[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] I do not find this response satisfactory, but do not feel that I will receive any better response should I pursue it further, so I will accept the refund Once it became clear to me that the warranty company would not honor their warranty and the cost of the A/C repair or replacement was going to fall to me, I called a second company of my choice for another quote The second company discovered that the diagnosis of the warranty companies service provider was false, and they were able to quickly repair the A/C unitI am being refunded the $for the original cost of the warranty However, I am still out of pocket $for the warranty companies service provider to give me a diagnosis, plust the $for the second company to actually fix the unit And I want to ensure that other consumers are alerted to the fact that Select Home Warranty is marketing their warranty to NEW homebuyers, who will not have years of service data for their appliances, and then they have no intention of fulfilling their warranty I do not know how this is not fraudulent activity and would request that the Revdex.com look into this further on behalf of other consumers Regards, [redacted]

Select Home Warranty mailed out the customers' check on 01/06/---it should have been received by now, please verify if the check has been received

I am rejecting this response because:I was only refunded out of I am requesting a full refund for extremely poor customer service and not been truthful in your selling practicesI was told at the time of purchase that my Entire AC units would be cover accepted for Freon rechargesWhen I requested AC service I was given a contractor who did not have a working business telephone numberContractor contacted me hrs later, showed up with no identification or license, no name tag, no uniform and dressy tackyHe Checked my unit and said I need Freon and he would install at $per lb x I asked him what happen to the Freon and he said it leaked out and I said why would you charge me for it to leak back outThen He said it may not be a leak but he would have to call AHS to get authorize to check for a leakSo I said so you don't know what is wrong with my unit weather its leaking or not could not be determinedHis cell phone did not work after times, so he ask if he could use my cell to callI called on his behalf and while waiting for someone to pickup up his cell started working vs droping the callSoon as we got a associate on the line they started fussing at him saying his telephone number is not working and that they had tried to reach him for 48hrsThey said a customer had called in complaining and told him that's not acceptable not to have a working numberWhile they argued back and forth I told him I would be inside my houseShortly afterwards he said they did not authorize the leak check and they would call meWell after all of this had happen I did not believe nothing this guy told meI told him once AHS called and confirm what he said I would paid the service feeAfter waiting mins AHS never called and I went outside to talk to the contractor and he had leftI called AHS and request to speak to a supervisor about this experience and was told no supervisor was availableThey inform me that a supervisor would call be back in hrsafter calling back in after 24hrs I finally received a call back almost days laterThis was a terrible experienceand very miss leading and design to ripped the consumer offI'm asking for a full refund due to information at the time of sell before the warranty was sent and extremely bad service from AHS and there contractors

I received that email reference the refund However the problem with the resolution was that they credited the amount back to the original owner of the policy when it should if gone to meI purchased this home with a transfer of that warranty signed into my nameThe company knew thisAnd yet they chose to send the refund to the credit card on file which was not mineSo we are back to feeling screwedWhen will they learn

I am rejecting this response because: was told this was done before I filed my complaintPerson telling me he was in management and had reviewed call when I questioned him on contents of call I realized he could not have listened to call

The customer placed a claim for their washing machine on04/29/2015, the customer was not happy with our service at first and we advisedthe customer that claims usually take 24-hours to assign a technician The customer was assigned a company thatstated that did not work with us before but had done work with another HomeWarranty company and had not been paid The customer agreed to get their own local technician to goout and take care of the issueOn 4/30/Select Home Warranty spoke withthe customers’ technician and they stated that the Washers; gear case wasleaking oil over the other parts and the Drive Motor that failed The Washer needs extensive repairs from theleaking oil that has damaged the main components The customer stated that the bearings wentbad and caused the leak Normally when there is a leak out of the gear case thatcaused all the parts to go bad, it is not covered by the warranty, we covermechanical failures, not leaks from water or oilSelect Home Warranty didexplain this to the customer.The customer request to for a refund due to the outcome of theclaim, the customer purchased the policy 08/and has had coverage withSelect Home Warranty during that time, we are unable to offer the customer afull refund, because they disagree with what is covered and not covered.Select Home Warranty will issue the customer a pro-ratedrefund per the Terms of Agreement, we have also fulfilled our contractualobligation in regards to the claim for the washing machine

The customer is refusing to send in therequired documentation that they agreed to on the Terms of Agreement, everymanufacturer of HVAC Units state that there should be maintenance performed at least once a year Select Home Warranty puts thisinformation into the Terms & Conditions and sends it to the customer toreview, sign and state that they agree to the terms the customer has agreed and now per the Terms of Agreement we requiremaintenance records to move forward If the customer will not provide thedocumentation we are requesting we would not be able to moveforward with the claim All HVAC technicians providemaintenance programs that you can sign up for, they will come times per yearor once a year depending on where you live, if maintenance was not necessary, why would all technicians offer this service? On the sites for the following manufacturers they all statethat preventative maintenance will prolong the life of your unit as thecomponents in the unit are similar to a car, and they also require regulartune-ups and maintenance.Select Home Warranty would be more than happyto resolve the matter once the customer sends in the requested maintenance

They are getting the best of both worlds and I am getting nothing; but screwed all the money plus extra for signing up with them I am asking you as the Revdex.com to look into this for the consumer and to review their contract! They do not pay anything per their contract! This is not acceptable to take the money I paid all those months and then go back on their contract and then take away the claim money also How is this fair to the consumer? Has the Revdex.com looked at this companies practices? Do you think this is a fair handling of claims? or on refunding premiums? I was with them only months and they took $from me! They did not provide the service that their representative promised me! This is a fraudulent company The man kept trying to get me to stay with them by telling me I would have to repay the $claim and that I would be penalized to cancel Regards, [redacted]

We spoke with the technician and they will be going out

The customer was informed by someone in our office on 6/23/that the evaporator coil was rusted which is what caused the unit to failPlease refer to section of the customers contract: This Agreement does not cover any systems or appliances that have had previous repair or that require repair as a result of improper installation, previous repair, damage caused by any construction activity, improper wiring, inadequate or lack of capacity, power failures, power surges, overloads, missing parts, failure to properly maintain, failure to properly clean, neglect, misuse, corrosion, rust, sediment and any modification to the system or applianceYou are responsible for providing annual maintenance and cleaning by a licensed technician on covered items to ensure continued coverage on such itemsSelect reserves the right to request prior years (3) maintenance records and/or pictures, without proper maintenance records and pictures the maximum payout on any system/appliance is upto $For example: heating and a/c systems require periodic cleaning and/or replacement of filters and cleaning of evaporator and condenser coilsWater heaters require periodic flushingThis policy covers mechanical breakdowns, it does not cover shelves, door handles, doors, hinges, knobs and buttons, door seals, displays, latches, timers, leveling equipment, clogged drains or lines, cosmetic issues, gaskets, leak searches, lights, noise, refrigerants, valves, dispensers,installation, electrical failuresRust is not covered under the customers warranty and their claim was subsequently deniedNo funds are due at this time

We did send a plumber and the issue is not coveredThere is no plumbing stoppage just a bad smellThis is not a covered claim.We have already gone above the policy terms by sending out a tech on a policy that hasn't become active yet

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have asked my tenant, who paid for the service, for his credit card statement and he will not provide it to meIf I had paid it personally I would have no problem giving this company a copybut I cannotFor a company to state that a credit card statement is the only form of proof they will accept for a credit card transaction, and NOT disclose that information up front seems to be misleadingThey never advised what proof of payment they are and are NOT willing to acceptI have provided them an invoice from the company stating the service was paid for, as well as, an email receipt from the companyI have been with then for about or so monthsIf I were going to commit fraud, would it be on such a menial claim?This company never even called me back to advise they could NOT provide a contractor to fix the issueIf they had lived up to their promise in the first place to provide a contractor, we would not be in this situation right now Regards, [redacted] ***

The customer was advised the issue was not solely rust onthe unit, but, the fact that the unit needed to be replaced in 2013, thetechnician the customer had service their unit, stated that there was a rustedEvaporator Coil in December 2013, and the unit also has rust and moldThe technicianalso wrote a quote for a new unit as the unit needed to be replaced in 2013.Select Home Warranty is designed to cover issues that occur afterthe policy is purchased not issues that customers are already aware of The customer should have had the unitreplaced between -when the maintenance report stated that theEvaporator Coil was diagnosed as having rust.Select Home Warranty will only offer the customer a courtesypayment of due to the fact that the customer was aware that the unit wasalready in need of replacement prior to purchasing the warranty.The customer also has an open complaint with the Departmentof Consumer Affairs, pleas acknowledge the attached letter of response fromSelect Home Warranty

The customer has been approved in full for their pool claim
