I had a large tree fall in my yard after a storm in June 2015. The yard it came from was a house managed by RW. I made contact with the tenant the next day and gave her my contact info which she gave to RW. Several days later when I heard nothing I contacted them on my own. All I wanted was the insurance company into. The receptionist hung up on me 3 time then fought with me telling me I had hung up. I finally got to Katie the maintenance manager who told me she had a lot going on and had not gotten to this yet. I gave her info and sent a bunch of photos. She called me back telling me the insurance info was private and she could not give it to me and that the owner of the rental property was having his people come work on the damage to my house and yard. I told her I own my home and it's not up to her owner who works on it that was my decision and I just wanted insurance info. The next day a landscaper with a hand saw came to "cut down a branch". It was a 100 ft tree that fell taking up 90% of my yard. Now 3 months later I had a worker knock on the glass door in my backyard this morning he told me "I do fence". I had no idea the person was coming or who they were. I reached out to the tenant who had gotten a phone call about they worker coming today, but I got nothing. The maintenance person, after I complained to higher ups in an email, left me a message and email me. Basically they say I should be happy the owner is fixing the broken fence.

This company has repeatedly treated me as if they can do whatever they want on my property. I'm not their tenant, I own my home. All I've asked us to be treated with common courtesy. Instead I've been hung up on, fought with, told they were too busy, told insurance info was private, had others arrange repairs on my property which they don't own. Only after another complaint did anyone even say they were happy my family was ok. At no time did anyone from the president of the company to the maintenance manager ever try to empathize with my situation. I was just bugging them. An acknowledgment of gosh I sorry the receptionist hung up on you. Boy I can't believe Katie told you she was too busy, or hey by the way workers will be in your yard tomorrow, would have shown ownership of the situation and the actions of their employees. All I can say is I'm thankful I'm not an owner or renter of one of their properties. I would never want to deal with them long term. I have not been unreasonable in anything I asked from them.

Renters Warehouse [redacted] was always helpful and readily available to answer any concerns we had. He also was easy to communicate with and returned all our calls promptly no matter what time of day. He followed up and really listened to our needs. I Highly recommend this Renters Warehouse.. Renters Warehouse is the absolute worst business to work with. I am a great tenant, I pay my rent, I take care of the property I am renting and I do everything that is asked of me. Their lack of communication is ridiculous. If you need something from them, good luck. They will turn their back and act as if you didn't ask for anything. When they need something from you though they will add fee and fine and threats left and right to be sure they get what they want out of you. Their business practices are horrible. Make sure you keep everything documented with them. Even if an employee tells you one thing the owner can call you the next day and tell you something completely different, and that is what goes. It is pretty sad if you ask me. My experience with them has been far beyond terrible, and I just want to be sure that everyone looking to use them is properly warned and knows what they will be getting themselves into. I wish I would have seen all the horrible reviews out there before we chose to rent with them.

Renters Warehouse was incredible - my house was rented less than 2 weeks after the moment I first contacted the company. The agent, Rae S[redacted], worked tirelessly until that house was rented. ZERO downtime - that woman worked her tail off to get the house rented. Communicating with me morning, day and night, managing relations with the tenants, showing the unit, handling the paperwork, and running the inspection - and I'm sure that we were only one of her many listings. Very, very impressive, and a great experience. I HIGHLY recommend Renters Warehouse and Rae S[redacted]

This was my first experience renting out my property. Philip H[redacted] from RW was provided great customer service. As an out-of-state owner, their on-line digital document management system was easy to use. Overall a great experience with RW and Philip. Thanks.

We have been using Renter’s Warehouse for about a year and it has been a great experience. [redacted] in particular has been extremely helpful in answering all my questions very quickly.

My experience with Renters Warehouse was wonderful from the beginning to end. My agent [redacted] was awesome on top of having a great personality; he got the perfect potential tenants for our house in only one day being in the market, which we ended up renting the house too, the whole process of closing the final contract with the Tenants toke less than 14 days. We did a lot research and called different companies before hiring Renter Warehouse, everyone said their average days to find a potential Tenant for a home was 30 days not counting all the hiding fees, in compare of Renters Warehouse 17 days and in our case was less than 14 days. [redacted] explained the process and fees all out front the first day we meet him, with nothing to hide; he also gave us a really good estimate of how much we could rent the house for and kept us posted of everything the entire process, also he was on top of all my questions and had an immediate response at all times, [redacted] exceeded my expectations. For that reason I recommend Renters Warehouse to everyone, they have nothing to hide and have a magnificent process and services.

We contacted Renters Warehouse regarding a house for rent that we saw on their website. We made an appointment with [redacted] Favorite to view the home. [redacted] was super! She was very friendly and answered all our questions. She made sure we knew everything about the home. Overall, our experience with [redacted] and Renters Warehouse was great!!

Michael R** was very knowledgable about the property, helped us through the whole process and was a great point of contact. I would recommend Renters Warehouse to anyone searching for a home, and do yourself a favor, ask for Michael R** so you can experience the great customer service we did.

My Renters Warehouse agent was [redacted], and I was very pleased.
I didn't quite know what to expect, but [redacted] was very patient,
answered my questions--and even anticipated some. He also went out of his way to make sure my property was in it's best possible condition when it was time to show it to potential tenants.

Review: I received my keys on November 15th. Five work orders were created the first week about issues from previous ternate, one of which was a leaking toilet....

Some more issues include MOLD and exposed live ELECTRICAL wires. The mold issue was preexisting and the home was not inspected in between tenants to ensure the home was safe to live in. Because of this, I was without a kitchen for a month and still have appliances that are not working properly with the concern of mold still existing. This issue was brought to their attention on Feb 16th!

This is the response from the MANAGEMENT TEAM:

After reviewing the logs and documentation, Management feels we did address everything in a timely manner. It also looked like the Owner did respond back to us in a timely manner. Since they feel everything was done, on our part, to get the issues addressed, that we wouldn't be liable for compensation.

The electrical ticket was created on March 4th, over a month later, it still isn't taken care of even after being escalated.

They do not care about the safety of me, my children, my time or anything for that matter.Desired Settlement: I wish to be refunded or credited AT LEAST 3 months rent and all outstanding issues to be taken care of, repaired or replaced with a sense of urgency, since they are potentially dangerous to my daughters and I.

Response:

Some issue are almost always found on move in even after an inspection. You can move into a brand new home and find something as well. It is unfortunate but is is a fact of life. The mold issue that the tenant is claiming is still present is not an issue. The tenant feels that there is mold. A licensed company went to address the issue in a timely manner and there is no indication of mold. An air quality test was redone and the same results came in. There is no mold that can be found at the property. Additionally, there are no exposed wires as the tenant claims. We have photos to prove that there are no live wires exposed. There is no matter at the property that is a danger to the tenants health or safety. The tenants request of compensation is unfounded and will not be given.

Consumer

Response:

The electrical ticket that was opened in March has not been resolved. One photo attached is the exposed live wires, the other is left over wood from previous kitchen counter that was reused. There has been close to/or over 10 tickets created since move in, those tickets include but not limited to: Broken Toilet, Broken Dishwasher, Broken Garbage Disposal, Mold in the kitchen and Electrical issues.

Response:

All work at this property has been completed. Again, issues do arise occasionally regarding maintenance. Mechanical items fail at times and this cannot be changed. The tenant brings up items from the past that have already been repaired. The final repair was completed and there are no open tickets that can be seen at this time.

I have been looking for a house to rent for about a month. The process was worse than I have ever experienced. I would find a property, 9 times out of ten I wouldn’t even get a call back and the properties would just disappear from the websites. If I did hear back, I would soon find that those agents would not even show me the property unless I could move within two weeks. It is just myself and my son and the thought that our lease ends in a month and I didn’t even know where we were going to go made things pretty stressful. I really wanted to find a nice neighborhood where my little man would be happy.
Then I was lucky to stumble across properties listed with Renters Warehouse. [redacted] responded immediately and answered all of my questions without the run around I experienced from other agents I had felt dealt with in the process. Two days later I was walking through the place, and that evening he notified me that he ran my information by the owner and that we were approved. His quick and concise communication completely turned the experience around for me and I finally felt like a person again rather than just data on a form. I appreciate your company so much and I am so happy you have people like [redacted] who really cares about what he does and the people that he helps doing it. Thank you for helping us find a new home.
