Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
[redacted] I am not happy with your reply.  I would like a full refund! The restaurants that I purchased coupons for did not sign a contract with Restaurant.com.  I am a frequent customer of The [redacted] Cafe and I had a personal in depth conversation with the owner and she stated that she was never a participant of Restaurant.com, in fact she stated that the company constantly called her and she began to hang up on them.I do not trust this company and I would like my money back I did not receive the product or the customer service that I paid for.

To Whom It May Concern: We have received the complaint of [redacted] (Revdex.com # [redacted]) dated March 29, 2016.  We want to thank Ms. [redacted] for contacting Restaurant.      The primary identifier in our database for our customers is their email address.  The email Ms. [redacted]...

provided in the Revdex.com Complaint is not in our database.   We request that Ms. [redacted] provide another email address, an order number, or the number shown on the certificate or eGift Card, or even the restaurant, so that we can research her complaint more fully.  Nevertheless, I wanted to provide a general answer regarding the Restaurant.com program.   For over 15 years, Restaurant.com has been an established online marketing service for restaurants, currently working with thousands of restaurant operators across the country to grow their businesses.   Our service is an innovative and cost-effective way for restaurant owners to advertise and market their restaurants at no up-front cost.  Restaurant.com sends the customers into the restaurant by offering discounted promotional certificates to consumers on behalf of the restaurant, for which the consumer pays Restaurant.com directly.  Each of the restaurants on our program enters into a binding contract with Restaurant.com, requesting that we offer certificates on behalf of the restaurant.  We do not list restaurants who have agreed to participate.  The restaurant’s primary obligation under the contract is to honor the certificates when customers present them.   Once we receive the information from Ms. [redacted], we will be able to contact the restaurant to resolve the apparent misunderstanding.  Nevertheless, as Ms. [redacted] stated, the restaurant honored the certificate and Ms. [redacted] received the discount off of her meal. Ms. [redacted] may contact [redacted] one of our customer service specialists, at [redacted] with the information.  I am confident that Laurent will be able to assist Ms. [redacted], and answer any additional questions she may have.  Thank you. To Whom It May Concern: We have received a complaint from Rene [redacted] (Revdex.com#11107917) dated January 27, 2016, regarding the Green Light Kitchen restaurant in Beaumont, Texas.  On January 27, 2016, per Mr. [redacted]’s request, Restaurant.com has removed the restaurant from our website and...

stopped selling certificates for the restaurant.  We have also sent an email to customer who purchased a certificate for this restaurant and provided instructions on how they can exchange the certificate for use at another participating restaurant.  For over 10 years, Restaurant.com has been an established online marketing service for restaurants, currently working with over 20,000 independent operators across the country to grow their businesses.   Our service is an innovative and cost-effective way for restaurant owners to advertise and market their restaurants at no up-front cost.  The service works like this:  A restaurant signs up with one of our restaurant consultants and Restaurant.com then builds the restaurant a custom website, hosts copies of the restaurant’s menus and pictures of the restaurant, provides a reservation service, advertises the restaurant throughout the Internet through search engine marketing and through partnerships with major corporations and portals, sends out surveys on the Internet and physically sends customers through the doors of the restaurant.  Restaurant.com sends the customers into the restaurant by offering discounted promotional certificates to consumers on behalf of the restaurant, for which the consumer pays Restaurant.com directly.   Per Mr. [redacted]’s request, Restaurant.com has removed the restaurant from our website and stopped selling certificates for the restaurant.  We are also in the process of proving the information to Mr. [redacted] to show authorization to include the restaurant in our program. Mr. [redacted] can contact Phil Inserra, at [email protected] or call our restaurant service department at [redacted] if he has any further questions. Thank you. Very truly yours, Aaron [redacted]Restaurant.com Tell us why here...

To Whom It May Concern:   We have received the complaint of [redacted] (Revdex.com #[redacted]) dated June 11, 2016.   Ms. [redacted] purchased two theater packages which contained two tickets to an [redacted] concert and two $50 Restaurant.com gift cards.  The price for the...

theater package is $89.99 each.  In total, Ms. [redacted] paid $188.98 (which also included shipping and handling charges).  Ms. [redacted] has a question about the advertised price.   The advertised value represents that box office ticket price for the seat provided to Ms. [redacted].  The price stated on the ticket represents a lower price we were able to obtain by the group rate and incentive pricing available to us.  The group rate/incentive pricing is not available to an individual purchaser, and is not available without the combination with the Restaurant.com gift card purchase.   The terms and conditions of the promotion specifically stated this pricing:  “Face value of the ticket will reflect the prevailing group rate for the performance selected.”    In addition to the [redacted] ticket, Ms. [redacted] also received a $50 Restaurant.com gift card.  Thus, the total value of the promotion is $144.35.  That there may be other promotions available does not reduce the value of the theater package.   In sum, the advertised value represents that box office ticket price for the seat provided to Ms. [redacted].  The price stated on the ticket represents a lower price we were able to obtain through the group rate and incentive pricing available to us.  The group rate/incentive pricing is not available to an individual purchaser, and is not available without the combination with the Restaurant.com gift card purchase.    We expect that Ms. [redacted] enjoyed the show and the discount on dinner by using the Restaurant.com gift cards.   Thank you.   Sincerely,   [redacted] Restaurant.com

To Whom It May Concern:   We have received additional correspondence from Eric [redacted] ([redacted].  Mr. [redacted] inadvertently paid for a restaurant certificate using his credit card, rather than redeeming a Restaurant.com eGift Card for the restaurant certificate.  Our records do not show that Mr. [redacted] redeemed (or attempted to redeem) a gift card.  We have issued a full refund to Mr. [redacted].   Restaurant.com has two paths for obtaining a restaurant certificate.  A customer can pay for a certificate or a customer can redeem credit (either a gift card or egift card).  Each one has a separate path on our website.  It appears that Mr. [redacted] inadvertently used the purchase path rather than the redemption path.  As noted above, Restaurant.com has issued a full refund to Mr. [redacted]’s credit card for the purchase.   The Gift Card redemption for the restaurant specific certificate occurs electronically on our website.  Here are the instructions on how to redeem an Gift Card:   To Redeem your e-Gift card online 1.
