience with your company a few years ago, when we did ask for a roof replacement estimate, which was never delivered, we have endured multiple calls from your firm and multiple salespeople at our door and in each case, we have told them not to call us anymore and not to come to our house any more to try and generate more businessWe have always treated the people that have called or come to our door respectfully and kept our fingers crossed that the message would get through to someone at your companyNow we are just tired of having to repeatedly deal with the issue. While our initial request for an estimate did give you justification to contact us once, each subsequent contact has been met with the same response, we don't want any further contact from your company and would like to be removed from any contact lists, so your final statement "Furthermore, you willfully provided
us with your information, so at no time have you been contacted without authorization" is on it's face inaccurate. If this was a one time issue, I could understand some confusion around the issue but, every time you work on a roof in or near our neighborhood, you send salespeople to our door regardless of our efforts to stop this practice. If there is an issue regarding the connection between the people calling us, those that knock on doors or other marketing efforts, and our repeated statements to remove us from future contact, it is caused by a lack of documentation within your processBecause we have been consistent in our statements regarding no further contact after our first interaction, each time you then called or knocked was absolutely unauthorizedBased on the number of similar complaints filed, I know I am not alone wanting to see a change in your high pressure sales processAny future sales efforts by phone, mail or in person will be refused and will result in vigorous pursuit of all legal avenues necessary to prevent future contact.Prior to agreeing to close the complaint, I would like to know how your sales process will change to ensure that others that wish to have no contact with your company and clearly state that they do not want future contact, are respectedI also would like to see the removal of the inaccurate statement highlighted above from your responseTo accept that response requires that we retract our truthful statement that we have tried multiple times to stop future contact only to be ignoredThat is not going to happen. Finally, when you do use telephonic outreach, those that call should not lie about someone visiting the neighborhood and seeing roof damage from our last storm in an attempt to schedule appointmentsSince we have already had our roof replaced, and there has been no damage to that roof from a storm, this was obviously a script that was built to try and trick people into agreeing to a face-to-face meeting where further high pressure sales tactics will be usedWhen I called your telemarketing person on the lie, they stumbled in their response and then quickly hung upThat type of deceptive sales practice seems most likely to be successful with more vulnerable populations that are not as aware or capable quickly identifying the lie. This type of sales activity should stop as wellHopefully the record of this complaint will help others avoid these deceptive sales practices

Dear **& *** ***,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I’m sorry that you are upset with the current
situation. I have reviewed your
complaint and personally looked into the matter
Due to the existing condition of the building on the
property, Power HRG is unable to move forward with the project as scheduled. During the Pre-Installation Inspection, it
was determined that the dwelling is unfit for human habitation. Among other things, there are holes in the
floors, issues with the electrical systems, and unsafe working conditions. Additionally, the buck frames installed in
the opening were formed with plywood, rather than 2x’s, as recommended by the
manufacturer’s installation specifications
This response shall serve as notice of cancellation and
termination of the Custom Remodeling and Improvement Agreement dated
10/29/2015. We thank you for considering
Power HRG for your remodeling project.
Please contact me via the information noted below if you have any

This company had people in our area too so we let them in and they did the same thing, asked if both of us would be there during the quote which we had to have a scheduled date they took almost two hours and they still couldn't explain why we both had to be present
even though only one of us would be making the final decision about the windowsThey creeped us out and never showed up thank god, we decided to stock with a company we know and respect....F*

This company came by our house asking to give us an estimate on replacing our roof We are actually in the market, and one of our neighbors had their roof replaced down the street, they indicated they were the company who had done the work (they were not) I thought another quote wouldn't hurt, so sure, give us a quote First off the company is creepy, asking about our kids seemed friendly and sales like, but they the guy wrote down their ages They wanted to meet with I and my wife, I was confused by this until the guy began a hour long powerpoint presentation I kept thinking it was almost over, but it wouldn't end We have gotten quotes, all of them were 1/the price, and way less trouble No contractor asked to come inside, but these guys made a big deal about it After four quotes with not one contractor asking to come inside I began wondering if the salesguy was casing the place Really creepy company, creepy salesperson He had the audacity to be pissed off when he left and say he couldn't believe I wouldn't offer him something to drink These guys are awful If they knock, tell them to go somewhere else

I am rejecting this response because:
Eamon L*** states that contract from 8/7/was voidedWe have a signed contract from 8/14/that says 5.9% Final signed contract on record[Document attached of signed contract]Powers voided the 6/28/contract that Eamon L*** references in his response When we requested a copy of the voided contract on 8/19/2013, Powers failed to provide leaving us with only the 8/14/signed contract on file (attached)Buyers did not know the *** thermostat was improperly installed HVAC Specialist was called because Buyers assumed there were issues with HVAC systemWhen HVAC specialist inspected the systems, it was stated that *** system was improperly installed The Powers agreement states that they will take responsibility at no cost to buyer, but it does not state that it will not reimburse for services that reveal neligent work done by sub-contractorsThe *** Company provided a new thermostat at no cost due to improper installation and recommended working directly with *** contractors versus sub-contractors for the *** system (telephone conversation) *** Company sent unit via next day air, but Powers requested we not install so that the sub-contractor could review the work When sub-contractor came to install the new unit, he stated that, "It looks like it could have been installed incorrectly." However, he could not confirm as the HVAC Specialist had already corrected the issue (the unit was set under incorrect setting and it needed to be set at heat pump)[Document attached and underlined on page and 3] [HVAC assessment attached]

Dear ***,
Thank you for your detailed reply. I am not disputing the timeline of events;
our records identify the same dates and individuals. However, your belief that the additional cost
of $1,was due to the alleged mistake of not including the
door is incorrect. The additional
$1,that was not added to the original price of the project was for the
window removal type. The other
discrepancy, which seems to be the main point of contention, is the entry door. As you can see on the previously attached, signed
documents, the details of the project are very specific. An entry door was not sold as part of your remodeling
project. I apologize for any
miscommunication or confusion regarding this matter
Furthermore, your accusations regarding the
driving force behind our company are erroneous.
Power HRG prides itself in our people, culture and shared dedication to
a greater goal. We have received several
top workplace awards in eight major cities across the country. Personally, I am proud to be part of the
Power brand
On 5/02/we inspected the project at your
home and put together a punch list of issues scheduled to be resolved on 5/16/14. Lastly, I understand the slow expanding spray
foam stained your rug. As a concrete
token of my apology, I have authorized a $*** gift card in your name. The card will be mailed directly to your home
address.
Please do not hesitate to contact me
directly, via the information noted below, if I can be of further
assistance.
Respectfully,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Though they state several inaccuracies in their response 'from time to time' I would not consider the same as the frequent calling and harassment and the fact that I 'gave them my contact info' for an initial consult does not equal concurrence to harras us after we made it plain to them to stop, I will agree that this matter is settled as long as they leave us alone

Horrible company that makes you jump through hopes to cancel and doesn't call to let you know they are not showing upBut they told my husband and me if we didn't call to cancel it would make them look badMaybe practice what you preachAfter a hour sales pitch, a one hour talk and leaving work early to get home to sign cancellation papers for them not to showHorrible company that lies and says they are family operated when really it's like a warehouse clubWill never do business with them
