Review: This company has been contacting me with threats of collections for the past year. The person they want is NOT ME. I have explained this several times through the past year, BUT every few months I get another call. I am not sure who they are looking for and each time that I call they say "Oh, sorry", BUT a few months later they are calling again.Desired Settlement: I would like to have them stop contacting me and leaving messages on my home phone.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Two phone numbers were provided that we may be calling as wrong numbers. ###-###-#### is not in our system. ###-###-#### was in our system and associated with a [redacted] in Roseville California and 3 calls were made to the number by our dialer since 06-20-2013. We have removed this number from our system and place the number into our internal "do not call" list in case the number is placed with Stellar in the Future. We apologize for the wrong number calls and the number has been removed.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: Stellar Recovery has falsely reported collection information on my credit report with [redacted] Credit Bureau. Date of 1st Delinquency is incorrect.

My Stellar Recovery account# is [redacted]. Stellar Recovery is reporting the Date of 1st Delinquency as March 2011, which is incorrect. The Date of 1st Delinquency should not be more current than 2004 when I defaulted with the company [redacted], which is the original debtor. This collection should not be on my credit report with [redacted] Credit Bureau since the Date of 1st Delinquency is from 2004 and not 2011. I have disputed this with all three Credit Bureaus ([redacted] and [redacted]). All Credit Bureaus except [redacted] have investigated this matter and have corrected it. I have documents that show that [redacted] and [redacted] have corrected this. It appears that Stellar is falsely reporting the Date of 1st Delinquency to have as leverage with getting me to pay. Stellar Recovery is reporting the Date of 1st Delinquency in March of 2011, which means this collection will stay on my report until 2018! This is illegal and unethical.Desired Settlement: Correct Date of 1st Delinquency so [redacted] can remove this from my credit report with them.

Response:

July 9, 2013

In response to Case # [redacted]:

Stellar Recovery Inc. received a Revdex.com complaint on July 5, 2013 regarding a collection account for [redacted]. The consumer's complaint states Stellar Recovery Inc. is incorrectly reporting the date of first delinquency to the credit bureaus. The consumer states the date of first delinquency is 2004 versus March 2011 as reported.

Stellar Recovery Inc. received a collection file for [redacted] on April 7, 2011. The collection file was reported to the consumer's credit bureau on April 8, 2011. The date the consumer reads on his credit bureau is the date Stellar Recovery Inc. reported the collection account to the credit bureaus, not the date the consumer's account became delinquent.

Stellar Recovery Inc. did receive a potential dispute from the Credit Reporting Agencies on March 18, 2013. Stellar Recovery Inc.'s administrative staff notated the consumer's file and closed the account as an administrative dispute based upon the information given. The consumer's account was deleted from the credit bureaus on May 16, 2013.

Unfortunately, Stellar Recovery Inc. is unable to change the date as shown on the consumer's credit bureau. Stellar Recovery Inc. apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sincerely,

[redacted], CP

Review: Good day Sir or Ma'am,I'm writing to report the very unprofessional behavior of the telephone operators who are calling to collect monies, as a 3rd party collections agency. I returned their call and this rep says, "Hi Ms [redacted]. Are you still receiving your mail at --------(saying my address). I say, "And who am I speaking with?" I got no response, which was scary to say the least. This person who obviously had caller ID to know it was me returning his call, and he knew where I lived, but didn't say to me that he was with this company collecting a debt. He was more interested in me following along and answering his questions rather than reveal his identity. He never told me his name or the company he represented, but did tell me that he was attempting to collect a debt of less than $38 for a company that I've allegedly owed for over 2 years. He became very loud when I told him that I don't owe it and he needed to send me the original documents stating that I owe his company money. He began to yell at me "Well we're gonna".....and I hung up to avoid going back and forth with him and called back to speak with a supervisor about my experience and asked them to not contact me again. These are poor business practices. Business representatives should identify themselves before they make you feel that they are watching you by addressing you by name and revealing the fact that they know where you live, by asking if you still receive mail at-----. The world we live in nowadays isn't safe and technology has a lot to do with it; i.e. the craigs list crimes. I literally felt threatened/bullied over a $38 debt that I do not owe.Desired Settlement: Please contact this company about their business practices and make them aware of how scary it is for their customer service reps to be on the other end of the phone and know your name and address, but choose not to give out their own name, or the name of the company they work for. They should reveal that information at the start of their calls. Thank you for you time and attention in this matter.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 04-29-2013, Stellar Recovery did receive a past due amount due from [redacted]. We did speak with Ms. [redacted] on 05-02-2013, under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, we are required to identify a consumer 2 ways before we give any information regarding the debt, this is in order to make sure we have the right person on the phone. We identify by name and by address and will cannot devolge any additional information until we receive verification of identity. The agent, in this case, should have been more customer service driven when Ms. [redacted] refused to give her information to the agent. We understand that the amount showing due is small in this case, we still have to abide by the federal statutes on giving information about the debt. We are showing that Ms. [redacted] called back into our office after the call, she did report that the first agent was "rude". She also told the 2nd agent that she doesnt know who we are and demanded us to cease and desist. Again, under the FDCPA, when a consumer puts us on notice to cease and desist, we are required to do just that. The account was restricted to no calls. This file will be returned to our client as a cease and desist file, Ms. [redacted] is welcome to deal directly with [redacted] on this file, as we are now restricted from making additional collection attempts.

Review: This company is not following the proper collections guidelines. I have never recieved dunning notice from this company and I pulled my credit and saw that they were listed. I contacted them via phone, email and a letter and a I spoke with a manager & he advised he would delete from my credit report ASAP and stop collections. I waited for the deletion from the report and it never occurred. I contacted back again and was advised that they did recieved my debt validation letter and they would stop collecting but would NOT stop reporting to the credit bureaus. The whole point of the debt validation, Under 809 FDCPA they must cease collections until validated which INCLUDES deletion from the credit bureaus. The manager and representative indicated they would only stop attempting to collect but NOT remove from the credit report which is in direct violation. I would like this company to remove these collection accounts from my reports ASAP.Desired Settlement: Delete all information pertaining to this debt from all 3 credit bureaus immediately per the guidelines of FDCPA 809.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. On 08-11-2012, Stellar Recovery did receive a file in the name of Saless J. [redacted] for a past due billing from [redacted]. We do show that a "dunning letter" was mailed our on 09-13-2013 to the address on file of 3[redacted]. On 01-29-2013, we also receied from the Credit Bureaus and credit inquiry, at this point, the file put to dispute and verification was ordered from the original client. We have had conversations with Mr. [redacted] since that date and he has indicated that he is disputing the file. Our records indicate that the Credit Bureaus were notified of the Validation request and the dispute. We checked with our client today and validation is not available for this file, as a result, we have closed the file as disputed and returned the file to the client. In order to expidiate the deletion procedure, we have file an individual [redacted] to all 3 credit bureaus as of todays date. The confirmation number is [redacted] This will delete all credit reporting for this file from Stellar Recovery.

Hello

This is regarding stellar recovery, they indicated they sent a request to have all information deleted.. As of a few weeks later the information is still showing when it should have only taken 24-48 hours to be deleted. As of now this issue has not been resolved and I would like to keep the Revdex.com complaint open still.

Response:

Stellar Recovery has received this additional information regarding [redacted]. We have again, confirmed that an AUD deletion was performed by Stellar Recovery on 04-04-2013. We cannot advise how long a period it may take the Credit Reporting Agencies to process this document, our confirmation number is [redacted] and have additional confirmations from each of the Reporting agencies on this request.

Review: I notified Stellar Recovery on 3/20/13 in writing to cease & desist contacting myself or any 3rd party regarding any alleged debt. They violated this request by continuing to contact me at my place of employment on 4/1/13. This violation of the FDCPA has been reported to the FTC.Desired Settlement: Stellar Recovery must follow the rules & regulations set forth by the FDCPA.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of an complaint filed by [redacted]. We have completed our investigation. On March, 20th, we did receive an e mail from Ms. [redacted], this e mail did not have any address or addtional information provided, only that we were to cease and desist collections for [redacted]. We reviewed the name and found 6 different files associated with a [redacted] that were currently open in our office. Without further information, it was impossible to local the correct file. Yesterday, we received another e mail from the consumer indicating that we were continueing to call her. We were forced to go into our data base and cancel as cease and desist all [redacted] files. With the additional information provided by the Revdex.com and the consumer, we have determined the correct account. This file was closed yesterday at 10:11 am MST. There will be no additional calls. In the future, we would suggest that if Ms. [redacted] wants a creditor to cease and desist, she provide adequate information to idently the file in question.

Review: I have no idea why this company is constantly calling me. They are on the same level as Sallie Mae (SLM) with their constant calling and not leaving a message. SLM was a nightmare which I do not and will not go through again. PLEASE do something.

I finally called them back today and discovered they were a collection agency. I was eventually connected with an obnoxious customer support resource who refused to tell what company has turned me over to collections. I told the rep that I had lived in the city they were referencing the address associated with my name but did not confirm the address. Therefore I go no further information. I informed the representative not to contact me again until they were ready to provide me with the company's name who had turned me over to collections.

I am getting anywhere from 1 to 3 calls per day and this has been going on since the first of the year and it is frustrating.

And to make things worse I am not aware of any debts that are in arrears that are attached to my name.

Please do something.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Inform who the creditor is so that I can resolve/clear up this issue in lieu of dealing with a 3rd party.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records indicate that we did receive a Comcast account in our office on 1-11-2016 for [redacted] with Services at [redacted]. Our investigation shows that we have a social security number listed on the account to confirm if this is the correct party. Ms. [redacted] contacted our office on 1-22-2016, our agent attempted to verify Ms. [redacted] by the address listed on the account. Once Ms. [redacted] advised she was not aware of the address we had listed on the account, Stellar could not disclose any further details of the account with this third party. Ms. [redacted] telephone number has been removed from the account. If Ms. [redacted] would like more information regarding this matter she will need to contact our office and follow the verification process.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: this company has called my phone number many times, I have called them and told them I am not [redacted] and they promise to remove my phone number. That lasts about 3 months and then I begin to receive calls again every two days or so. When I called them today I spoke with Ashley who told me that it had never been noted in their system that my number is a wrong number.Desired Settlement: No more phone calls for [redacted] at my phone number.

Response:

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a complaint filed by [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] indicated that our office is calling a wrong number. Our records do indicate on 01-04-2014, the phone number of ###-###-#### was placed in our system for a contact phone for a [redacted], the phone was called 5 times between 01-06-2014 and 06-20-2014 when our office took an inbound call from the consumer. The agent removed the number and did indicate that we show no record of being informed that this was a wrong number. Our intent is not to call wrong numbers and we did remove the number when informed. The agent also placed the call into our internal do not call list, this prevents the number from being listed in our system for any further placements of the number. We certainly apologize to Ms. [redacted] for the 5 wrong number calls. There has been no calls made prior to 01-06-2014 for this number by Stellar.

vAlbany wrong number and keep calling me even though I have told them I am not the person they are looking for. They have been rude and even hung up on me. They keep telling me my number is not in their database. I answer the phone and keep telling them to stop calling me. Especially when I am on night shift and they wake me up during the day. Stop harassing people who have nothing to do with your debt collecting service.

Review: I have not received any statement or bill about this. I did pay it and they claimed it will no longer be a collection on my report within 48 hours. It's still there now two weeks later. Every time I call to get questions answered they are not helpful at all and VERY RUDE. I felt pressured to pay regardless of their mistakes. They have yet to send me a receipt. They said just check my bank account. Not professional.

I want this deleted off of my credit report due to their reporting mistakes.Desired Settlement: I want this deleted off of my credit report per their agreement when I paid the bill in full. and a Letter showing that is paid in full

Response:

Stellar Recovery has received an inquiry made by [redacted]. Our records indicated that on 08-07-2014, we did receive a past due billing from Comcast for a [redacted] for services at [redacted]. We do show that 2 demand letters were mail to the address we were provded on [redacted] on 08-08-2014 and 09-17-2014. We also show that we first spoke with the spouse ([redacted]) on 09-17-2014 and she indicated to our agent she would pay this "on line in one payment in order to receive an instant receipt of payment.". We show a second conversation with the spouse on 02-03-2015 where she ask our agent about a settlement available on this file and indicated she was previously offered a settlement, the agent informed the consumer the client did not offer settlements on this placement. On 03-27-2015, we show again that we spoke with spouse ([redacted]) and she agreed to pay the balance on this file, the recording indicated that the agent did say that the credit reporting would by "updated" to show the file had a zero balance within a 48 hour period. We do show that we reported this file as paid to the credit reporting agencies as of 4-2-2015. Because there may have been some confusion, we have ordered deletion of the credit reporting for this file as of today, confirmation number for the deletion is [redacted]. We have also e mailed a paid in full letter. We received an e mail back from ([redacted]) and she indicated that this letter did not have a particular amount that was paid on this account. We then sent out another "receipt of Payment" letter which did indicate the amount paid of $570.46.

Review: I received a phone call from this company on April 15th in the evening to my home phone. The number came from a phone number in Pennsylvania. They did not leave a message. I returned the call from my cell, curious to find out who the caller was and reached Stellar Recovery. They woman on the phone asked me to verify the phone number they attempted to reach me. Once confirmed, she said the call was in regards to an outstanding [redacted] debt for a [redacted] at [redacted] in San Francisco, CA in the amount of $181. I have never lived in CA and have not had a [redacted] account in 9 years (at my previous residence in NJ). She directed me to [redacted] to file a fraud claim form. I spent 1/2 hour or so on a chat with a [redacted] agent who confirmed that my last 4 SSN matched the account in question ([redacted]). She was not able to help me and directed me to call the customer solutions team at [redacted]. I spoke with another agent who was not able to assist me and instructed me to call the collections department during their business hours. I have not checked my credit report, but am hoping that there is nothing about this on my credit as it is not nor ever has been my debt.Desired Settlement: Confirmation that this is not my debt and removal from credit report if applicable. And no further calls.

The Stellar Agent noted the file and closed the file as disputed and noted the information obtained from the consumer. Ms. [redacted] needs to continue to contact [redacted] regarding this file, we have closed the file on our side. Review: I have never received any correspondence from this company advising me of my rights for debt validation. I found out about this collection account when I recently pulled a copy of my consumer credit report. I contacted them to try to get debt validation and have yet to receive it. They are trying to collect on an alleged Comcast account per the representative I spoke to could not provide me any detailed information on this alleged account. By law, the company needs to provide debt validation but they have not yet done so.Desired Settlement: The company needs to either validate the debt and/or remove it from my credit report.

Stellar Recovery is in receipt of a Revdex.com complaint filed by [redacted]. Our records show that a Comcast file was placed into our office in the name of [redacted] for srvies at [redacted] from 04-03-2009. We show that spoke with this consumer on 04-28-2015 and he indicated that this was showing on his credit profile. The agent advised if he needed validation documents to contact our web site inquiry of [redacted] and validation documents could be requested from that site as these documents need to requested in writing under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. We do not show that any written request was made for the documents. We also received a request for information from the Credit Reporting Agency on 05-11-2015 and validation documents were ordered at that time and address was updated via this request to [redacted]. The documents were mailed to this address on 5-12-2015. The file is currently on hold, pending validation period of 30 days. Credit reporting has been ordered deleted during this validation period as well. Mr. [redacted] is welcome to contact our office after he reviews the documents sent to his address.

Review: I have never received any correspondence, written, verbal, or otherwise, in regards to a collection account they are handling. I was only made aware of a collection account that appeared on my credit report. The forebearing issue, and I am not admitting that I owe or do not owe said debt, is no collection attempts were or have been made. Stellar Recovery Inc. has closed this collection account and reopened it, therefore causing a drop to my credit score. I am questioning whether this is an ethical practice.Desired Settlement: If Stellar Recovery Inc. intends to ethically and responsibly perform their due diligence, I respectfully request that their office(s) provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay and the following:

•Why and what the money is owed for;

•Explain and show me how they calculated what they say I owe;

•Provide me with copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what they say I owe;

•Provide a verification or copy of any judgment if applicable;

•Identify the original creditor;

•Prove the Statute of Limitations has not expired on this account;

•Show me that they are licensed to collect in my state; and

•Provide me with their license numbers and Registered Agent.

If the requested information cannot be provided, I am requesting that the collection account(s) be removed in its entirety from my credit history/report. In addition, if evidence cannot be furnished, I may take legal measures as their actions may have resulted in a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Review: This account should not have been credit reported.

A collector called at 7:40AM which is before calling time and the phone number wasn't even mine. I have tried to contact them but I receive no response. They incorrectly reported this account to the credit bureaus I don't know how that this was even reported I never put my social on any website when purchasing.Desired Settlement: I want this item removed from my credit report. This should have never been reported in any way.

We have closed this file as disputed and returned it to our client and we have deleted any credit reporting.

Review: Stellar Recovery calls me on a daily basis with a redirected number listed on the caller ID.The number that comes up is ###-###-####, which is a listing for a local assisted living facility. This does not seem to be in accordance with fair trade recovery and is deceitful.When I return the call, it tells me that it is Stellar Recovery.The posting to my credit report is for [redacted] Network, which is an account that I held over 3 years ago. The agreement was settled with [redacted] at that time to keep the account on hold with their $10 monthly charge. [redacted] requested their equipment returned, which was obliged.This is not a valid charge as my account was settled with [redacted] in 2010.Desired Settlement: I would like the removal of this account from my credit reports, [redacted], and discontinued contact from Stellar.

Response:

On 05-13-2013, Stellar responded to a complaint filed by [redacted]. As stated in our response, based on the information provided, we closed the file in our office and returned it to [redacted] Network. On that date, after the file had been closed, we ordered automatic deletion with all Credit Reporting Agencies. Ms. [redacted] needs to allow the Credit Bureaus time to process this request made by our office on 05-13-2013. Today, we have also performed a Manual AUD deletion for this file in an effort to make sure the Credit Bureaus process this on a timely basis. Confirmation of this request is #[redacted]

Review: Received an automated call at 7:30pm on 05/20/20113 regarding a debt collection attempt. At the end of the message I pressed 1 to connect to the collector(s). After reaching a person, I was asked to verify an address of a residence I left in 2009 and that there was a debt of $214.36 from a final end balance through [redacted] and that I had to pay otherwise face the debt being reported to my credit. I was offered options to pay by debit card, credit card, or check via telephone. I explained to the agent I was uncomfortable giving said information to an unsolicited possible scam call. At this point the agent offered to send an email. I explained I would need physical documentation of the debt mailed to my current address. The agent hung up the phone while I was mid-sentence.I immediately followed up with [redacted] as I was sure to the erroneous nature of the amount and the fact I did in fact owe a debt. [redacted] informed me that my previous account had equipment returned on July 7th 2009, and that it wasn't "closed" until October. The agent was confused, as was I. Especially to the delayed nature of the debt collection request.After digging through my past account files, I located my equipment return form that closed and paid out the account I had with [redacted] in Atlanta in July 2009. The amount specified by Stellar of 214.36 for a single month of internet only service is implausible, and it is in fact much closer to 3 months of erroneous service charged at ~67.00 per month after equipment had been returned. This debt is not real (as I paid out in full when I turned in my equipment) and is a direct result from mismanagement of the account details by [redacted], and in fact no debt is owed.Desired Settlement: I request that the debt file be closed out as disputed due to the reasons listed above. I additionally request that any credit report filed as a result of this "debt" be deleted from all credit bureaus as was threatened to me by the Stellar agent. I would like documentation of both of these events to be sent to my contact information within this Revdex.com complaint.

Response:

Stellar Recovery has reviewed the complaint filed by [redacted]. Stellar did receive a past due billing from [redacted] on 01-27-2013 for servies at [redacted], Atlanta, GA 30339, these services charged off in 10-2009. We did speak with Mr [redacted] yesterday and marked the file as possible dispute. The billing does indicate from [redacted] that the charges were Service charges not equipment charges. After the Revdex.com complaint, we did contact our client and they indicated that the file should be closed as disputed and returned to them. This has been completed and we have ordered a manual AUD Credit Bureau deletion for reporting purposes for this claim. AUD deletion confirmation is [redacted], dated todays date.

Review: Have checked credit report and see that Stellar Recovery Inc has reported that have a negative balance of $317 Account#1335XXXX and they have never notified me of any debt to DISH NETWORK . I have disputed the information as it is being handled by another collection agency, who let me turn in my equipment, adjusted my balance due and is working with me on payment. I would like the negative information removed from my Equifax credit report, as, again, another collection agency has been assigned and I am actively working with them (not stellar, who never returned my call or request for debt validation) to clear up my balanceDesired Settlement: I would like a Stellar Recovery to delete account#1335XXXX from my Equifax credit report as well from the other 2 Credit Reporting Agencies Trans Union and Experian.

Review: I called this company trying to pay on a dept. I asked them to send me a letter saying that upon receipt of payment, we will send you settlement letter stating the following: remove this account from my credit reports (Experian, TransUnion, Equifax) or change the status of my account from Collection to Pays As Agreed. Furthermore, I ask that you also agree, that once paid in full, this account is not to be resold/transferred to any other collection agency. In addition, any references to late payment or charge off regarding this account are removed from my credit file and a satisfaction paid letter be sent to me.I have even sent the letter just for them to sign and they will not do so. They don't want the money order, they want me to give them my banking information. I told them that I already have the money order. I was told to take it back to the store I got it from and cash it. I am trying to resolve some of these issues on my credit report and I have already been burned by one company I sent a money order to and they still have not taken it off my credit. PLEASE HELP ME to resolve this issue.This is the second company in Jacksonville that is giving me a hard way to go. It feels like they want to stop me from paying this account off.[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the letter that I asked for or sign the letter that I sent them so I can send them the money. Once this is paid, I don't want this sold to another company for more payment and no more calls from them or any other creditor.

We also acknowledge that our agents have offered a settlement for this file in the amount of $184.16. We are in receipt of a letter sent by the consumer to our office, we are unable to agree to the terms in this letter as it asks for Stellar to Delete the Negative information to the credit reporting agencies after payment for the settlement has been received. We will report the file as settled in full with no balance due, once we receive and process the payment. We do not have a "pay to delete" policy.
