Select Home Warranty clearly stated in the Terms of agreement that we do not cover any appliance or system that is damaged from rust.We do apologize that information was not discussed with the customer Select Home Warranty will contact the customer to discuss further and possible resolve the matter with clarification regarding the pool pump claim

The customer placed a claim for the garage door on 4/21/2015for the Hot Water Heater, the customer stated that they have their owntechnician that they would like to use, and requested a confirmation emailstating that they could do so We didexplain that the customer can get the work done and submit the invoice in forreview.On 4/27/we received the customers invoice via fax,Select Home Warranty did review the invoice and contacted the customers’technician to obtain more information regarding the breakdown of the unit The technician Andrew Nstated that the hotwater heater is over years old and the control module was shorted out whichcaused the failure The technician stated he was not sure whatcause the control module to go bad Select Home Warranty reviewed the matter further and lookedinto how much it would be to replace the control module, which was the mainfailure to the hot water heater In theevent there is a part that should be replaced we offer the customer the valueof that part.Select Home Warranty offered the customer the price for thecontrol module for reimbursement We dounderstand that the customer does not agree with the determination.The customer will be contacted by Select Home Warranty todiscuss the matter further and finalize their cancellation request and see if wecan come to a resolve the customer will be satisfied with

Select Home Warranty and advised that to expedite the claim process they could secure their own technician, the customer refused, they also stated they did not want to cancel the policy they just wanted to file complaints against the company.We did off an alternative to making sure their claim is taken care of but the customer refused

Select Home Warranty has not had any issues with their phone system, our number as well as thousands of customers will say is available is [redacted] ***.The customer has optional freon cover which is very limited.SEE Below:Select’s LiabilityDimensions, Brand and Color, LimitsSelect will not be responsible for matching a system or appliance’s color, brand, or dimensions and only is responsible for repairing and/or replacing systems or appliances of similar capacity and efficiencyThe following guidelines will be implemented to provide a repair/replacement allowanceFor heating or cooling equipment(hvac), in the first three months of coverage a $repair/replacement allowance will be paid to the customerThis repair/replacement allowance will increase to $after the first three months of coverageFor appliances, plumbing and electrical (non-heating or cooling) in the first three months a $repair/replacement allowance will be paid to the customerThis repair/replacement allowance will increase to $after the first three months of coverageFor additional coverage options in the first three months a $repair/replacement allowance will be paid to the customerThis repair/replacement allowance will increase to $after the first three months of coverageIn the event a part is not available, Select's responsibility is to reimburse for the value of the part up to the policy limits.If Freon coverage is selected as an option the limit is $for the first months of coverage and $for the remainder of the contract

We have approved the customer for the policy maxThe policy is clear on caps on hvac claims that do not provide maintenance records

Select Home Warranty did mail a check for both claims in the amount of for both claims to the customer.We will have a representative contact the customer to verify the mailing address and reissue if necessary

Select Home Warranty acknowledges the Customers’ complaint on coverage for the Refrigerator.On 09/30/customer called in to submit a claim for a leaking refrigerator, customer service representative advised customer that perour Terms & Conditions we are unable to cover the repair.See Below:RefrigeratorThis Agreement covers one (1) refrigerator located within the kitchen of the covered homeThisAgreement covers all modules, components and parts of the refrigerator necessary to the functionality of the refrigeratorThis Agreement does NOT cover the following list of modules,components and parts relating to the refrigerator: (i) ice makers; (ii) icecrushers; (iii) beverage dispensers;d (iv)freezer parts and components whichare not essential to the refrigerator unit as a whole(v)freon(vi)freonleaks;(viii)damage caused by freon leak(ix)leaks(x)sealed system.Customer, then sent in an email on 10/1/and stated that the actual issue was a manufacturers’ defect and order the part, ad per theterms of agreement, we are unable to cover the repairs.See Below:Manufacturer’sDefectThis Agreement does not cover any system or appliance that has malfunctioned as a result of the manufacturer’s defect, recall and/or defectivematerials or partsOn 08/21/2014, customer placed claim for the dishwasher, there is a limit of coverage for appliances as per the Terms & Conditions,which we did explain and covered a portion for 150.00, on 8/22/when we received the diagnosisSee Below:Select’s LiabilityDimensions,Brand and Color, LimitsSelect will not be responsible for matching a systemor appliance’s color, brand, or dimensions and only is responsible forrepairing and/or replacing systems or appliances of similar capacity andefficiencyThe following guidelines will be implemented to provide arepair/replacement allowanceFor heating or cooling equipment (hvac), in thefirst three months of coverage a $repair/replacement allowance will be paidto the customerThis repair/replacement allowance will increase to $afterthe first three months of coverageFor appliances, plumbing and electrical(non-heating or cooling) in the first three months a $repair/replacementallowance will be paid to the customerSelect Home Warranty has filled all contractual obligation regarding the repairs for both of the appliancesWe would be more than happyto cover any repairs as long as they fall within the terms of the agreement.We have received a signed copy of the agreement on 7/30/2014, which was provided to the Customer for review and outlines thecoverage
