Student Loan Support Reviews (329)

Review: I was about to begin paying off my student loans, and began thinking of ways for it to be done most effectively. I ran across advertisements for Student Loan Support on Facebook, and thought I would give them a call to see what services they offered.

Initially, I was told they were an "Obama" approved company, and that they could decrease my monthly payment to an estimated $250.00 a month. However, they took almost $500.00 for an initial "start up fee", and charged me $29.99 a month for 4 months afterwards.

I obviously knew this was a lot of money, but they made it sound like they would be saving me thousands of dollars over the life of the loan, and convinced me it was well worth the fees. However, soon I received a bill from my lean holder for over $500.00 a month for my student loans (over half of what was promised). Soon I began to do more research to find they were doing a service I could do myself (complete an Income Based Repayment application), and that they are not a government sanctioned company.

I also was convinced to hand over my wife and I's social security numbers, and FAFSA PIN numbers. Which the later we had to have changed so they would stop attempting to send in loan applications.

I soon after sent them an e-mail requesting a refund. They did not reply, and they have not replied to several of my phone calls. The few times I have gotten a hold of someone they have not listened, continued a deliberate attempt to manipulate me, and avoided speaking to me about reimbursement altogether. One time I was actually put on hold for over an hour, and was finally hung up on.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back, and no longer would like any services provided by this company

Review: I was first contacted by Student Loan Support in October of 2014. The rep I spoke with had detailed information regarding my student loans, leading me to believe they were legit. The rep produced information regarding my student loan balance, being flagged for wage garnishment, etc.

I was offered, what I believed to be a great deal at that time. For a fee of $350, I was able to sign up with their company and make payments of $30 a month for a term of 30 months. In exchange my loans would be paid off.

I began receiving collection letters for my student loans in December. When I contacted my case worker, I was told to ignore the letters and that my loans would be paid off in 60-90 days, or roughly around Jan 2015 and that would end the collection proceedings.

I did what I was told and effectively received another letter informing me wage garnishment. Again I was told by my case worker to ignore this notice.

Wage garnishment began the beginning of Feb 2015. Now I have not heard a word from this company, although they are aware of my situation.

They collection agency I am working with has seen people in my situation all too often.

I am now having %15 taken out of every pay check until I can get my tax information faxed off and work out a new payment plan.

I feel very stupid for being duped by scammers and would not wish this on my worst enemyDesired Settlement: I would just like to see this reach others, so that they don't end up in the same situation that I am in.

Also, if there is ever a class action suit bought against this company I would like to be a part of it

Thank you

Review: I saw the advertisement for student loan support and thought hey I should check it out, why not? A repersenative named [redacted] called be back within minutes. I explained my situation with my student loan and he assured me that he could help me get student loan forgiveness and only make 120 payments and all debt would be forgotten. Well that's not the case. After I received my paperwork from fedloan I realized that they actually increased my interest rate ( which they average out, subsidized and Unsubsidized loans have different rates) this ended up increasing my payback and the total payments were actually 240. As soon as I saw that I had them cancel my account because my paperwork wasn't processed properaly. I spoke with a supervisor [redacted] who said he would investigate it and also agreed that it didn't sound correct. I then spoke with [redacted] who said he was waiting on my refund and then I never heard back from him again. I've called both [redacted] and John and even spoke with [redacted] all who have not returned my phone calls. I requested that we listen to the recorded conversations to confirm what was talked about in regards to my paperwork and I haven't had any help from them. They basically took $500 then said they weren't going to refund me because they did their part. Their part was lying to me about my loan, promising that they would help me reduce my payments and even get student loan forgiveness all of which was not carried out. I'm in shock that this business is up and running. What a terrible thing to do with students that are already struggling to get a job and then ripping them off. Please help me put a stop to this, it's a terrible experience.Desired Settlement: I want my $453.00 back for them processing my paperwork.

Review: To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to inform you of the deception portrayed by one of the customer service representatives employed by this Student Loan Support company. Several months ago, I was contacted by a male representative employed by this company. He informed me that that I was eligible to consolidate my student loans under a new program initiated by President Obama to offer loan forgiveness to educators. At first, I was not interested in the program as it seemed To Good To Be True This man informed me that this was a federal loan agency which would offer me zero percent interest on my students loans for the first year of consolidation as well as a lower monthly payment. I informed the representative that my loans were near paid off as I was down to only $11,000 for both and that I had aggressively been paying them over a period of 12 years. He then informed me that it was really a No Brainer as my monthly payments would be lowered to $125 per month and would be Forgiven in five years under this new federal program. Sparking my interest, I started to engage with the following questionsThis isnt one of those loans that apply to interest only is it? He replied, NO. It would go to principal and during the first year, 100 percent of the principal would be paid. I asked if there was a prepayment penalty. He informed me there was no prepayment penalty and that I could pay the loan off at any time. At this point in time, he asked me if I was interested and stated that all I would need to do it to make a Good Faith Payment directly from my checking account in the amount of $398. I asked what that was for and he said, that rather than paying my loans directly that month I would make this payment to them and they would process it from there. Foolishly, believing this was a federal loan agency, I provided my name, date of birth, social security number, and checking account routing number. Bottom line, there was no truth to anything we agreed on and I am left paying the price.Desired Settlement: Since they deceived me in the following ways, I did not receive zero percent interest for the first year, and will not have my loans forgiven after 5 years, I am currently accumulating principla monthly I am requesting they remove any/all of my personal information from their data base and am requesting a FULL REFUND OF EVERY DIME I have given them for their neglect to monitor their own employees actions. I am also considering speaking to a lawyer to take further action if this is not refunded

Review: In March of 2014, I contacted Student Loan Support LLC about help with my student loan situation. I was told that they could lower my monthly payments and that if I paid for 10 years, my loans would be forgiven. In order to get the processing going, I was told that there would be a charge of $795 (May 1, 2014) and a one time fee of $29. After this, my loans would be taken over by the company and I would start paying my loan payments to them over 10 years. I was told that the process to get this in place was around 3 weeks.

It had been a 4 weeks, nothing had happened, so I called them and was told that my loan was still processing. My concern was that I am still having to pay my student loan while I am paying them my first payment of $795. I got leery, asked for my money back and she told me to be patient that things would be fine. The customer service person suggested that I defer a few payments to allow this to process, so I did. Still, nothing happened and after many calls, the runaround, going back and forth to managers, and here it is, the end of July.

On my last call to them, they answered the phone as if they called me. She sent me to a manager who said he needed to call me back as their data base wasn't updating. No call back.

After reading reviews about the company, which I should have done initially, I am not alone. It appears that this company has no intention of helping people yet they do take your money for no service. I do not have a lot of money and reached out to this business to help me, and instead, was taken advantage of.Desired Settlement: I want the amount of money that I paid them given back to me via check totaling $882.00. I would also like them to take me off of their records.

Review: Student loan support scammed me.. I contacted them wanting help with my student loans. I was basically told and convinced they were my only option. I also said I had already applied myself for income based payments.. Once again I was convinced I needed to go with them.. I agreed thinking this was my only option to get out of this debt.. I was charged a fee of $195 upfront for application fees.. Then told my student loans would be $5 a month, and I would also be charged an additional fee of $29 a month for next years application fee. Pretty much it was being broke down I guess. Well I receive a letter from the us department of education based on the application I submitted and my payments are $0 for a year. I call and they assure me that's what I qualify for and that they never received anything from student loan support. I call student loan support and tell them I want to cancel and I want my money back because I was told I could do so when I signed up.. They argued with me that I can't get refund now because they already did all this work (but yet the government has no record of it).. They give me hassle about a refund and canceling, so of course I get upset.. I was then belittled.. I was told I was not a lady that lady's don't act the way I do.. I was also degraded on my level of education. I asked the guys name.. He told me David and refused to offer his last name.. He them hang up on me.. I was lied to and then belittled. I was told they are part of the government which I later found out they are not. They are a private business.. They also charged me two months payment, loans and 2015 fees. None of that was applied to my loans and they haven't done anything for me for 2015 but yet I'm somehow not entitled to get my money back.... SCAMMED and nowhere to turnDesired Settlement: I want my stuff canceled with them and I want my money back.. They might be able to scam others and do this but I found out what they are doing and I'm not going to allow it..

Review: This company is a scam. After calling to get info on their service thinking they are a government institute. I signed an electronic agreement based on that I am making an agreement with a federal loan agency. I called again after 2 hours and spoke with the same person [redacted] requesting to cancel the agreement. He asked why and I told him because you deceived me into believing that you are a federal institute. Besides, the agreement mentions that I can cancel within 5 business days. The agent wasn't happy at all but said that your agreement is being cancelled. I requested a cancellation confirmation by email and they never responded back with that.Desired Settlement: I request 2 things before involving my attorney.1st: I request to receive a cancellation email to confirm that the agreement is no longer valid.2nd: I request to receive a confirmation that guarantees that my personal information will all be deleted/discarded and not used or given to any body at all.

Business

Response:

We sent an email 2-21 confirming his cancellation and his personal information was deleted.

Review: I received a call from this company in March, 2014. I signed up with them, but CANCELLED within one week. They still sent 3 payments through in the amounts of $29.99, $197.50 and $197.50. I called the company, they surprisingly lost the orginal email to [redacted] that stated to cancell this account. I sent a second email on 4/17/14 to cancel this account and to reimburse me the money that was taken out of my account. I was told that I would get a call back from a "supervisor", I never received that call. I attempted several times to reach this "supervisor", but had no luck.Desired Settlement: I want a total of $425.00 credited to my account, since I cancelled and did not authorize payment.

Business

Response:

We simply asked for the cancellation email that was sent. The reason we do that is because time had lapsed and we had worked on the file. Emails can be forwarded. We were told the cancellation email was sent to us on a certain date. The client then said she had the email but couldn't forward it. We can accept it by mail if it can't be forwarded.

Review: I was told that the only way to discontinue the compounding interest on my student loan was to sign up with this company because they had a legal relationship with Direct Student Loans that would allow them to set up a payment plan for me through Student Loan Support US (SLS) and pay only simple interest, rather than compounding. I had spoken to several different representatives at the company before agreeing to sign up for this service and pay the initial fee of $385 and $29 per month after that. After receiving a notice rom Direct Loans in the mail regarding my account and calling Direct Loans to clarify why I still had an account with them, I learned that what I was told by Student Loan Support US was a lie and their charges are strictly for them processing paperwork that I was legally able to do myself. I am embarrassed for believing this lie and paying a total of $537.66, thus far for processing paperwork that I could have easily and legally filed myself. Also, my loans were already consolidated before I signed up with SLS, so they did not process any loan consolidation for me. They only filed paperwork to stop my payments at the time because I was between jobs. I have called the phone numbers of all the representatives (including [redacted])at SLS that I spoke to in January, 2014 and the mailboxes are all disconnected or have different representatives that do not know of the previous representatives with whom I spoke to.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded my $537.66. I called to cancel my service several times and was told three times that I would be receiving a call back on after a review was performed on my account. Each time I was told I would be called back the next day. I finally received a call back stating they reviewed my account and will not provide a refund and sent me a Client Release form stating that they will cancel the service if I agree to not pursue further actions against Student Loan Support (SLS).

We filed paperwork reflecting the change of income during her unemployment but evidently asking for a refund does not bother her.

Review: I initially contacted them in May to seek some forgiveness on my student loan; I was quoted a payback amount contingent upon providing tax returns/paystubs. I was originally quoted $96/mthly for a total payback of $10K.

I was told a week later, the monthly amount changed to $110 and I had to immediately call. I called and received no callback after leaving several messages. This continued for several months, where my monthly payment increased each time I spoke to them.

I repeatedly asked for an updated contract showing my monthly payments, my payback timeframe, and total payback amount. As of October, this was still not received, I was repeatedly given conflicting information from one rep to another. I requested one point of contact, who in his efforts to assist me, couldn't provide the information I repeatedly asked for. So after 6 months of dealing with them and no resolution, I declined to continue with them and requested a full refund of money paid to them as they didn't deliver on their end of the agreement and there ended up being no forgiveness for me after I was told only $10K payback, then only $14K payback. I've never dealt with a company who doesn't account for call made to their clients.Desired Settlement: I want all the money I paid them returned so I can apply it toward a company who will assist me accurately and in a timely manner.

Review: This company claimed to be a Revdex.com-approved, government program, set up by President Obama himself, in order to forgive student loan balances. In November 2013, I was told by the customer service agent, after giving my socila security number, FAFSA PIN (he said it was REQUIRED to see if I would even qualify, I now know that I should never have given it but since this company claimed to be a FEDERAL program, I was tricked into giving it), and my annual gross income, that I pre-qualified for my loan payment could be reduced to $30/month for 30 years. Their website misleadingly said it was approved by the Revdex.com and the customer service rep assured me that it was too. After asking if it was a scam, the customer service rep went on to tell me how much money I would save by enrolling in this "federal goverment program." The customer service rep then told me I had to pay a processing fee of $395 to get the process going. He took my checking account number and told me that the company would only charge $395, which I paid. Next thing I know I am getting letters from a consolidating company, I believe it was nextstudent loans, asking for me to send in my taxes from the previous year and proof of income. This was all very confusing because I did not expect to be getting the paperwork from someone other than studentloansupport.us. I had a deadline to meet and did not want my loans to go into default (I have NEVER missed a payment) so I just submitted the paperwork like they said to do. Then, I get notices from Nelnet (my loans were previously with Mohela) telling me my new monthly payment was $75, which was confusing because as I understood, my payments were only supposed to be $30/month! And, Studentloansupport.us have been taking $29/month from my checking account for "servicing charges" which they never told me about. I should not have to pay for this service as the federal govenment consolidates for free! I was mislead by this company and would never have given my information.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund from this company since I was mislead by them into believing it was a Revdex.com-approved, government program. If I was not mislead into believing so, I would not have given my personal information. I am requesting that my account be closed with this company, that my social security number, bank account information, and FAFSA PIN be erased from their records and proven to be. I request a full refund of the money they have charged me for student loan consolidation services which I could've received for FREE from the actual government (studentloans.gov). The total amount I would like to be refunded is $656.00 thus far. Also, for this situation to be repaired by the company as it has affected my credit negatively.

Response:

We spoke to the client 4-17-14. She said she understood her payment to her loan Servicer would be $71 because what she stated she earned was different from the proof we received for her actual income. The income determines the amount she pays to her Servicer. She was approved by her Servicer for a $71 payment. Because this an income based program, the Servicer will check each year to qualify the repayment.. We would have resubmitted these requirements each year but the client is stating she wants to quit. We had not heard from her since April and will call her.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was contacted by the Compliance Manager on Friday 9/26/14. He told me he would give me the refund that I had requested as stated in my complaint, he admitted to me getting poor customer service, but he tried to convince me not to close my account with his company. I explained that I was misled by his company into believing that they were a federal program that would forgive my loans, and that they charged me a ridiculous amount of money to consolidate my student loans when I could have done it myself through the Department of Education for free as I came to find out. The manager did admit that I could have completed the process myself for free but his company makes sure you get the best deal and re-consolidates for you yearly. I told him that I do not want the company's services and want my refund as requested. He then stated that he will have to call me back because the situation is " out of his hands" and he "thinks there's a form that has to be emailed to me." I have not heard back from this manager or the company by phone or by email. My complaint has not been resolved to my satisfaction.

Response:

She was contacted by the Compliance Manager on Friday 9/26/14. He told her we completed the work, he was not authorized to commit to a refund and he would ask for a review. He did try to retain her as a client and explained how our Company processes files and that of course she can process her own file but this is our only business and we prepare files for the best outcomes. She told him that I do not want the company's services and wanted a refund as requested. The refund is not reasonable after the fact that she received services and we made that decision 10/1.

Review: Student Loan Support offers student loan consolidation services. This is helpful unless you decide not to use their services. They are not too far removed from used car salesman. Their service is fine if you want to pay for something that you can do for free! Students BEWARE! Student Loan Support are like wolves in sheepskins!Desired Settlement: Repeated attempts requesting a refund, but denied every time. Reputable companies will offer refunds if you decided not to use their services to keep a good reputation. I would not advise using them unless you want to loose $250+.

Business

Response:

Client received a refund but we have no record of many attempts to ask for one.

I was looking for a better solution for my current student loan debt and my mother told me about Student Loan Support. I gave it a shot and requested for them to call me from the link on their website. The next day I received a call while I was at work and could not answer it. Over that same day I received MULTIPLE calls from the same number and another number. Once I answered it was an automated system that told me that my call was being transferred to a "representative". I hung up.

Over the next couple of days the same calls came in. Eventually I answered again and there was an actual person on the other line. Her name was Janet Pywell. Janet was extremely helpful and knowledgable about Student Loan Support (which honestly it's not that hard) and she revealed how I was getting screwed with my current loans. Btw, I am already consolidated...this was just an attempt to get a lower payment and make sure my payment was actual going to the principal balance and not only interest.

During our first phone call I nearly set up everything, even giving her my social. She sent me the repayment plans that were available compared to my current plan, etc, etc. The reason I didn't go through with it (and give her my card information) was because she told me there was a processing fee of nearly $400.00 to start the application, etc. She also stated that I can split it into two payments of $198.00 or something like that. That was my first red flag. A $400 processing fee? Wow.

I told her I was unsure about that and I would call her back after I checked a few things. She was reluctant to let me off the phone and said I "didn't understand". I nearly had to hang up on her to get her to hush. Couple days go by, because you know, I work everyday and all – she called me multiple times a day. That was my second red flag...she's desperate. Why? Is she making money off this "loan"? All signs say not to do it.

Then I googled the business, which is what I should have done in the first place. (Always listen to your girlfriends.) And I ended up here, where I saw majority negative reviews about them where people got scammed.

What I learned – this is a third party loan consolidation firm that is going to make a buck or two off of you. I'm not saying they're a bad deal but it sure was odd the way they handled it. In my mind, if they really wanted to help me out, they wouldn't be calling me like a darn telemarketer.

My advice – TAKE CAUTION. Do NOT give them your credit card info, your student loan PIN, your Social Security number, or anything personal. ASK QUESTIONS. Search the person you work with on google. Do they have a LinkedIn account? Do they have a Facebook? Hopefully you ended up here and read the other reviews.

I hope this helps somebody!

Review: I was contacted in the Spring of 2014 by Student Loan Support to take advantage of a debt consolidation of student loans program. I knew that I needed to began payment on my student loans so I decided to participate. They told me that I would have to pay them a low monthly payment and all of my defaulted loans would read "paid" on my credit report. I paid them a one-time payment of $395 (2 payments of $197.50) and I have been paying them $29 a month for the past year. Lately I have been receiving mail from Fedloan Services stating that my payments are past due. So I gave Student Loan Support a call and they told me that I was paying the $29 a month for them to monitor my loans, not for paying on them. That was not how they explained the process to me when I first signed on with them. So far they have taken $743 from me and I want it back.Desired Settlement: I want them to give me all of my money back.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I was told that the monthy payment of $29 would be payments to my loans. All I had to do was pay a one-time fee of $395.00 and then $29 monthly for my loan payment. When I complained about this yesterday she then told me that the $29 a month was to monitor my loans. I was misled and I want my money back.

Review: A representative called me and offered to enroll me in a student loan forgiveness plan. I was told that I would have to pay a certain amount of money upfront as well as regular monthly payments and that my student debt would be forgiven after 10 years. The representative took my personal information, including my social security number, my FAFSA pin number and my household income. After researching this company online and at the Revdex.com, I am aware that it is a scam. I have reported this occurrence to the FTC and law enforcement.Desired Settlement: I would like ALL personal information deleted from their database. Review: This company claimed they would consolidate my loans for loan forgiveness and lower my payments. I signed the documents with one [redacted]. And began getting letters from FedLoan Servicing saying that I was past due and that I needed to pay my loan on August 12 not the agreed date of the 2nd of the month as in the paperwork I signed. I paid an initial $395.00 and for three month $29.00 per month. They did not even send the paperwork to me that I needed to submit to be considered for the loan forgiveness program. I called fedloanservicing who said that this company did nothing on my loan because they cannot only I can do it. I called them because Ms D[redacted] told me that I had to do what they were suppose to do. I immediately called Ms. [redacted] back and asked my money be returned and stop taking $29.00 out of my checking account. I told Ms. D[redacted] I wanted all my money returned to me and I was filing a complaint. She did not respond to my email after I emailed her bcauSe she has not returned my call with confirmation.Desired Settlement: The return of $482.00 that they have received under false circumstances and to stop the ACH payments from my checking account immediately.

Response:

Client did indeed receive her Consolidation, Customer Service never received a return call and she knows their number listed 3 times in her documents.

Review: The representative of the company [redacted], when we were talking on the phone absolutely misled me with the information. She got all my information which included my Social Security number, Driving License, etc. When I got the contract, I understood It was not what we were talking about.

Plus I was checking out the company itself and founded many companies regarding it services. I called Heather and left massage about my second thoughts and asked her to erase all my information with fallowing confirmation by email. It never happened.Desired Settlement: I wish the Student Loan Support would delete all my information from own database and send the confirmation email.

She was cancelled on 11-10-14.

Regards,

Review: guised under implication that its actually in league with FEDERAL student loan forgiveness "programs". found out its just a go-between that students do not need. I was doing my due diligence with the department of education, and was actually led to the process that this company was doing as a business. found out I can perform all their services through the federal website. consultation was NOT the services I requested, nor was it what I was sold. The FEDLOAN STAFF AND NELNET STAFF have no idea their services are being used to trick people into trusting this company, as they apparently have never heard of them according to their own admission. THIS IS A CLAR INTENT TO DECEIVE STUDENTS INTO SCATHING FEES FOR SERVICES THAT ARE THE EQUIVALENT OF SPOON FEEDING A BABY. After my initial curiosity call to them, they stopped answering the phone, and for weeks have not returned an answer to my emails, which originally drew my suspicion. This service is useless to ANYONE who is not deaf dumb or blind-LITERALLY.

ALSO, ONE OF THEIR PEOPLE CHARGED MY CARD AND DID NOT GIVE ME A RECEIPT. THEN LATER TRIED TO ALLEGEDLY SEND ME A CELL PHONE RECEIPT. HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO REACH HER SINCE. TRIED TO SEND HER UNALERTING EMAILS AND STILL SHE DID NOT RESPOND, LEAVING ME TO THNK I HAD BEEN SCAMMED. HER NAME IS ANGELA MIRABELLA AND I HAVE OUR EARLY EMAILS.Desired Settlement: I would like every single charge reversed and this slight of hand contract terminated immediately, TO INCLUDE SERVICE CHARGE, AND THE TWO PAYMENTS I MADE.. This service is useless, and should be forced to properly advertise.

[I am really disappointed with this response. Firstly, I made several attempts to contact this company throughout the entire month of my cancellation. My emails went unanswered, and when I did get someone, they argued with me saying that I could cancel my account but refused to let me speak to anyone about getting my money back. The lady on the other end in fact became a blockade to my refund requests. The very next day, this company hurried up and actually filed the paperwork I had just told them I did not want, thus attempting to lock in my payments to them by showing that they did a service. UNACCEPTABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE! I STILL WANT MY MONEY BACK! I stand firm that the business is disguised to deceive people into a service that by all purposes should not exist and should be illegal to run. Most college students can file their own paperwork, so the only way a business like Student Loan Support can thrive is to pretend to be the government. ]

Response:

Most people can file their own taxes, make their own appointments, represent themselves in Court and wash their own cars. They do not for various and obvious reasons. We performed a Service, are not interested in tricking people and did perform the Service under a written agreement with the client. After we performed, the argument is that we were unnecessary.

The difference between these points of view are simple. We can not refund money spent to perform work that was completed. This forum was intended to be used for Complaints and enough abuse and Capital letters on the Client's part have been used to clearly point out we performed and responded but can do no more.

Review: I have utilized the services of Student Loan Support to consolidate my student loans; however, I continue to receive statements from my lender stating that I am now late in paying my monthly payments. I have made attempts to contact the representatives who processed my consolidation, but neither person has returned my calls or responded to my emails. I have also called the general customer service number, but I always reach a voicemail system; I did not have this problem contacting representatives when they were making arrangements to complete my process and deduct my money. Student Loan Support continues to deduct funds from my bank account, while my school lender is still requesting that payments be made to them. I am very upset by this as this is now a reflection on me as being delinquent and my student loan payments are doubling each month. I would like an answer as to why money is being deducted from my account, but I am now delinquent in regards to my student loan status. I would like to cease deductions and discontinue working with the program!!!Desired Settlement: I would like to speak with a representative to explain why I am now delinquent in regards to my student loan, but funds continue to be deducted from my account. I would like a letter in writing to explain the situation so that I can submit to the credit bureau. I would like to discontinue working in the program and have all of my money refunded to me immediately

We resolved the issue with the client.

Review: I was given false information when signing up for this third party companies services. I gave them all of my information (job info, income, etc.) and they said I qualified for a 10 year student loan forgiveness program and they could lower my payments from around $1200.00 per month to $193.00 per month for the first year. They took $995.00 to consolidate my loans then started charging me $29.00 per month automatically deducted out of may bank account for them to manage my loans as a 3rd party. I later was told I did not qualify for the 10 year forgiveness and they also were not able to lower my payments to $193.00. There was a mistake on their end processing the paperwork and they missed the cut off date for filing and I had to use my next years tax return which made my payments a lot higher. I told them I wanted to cancel their services. They would not refund me the $995.00 but sent me a check for $174.00 for the $29.00 per month they had been charging me since November. I deposited the check into my Regions bank account and it was returned (bounced) and the bank charged me charged me a $15.00 fee. I have also been told by the company my student loans are with ( MyFedLoan Services) that this 3rd party company was calling and not stating they were a 3rd party company but rather pretending to be my husband. This is illegal. They of course deny it, but I am sure the conversations are recorded on MyFedLoan Services end.Desired Settlement: At the very least I deserve a refund for $189.00 (the $174.00 plus the $15.00 I had to pay). This company definitely mislead me. I never would have signed up for their services knowing what I know now.
