Cancel residential alarm system within the 3 day window on June 11th. Call customer service line spoke to agent, was told equipment would be picked up and the cost of equipment was going to be refunded upon completion. No further action was needed. Called today 06/19/18 since they equipment had not been picked up and I was told I was still under contract due to a cancellation form was not received which that was never informed to me. I spoke to management and asked to reviewed the recorded conversation to very information since that information was never given to me. Manager indicated they could not help. My service has been off since Monday June 11, not once this defenders contacted me for lost signal. I was told today June 19 that I’m under a contract since the cancellation never happened and if want to breach the contract I would have to pay upfront $881, not to mention the $400 already spend on equipment that now for some reason is not refundable.

I filled out forms and faxed cancellation hrs after the heavy pressure installationI got another charge from them, called [redacted] ***, who they billed and explained to them I canceled They, [redacted] ***, contacted Defenders telling them I had canceled and they would not pay and refundedmy money as well as block any further charges I got another bill, I explained to them I canceled in December, and to come pick up their stuff The next month same thing only now they say they never recieved the cancellationNext month they say they found it but not signature isnt legible, I say that IS my signature and it doesn't have to be legible, just it is mineNext month I call lawyer, they say as long as legal signature doesn't have to be legible, I wasn't denying it Again and again same thing, I asked every time if recorded so they could go back and hear it again Finally now in May, someone is saying they only got half the fax and I needed to resend, even after I told her tha

This is concerning [redacted] ** We installed ADT at this home, which cost about dollars When the home sold we were told by ADT that, as we already have ADT at our new home (and have had for two years), that we could just transfer ADT service at [redacted] to the new owners with no cancellation fee However, we kept receiving service bills until August (they were ALSO receiving payment from the new owners as this account was in their name for nearly four months by that time) We called ADT, and they stated that they would back date the termination to May when we contacted them to transfer the service to the new owners We then began receiving calls from a collections agent about the debt We told them we had already contacted ADT, and that they assured us that nothing was owed We did not realize that they had sublet the installation to Defender Defender was requesting a "cancellation fee", though we were already informed that it would be "ok" to t

I called ADT regarding a special that I saw advertised during the holiday season (2017) After speaking with ADT, I decided that the service was not what I wanted After this phone call, I have received phone calls from Defender's Protect Your Home every day for two months The number that is calling me is (530)419- However, if you call this number back, it goes to the national customer line I have never had an account or service with ADT or Defenders They continue to call me I have asked times to be taken off the list I receive phone calls every day and I this is disruptive to my students, since I teach all day I have spoken with numerous customer service agents at both companies One person said it takes days to be taken off the list The next person said it takes weeks to be taken off the list The third person transferred me to a different company hotline The fourth person said it will take days to be taken off the list Furthermore, I asked why I am receiving phone calls from them when I never contacted them They said that by calling ADT, I was automatically transferred to them They never identified themselves as Defenders Protect your Home when I called initially Secondly, they said "out of 20" customers (which I am not a customer!) is called back for better offers Based on the various information I was given previously about how long it would take to be removed from their do not call list, I doubt this is accurate either

Dear ADT / Defenders: I called you multiple times in October and November for you to come out and fix a problem with my alarm, which you did not do You missed appointments with me and as a result, my alarm incorrectly rang and alerted the police, and now I have pay two bills totaling $per the attached invoices e-mailed to [email protected], I think you should fully indemnify me for these bills, as you are responsible for the alarm failure considering my repeated attempts to get you to come and fix it, and your repeated failure to show up to the appointments If you look at my call history and appointment history, you will see this reflected on my account Better yet, listen to all the recorded calls you should have on file for me Please advise on how you will make me whole Thank you

First thing - I am very unsatisfied with the protection of this "Security System." Someone told me that if someone broke into my home and took the panel off the wall then ADT would not be notifiedI didn't want to believeHowever, I tested it out myself by taking the panel off the wall in my home and NOTHING happenedIt went totally dead (no such thing as battery back up)After that, I called to cancel my accountAt first the guy was in the process and was going through the cancelation until then at the end he decided to make it known that I am under contractHe said I can cancel just by faxing over a letterI did and was still chargedAlso, I have called in and was told my account was "paid up" with a zero balance and will be canceled on my paid through dateI was very misinformed on the day the tech was at my homeI remember ELECTRONICALLY signing my name then pasting it to a page where I was confirming my one time payment for installation and my monthly deductionI do bel

To be completely honest, I find their advertising and product sales to be very misleading and borderline advertisementI received a special offer via mail for a monthly rate of less than $and called to inquire about having their system installedAll of this was recorded in an audio in their system along with my verbal authorization of a $monthly rateHowever, I stated many times so our installation is only $and was told “Yes, and we will send you a $Visa card, thus making the installation free”There was no mention of an additional cost at the time of installation, which was $This was not even discussed until the Keypad was already installed on my wallBy that point, what was I supposed to do, have them remove it and leave a huge hole in wall? I found this to be a very shady way to conduct business on your partI was weeks out from having a heart transplant and was not in the position to spend this amount of money on a security systemHad I known al

TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN: We purchased ADT from Protect Your Home in with the intention of moving sometime the following yearWith the original purchase we were told there is no cost to the first move and that is where problems began Listing of service issues: 1) Moving Issues: A) Called Novtoo schedule the move for late DecThe call was too schedule removal and install of systemWe were asked to call back closer to our move date and give at least a 48-hour window from our call date to make sure someone would be able to come outWe called on Dec19th and were informed the earliest they could come out was JanOn Dec21stwe explained to the moving center that we had already given notice and the landlord had new tenants scheduled to move in first week of Jan 2016, so we had to get a date before Jan1st B) We were told that due to the Holiday's no one was available until Jan9th I made several phone calls after that tryi

I called to cancel the service 5/8/17. I advised it was due to financial hardship I was filing bankruptcy and need to cut expense. I was transferred to retention and then was told the account would not close and service ceased until I paid the cancellation fee. I advised the gentleman on the phone he could send me the invoice and I would submit it to my attorney to included as a creditor for my filing. I was told it doesn't work that way. The account would stay open and charges still incurred. I again reminded the gentleman of me filing bankruptcy and all creditors are being paid through the filing. I told him verbally no new charges are authorized on my debit card and to send invoiced. He said he understood and then restated no changes would be made to my account. I was charged $ 52.99 on June 2, 2017 by the company.

Salesperson and technician BOTH agreed that my ADT security system included a $Visa gift card and the ability to arm and disarm the system via smart phone The price was in conjunction with having a landlineWhen the tech arrived, I told him that the app for the phone was what made the deal and separated his company from the othersHe 'suggested' that I initially install cellular, or 'Pulse', and call in on Monday (Install was Saturday) and downgrade it to landlineThe reason was that he could install what he called "Cellular Guard" freeTHAT DAYAnd could downgrade for free when he returnedIt would be a $charge if he installed it laterHe suggested this under the guise that I may want to lose my landline sometime and this will prevent the charge What it really did was allow me to have a working app past the day return periodI took days for him to returnAfter he left I realized the phone app no longer workedWhen I called to inquire, I was informed t

I signed a contact with ADT for service and paid near $200-$to start service After a month passed I never received a bill so I called ADT customer service line The ADT rep advised I in fact did not have an account with ADTI called my bank Chase and reported the start service fee as fraud and received a full refund I am now being told I owe near $for a company I never signed agreement with Defenders

ADT technician was at my hone today and to discuss the new security system they were selling and If I agree they will do an installHe visited my home and told me he would like to check if the signal is reachable in my home before any installationI told him I will not be taking any installation with proper documentation and signatureHe said it is just a checkHe dismantlement my existing security system without my authorization and then started saying there is no power supply and he will need to move the panel, I disagreed to move the panel and after a lot of discussion decided I don't want the system and told them to put the system back to the state it wasHe put the power back and said he has not touched anything in the panelI disagreed as I got an alert that panel was tampered (as below) Shushil's system: The Panel reported a Tamper at 4:pm on Monday, October This is a monitoring message from MONI Smart SecurityLog in at http://www.alarm.com/us/Moni/

ast April 30, 2018, I received an offer from ADT Monitored Secutity System to lower my monthly billI called up and inquired and they said they're going to send a person who will explain everything to meThe person's name is Daniel B [redacted] ,a technicianAfter a lengthy talk and persuasion, I finally agreed and that I had to pay monthly installments of $and a monthly of $So, he went on to install the keyboard and the sensors and was charged the first monthlyThe following day, I called up my other alarm company to cancell. The person I spoke with, gave me a good deal which is zero down on all the sensors they will replaceSo I immediately cancelled my contract with ADT as I have days to cancel. This was June 1stI called ADT and they said they're going to send somebody to do the pull out on MAY To my surprise, the same guy, Daniel B [redacted] came and again talked to me to convince meI told him the other alarm company was offering zero downHe said he could help

To Whom It May Concern: Although I do not live in Indiana, I recently had business dealing with Defenders Security Company located at [redacted] *** After receiving a circular from my local ADT security company in the mail, I called ADT to purchase a security system The sales person answering my call identified himself as an ADT representative Later, I was informed that the Defenders Security Company of Indianapolis has a contract as an authorized dealer with ADT to perform sales, installation and fending complaintsTHe only part of the system that ADT performs is the monitoringI was lead to believe I was able to take advantage of the then current ADT offer of $per month for the first year of the contract and then would be charged $monthly for the next two yearsHowever, I am being charged $per month for three yearsI cannot get any satisfaction from either the ADT or Defenders Security Company people

We had an ADT security system installed less than months ago and have had nothing but issuesFirst, one of the sensors stopped working on our kitchen window and the only reason I knew this was because we had the window open on a warm dayHowever, the control pad showed it to be closedAfter being on the phone with ADT (because defenders was not open) they had defenders call me to set up an appointment to come out and replace the sensorSecond, less than a week later I am woken up at 2am to a loud beeping coming from the control panelI called ADT again since defenders was not open again and they had me trying to troubleshoot the panel for over an hourThe issue was that there was no signal being received and ADT could not explain why (my house was not being protected.) I requested that Defenders come out on a Saturday for the next service call and was told they might not be able to do thatInstead they offered Friday, but I could not do that since I had already taken Monday

I called ADT about an alarm system that had been deactivated I was told this was ADT, but have discovered it is an authorized dealer Protect Your Home I was unable to schedule a time for them to come out but they debited my account for $and tried to force me to have a system installed when they came out They asked for a credit card but did not tell me they would debit it I learned from ADT that the existing system could be reconnected and all that they tried to sell me, and all of the perks and free services they offered, were unnecessary No one came out, yet they debited my account They claimed they needed to reserve the offer Now I am having difficulty getting my money returned I'm not sure that they are a legitimate business ADT told me they would not have debited my account, money is only required at installation

NO STARS! really! They get ZERO!!! Defiantly a bait and switch operation! And I was trying to give the installer a break since he wasn’t the “ salesman” YET he proceeded to “install” a monitor and hang it on my wall only to tell me my quote from the salesman was only for motion detection for daytime monitoring and of course at night I could not turn on the motion detector if I was planning to ever get up in the middle the night Therefore, I needed to purchase additional door sensors and window sensors for security at night(!) ALTHOUGH I gave my window and door count to the salesman the night beforeIn fact we went over the total windows and doors a few timesI insisted to the installer that the sensors were already includedHe then had to make a call to management; he’s outside for about minutes and says “ Okay! ADT is giving you a creditI said what credit? This was already discussed and includedIt’s not a “CREDIT” It’s what we already agreed on! Then his manager arrives at the house ( strange?) He proceeds to tell me that the salesmen don’t understand the logistics of the installation process and that they’re gonna go ahead and put those sensors up but it’ll now cost me a monthWHAT! No I was told Then he has the nerve to say that’s a landline priceI SAID NO! The salesman knew I only had a cell phone ( just my mobile) They are liars and thugs, I told them we’re done hereThen the installer goes to take off the monitor and I have a hole in my wall! hours of back and forth with “ management” ( such a lie, doubtful that was even a management rep) THEY INFORM ME that I’ll need to take pics of the hole and get two estimates for the repairs They were here from 3:- 7:06!!! That’s hours of my life wasted with SUCH A CROOKED COMPANY that I’ll NEVER get back Buyer BEWARE!

We have moved - and asked to cancel our account We used to live at [redacted] ***We had ADT services there - on a month to month contractWe have been calling with my husband for over a month trying to cancel - ever time they transfer you to someone in cancellation who hangs up on youI have been give them my cell but they would not call back to terminate the services
