Customer’s Statement of the Problem:
“I booked a room in [redacted] I
recieved a room In [redacted] After several calls and extreme waiting times no
one would offer to correct my booking When I requested a manager I was informed
no one was available.”
 
Our documented case history confirms that the consumer purchased the
reservation on Wednesday April 8th 2015 at 11:41:44 PM ET for same
day check-in on April 8th, 2015.
Our documented
case history further confirms that the consumer contacted priceline customer service,
nine minutes after purchase, on Wednesday April 8th 2015 at 11:50:21 PM ET requesting
to change or cancel the reservation, stating that the wrong city was booked.
The consumer was offered the option to resubmit the purchase for the new
city, however the consumer declined.
Attached hereto, is a copy of the consumer’s initialed
contract page authorizing the terms and conditions of the selected purchase.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I still find Priceline's business practices very deceptive and unfair.  All I wanted was to rent an economy car at the lowest price given my trip itinerary.  Any standard desktop website is supposed to be fully functional and offer all services.  Priceline's standard desktop website offers express deals on hotels but not on rental cars.  Upon looking at their website on my mobile phone, I noticed express deals offering economy cars for the same dates, times, and location at a much lower price.  It is unacceptable that they don't implement express deals on rental cars on their standard desktop website.  They need to fix this immediately.  I have been a customer since 2009 and have used Priceline every year since then.  Apparently, they don't appreciate my loyalty and patronage.  I expect superior customer service but it has been nothing short of deplorable thus far in their handling of my concern and complaint.  They should do the right thing by honoring their lower express deal price of $21 instead of my $32 price by refunding the difference of $71.87 over the 5 days including taxes and fees.Sincerely,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Priceline in this case is committing fraud on top of the  existing fraud they already committed.Not only did they defraud me the first time by stating that I'm bidding on an international chain hotel like [redacted],intercontinental ,etc.. or a"4 star deluxe hotel", but in this case they cancelled my reservation which is in June which pretty much means they will resell the room that I already paid for and profit on the room twice and they are refusing to issue a refund for the reservation that they already cancelled according to the email response.How is that even legal? for them to cancel my room,resell it , and not even give me a refund.Also,my credit card dispute hasn't been resolved yet and its still pending.I contacted Amex and had the dispute reopened as price line is still insisting on not providing a refund. Also, The hotel they provided is not comparable to an international chain
hotel as they claim despite it being rated as 4 stars by them.A quick view of the website shows that its an old fashioned hotel that is
not for a business traveler or has the amenities typically found in an

I am rejecting this response because:
1. The shaded area in the mapping guideline should be consistent with the hotel description. There is no statement on the Priceline webpages saying that there might be inconsistency between their descriptions and their map. However, during my express deal reservation, the description of the hotel is obviously giving an incorrect location of the hotel although the mapping guideline may have the correct information.
2. As a proof of my point 1, from the website www.priceline.com if you search all hotels in "Beaverton, OR" (please note the location is the only one filtering condition used here), the hotel "[redacted] -
Portland/Beaverton" is not in the list. Instead, the hotel is listed if you search all hotels in "Portland, OR" for the same time range. These results were from the regular hotel search from priceline. Since Priceline doesn't classify "[redacted] -
Portland/Beaverton" as a hotel located in Beaverton, OR in a regular hotel search, I won't accept the result that Priceline titled this hotel as a "Beaverton hotel" in the express deal. In fact, the hotel "[redacted] -
Portland/Beaverton" is not physically located in Beaverton, OR as well.

I am rejecting this response because:I spoke with Priceline directly prior this complaint and received the same response numerous times.  My issue is that their low price guarantee as they explain it is not disclosed in plain site prior to purchase and is a deception with non refundable purchases such as my non refundable car rental.  The reason it is deceptive is that the only option to purchase a non refundable car rental is to purchase first and then see the rental company after.  The same goes with [redacted].  Their low price guarantee as they explain it to me now will never be possible if you have to match car rental companies because you will never get a comparable price booking directly with the car rental agency.   My position is that I was induced to purchase this non refundable car rental expecting a credible low price guarantee and am now stuck in a contract with Priceline through deceptive business practices.  I am not the only one who feels this way.  Please click on the links below.  It is unfortunate that Priceline could not negotiate over $33.00 and has forced me to go this route.

I am rejecting this response because:
Priceline lures their customer into a false sense of hope. In order to see if any hotels EVEN accept the offer you have to enter your credit card information. You enter your offer of said 90, then your credit card information. The are suckerd into hitting the buy button to see if any hotels accept your offer. If not do, no charge. However if one does, they charge your card!  Even before you can approve if YOU like the location, or are 100% sure that you even WANT to stay at the HOTEL. They offer no way of backing out of the deal if you are at any way unhappy or unsure of your purchase.  Then once a hotel agrees to the bid you are stuck with the purchase.  It is an unfair business model that hurts their customers. Not only have they refused to help in any way, they have lost any and all future business from me, my family and my friends.
They make NO attempt to clearly educate you on the consequence of hitting the buy button. PRICELINE only works well for those that 100% certain of their travel needs and plans. I highly recommend any and all customers to seek deals on any other travel site other then PRICELINE.

Hello thank you Price line / Revdex.com for responding however the letter / complaint sent on 04/15 concerning itinerary # [redacted], and why I was requesting my refund, and possibly a complimentary day (all verifiable with maybe a complimentary day because of missing a email business opportunity for a Product I am trying to market. I had been waiting for that email, and I didn't see it until 04/01 but came through 03/31, he's a hard man to reach ). Right here let me interject the art of the conversation with your Rep. (Red) that would make any customer angry, after explaining the situation about the internet inaccessibility (amenity) and someone telling you their spending hundreds a month to keep / maintain the room (as temporary lodging) good customer retention is ma'am i'm sorry let us try remedying this unfortunate inability to access the internet here's your refund. Instead after telling her what happened and her response to it, I  told her okay I can file with the Revdex.com she said " Well ma'am you do what you feel is best, because we have a membership with the Revdex.com, and we are in good standing, and it was your job to go and find internet service somewhere else if you didn't have it at the hotel, but yet it's part of the booking/amenities. ( had I been some corporate guy on business who knows what he would have done)  Now my thought was I'm struggling/working hard at coming up with a minimum of $1350.00 a month to keep this room until I find something permanent, this arrogant insensitive young rep. could not see past anything but the bottom line (not the customer) which was money for the company. Understand outside of this I think Price line is a great booking company, and I have helped others book hotels through Price line and told others about the company, so I am just looking for an exceptable outcome to this situation. Now please in terms of replying to this email I felt no one actually looked at what the complaint was about, because they were responding to a issue in the and didn't really read it. I am rejecting this response because:First things first, I have still yet to receive my refund for the airline ticket. It is now January 19th, and this was a week ago the refund should have posted. Before the refund, I was advised by a priceline representative that it would take 2 full business days for it to appear back in to my bank account, and if not, I should contact my bank for further proceedings to reconcile this debt owed. Albeit the money would be refunded by[redacted] Airline, Priceline.com as a representative and a third party should be more attentative and complete a thorough follow through to make sure disatisfied customers are taken care of to deter any further complications. This has not happened. Priceline has only administered a standard protocol survey to ask how our experience was. Obviously, it has not been so pleasant as we are at this point in a dispute. 
Second, as a result of priceline's poor practice at providing "excellent customer service" and providing low prices on airline tickets that compete with others prices, my wife and I have had to book new airline tickets that cost twice the price of the original purchased airline ticket from priceline and aforementioned [redacted] airlines. We had to purchase an additional $400 ticket to accommodate our vacation. Not to mention that is almost $800 out of pocket because the refund has yet to be received.  The refund would of softened the blow of the extra cost, but to not have it yet, it still ridiculous and does not help. 
We received an email from priceline that [redacted] had changed our flight times. However, they did not provide us with anything further in the way of options. we called (twice) and asked very politely what could be done about the situation. Nothing, that is what we were told. We were given the option to get a refund (which we have not received), use our departure ticket and then call priceline to cancel and rebook (at our expense) a new return flight, or just put up with the change. We asked for some help with a hotel room since the flight time changed from an evening flight to the following morning, Priceline would not cover it because it was up to frontier (and Frontier also refused us). We asked for a completely different return flight (we even searched pricelines for flights already on their site that worked for our return), again they would not even think about it and had to speak to frontier (who also would not allow it  because we were still using the departure flight through them).  We spent many hours over two days trying to get an answer or a solution to what should have been a simply problem (which we did not create). Every representative that we spoke to (as well as supervisor) was rude to us. No one could help us at all (nor did they seem to have any desire to accommodate us). We basically got the run around, every answer was a scripted dialogue that basically added up to "it's your problem, we can do absolutely nothing for you".  We would not be so upset about the situation had it not been for the severely poor customer service we received.  As a paying customer, we should be allowed to call with a problem and be treated respectfully. We, however, were reprimanded for even bothering to call because they could not help us, it was the Airline's problem.  We have absolutely no interest in ever using Priceline as a service, but hope that complaints like this will help future customer's from having the same problem.  Priceline told us that they were just a travel agent, so that meant that anything the airline did was on us. A travel agent's job is to advocate for his customer's should plans be changed by the Airline or Hotel. Travel agents will help you find a new hotel or find a different flight, really they will make the situation better so that you will return as a customer in the future. That means that Priceline is not a travel agent since it did none of that for us. Therefore we will not be returning to them (and making sure that no one we know does so either).
