Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situationI have spoken with Ms [redacted] and apologized for the trouble she's having with the noise in her GE microwaveShe said that a technician has been out to diagnose it and ordered the part but she doesn't feel comfortable with having the unit repairedI explained that it was under warranty and that the repair would be at no cost to herI also offered a one year extended warranty (beyond the one-year manufacturer's warranty) but she would not accept She did not accept our offer of repair and extended warranty at this time and was dissatisfied with our offers of resolution Please contact me if you have any questions or concernsSincerely, [redacted] Program Manager

This was not the first time I had that repairman and disagreed with his diagnosisLast year that technician was at my house last year for my new GE microwave doorIt is (still) uneven, and my concern was the possibility of radiation seeping outThis same repairman looked at my microwave and said it was straight and that my kitchen cabinets were uneven!!! I will send you a picture if you would like proof of the crooked microwave doorI tested the radiation on my own after that! With this GE range issue, he looked at my range and said that's what it's supposed to do! It was black where the knobs were from the fire! [redacted] the FLAMES were as high as my microwave!!! I am thankful nobody was seriously injuredHOW is this NOT a safety issue?!!! GE offered $towards a new GE rangeI was fine with that offerThe only request I had was not to have this repairman again at my house in the futureWhen GE would not guarantee that for me, yes, I purchased another brand range and asked for the SAME $reimbursementI asked for reimbursement because the life of a range is years and my range was shy of five yearsI would never trust repairing any appliance under such circumstancesAs far as speaking with two people in the president's Connecticut HQ, the first person was someone (receptionist?) who answered the phone, and switched me (after I asked not to be) back to the KY HQ! The second time I spoke with "someone" in the president's Connecticut HQ, I asked again not to be switched to the KY HQ, and that a decision be made at the CT officeLater that day (again) someone from the KY HQ returned my call with the rejection again of my requestI have never dealt with a company like GE and never will again deal with themI hope this stays on record so that it may help the next consumer make their own decision with safety if they purchase a GEI think this would be a huge liability for GE but, in my opinion, they would rather stand their ground than admit their fault Thank you very much for your time Regards, [redacted]

This is the first contact I have had from the Revdex.com after my initial complaintThe issue with GE is going well so farThey have agreed to replace the dishwasher after almost months of being out of serviceThe company GE set out to replace the new dishwasher would not install for some lame reasonGE has agreed to reimburse me for the cost of a plumber to install the new dishwasher which is scheduled for tomorrowI do not consider the matter closed until I receive the check from GESO FAR, GE HAS BEEN VERY RESPONSIBLE WITH MEI AM, HOWEVER DISAPPOINTED THAT IT TOOK SO LONGThank you for your help [redacted]
