I searched their service for a room several days in the future I went to check on the address, and they had switched my reservation for the night I did the bookingAs a result I was miles away from the room they decided to book me withI contacted their customer service, apparently this happens a lot and they refused to do anything about itThis is not he first time I have had a problem with themTwo years ago I booked a hotel room with a poolthe hotel did not have a pool, I filed a claim to get my money backObviously I am still waiting

Complaint: Thank you for taking the time to clearly indicate these hidden charges at this stageToo bad it’s not so clear when bookingWhile I accept that this response is likely canned and defending Priceline’s policy, which is located at the bottom of the page and NOT near the price total; I feel it’s unfair and deceptiveWhen I called the hotel directly they were quite clear with me that this is a common charge and they always charge itIf that’s the case Priceline needs to include it near the price being paidThis isn’t a “hotel may charge” type of feeThis is a known Resort Fee and is always chargedTherefore, I believe this is an unfair and deceptive ad practice! This fee makes the difference between a deal being fair and acceptable and simply not I’ve attached a screenshot sample of the bidding screenThe price and taxes and total bid are boldThe “added extras” are displayed at the bottom and in a font size that is two font sizes smaller than the bidIt is the advertiser’s duty to clearly and conspicuously state this known added fee near the bid and total priceI believe Priceline has violated my rights as a consumer and is bullying me in to spending my money with their companyThis trip has not occurred and I would like a refund immediately! Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Thank you for your replyHowever, since I have personally been on this property before I know for a fact the state and condition it is inJust read the most recent reviews from any of the websites you listedI have used the Name Your Own Price tool in the past and I understand how it worksI was not looking to stay in any "particular" hotel, but only one that truly holds a star statusI can appreciate there is no perfect rating system, but this one is definitely flawedOne point that I did not bring up in my original complaint is that when I received the Priceline confirmation with the name of the hotel and picture, it's interesting that the picture was actually of the [redacted] down the street and not the [redacted] ? That was very "suspect" My family averages around hotel nights a year and although, Priceline has been a resource for us in the past I am sad to say that it will no longer be an option for usThank you again for your time Sincerely, [redacted]

Below is a summary of our communication with this customer I called [redacted] and advised that the total charge for the same exact room from millenniumhotels.com is $I informed that customer that even with the 10% discount, the amount would come down to $which is still higher compared to what he booked on our website which is $I also informed him that we checked the itinerary of his colleague ( [redacted] ) which has a cheaper rate, we see that it was booked through our Express Deal option with a different number of nightsI advised that the cheaper itinerary must have the same exact details as his original bookingThe customer advised that he sent an email with a screenshot showing a cheaper rateI checked his email and see a rate of $296.10, but could not verify if it is for the same itinerary, since the dates, room type and applicable taxes does not showI apologized to [redacted] if we could not refund the difference
