I have reached out to this organization several times due to their negative remark on my credit report. Each time, they state that they cannot locate any time that I held a contract with them. Yet, they are still reporting negatively to my credit and have refused to remove the account.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I would like for this company to do what is right and completely remove their negative marking on my credit report. I have not had a contract with these individuals, they have verified that they cannot find a contract under my name. There is no reason that should continue to report negatively affecting my career, my family and my well-being. Please delete immediately.

There is no rental agreement number because this account does not belong to me. I cannot provide verification for something that I do not have. The reasoning for this complaint is because you are erroneously reporting against my credit. Please remove it as you have stated numerous times in correspondence that you cannot locate an agreement for me.

On 04-11-2020 2 employees of the *** valley location came to my in laws door with no mask demanding entry
Owe have been staying at my brother in laws home while they are out of state. I have 4 children 3 that are sick my husband and our 4th child have been at our home in *** Trying to avoid spreading sickness on 04-11-2020 2 employees came to the door with only a business card dressed in tattered clothes tell me I was in possession of stolen property they had no mask gloves no id no rent agreement driving a car. I explained to them this was not my home and Monday my child was going to be tested for the virus they said it was fine to let them in after 13 mins of agreement I told them no.they asked me to push the furniture out I said no I asked them if they knew about the pandemic and they said yes.they wanted the furniture to resale.I don't have to explain how extremely high the spread of the virus is by practicing such behavior I urge rent a center to stop this practice as it is jeopardizes the health of others.. I am sadden by their lack of knowledge on this virus and hope that their corporate office educates their employees

I would like for them to follow the the CDC and their own statements on how to keep themselves and the public safe

My brother in law *** is on a contract with rent a center. I however at th residence. The fact that I wasn't on the contract is just one concern in a rather large bag of complaints.The fact that rent a center is trying to brush this off is reason this is not going away. I've contacted every department in rent a center. I will pursue this in a legal manner

There is no dollar amount . My issue is it's a state of emergency due to COVID19
It's a state of emergency and rent a center still harassing people for payments!! My payments are made. I pay for benefits plus ever week but I can't use it now that my work is closed down because I can't provide proof I applied for unemployment! Which I can't do because it's on hold! So many have applied we can't apply right now . Why do I have to pay for something I can't use. Why has the government stopped landlords and utility places from evictions and cut Offs but rent a center is exempt. Nevermind the fact that I'm already paying double for what I have due to it coming from rent a center. Rent a center is wrong! And right now they are taking advantage of a national crisis!! Preying on weak people right now is all they are doing. We are under a stay at he order but I had to leave my home today to make a $37 payment to RAC! When I tell them to come get the bed they say oh don't do that just pay next week! I mean why just push my payments stack them up when people don't have income now anyways!! All work is shut down! Calling corporate got me no where! This did it for me. Never ever again will I do business with RAC . If my finances don't accommodate me paying the item off I will have them pick it up ! They never want to when I tell them too so guess they will get it from outside!! Most inconsiderate buisness I've ever dealt with! And I've paid off purchased with them before . I've been a long time customer . And treated like garbage now. It's all about money to them. It doesn't matter if you have to.starve or your children do just u better make sure u make that weekly payment or they gonna call and text u none stop!!! Wonder how corporate will react to a harassment charge? Or false advertising . When they charge u for benefits plus weekly but when u need to use it it's a act of congress and has to be approved and blah blah blah. It's a state of emergency isn't that proof enough that every household income is stopped!!!

Give customers what they pay for! You took money from me every week for a benefit program that I can't even use!! Worry about your customers instead of every dollar in their pocket! Freaking rip Offs . Credit my account or end my contract choice is yours

I am attempting to get a pay off on my account.
I have been attempting to get a pay off on my account and I am continually getting routed elsewhere or to the store and I am will not go into the location in order to make a final payment which I am told is required.

I would like a payoff issued to me in writing and that my account no longer be serviced by the man at the store. Any further communication must be done via email as you don't offer services for the hearing impaired.

I have been waiting over 12 days for a refund and I called rac and they said speak to my bank speak to my bank and they say they don't see no refund. Call them back they giving me a run around for my money with all the things happen in the world right now I need all my money and it should not take 7 days to return some ones money. When they were suppose to do the delivery the furniture was damaged 2 then they could not deliver it because of covid19 so I asked for a refund from the first incident still gave them another chance now im still waiting on my money this is crazy

I been off work for the past for having toe nail remove and now because corona 19 and I work for east Allen community schools and when they are close I won't have work and I've been getting calls from rent a center 3 time a day ever day and I order a king size bed room set from them and it has a crack on the dress and the bed didn't come with screws and the bolts for it and I haded to wait three months to get the bed full assemble and I open the night stand and the door fell apart

I am currently using Rent-A-Center for my bedroom set. I recently have become ill, so I have taken off of work to self-quarantine. I had contacted Rent-A-Center because I am not getting paid and was requesting an extension. (I have not missed a payment either.) They asked for me to bring them a letter to verify unemployment, I explained that I had taken voluntary time off and I have a letter from my current employer that states that I am currently not working. They asked me to fax them the paper I explained that I could not fax it because I was ill and the only way to fax it would be to going out to fax it. He offered to pick up the letter but I had left my residents to be quarantined in the care of mt mother. He than proceeded to tell me he was going to pick up my furniture. I asked if there was a way I could email it, he said nope there is no way you can. I am taken back by the carelessness of employees to retrieve a letter from a sick individuals under these circumstances. I am also upset that I have never given them issues and they can't even cooperate with an customer who has no access to a fax. I called customer service, they claimed to had granted me an extension but the Rent-A-Center continues to call and harass me. I understand what need to be done but its out outrageous that in a global crisis when a individual who is practicing self-quarantine ask a company to understand the circumstances that they refuse and are threatening to take furniture that I am very close to finish paying off. I am willing to offer them what they are asking for just can not fax. I just need to email them and this is highly stressful.

Good afternoon,I am writing to file a complaint against Acceptance Now for charging me twice on Feb 6, 2020 for two different amounts which only one was authorized by me. The first charge was for 196.01 which is my monthly payment and which I authorized. The other charge was for 483.65 which I did not authorize. I reached out to my bank which is Chase on 2/6/20 and filed a claim which they gave me temporary credit and reversed my charges and they also opened up an investigation.I also reached out to Acceptance Now that same day and they claimed that they do not see those charges anywhere in their systems. On March 30,2020 Chase reversed the 483.65 and put my account in a negative because they said they reached out to Acceptance Now and that they said I authorized both charges. I called Corporate Headquarters and spoke to the district manager Jose *** phone number XXX-XXX-XXXX email ***@racacceptdm.com He stated once again that he could not see the charge of 483.65 in their systems and for me to send him a copy of my bank statement showing that they charged my account twice, which I did. Today I called Chase again and spoke to a supervisor in the claims department and they indicated that my account through them is with Visa. They stated that Visa said that they reached out to Acceptance Now and were sent documentation by Acceptance Now of me authorizing these charges, which I dont understand because all my payments are done verbally by phone. They further told me there is nothing else they could do for me and that I have to take it up with the merchant. I called Jose today and he is claiming that he looked into my claim and that he still doesnt see the charges. I told him that Chase said that Acceptance Now provided documentation stating that I authorized the charge of 483.65 and he stated that he does not see that because that charge is not on any systems within their company. Please understand my frustration behind this especially at a time like now.

My husband and I currently rent from this company. Due to the virus , he is no longer working. We told them what was going on. They wanted us to have his manager sign a paper but there was nobody in the building due covid. I told them I will either pay once it's clear to be out or they can come remove their products once the stay at home order was lifted. They continue coming to my house banging on my door demanding me to let them in. At this point it's harrassment. They are more then welcome to take there cheap products but will not step a foot in my house until it's safe to. I'm pregnant and have 3 little ones at home. I'm not putting my family at risk for a bed and tv.

No further contact by the busi Would like them to stop harassing me and my family. We will return products once it's safe to let people in homes.

I rented a recliner in December of 2019. My credit card was charged twice on 12/10/19, one for the rental of the chair and another charge for a deposit. I was told on that date that was soon as the chair was returned, the deposit would be automatically returned. The chair was picked up on January 6 with confirmation that the chair was in the same condition as when delivered. I have since followed up with 3 phone calls and two emails to the office, followed by a dissatisfied survey. Today, I follow up yet again with another phone call to the locations and I was told that my name is on a list for a refund, but they can not issue refunds on a daily basis as they need to have a certain amount of cash (sales) made per day to process the refund. I reminded the employee that I made my payment and deposit with a credit card, but they insisted that all refunds are made with a cash payment. This clearly raised a red flag for me. It's hard to imagine that they have a list of people who are owned refunds with no date to confirm when their money will be returned. I'd like my money returned and any interest they have made off of holding my money for going on 4 month.

Other (requires explanation) Refund processed via my credit card or a check cut and mailed to me. I refuse to drive to their location to collect a refund that they collected over the phone. I have tired my best to work with this company and be patient, but the response I received today was new- and after waiting 4 months, I had to raise this concern.

I explained I didn't want to pay 3 times purchase cost said no ma'am 90 days. I was issued Ashley Furniture credit card with 2,000. Limit sale lady said couldn't get sale price if put on Ashley card. Acceptance Now has 90 days. I would have put on Ashley card with out sales price I have already paid $448.00. Total purchase $373.00. They say I still owe $638.00 I need help.

Acceptance now charged me twice for a couch that I've already paid for and now they want me to pay $914 after I've paid 1100 for a $900 couch.
I will attach the only document/receipt I have from them showing how much I owe

I have rented from RAC since the year 2012. I never had a problem and actually was very happy with them but I had always rented from the Penn Hills, PA location. I recently moved to an unfurnished home in Sarasota, FL. I went into the Sarasota, FL location of RAC and assumed it would be the same. I wanted 3 bedroom sets, a dining set, and a couch. They asked for a downpayment of $289 to get me started which I thought was very odd. They also did not have any of the selections of bedroom sets which were advertised on their website. I had to settle for what they had in their store which was one queen set and one twin set. The manager, Steve told me they could not deliver it for a few days. Stated they did not have enough employees or the merchandise. He also stated I would have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for my bedroom set to be in. After a week of waiting with still no furniture, I went back into the store and told Steve I no longer wanted the couch or the dining set. He then sent one employee alone the next days (this is the 9th day now after paying with no furniture) to deliver and set up one queen set and one twin set) by himself. He needed help and was sweating. I continued to wait on my bedroom set. In the meantime now it is mid March, I have been laid off from my job and am awaiting unemployment. I only owed technically for one week but I was being charged for 3 weeks! I received phone calls and no message. Saturday March 28th, I received a knock and doorbell ring at 11am. I did not ansswer, I then received 7 phone calls with no message from the rent a center store. At 7:30pm, I was out on a walk and my minor child informed me that there was a RAC employee pounding so hard on our glass door for several minutes and peering into our home and also insistently ringing our doorbell. I came home and the emplolyee had left by then. I called this emplolyee and told him to not come back. I also on Monday am called and spoke with Steve at the store and he called me names accused me of theft and was yelling at me. I tried to explain if I could get the furniture out of my house myself and give it back I would but I am physically unable to do so. I also told him no one is allowed into my home right now due to COVID-19. I stated once I start receiving any type of income I can pay . I also asked him why I was being charged $344. He could not explain this to me. The correct chage should be $155.

I feel due to the pandemic and lock down I should not have been harrassed and the payments should be frozen until I receive a payment;. I also want the amount corrected so that I can pay online. I've always paid RAC online and even automatic enrollment. I also want a manager to speak to Steve and let him know how poor his customer service is. I want store credit due to being a loyal customer for years and spending thousands of dollars to this store and I'd like to be credited for the poor customer service received here in Sarasota. (I am still sleeping on an air mattress thanks to their incompetence). Even if they did have the furniture now, a month later, I can not have them into my home to set it up. They should have had it in Feb or early March.

I have 3 accounts with Rent A Center. Been paying faithfully for about 2 years now. I have paid a week late at the most making a double payment but never anything beyond that. After not being able to start my new job due to this national pandemic I talked to Blake and told her I would be started this Monday when I get my 1st check I'd catch up. Next day I get a call from another associate saying I was put in for a payment by 3pm. Never made an agreement like that. So I explained I already talked to someone and now wasn't able to start due to this emergency pandemic. Jobs are shutting down. No new hires are being accepted. Which is talking a toll on my employment status. Which has never been an issue before. I have limitations that prevent me from working certain jobs so it's become more difficult then ever with this situation. Erin calls and asks if I could possibly make a payment just to pay off the little amount due on my washer and dryer. I agree that if my other source of income comes through most definitely I'd call Friday the 3rd for sure and let them know. Today April 1st I get a "Notice of Cure". This is the most disrespectful thing a place of business could be thinking about at this time. I would never not pay or anything like that. But now that I can't for (what we hope to be) a short amount of time you would think Rent A Center would put a pause on payments. Or extend the grace period before sending threatening letters like the one I received after making an agreement. Your corporate office is closed but somehow Rent A Center still expects everyone else to have income coming in. If I make it to catch up I will never buy another piece of anything from the again. This is affecting others more than this company will ever have to endure. An addition I will only be 2 payments behind this Friday April 3rd if I do not receive my other source of income Friday.

Was not refunded all I was supposed to be.
I paid a $15 charge to get started on two separate items. One was a laptop and the other a cell phone. The store manager bill called later that morning and said he could not do the items for me because of late charged from 2014. He told me I would be refunded my payments I made. I was only refunded for one $15 payment bot both as I was supposed to be.

I want the other $15 refunded to me since I am not recieving and will not be recieving the item that I made a payment on.

I purchased furniture through Ashley Furniture-Lemay. Acceptance Now is trying to get extra money from me for the furniture
I am trying to payoff my furniture purchase using my 90 day payoff and the amount is higher than expected. They keep making me make payments to a membership fee that I am no longer using after the month of April. My 90 day payoff continues to change because of extra fees added on the account. There is no online option for Me to make a 90 day payoff

I am asking that my extra membership fees paid be applied to my 90 day payoff so I can exercise my 90 day payoff option
