He stated that he was going to call me back on Wednesday to finish the paperwork. I dont want to be scammed and I dont want my idenity stolenDesired Settlement: I would like all my information deleted from their system and a letter mailed to me signed that states that the information was deleted and that my information will not be used for any purpose by them or their employees including idenity theft.

Review: I gave this company my Name and telephone number via a Facebook post to get information on consolidating and lowering my student loan payments. I received a call almost immediately after hitting submit. I did not have time to talk right then but told the lady to call back another time. She called back a few days later and I told her that I was no longer interested in there services. This company continued to call at least every week if not multiple times a week. Today (02052014) I decided to answer the call again. [redacted] is the name of the lady that was helping me. I told her that I wanted to consolidate my loans into one loan and potentially lower my payments or keep them the same. I am not having an issue paying my student loans at this time. She asked some personal questions; SSN, Name, Length of time at job, annual income and spouse's annual income. This is where I got a little suspicious. I gave her an income that was actually higher than what it really is. She answered back saying "Wouldn't you say it's closer to $$$$$$$"? She was spot on. But how would she know my annual gross income? I continued on with the process and she offered to payment programs. 120 Payments / $124.43mo or 180 Payments / $83.60mo. $14,931.60 & $15,048.00 respectively. I only owe $10,505.78. I asked her why I would accept either one of those programs? She offered to email me some paperwork about the loans and I received a screen shot that I could barely read of the loans I currently have. Why did she send that? She was quick to get off the phone when I beginning questioning her. She asked me what my goals with my loans were. I said to pay them off, what other plans could I possibly have with them? She said I would be surprised?? Ok! Weird! I am not sure what this company is up other than trying to make a quick buck on someone who doesn't realize the loan terms. This is a scam.Desired Settlement: I want Student Loan Support to pay some of my student loans for trying to rip me off. This company is a bunch of scam artists. Now is there chance to provide me with a service!

Review: Attempted to do student loan consolidation for forgiveness. Difficulties with dealing with so many people--different numbers quoted and told I couldn't cancel. Several attempts made to resolve issue. Payment taken out of checking acct when I told representative I wanted to cancel and she authorized it on Thursday 8/7 but yet payment taken out of bank on 8/12. I asked if I needed to sign paper in canceling and was told verbal was good enough. Spoke with manager [redacted] and was told loan was still active and wasn't told of canceling. I asked for cancellation again and verbally told it was and received email that it was also. Was told refund was issued for payment taken out for 131.66 and have yet to have that refunded in bank account. Feel like I have been lied to again and they have no intention of refunding that payment. Was told refund would post in 24 hours and that was 4 days ago. I think their practices need looked at and reviewed. Felt very bullied through whole process. Thank youDesired Settlement: Refund of payment since loan cancelled

Review: I have been paying money to this company since December, they told me that they were accredited and would consolidate my student loans, today I called the DEPT of EDUCATION because I am getting bills from them and they said that student support(one I was paying) is a scam. I have already called my credit card company about this and got a new card. My result is I dont want this to happen to anyone else and I don't want to have this on collections because I am not paying them as they are not legit.Desired Settlement: No further contact by the business, and money back if my credit card company cannot give it back to me as I already filed a fraud claim to my credit card about them

Business

Response:

In order to perform our service, the client has to provide a month's proof of income. We tried several times to complete her file and she has now filed a claim and needs to call us. We can not refund money by check while she receives a claim because she would receive twice what she is claiming. That is fraud.

Review: I have been dealing with this company since January and have been completely and thoroughly disappointed with their customer service! Not only have you taken $395 one time fee from me, but also a monthly fee that shouldn't have started until I got approved for a consolidation loan from DOE. According to the DOE website, while my consolidation was approved, I STILL have not received any communication at all from you and am now delinquent on my payments. This is unacceptable! I went with this company because I was assured that they could help me with my loans and ability to make payments on time. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN THE CASE. They have been very happy to take my money, but not willing to communicate with me in any other fashion. Not only do I revoke any and all permissions for them to charge my bank account, I demand a full refund of all monies paid to you. I am also reporting you to the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Refund of $395 one time fee and several $29 monthly fees

Review: THE COMPANY CONTACTED ME AND SAID THEY COULD GUARANTEE LOW MONTHLY PAYMENTS TO RESOLVE MY LOAN DEBT. THEY ASKED FOR ALL OF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT I DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DISCLOSING OVER THE PHONE, I WANTED TO CHECK MORE INTO THE COMPANY BEFORE GIVING THEM MY BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION THEY REQUESTED. AFTER LOOKING FURTHER INTO THEM I HAVE FOUND NOTHING BUT BAD REVIEWS WHERE THEY HAVE TAKEN THE MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT AND NOTHING FURTHER HAS BEEN DONE. NOTHING HAS BEEN TURNED INTO THE DEPT OF EDUCATION ON BEHALF OF THE LOANS. SO AFTER REVIEWING THIS INFORMATION I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ALL OF MY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION REMOVED FROM THEIR SYSTEM. THEY HAVE MY ADDRESS SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, AS WELL AS DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER. I WOULD JUST LIKE MY INFORMATION REMOVED AN TO NO LONGER BE CONTACTED.Desired Settlement: ALL PERSONAL INFORMATION REMOVED FROM THEIR RECORDS/SYSTEM.

Review: I received a phone call from this company after expressing interest in consolidating my student loans in March 2014. I paid a fee of $795.00 to get the process rolling. Well, it's been going at a very slow pace. I've called and e-mailed the company and was told the process was completed on their end and it was out of their hands. They assured me in March that they would be done and that my disability would not be garnished due to my student defaulted loans. I was also assured it would be completed in a timely manner. I am still in default, I now owe double what I did initially because of messed up paperwork. I was also informed by my current student loan holder that my student loans were still past due. I'm done. I know things can take time, but having paid the extreme price of $795.00 plus the monthly fee of $29.00 (they did stop the $29.00 fee in June when I complained to them the first time.) I expected more. I have called them many times and their quality manager went as far as to tell me that he took OFFENSE to the fact I and had made the statement that their service was inferior. I don't feel I should have to be the one checking up on the company 9 months later to ensure things are being done. I feel with having put down that money they should be offering better customer service! I am working with my current student loan company and the previous loan company (who still say I owe them) to resolve my issue. Neither loan company charges a service fee of any kind to process. file, service or qualify me for everything this company said they would do for me (income based repayment plan and public service forgiveness). I would like to have my money refunded.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back since I did not receive the services that I was expecting. I caused myself financial hardship to pay this fee.

Review: Student Loan Support refuses to give me the $395 processing fee I asked to be refunded to me the day after it was paid. They said it was too late because my information was processed today with fedloan services (which is the very next day of payment). Fedloan services has no knowlege of this company or my account. Student support services claim that they will refund your money at any time if you have not recieved documentation. I haven't receieved anything and don't understand what the issue is. I also requested that they cancel any further payments like the $29 monthly fee which will be taken from my debit card on the 29th and power of attorney, which has to be done in writing they say. Payments are being deducted monthly before they can even tell me anything about when my case will be closed or when my student debt will be paid.Desired Settlement: $395.00

Review: SCAM!!! DO NOT ENGAGE THESE SERVICES - YOU CAN DO THIS FREE WITH YOUR LOAN COMPANY. This company and service is a sham and unnecessary third party that advertises under the misconception of a federal program. The customer service is atrocious and refuse to answer the true questions and discrepancies. They get NOTHING accomplished and insist on an unwarranted initial payment of at least $395 and could exceed $1,000 or more. There is no rhyme or reason for what the fee is, just whatever they can get you to agree too. This FEE DOES NOT go toward your loan principal, it is simply a fee for this firm to submit information electronically that I can do on my own in minutes. DO NOT ENGAGE THESE SERVICES. When I called the original guy, Eric Etherly, who I spoke to the number was disconnected or he was nowhere to be found. When I finally got a hold of "Client Services" I was told he was no longer with us, some run around about his ethics and I could get no refund, even though the original agreement stipulates I am entitled to a full refund. THIS SERVICE IS NOT NEEDED TO GET YOUR LOANS CONSOLIDATED. These guys have provided me no service, caused me to fall past due on my student loans that had never been past due prior. I was guaranteed that my loans would be consolidated and that they would put my loans into forbearance, yet here I am now 120 days past due and now owe over $1,000 more than I did when I replied to their bogus Facebook ad. These guys should be regulated, monitored and shut down. BEWARE! Once I was able to talk to someone I went from one rep to another and they said I could talk to some John schmuck to resolve this, but what's this last resort bozo going to do for me?

THEY WILL TAKE YOUR $$$ AND PLAY HIDE AND SEEK.Desired Settlement: I want all of my monies refunded. I will pursue this through all channels to ensure that no one else is subjected to this game of smoke and mirrors. The information I get from some elementary rep on initial consult to the actuality of the program and assistance available is laughable. As you peel back the onion it is obvious THIS FIRM'S "SERVICES" ARE NOT NEEDED> THIS IS FREE through Dept. of Education and/or your loan servicing company. PLEASE contact them before you engage these services.

[I want these predators to be held accountable for their actions. They continue to dupe American students, some struggling and just entering the professional world, utilizing a good thing the government is trying to institute in order to turn a personal profit. IF YOU ENROLL WITH THESE GUYS YOU WILL BE SORRY. Their services will cost you in 10 years over $5,000 at the minimum and you may only save .025% off your loan. ENROLLING WITH THEM IS GOING BACKWARDS! DON'T DO IT!! ]

Review: Back in May 2014, I accepted services from the Student Loan Support company in order to help me consolidate my federal student loans. However, I have not received any documents related to my consolidation to date. I spoke to and emailed several representatives regarding my loan consolidation and have been getting the run around telling me that they will call me to update me on my loan consolidation and letting me know that I would be receiving documents by mail. To date, I have not received any documents pertaining my student loan consolidation and still being charged for services that have not been rendered.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund in the amount of $550.00 for the services in addition to the two monthly service fees of $29.00 each for the months of June and July.

Review: I was contacted in the Spring of 2014 to take advantage of some new laws enacted in relation to debt consolidation and student loans. This is something I had been interested in doing but never had the time to act on, so when Student Loan Support contacted me I was eager to participate. They promised me that I would only have to pay one low monthly payment to them and that all my defaulted loans on my credit report would read "paid." Much to my dismay, I am currently under garnishment due to non-payment. They took an initial 395$ from my account at the end of March of 2014 and have proceeded to take 29$ on a monthly basis since then. To date they have taken a total of 685$. I have called them several times with the promise that someone would call me right back, I am still waiting for a call back. I have sent several emails asking for clarification on a few items and have not received one email back that addresses any of my questions or concerns. I have received precisely one email asking for more information from me, information that carries even more of my personal information that I do not want to give until my basic questions are answered. My "account manager" has changed at least 4 times since I have first come into contact with this company.Desired Settlement: I want all of my money back and this company to stop taking money from my account. I no longer wish to have dealings of any nature with this company.

Review: [redacted] contacted my husband and I in January of 2014. I asked [redacted] was this a trick and informed him that I was a police officer and I do not like people who try and scam others out of money. [redacted] agreed that this was a legitimate business and that he worked through the Department of Education. I later found out that this information was false. Before I found this out the company withdrew $424.00. I contacted the company and requested that my services be stopped and that I wanted a full refund. I spoke with [redacted] in February and he stated to wait 14 days to get a refund. On today 03/24/14 I spoke with [redacted] and she stated that my husband would get his refund back and someone else would contact us about my wife. [redacted] from the HR department contacted my wife and she stated that they do not issue refunds. She also tried to get off the phone with me stating that someone else will call me back. This will never happen because you can never reach anyone. We want a refund and we cancelled and made the request in a timely manner. According to their [redacted] Number 9 states that: The student can cancel prior to be approved for Federal Student Loans and will receive a full refund. My paper work has been cancelled and it was not approved through the Department of Education. I also see where [redacted] lied and stated that we cancelled due to not being able to make payments. He lied about getting charged additional fees along with their payments.Desired Settlement: We want a refund from this company in the amount of $424.00.

Product/Service: Student Loan

Problem Occurred: 2/20/2014

Account Number: [redacted]

Name of Salesperson:

Review: Spoke with customer service rep regarding reduction of my student loans. Rep determined through questions and my current pay stub that I qualified for the student loan reduction program. Fee of $599 over 2 installments was paid for processing my reduction, and my first payment of $29 was taken out of my checking account. A month later I was notified that there was a discrepancy regarding my income, as the customer service rep ( who I was told had since been fired)calculated the numbers incorrectly and they were going to have to examine my income again to see if I qualified. Another month passes, and despite numerous phone calls, no one responded to my request to determine the status of my loan. Today, almost 3 months later, I was notified that I did not qualify for the loan via an email. Dealing with this company was a nightmare, I am out of money, and feel they are a scam and trying to take people's money. I am currently waiting word on whether I will be refunded the over $600 paid.Desired Settlement: I would like to avoid others being taken advantage of and losing money.

Review: Student Loan Support, LLC told me they would be able to consolidate my student loan, get my monthly payment really down, pay off my student loans so that I would show a debt paid on my credit report, and forgive the balance of my loan after 120 payments. Additionally they told me that my current loan holder was charging me an exorbitant amount of interest, they would charge me less. Several times I asked them about the loans, I had already consolidated, as they were soon coming out of Forebearance? They always told me they would need to do some research and would call me back, I never received a call back. They told me that to prove I was serious, I needed to pay an amount up front of $550, and then monthly fees of $29. They led me to believe that I was paying my student loans. I was in fact not paying my student loans I was paying them fees. All of their correspondence is signed as if it came from the Department of Education. they told me this was a supported plan by the president to reinvigorate the economy. Today I spoke with my actual loan company that told me they would have done the same thing for no fees and that there were several complaints accusing Student Loan Support, LLC as a scam. Research showed several complaints against this company. They lied to me and several times I have made calls to get clarity and my calls have never been returned.Desired Settlement: I want the $550 I paid initially, $275 on 11/7/14 and $275 on 11/22/14 and the $29 I paid on 12/1/14 and and 1/1/15 returned to me. I feel they used deception to get the money and I want my money returned.

[According to paperwork from the business I made a complaint against, if my student loans were already in consolidation they would not be able to help me. My loans were already in consolidation, the money I paid $550, was taken from me by the company knowing they would not be able to service my loans, as my loans already had a servicer. That $550 was to show my willingness to participate in a program that, according to their own paperwork, I could not participate in. They should have told me they couldn't help me before they knowingly took my money. ]

Review: In July of this year I applied for this program Student Loan Support to pay off my student loans. At first I thought it was a great program and I thought I was able to go to back to school. On August 11,2014 I emailed them saying not to take any money out of my account in the month of September due to other financial responsibilities and at the same times I didn't have any other of income coming in. Two days later, the people emailed me saying that no money will be taken out. On September 19, 2014 $197.50 was taken out of my account without my consent. I called them and made a complaint to return the money to my account. Within five days, the money was returned to my account. On September 25, 2014, I called them back to cancel my business with them, unfortunately they told me I can do that but I have to pay the $197.50. My complaint is when I was on the phone with them they literally took the same $197.50 out of my account without my knowledge leaving me in a negative hold and at the same time accusing me of stealing which I never did and never will. This company took this situation to collections and I would like your help in this matter. I'm in negative hold and I have other bills to pay including my rent which recently went up. Can you please help me? If you have any questions you can email me at [redacted] or you can call at [redacted] Thank you so much for handling this matter. [redacted]

Review: I have had trouble keeping up with my student loan payments and I came across this company which claims to help with student loan forgiveness. They contacted me to start the application process, they collected $395 from me and told me once they received the necessary paperwork they would start the application process. I had given them personal information as well as tax returns. They stated they would be in contact with me within a few days. It has since been a few weeks, no one has contacted me, no one will return emails, and I have since read that this is a scam.Desired Settlement: I would like for the company to delete my information, refund my money, and take me off of any future call lists.

Regards,

Review: When I was contacted by Student Loan Support I was told that they work through the government and would service my loan, replacing my current loan servicer SallieMae. I was told that another department was currently investigating SallieMae so it would be better to switch over to them and that once I switched, I would be working through my account manager from Student Loan support for the remainder of my years paying off my loan. Included in the fee for them to consolidate my loans was a $29 fee to be paid to Student Loan Support each month for the next 162 months. Once I investigated more I saw that all the information they quoted me was incorrect so I cancelled my account and was then billed $197 from my checking account. I called to get this fixed and I was told by Stephanie that they had nothing to so with my loan and were only involved with submitting an application and then would have nothing to do with any of my loans, so I could not get my account cancelled or be refunded after I had already cancelled the consolidation through them. She also informed me that they were only a third party business and were not connected with the federal government, completely in opposition to what I had been told originally.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of $197 for the cancellation of my account and to not be charged again by this company. I also want my account to be deleted from their system once that is complete.

Review: They keep taking money from a wrong account.. did it on the 15th of April had to prove they did it.. then I had to pay for them to refund it even after they over drawed my bank account.. then after it was refunded they called me telling me I owed money cause it never hit my bank account.. even after I faxed bank statement and proved it did. Got that all cleared, I thought.. then today I went to buy my daughter lunch for the week and my card was declined. Called my bank and student loan support took money out of my account again.. and now I'm trying to get ahold of someone, nobody will answer phones or respond back to me.. I feel scammed even if they are doing this so they can charge me $10 every time they refund it.. the deal was they take my few if $195 off my credit card then take my monthly payment from my bank.. well they keep taking both my my bank after I have verified credit card and have talked blue in the face.. they assure me that's what will happen and yet I keep getting over drawed.. this place is not helping people with student debt. They r putting me more in debt and I think either they need shut down for running a scam. Or get their priorities together so they stop hurting people financially..Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded asap so I can try to get overdraft fees removed. And I don't want charged again for them refunded it.. then I either want out of this program or I want them to do what they are supposed to do.. stop taking money from my bank account when I have told you I dont have enough in there.

Review: A representative from this company contacted me about consolidating my student loan debt under loan forgiveness for public employees. The representative stated that the repayment would be strictly based off of my income and said my payment would be approximately $400.00 a month. I along with my husband, asked the rep several times on the phone what the payments were based off of. My husband had researched this program prior to speaking with the rep and the programs states that I would have to file my taxes separately to have the payments based solely off of my income. The rep stated that it did not matter that we filed jointly on our taxes and that all I had to do was fax him pay stubs showing my income. The rep stated that the payments would be based solely off this and not jointly fiiled taxes. After the company took $579 from my account, my loans were consolidated with a company called fed loan. The paperwork was not completely filed and the representative lied about how the repayments were allocated. Fed load sent me a bill for over $1200 and advised I was not enrolled in the student forgiveness program. Fed loan advised that the rep was wrong and that repayment is based off of the joint taxes we filed. After days of attempting to get the problem resolved, reps from this company will not return calls. My husband and I have called numerous times and if we do make contact with someone, we are told they will call us back. The reps do not call back and have not made an attempt to solve my problem.Desired Settlement: A full refund is the only acceptable outcome. Not only did this company charge money for a service which is not needed, you completed extra financial problems for us do to your inability to properly complete the paperwork/provide us with the correct facts regarding the program.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Refund was received on 2/24. I am glad to see it was resolved but it is unfortunate the route I had to take to get a response.
