The only reason I filed a claim...

with the Revdex.com is because GE has taken four week now to get to the point of offering to reimburse us for the microwave. We have had a technician come out twice to try and fix this microwave and now GE is willing to offer a Goodwill certificate in the full amount of the microwave. The Goodwill certificate that GE offers allows us to go and pay out of pocket for another GE microwave and then seek reimbursement  by submitting proof of payment and then waiting 8 weeks for GE to refund us by sending us a check in the mail. This is unacceptable! We have already waited four weeks for a microwave and now GE is asking that we go and buy another GE product, which I'm reluctant to do based on the service we have received so far.
We should not have to do the following:
(1) purchase another GE microwave out of pocket
(2) submit a reimbursement claim and wait 8 WEEKS in hopes that we will get reimbursed.
GE should provide us a full refund in the amount of the microwave within 5-7 business days and allow us to purchase another microwave of our choice, it should not have to specifically be a GE product. I believe this is a reasonable request considering the inconvenience GE has put on me an my family for the past 4 weeks.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.While the tech did come on April 30 the appointment was supposed to be for him to replace the water valve that the previous tech determined was part of the problem after doing a short wash with some clothes. The tech that areived on the 30th didnot replace the valve instead he asked me what the problem was and started a wash cycle with no clothes then after about 10 or 15 minutes he decided he needed to go out to his truck to call engineering and was still on the phone with them when he came back in still trying to explain to them waht the problems were. At this point they had him looking for a button on the machine that wasnt there to put it into a test cycle. He now stopped the empty wash cycle and finally got it into a test mode and the only thing he checked was for any trouble codes and to make sure that the spin cycle was spinngng at the proper RPM and thensaid nothing was wrong and giving it back to customer relations without doing anything that he was supposed to like replacing the water valve. We still have a machine that is not working properly still leaving detergent and fabric softner stains on clothes due to lack of water, sill running at least 30 -45 minutes longer then its cycle time due to the clothes getting all twisted and machine cant balance itself out and still rinsing with warm water. I find it ironic how one tech does a small cycle of clothes to determine part of the problem and the one who was supposed to fix it and doesnt says nothing is wrong with it. And while I spoke with [redacted] she offered a buy back of only 500 on a machine that cost me an additional 875. as an upgrade to the top load GE machine the builder was offering as a standard when I bought my brand new house just 2 years ago. This is also the second machine since the because almost the same problems happened on the original one and after they tried replacing the dispenser bin and mother board which made things worse they decided to send me a replacement which has been worse since the day I got it delivered.

 I have had this refrigerator for 6 months.  During that time I have had six service calls.  I have had to take time off work each time except the last call which was on a Saturday. In addition I have had to buy ice as needed.  The last time the technician came out he determined that the water filter which was factory installed was limiting the amount of water flowing thru which limited the amount of ice produced and the size of the cubes.  The person that I spoke with at GE in the consumer affairs department accused me of lying about my purchase date and number of service calls I have had to wait for.  After proving my purchase date by sending him a copy of my receipt that I had to pay office to send to him he sent me a respo**e that he had updated my purchase date.   He never confirmed the number of service calls that I had to wait for during this period of time.  He never accepted any responsibility on the part of GE.  The burden of proof was on me.  Luckily the same technician serviced my refrigerator each of the six times.  H e put a plug in the place where the filter was so that the water from the supply line would bypass the filter and deliver more pressure going into the line for the ice maker and water despenser.  He told me he had new filters on the truck but I would have to purchase one to replace the factory installed filter that it appears has been the problem from the beginning.  I would like for GE to provide me with a working filter at no charge and extend my warrant by 6 months also at no charge to me.
