On May 14, 2018, I received an unsolicited phone call from Secure One Capital that left a message on my voicemail claiming to be on behalf of my current mortgage lender claiming to lower my rate and payment.

I called back to get more information and they had the incorrect address but other correct details of my personal information. I was eventually able to speak with *** that day and he put me on their internal don not call/contact list.

On May 25, 2018, I just received a text from Secure One Capital again trying to solicit my business.

As part of their privacy policy, you agreed that *** “May share your information to any third-party for any purpose …“ Essentially, you granted *** and its affiliates the right to contact you and sell that right with lenders like us. Unfortunately, there is not anything we can do to ensure you are removed from their distribution list and we can only make an effort to internally remove you from ours. We make every effort to adhere to all state and federal laws and apologize that we are part of the annoyance that has caused this complaint. We are happy to speak with you in greater detail about this and help in any way possible.

The call you received from Secure One Capital on 05/14/2018, originated from our office and a message was left on your voicemail. This is not a robo call of any sorts.

We believe that when you spoke with *** of 05/14/2018, that your phone number was added to our internal DNC list as requested and we have not reached out to you.

As you can imagine, with current mortgage market conditions, we are forced to work with various partners to initiate contact with people who are interested in mortgage programs. We feel our campaigns are friendly, inviting, and informative. We give every individual every opportunity to opt out of any one campaign. I am really satisfied with Secure One Capital refinance program especially with Bruce Edgell. When other mortgage companies said I had to wait and their was nothing that they can do. I want to share an experience I and my husband had with Secure One Capital Corp they are a wonderful Corp they help me and my husband get out of a bad loan with The Hero program which changed out contract without us knowing we where unable to fin our home or do anything because they had a first lean on our home but this Corp with the help of Adam Afghani helped us refin and pay that loan off in 15 days we have never went through a refin that fast in our whole time of owning a home we where so grateful we will always use them for our home business. we thanked them so very much

Another great experience with Secure One. Rick Albrecht was exceptional. He checked in with me regarding refinancing before interest rates went up. Glad he did because we received a very good interest rate. Rick was very attentive throughout the loan process. He continued to contact me with loan status or just to see if we had any questions or concerns. They helped with debt ratio, lower mortgage payment, etc. The loan was finalized very quickly and we did not have any problems. This is our 3rd loan with Secure One (not all same property) which has resulted in us being in a much better payment/debt ratio and lower payments. We've had fantastic service and experiences with each loan.

I contacted Secure One from a letter that was mailed to me, concerning a new law that affected some homeowners who had Hero loans. Ryan *** was very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. He explained that I had enough equity in my home to refinance and to pay off that awful 20 year Hero loan. So, things were done as expeditiously as could be. Mr. was always a phone call away. The loan then closed and funded and there were no harassing calls from my old mortgage co. telling me I hadn't paid my last month's bill. Ryan *** handled the whole thing very well and has helped guide me through the process.

Explain to him my concerns and he was amazing. always available for my calls, questions step by step. he also inform me of each next step. it was fast and easy. now I feel relieved I'm on the right track to improve my great. he provided me with an even better rate than the previous company I was going with. I reached out to multiple companies to try and refinance my house, but was always unsuccessful because of my low credit score. I decided to give it one more try and contacted Secure One Capital, which in hind sight, was the best thing I could have done. Elmer Lovos was the representative that helped me out during this process and I couldn't be more appreciative of how he took care of business. Whether it was early morning or late at night, he took the time and made sure to respond to my questions/concerns right away. If I decide to refinance in the future, I will definitely be contacting Elmer to handle my file again. I would recommend Secure One Capital to everyone, especially those with low credit scores who are under the assumption that they won't be approved anywhere because my credit score is near the bottom of the barrel, and they were able to help me out!

I had nothing else But a wonderful experience from day one, I had an amazing loan officer [Elmer ***] that guide us all the way thru during our refinance process, I will recommend his service a lot and defenetly I will use him again sometime in the future, again thanks for all the help and service you provide to us.

I refinanced back in June 2017 with a decent rate. In January 2018 Bruce *** called me advising me that he could get me a lower interest rate, of which I chose to take advantage. Every time I had a question he was right there to provide the answer along with an explanation. The notary came to my home to sign the final closing documents and she was absolutely great! I cannot say enough positive things about this company and especially Bruce ***. He took all the worries and questions in stride, always either answering the phone or returning my call within 30 minutes. Bruce is a rock star!!!

The person who helped us was *** and he said we could lock interest rate 4.375%, we shouldn’t wait because interest only going up so we did. We did everything and sent him everything on time. I verified with *** that we were still locked at the rate he quoted because I notice on the form that it was not checked off. He promised that it was via email, but it turned out that it wasn’t really locked until the appraisal of the house came in and from there we were locked at 4.75% and told of this only a couple of hours prior to scheduling to sign documents. Upset, husband and I spoke to ***, one of the CEO for company. He said he would look into our situation before signing. Next day he said that he apologized for the situation and rush our loan since we were suppose to sign previous day (Wednesday). We were told we would sign next day. Received a vague email from *** that we’re we’re going to have a notary call and come to our house some time that day (Thursday) to sign, but no one called. I had to follow up with ***, ***, and *** of what happened. Only person who called back was ***, did not know what happened. Will make sure we sign following day (Friday). I had to follow up with him next day. Had to request info of the notary at this point because lost the trust that service was being provided. Made arrangements for notary to come Friday evening to sign. Followed up with *** that everything was okay and was scheduled to close. *** assurred me everything closed.. I checked to make sure it was funded to current lender., it was not so called and questioned ***. At that time he said notary said we failed to sign doc for title. I know we signed doc let *** know. He told us to just resign. It’s a waste of time to refill doc that we already filled explained to *** to please be our advocate and relook at docs. Said *** not avail, called notary, *** said He makes sure that form I is always signed and he did not recall saying that we failed to sign.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed

*** and *** did mention a compensation check that would be mailed to our home shortly before we signed loan docs, but we have not as of today received any such check that is to compensate the interest that we have loss (4.375% vs 4.75%). Please verify and send us a paper trail if this check was ever sent to us. I highly doubt *** or *** ever followed up with this. This is a big problem in customer service and trust that future customers should be aware of with this company. We are still very upset with ***. *** nor *** has ever tried to call us back to follow up. *** did speak with my husband Chris shortly after I put this complain in and he said that he would be in touch AFTER he returned from his business trip, but he never called my husband back to follow up. I am pleading with Revdex.com to seriously look into this company because I feel that everything we had gone thru in refinancing should not have been as bad as what we went thru. It saddens me that even *** the CEO of this company could not even follow up with our problem with ***.

I looked into the complaint, spoke with both *** and *** and I am interested in resolving the issue in the best interest of all people.

Several days before loan docs being sent out, less than 24 hours from appraisal received we contacted them to explain that the past 21 days in the mortgage market was volatile and the 10-year bond and mortgage rates went up quickly.

They were upset that the loan had not been locked, but we could not lock because the LTV was near 80%, if the value came in slightly lower we would not have been able to do the financing for them. They thought about what to do for several days but called back and were fine with the new loan terms. *** advised them that due to their understanding I would be happy to credit a portion of the fees and they were very grateful for the gesture.

They proceeded to sign.

During the rescission period, they were very anxious to fund. They hadn’t made this months payment, and it was going to come down to the final hour before we could close because docs had not come back yet. Once documents were received, we noticed that a page was crossed out and the notary advised us that the borrowers did not wish to provide the relevant information on the statement of information. We explained this to both husband and wife that if we did not have that completed for the title, we would not make the deadline. Opposed to getting it done they argued with us. Mrs *** ended up hanging up on ***. *** proceeded to contact the husband, and without hesitation, he agreed to complete and sign the form meanwhile Mrs. Was drafting a complaint to the Revdex.com. The loan funded that day. On time!

After the loan had funded, both *** and *** attempted to reach them to discuss the complaint filed. Our service, our process, our communication during the entire process was above par. Mr. and Mrs. had time to review the changes in loan terms, and *** pointed them to the ten-year movement from application until appraisal received to date. Because client satisfaction is so important to us, *** wanted verbal confirmation that they understood and were okay with everything. *** did not offer money in exchange for their satisfaction. It was unfortunate that the market moved the way that it had, and *** was saddened for them and made every attempt to ensure satisfaction.

We find all of this extremely odd ... We were in active communication with the parties, they expressed verbal satisfaction to us over the phone. They had our emails, phone numbers, and we were very quick to respond. The dissatisfaction in her complaint was not addressed with us, and if it had been, it would have resolved.

Several attempts to reach them after the close of their loan to discuss the complaint resulted in no return phone calls or emails. It was apparent to us that they did not want to resolve the issue. So we considered the matter closed.

To address the “compensation,” we agreed to pay. No money was due. This money was not offered because we did something wrong. It was a consideration because we felt bad that the market shifted. We agreed to provide a credit based on the understanding that this was an unintentional mistake that could not have been avoided. We did not offer this as a carrot but an extension of gratitude

I want to share my positive experience that I had with secure one capital got exactly what I was offer by yony lovos he said will close in two weeks and exactly two weeks the deal was done very helpful answers all my questions and needs I'm so happy I found secure one capital thank you yony l***.

I had used Secure One in the past and was elated when I was contacted by Melissa Rivero, who previously worked for Secure One, to do my refi, as we had discussed previously. It wasn't until the refi process was well in hand when I realized she did dnot work for Secure One, she actually worked for United Lending, which means she solicited my business while working for another company. Anyway, The refi was going as expected, Melissa told me it was approved and all was wonderful, not to pay my November and December mortgage payment until November 27, 2018, when not her, but her supervisor, Eddie, called and told me I needed to pay November's mortgage? Of course I was upset and said that is not what I was told, and in fact had spoken to Melissa in regard to me paying off some of my little credit card debt with that money. When I explained this to Eddie, he basically called me a liar and said they would never have said that. When I told him I had it in writing in an email, he apologized and said he would "look into it." Then, later he called and wanted me to pull a cash advance off one of my credit cards with a zero balance in order to pay another credit card balance down??? I was very disturbed regarding this, because it would give me yet another credit card payment to have to pay each month. However, I did it, as I was too far into it and financially in a bind due to the late November mortgage. He also told me he would give me some kind of Lender Credit to compensate for this request. Later, I contacted Janene S, whom I've spoken with the in past asking if someone could look into my case and was later contacted by Rick A. I explained to him what United Lending had done to me and asked was there anything his company could do to help me out. Rick was very understanding and informative as to my choices to get this done in a quick manner, due to the money bind I was starting to get into with the mess United Lending had done. We decided that an FHA loan would be the fastest, even though I really wanted a conventional loan. We then discussed closing all or most of my credit cards, as them sitting with a zero balance for so long is almost worse for your credit then just closing them. He advised me they would pay most of my credit card debt down, I would then close the cards, and my credit score would take a hit for the moment, but would bounce back quickly and in 6 to 10 months, we can refi again, into a conventional loan, get everything done to my benefit, then I would be done forever with the refi nonsense. Bottom line, Rick did this with such grace and understanding, when the mess was created by a different company, and was able to get it all done and closed in a little over 10 days. He was such a dream to work with, always answered my phone calls or emails when I had a question. Even when there was an error in my paperwork found when the notary came for me to sign, I called him immediately, he contacted the underwriting department, was able to have them fix the paperwork and notary came out a couple days later. Even with that hiccup, it was so less painful then my previous mess. I would never recommend *** to anyone. I would send anyone to Rick for his business. He is knowledgeable, helpful, understanding and patient with any and all questions you would have. I will be calling in the future to do my one last refi to a conventional loan and using Rick and his team. They are an absolute dream team to work with. So Rick, thank you from the bottom of my heart, for taking on the mess someone else created in my life with grace and understanding. It truly meant the world to me. Thank you very much!!

Chase C is the most responsive person your could ever hope to deal with.
I work 200 miles from home, and don't come home until weekends. Chase made everything go smooth and the process only took 2-3 weeks. This is the second time I have used Secure One. They gave several options to choose from and no pressure whatsoever. he assigned staff to assist me and worked around my schedule.

I was very thankful to Bruce and the Secure One Capital team.
