I have received a response from GE in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and agreed to the $50.00 increase and 6 month warranty extension. The fridge is also fixed.  I consider this complaint resolved.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. I have spoken with Mrs. [redacted] and apologized that her 8 year old range can no longer be repaired.  We have offered a 25% refund on her purchase price as a good will gesture.  She is going to send me a copy of her original...

proof of purchase.  I informed her that the unit needs to be uninstalled and ready for pick up at the same time our delivery company comes out to deliver her check. GE Factory Service was just out to service the washer on August 13th and has ordered a part. After talking to Mr. [redacted] from GE, his response was brief and he didn't want to see proof of what the mechanic misinformed after the fact.  I proposed to send a picture of what the mechanic stated the 2 repairs are not related but they are just right next to one another.  Or having a representative coming to the house to do an investigation.  He denied both offers.  This is beyond ridiculous.  But I guess that's the way GE is doing business.Hope the next victim would come forward to expose this kind of behavior from GE mechanic and their tactics.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Because I paid for a Magnatron Part from GE last 5/15 and that part has failed on three different times since that date. The part is under a 5 year warranty and since it keeps breaking it is not my fault that the parts are defective and I should not have to pay for Labor or service.If they had fixed it right the first time I would have been satisfied.  They should honor their parts and warranty without charging an absorbent fee of 190.00 for labor on a part that snaps in.

GE continues with their abuse and insult to their customers' intelligence. Since they are incapable of sending me a descent part and refuse to send me a new range and Above all, shamefully refuse to stand behind their products, the least they should do is to compensate my wasted time, money, and patients is to give me a discount offer of no less than $ 1500.00.    Regards,
