Review: This company engages in deceptive and dishonest business practices.

I responded to an ad on my Facebook news feed for a a free trial of Revita anti-wrinkle cream for $5.95 for shipping and handling. This required my giving them my credit card number. I ordered it on March 2nd and received the product on March 9th.

On March 21st, I noticed a charge on my credit card statement for $85.95 from this company. When I called the customer service number, I was told I had agreed to a monthly subscription at $85.95 a month.

There was nothing in the ad that mentioned this. The order confirmation sent by email didn't mention this and was from "Customer Service." No company name or address was on the email.

"Customer Service" agreed to cancel my subscription and give me a 15% discount.

I can't believe I fell for this scam. I see that I am not alone as they have many other complaints against them for similar issues.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $85.95

Response:

Hello,

We are in receipt of you complaint on behalf of the customer.

We understand the customer frustrations and have responded to the complaint by

providing a refund of $25.79 on 3/22/2015 and an additional $60.16 on 3/30/15. Please allow up to 10

business days for the credit to show from the refunded date. Also, please

be aware that it was stated in the terms and conditions that the customer would

be charged for the full 30 days for the trial bottle if they didn't cancel

before the 14 days was over. The system does not and will not allow the client

to proceed to the checkout section to complete the purchase unless he

acknowledges the terms and condition of the product. The customer is

automatically signed onto our monthly subscription until they call in and ask

to cancel the product. After the customer finishes their 30 day supply of

the product, they will be charged on the card on file for a 30 day supply plus

shipping and handling. Usually, the customer must receive and RMA number from

the customer service department to return the product and they will then

receive a refund. Nevertheless, the customer account has been cancelled

and will no longer be receiving anymore products or be charged. It was stated

in the terms and conditions every customer agrees to before proceeding to check

out. The customer must call in and cancel their account before the 14 day trial

is over. If the customer fails to cancel their account, they will be charged

for the trial product and be subscribed onto our monthly subscription. Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: This company is connected to a company called [redacted]. When you order the sample from [redacted] it automatically adds a sample from this company plus an unauthorized membership of a 30 day supply of this item for $42.00 without your authorization. When asked to refund the credit back to my credit card they have refused. Their partner company says refund has to be settled with Revita Eye although the original order was thru [redacted]. They have the exact same address location.Desired Settlement: Since I had to close the credit card account, a refund should be sent directly to me.

Hello,

Review: I decided I was unhappy with the product and called about returning the product for a full refund. I was even willing to pay the return postage.

my customer servicer rep - jaymart - said no returns allowed, and would only offer me a discount. first level was 15%, then after some conversation it was a 30% discount, and then after more conversation and being put on hold again, 50% was offered.

I told her I was still not happy, but I took the 50% and said I would be issuing a complaintDesired Settlement: thus, to resolve this complaint, I would like the other 50% to be refunded to my credit card of $42.98.

Hello,

Review: This company is fake and fraud. They charged me for 6 months without sending any products claiming that they have sent products. They charged payments without my authorization and stole from my credit card. They lie and cheat. Scam all scam. Charged for products that I never recievedDesired Settlement: I need my money back that I have been charged from this company. They charged me 2 separate charges for 6 months.

Review: They stated they shipped out the FREE trial product it has not been received. I called after they billed my card for the FREE trail and advised them I had not gotten it. They said it was delivered, I asked for proof of delivery with my signature to show I got it. They could not provide proof I got it. They told me if I had not gotten it I had to file the complaint with the post office. However I called the post office and they told me the shipper has to file the claim I can not do it. I called the company and they offered me a 30% refund. I said no I did not get the product and they needed to refund me in full right now and file their claim with the post office. I want a full refundDesired Settlement: Full refund of 90.90 85.95 plus 4.95 shipping

Review: False advertising (regarding a "free" product sample) that was misleading regarding return policy and cancellation of further shipments of (full size) product.

After I received the "free" product sample for which I paid only the shipping and handling ($5) as stated in the offer, I called the customer service number to cancel my "subscription" (further shipments of product at a high price $89 I cannot afford as a retiree on a limited income), I was given only the choice of 1) in order to cancel my "subscription" with no further shipment, my credit card would be charged $42 for the "free" sample I already received or 2) I could return my "free" sample at my own expense, to only be honored ONLY IF product received by company within a small time frame. If time frame was exceeded, I would be charged $89 for an additional shipment.

I believe there is nothing "free" about this offer, and that if the conditions had been revealed clearly, no one would agree to these hidden conditions.

The only way for me to avoid paying $89 more would be to pay $42 to retain my "free" sample, or return the product at my expense--none of these choices would result in my keeping the "free" sample or NOT having to pay an additional amount. Fraudulent and misleading advertising.

Misleading. Intent to defraud by making misleading statements.Desired Settlement: False advertiser should be made to refrain from making false "free" offers.

Review: I ordered the face cream from the website Beau Derma website on 12/29/2014. This was a 14 day free trial with my responsibility of shipping. When I placed my first order for the face cream, it asked it I would like to include the eye cream. I agreed and paid for the shipping for that as well. I printed of the terms and conditions with the instructions and phone number to cancel within the 14 day trial, which started the day it was shipped...not when it arrived.Within 3 days of using both products my skin was flaky, red, blotchy and it burned to use it. On 01/07/2015, I called the number printed on the Terms and Conditions that they provided to cancel any future orders and charges to my debit card. They said they were going to cancel my orders and charge me 1/2 of the 93.00 for a monthly subscription because I used half. This was not stated in the Terms and Conditions. Customer Service said if I returned the products within 22 days, they would not charge my debit card further.Today, 01/12/2015 I was charged $85.95 with a number to call. I called the number (which was different from the one listed on Terms and Conditions). They said I didn't call this separate number to cancel the eye cream. However, I've sent both used products back to the address they provided. They said they best they could do was refund my 50% (and that was after 20 minutes of negotiating). In the Terms and Conditions, it didn't state that I needed to call two different numbers, it did not state I needed to return the unused portion, it did not state it would charge me for 1/2 of the month during the 14 day free trial.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $85.95.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The terms and conditions did not provide the number to cancel the product within 14 days. It provided a different number that didn't cancel they eye cream. The terms and conditions also did not state that I would be charge anything in addition to the shipping and handling if I cancelled with in the 14 day FREE trial. They have deliberately deceived consumers and I demand the remaining $42.97. I returned the unused portion of the product to the company, at my own shipping expense. In addition to being ripped off, this product made my skin burn and flake.

Response:

Hello,

Review: I purchased a "free trial" of the Revita Eye product online in March and provided my credit card information to pay for shipping. The online ad did not mention any details regarding auto shipment beginning if trial wasn't cancelled in 14 days and additional charges being applied. I received the product in a manila shipping envelope a few days later with no receipt or other paperwork, and no information about cancelling the trial. I tried it for several days, but discontinued use as it burned the skin around my eyes and caused it to crack and flake. I received another shipment about a month later, but I didn't look into it at the time because I had a death in the family and there was a lot going on. When I received another bottle on June 11, I went and found my credit card statements and realized I had been charged $91.90 for each shipment. I had to go online to find a phone number for them since they did not provide any contact information with the bottles they shipped. When I called, after a great deal of argument, they finally agreed to give a 100% refund for the bottle I just received. However, they stated that they couldn't refund anything for the bottles I received in March and April, since it was over 30 days and outside of their 30 day money back guarantee, even though I never even opened the shipping envelope. It seems very strange to me that I had to argue for a refund at all for the bottle I just received if they have a 30 day guarantee-they initially didn't want to give me anything, then tried 15%, until they finally agreed to a full refund, but only for that bottle. They said there were no supervisors available, and wouldn't give me any company information. I did finally find online, buried in the middle of their Terms & Conditions, the information about the auto ship and automatic credit card charges if you don't cancel within 14 days, but it was not in a prominent position and was easy to miss. This reeks of deceptive and predatory business practices!Desired Settlement: I will gladly return all of the product for a full refund.

Hello,

Review: Ordered a Trial Offer of Revita Eye for a one time shipping & handling fee of $5.95. Under their terms & conditions it says If you contact customer service to terminate your trial enrollment within 14 day of the date that you enroll in the program, you will not receive any additional product and you will not be charged anything else. I did that and they are asking for it to be returned. It says nothing in the terms & conditions for the trial offer for it to be returned. I told them they could have it if they supply me w/a return label, I don't think I should have to pay for shipping to return it. It said that nowhere for the trial offer.Desired Settlement: For me not to pay for returning this item. This is false advertising.

Review: Company misrepresents product and payment plan. A trial offer is sent and there is no information that you are enrolled in an auto pay program on your credit card. No other product is shipped and you are charged $85.00 for a tiny sample of the product. When you finally find a phone number to call (there are no instructions given with the product, no way to return the product and no instructions) there are no representatives to talk to and no way to get any money returned. I'm afraid now that they have my credit card they will continue to charge me. I will be notifying my bank of this scam and the unauthorized charges. This company is an internet scam and I'm embarrassed I feel for it. They advertise with [redacted], which is probably also a scam. I want to warn others about this company. Please investigate them and warn others.Desired Settlement: I would love to have my money fully refunded. I can only imagine how many people they have taken money from, especially when they have your credit card information. I will never do anything like this again.

Review: I ordered revita eye on the phone along with skin enhance cream for you face, for a trial 30 days. When I received them I didn't receive any type of contract with them. Now after 2 weeks I'm receiving a bill for the amount of $85.95 for the revita eye and $89.95 for the skin enhance. I was able to get them on the phone and got a run around for the revita eye and they told me to call the same number for the skin enhance, which I did with no results. I have called several times with no results and was finally able to hit 0 for c/s and talk to a live person and still got no where. I sent the product's back because it burnt my face and I told them that and they said I can't do that and that they would send it back.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund in the amount of 175.90 if my bank can't stop my ATM. I am on disability and my husband is retired so we are on a fixed income and can't afford to be taken by these Companies. It's not fair to the consumer's!

Review: I ordered an advertised free trial size of Revita Eye and Beau Derma. The products are still unused. Today I received a second order of the products. I called the company and they would only credit my account for the products that came today. They said the free trial was the full size and I had 14-28 days to return it for a refund. I ordered from a mailing, not the computer, and I went by the statement in their brochure; If you are not completely satisfied just call us. and cancel your subscription. There is no time frame indicated..

They are guilty of false and misleading information.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of the first shipment.; it is $85.95 for one product and $89.95 for the second one.

Response:

Hello,

Worst product, DO NOT USE THIS UNLESS YOU WANT AN ALLERGIC REACTION. Charged me after my trial and refused to refund me when I told them I did not know. Got an allergic reaction and they did not even care. Staff is very rude and no help at all.

Review: The problem is that the company Revita Eye advertises on yahoo news and other webites a product for skincare. The advertisement ends with information on how to obtain a free sample of the product. In order to get the product, you must pay for shipping, which is how they obtain your credit card. The free product arrives in about 10 business days, then a few days later they charge your credit card $89.95 for a reoccuring subscription fee to thier product. No where in the advertisement does it say anything about being charged for a subscription or if there is any obligation to anything for signing up to the free trial product. Upon calling the company to get these charges removed from my credit card, there were multiple road blocks to even getting someone on the phone and to recognize that you were charged for a product. They then explain that the free product is only for 2 weeks and then they start charging you monthly. It took me 2 hours on the phone and enduring a lot of abuse and stall tactics by the customer agent, to finally agree to refund my money. I am still on the hook for the return shipping of the product that I never even wanted in the first place. They claim that there is a box that you must check to agree to terms and conditions before ordering the free trial product. In this 30 page document of fine print it supposedly tells of the procedure. This may be true or may not, I have not confirmed. Regardless of weather that 30 page document says it or not, it is obvious that the company is hiding this fact as best as possible from the consumer so that they will inevitably be charged the $85.95 fee. Even if I knew that I had to call and cancel in order to not be charged, I would not have had time to do so, because the free trial product arrived after the end of the trial period. This is obviously by design. Any reputable company would disclose exactly what you are getting into upon signing up.Desired Settlement: I want the company investigated for fraud and deceptive practices. I do not want anybody else to endure what I went through just to not be scammed out of my money. I also want a written apology from the company, and I want it mailed to my address.

Response:

Hello,

Review: The companies two websites Revitaeye.com and [redacted] were promoting skin care items at a trial price of 5.99. Once ordered they automatically ship you new product every 30 days for 90-95 dollars each. Not only is there product shipped without any labeling or information, they refuse to take the product back once shipped. When I ordered the sample the terms and conditions were not clearly outlined. This is clearly a scam to get credit card numbers and charge them every 30days. This is not a reputable company and there is no information or scientific studies behind the outlandish claims being made. They are making money based on false claims that a product will yield results that are completely false.Desired Settlement: I also believe it is important that this company is investigated for scamming consumers and selling unlabelled merchandise. they are shipping skin cream in unmarked jars with no ingredients, or directions for use. They are making claims that have not been tested. There is no information on the company other than their website.

Hello,

Review: I was to recieve a free trial offer with only having to pay shipping. I recieved the product called thr company to make sure I wouldn't be charged for anything else. They assured me they had closed my account. I wasn't even aware I had opened an account. They sent me an email confirming that the account had been closeD and that the s&h fee of $4.95 is all I would b charged. Everything was fine till this morning when I checked my account and had been charged 89.95 from this same company. I called them back and was told that it was two different companies with two different phone numbers and that I had to call and cancel with them. By now it has been more than the 15 days to cancel so im stuck paying for something that was advertised for free and an overdraft fee from my bank. The company agreed to repay me 50% within 48 hours. I dont know if I should close the account and change my card or wait... plz help.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund including the overdraft fee and their advertising to be more specific.
