Select Home Warranty mailed a check in the amount of to the customer on 09/01/

We did speak with the customer and have assisted with a reimbursement for the claim

Mr [redacted] spoke with the customer and the customer requested to have their warranty cancelledWe will be cancelling the customers warranty at a pro rated discounted rate and have agreed to wave their cancellation feeCancellation is currently processed and a check will be mailed out to the customer shortly

I am rejecting this response because: they sent a technician of Air conditionSelect home warranty didn't cover any penny I paid in full to that technician too, he over charged for Freon.Paid almost $for that service even my system not holding that much Freonwhen he start putting Freon from the beginning he start shaking his Freon container until end his jobHow you push that much Freon if its empty If they need Will sent a proof of receipt toowhen I called other electric problems that has to be cover no where it mentioned on the contract that out lets that attached with my home walls will not coverThese companies are fraud trapping people differently and increasing balance in there heart and bank tooTheir all inexperience technician fail to provide services they are not suppose to charge any thing because they didn't diagnose problems and they leftI would like them to pay back of my money in full because they fails to provide services and keep running Fraud businessThey need to stop this Nonsense innocent people trapping business

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Select Home Warranty has been saying this for two weeks now, but they persisted in telling us to get our own technician to fix the problem and they would reimburse us Due to the record heat, we contacted our own technician who came immediately, and had the technician speak with Select Home Warranty to authorize the repair and he advised him that this was due to wear and tear The motor for the blower fan is years old and reached or exceeded its expect service life We paid for the repair which was $577, and then submitted the pictures and the invoice to Select Home Warranty We received a reply from Select Home Warranty telling us we would only be reimbursed $due to customer neglect This was not neglect, but wear and tear Therefore I am rejecting their response Regards, [redacted]

The policy agreement is clear on what is covered and what isn'tWe have already gone above the policy terms and have waived the cancellation fee

Select Home Warranty will be contacting the customer directly as they have cancelled the policy twice once in writing and again verbally and have changed their mind We will finalize how the customerwould like us to proceed We will also go over the coverage of primary HVAC units and secondary heating units, which was the original issue that prompted the customers dissatisfaction with Select Home Warranty

We did go over the customers repair receipt and the repair is not a covered itemwe have approved $as a good willIf the customer does not want this we can withdraw the reimbursementWe have already spoke to the customer and explained why his issue is not covered

There is only one version of the contract and leaks are not coveredPlease see section 6.4.3This Agreement does NOT cover portable pools, spas or hot tubsThis Agreement does NOT cover the following list of modules, components and parts relating to the pool/spa: (i) pool sweep motors; (ii) lights; (iii) liners; (iv) structural defects; (v) solar equipment; (vi) jets; (vii) control switches; (viii) computerized control boards; (ix) ornamental fountains, waterfalls and their components; (x) pool covers; (xi) fill line and fill valve; (xii) buior detachable cleaning equipment including, but not limited to, pool sweeps, pop up heads, turbo valves; (xiii) pool chemicals; (xiv) skimmers; (xv) chlorinators; (xvi) fuel storage tanks; (xvii) heat pumps; (xviii) ionizers; and (xix) disposable filtration components;(xx)above ground pool/spa(xxi)leaks(xxii)plumbing

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: that is not the invoice, that is the estimate onlyBecause per their instruction before doing any work we have to submit to them first for approval otherwise there will be a delay on the reimbursement What we told them after that estimate was submitted is that my hsuband crawled to the small attic which none of the contractors we hired did, and he found the real issue where the was a nail that came off sticking out, and that is where the water is leaking fromSo in other words, the diagnosis of that contractor was wrong, it is not due to the shinglesBut the customer service said that since the diagnosis has already been provided, they cannot change it anymoreSo we asked them to provide their own contractor so we can show to them that the real issue is not the shinglesBut they kept on saying we have to fix the shingles first before they can do anything furtherWhich I refused, why would we need to fix the shingles that is not the cause of the issue and why do they need to make that a condition if they dont cover the shingles anywayThere is nothing in their policy that is has to be conditionalThey just dont want to provide the service that they said their compnay provide, this is advertisment! They always have an alibi and they are giving you information, that document we sent is not an invoice, it is only a estimate Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The reason I spend $a year is to make sure there will be a tech fix my house appliances when needed Select provide me a phone number and when I call the plumber they assign to me told me they don't have contract woth select And let me wait for another days and I have to find my own contractor I think I have been waisted my $with no services Regards, [redacted] ***

With respects to the customers refrigerator claim a clogged line is not covered A/C Claim: When the customer had this claim called in this is what they provided to the representative: During a semi-annual A/C checkup, was told by the technician that our supply plenum has come detached from the unit, our blower fan is clogged with dust, evaporator coil requires cleaningAlso told that master bedroom requires second vent, and was also told that the units are incorrect size for the house (ton size).Based on the information provided to us by the customer all their concerns are maintenance related issues which is not covered under their agreementThe customers claim was deniedNo additional funds due at this time

we spoke with the customerShe will give us one more chance on servicing her before she cancels

Just as any appliance when you resell it you are not able to get the same amount of money you paid for it when you originally purchased it, plus years of wear and tear as well as the amount of current repairs.If you were to try and sell an appliance from 1997(18/ yrs old) and then deduct for wear and tear and the amount of repairs needed you would actually owe a person money

The customer placed a claim for the HVAC unit, stating that the unit is "leaking cooling fluid" as stated by the customer.The customer was advised that "LEAKS" are not covered, if the customer would have stated the unit was not cooling that would be different that stating there is a "leak"We advised the customer that "charging the unit with freon" is part of the optional coverage, but, "cooling fluid leaking" is not.Select Home Warranty advised the customer that they they may have a local technician go out to the home and professionally diagnose the unit and inform us of the findings.We are unable to send a technician to the customer's home due to the fact that we do not cover "leaks", again the optional FREON coverage is for "charging the unit with freon"If the cusotmer is still unclear of the difference of leaks and charging, we would be more than happy to explain it at our customer service center, if the cusotmer would like to recant the diagnosis theymade of the unit "leaking cooling fluid" they may call us as well

The customer has already been approved for the policy maxWe have not done anything outside the policy terms

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I also paid $service fees to a unqualified contractor who made my issue worse Causing me to spend an extra $to get the job done right I cancelled the contract after numerous attempts to speak with someone to resolve the matter They were very rude, everyone I spoke with and no one seemed to care that the plumber whom they sent out flooded my living room and made the matter worse I want $back of which I’ve already received $ Regards, [redacted] ***
