DON'T PAY THIS COMPANY it is a SCAM! I was supposed to get my resume within 1 week of sign up and they didn't show up until 3 weeks later. no one answers your calls at their "customer support". I emailed them when I didn't get a resume and asked for a refund. They said we will consider your request and then they never answered me again. If you are curious about their service the resume they provide you is a joke! I regret paying them $219 I don't see ever again.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

I paid for their top package and 8 days went by without hearing from anyone. Just a generic email saying they are looking for a writer and to be patient. I started asking for a full refund after 4 days of no contact. I sent about 9 emails. I then received an email on day 9 stating I have a writer. I told my writer what has happened and she said she had no way of getting in contact with anyone but will retry and closed my file. Days went by and I emailed her again she said she forwarded something to customer are Tcmc I’ve but has no way of contacting them. A couple of days later she said she hear from them and they will be issuing a full refund. This was last Thursday. I did receive anything else. No refund. Sent 4 more emails and today I received one for another random person saying the request was sent to the management team for approval today. I told them this is Fraud and stealing people’s hard earned money. They never give you an email to reach customer service or management. You are ignored. They don’t address your issues. They don’t return your money and they keep you hanging. I told them Not only I would file a complaint with the Revdex.com but I will also take this matter through the legal system. I saw they have hundreds and hundreds of complaints. This company should be put out of busiisness. I want my refund immediately!

As with everyone else who has complained, I have ordered and PAID for the deluxe package that included a resume, cover letter, and linked in profile. I have also requested a phone call, which I would have gladly paid for, and to this date, no call! I have reached out to ,y writer ( if there really is such a person) and all I get is canned email responses with her name attached. I have called two days and a row, and hung up after being on hold fore approximately 40 minutes. This place is a rip-off after reading complaints of people in the same predicament that I am in. I have contacted my bank to put a stop on the cc payment - I am a for falling for this scam, that is tied to Zip Recruiter!

I am having a hard time receiving the product I ordered with TopResume. l ordered an Executive Priority Resume Writing Package for $349 6//2020. I have had one person reach out and had the first draft completely 'off' from what my skills are. I see this service as a scam to collect my money and not do their portion that reflects my work experience whatsoever.

I obtained TopResume's services to redesign my LinkedIn Profile. The very first draft of work they sent me was a copy and paste of my resume with a few word changes and was poorly written, did not reflect who I am, and did not reflect any of the additional information I provided along with desired changes. I gave them this feedback immediately and told them I no longer wished to continue working with them after they refused to implement the suggestions I made based on what LinkedIn themselves recommend for profile writing. The writer never even looked at my LinkedIn profile that I have that already to see that I already had the majority of the same information they were providing me.

I purchased a resume, cover letter, linkedin profile update and a resume posting service from TopResume service on June *. Since that time I have had nothing but issues with this company. The product produced was full of errors, that, do this day has not been resolved. I have attempted to contact the customer service phone line and have sent multiple emails that have gone unanswered.

After multiple attempts to contact the business, with no adequate response, I have been contacted and assigned a new agent who has to this point met my expectations of what was promised, and has been very courteous and professional. There are still parts of the agreement that have yet to be delivered, but I feel that this will be honored shortly.

I paid for the high-end fast-tracked resume service at $350. This package was meant to be delivered in 3 days. I waited for over a week to be finally told that someone was getting onto it as they had a backlog due to COVID. Waited another few days and still nothing. Finally, over a week a half after I made the initial payment I received an email with the first draft resume, and I was shocked. It looked like the resume was written by a child, and an uneducated one at that. Not only did they make it sound like I had no skills, the layout of the resume was so plain and basic I would throw it in the bin if it was ever sent to me. Somehow, this “professional” company managed to make the resume I had sent look a million times worse. Understandably, after paying such a high amount to wait an unacceptably long time to receive a sub-standard first draft, I wanted a refund. I explained the situation and was told coldly that I could only get a 30% refund. Despite Top Resume not living up to the conditions stated in their service (offering a fast-tracked resume of 3 days), they declined to offer me a full refund. They then said that they would find someone else to work on my resume for me. Begrudgingly, I accepted. After not hearing anything for another 3 days I was beyond frustrated so I sent another email asking when I would receive the first draft of my resume. Still no response. It has now been over 3 weeks since I initially purchased this overpriced package, and I have not been provided with anything close to decent customer service, nor has Top Resume delivered the service that I paid for. I would like a refund immediately, at this point it is a joke how long I have waited to receive any form of communication.

One star is far too generous for this "company." I unfortunately made the mistake of paying for a resume rewrite on this site, a cost of $149. What I received in return was the exact same text that I had provided in my previous resume with the addition of a summary section at the top that included text copied directly from the description of the job I was apply for. They didn't even copy it well, as the summary they included came complete with typos.
This is clearly an organization that doesn't care about the people they are serving, and it began to feel more and more like a scam with each interaction. When I complained about the quality of the product I received, their only recourse was either a 40% refund or elevation to a "more senior writer." After two weeks of waiting for this first revision, and having no faith that this company understands what professional writing entails, it's clear that those remedies weren't going to cut it for me. I have since contacted my credit card company in the hopes that they might be able to save me from this poor judgment on my part.
Please save yourself the time and the headache. Avoid TopResume like the plague.

I paid $349 for TopResume's Executive Priority resume service. It is advertised to include an "executive writer" and a process of going back and forth between the writer and the customer to develop the documents. It took a week for me to get contacted by the writer. The writer answered one question and was then unreachable for a week, with the exception of a "check-in" email following my emailed complaint to customer support. The first draft cover letter was not written at an executive level. Both the cover letter and resume had multiple grammatical and typographical errors. The second and final draft, following no back and forth development emails, contained the wrong resume draft and a LinkedIn draft that contained additional grammatical and typographical errors. Mid-process I asked for a refund. A customer service person asked if I wanted another writer. I said I would take another writer if they thought they could find one of sufficient capability. I did not hear back from them on their offer of another writer. Next, I received the second drafts which turned out poorly as described above. I now want a full $349 refund.

The value proposition presented by the business was to match me with a writer who knew my industry and would deliver high quality documents after a back-and-forth process with me. The writer was not only unresponsive and unavailable, but literally every draft he provided was filled with grammatical, typographical and content errors. I brought this to the company's attention weeks ago and they have done nothing to resolve it. Their business model is to take payment from the customer and then scramble to find a contacted writer willing to do the work at the offered pay rate. I will not accept a substitute writer because the business does not control writer selection or quality, it merely selects the lowest bidder or whomever is available. Furthermore, this process has already taken several weeks and I paid for the "Executive Priority" package. The result was not at an executive level and they have not prioritized any aspect of the service. The resolution I will accept is a full refund of $349.

TopResume is not responding and can’t be contacted. I completed my order 5 days ago and still have not been contacted. They have no customer portal, help desk or ticket system and all TopResume emails block incoming emails:

I have tried contacting them via their FaceBook page and also no response.
The only response I receive are emails asking me to purchase more services.

Before TopResume begins any work, I would like a refund because I have lost confidence in their ability to deliver on their promised service give the lack of response and inability to communicate.

I originally purchased the $219.00 package from Top Resume after having a free resume critique. I was introduced to my first writer Kia, in which I filled out a form, but there were not many questions asked from her. The first draft was awful with inaccuracies, dates made up, grammatical errors, etc. I asked for a refund and was told I could receive a 50% refund or try another writer. I said I would try another writer, but wanted a courtesy phone call, which is normally a $50.00 charge. I spoke to Megan my second writer and asked if she was credentialed as a resume writer and she stated no, none of them are as it is not required by Top Resume, but she usually works on executives and people that need re-writes done. She has 4 years of experience. She agreed the first resume was not well written at all. We spoke on Saturday and she asked questions so I think she took notes. She stated she would have the first draft to me on Monday nigh, but I told her if not Tuesday would be fine. I waited until 1:53 pm on Tuesday and she replied around 4:25pm that she would have it Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Today (Wednesday) I emailed at 12:00 pm asking when I would have it as I needed a definitive date and time as both time frames had passed. I had expressed to her the job I was looking to use this for had a deadline of June ***. She had stated the final draft would be done by Friday for me to review, but I have not even received the initial draft. I called customer service and they told me management would have to review and they would make a decision if I would receive a full refund by the end of day tomorrow (Thursday). When asking customer service previously about writer's credentials I got a response from Amber from customer service saying they are gdpr compliant. I looked this up and it is a EU law that protects EU citizens and those that hold their personal data, which has nothing to do with what I was asking. They have not provided the service I have paid for, nor has the second writer met their own deadlines. I had told Mandy the customer service agent I spoke with today at 2:25 pm that my original card used was hacked and that when refunded I would have to give them the card that was linked to my bank account. She said she would make note of it. Their own writer Megan stated they do not have to take any credentialed resume writer exam to work for them. This is my order ID from Top Resume order*** I am hoping you can help me with this matter.

After receiving the first draft of my new "professional" documents I knew I was in trouble. The entire resume was dotted with grammatical and punctuation mistakes. Much of it was phrased awkwardly and read terribly. There were multiple tenses used in the same sentence. It sounded as if it was written by someone for whom English is a second language. The resume embellished my accomplishments. It left our entire jobs. It omitted many skills critical to me selling myself to potential employers. Beyond this is it was not aesthetically pleasing. I shared what they sent me along with my original resume to two separate individuals without first giving them my opinion. They both concurred about each and every point I laid out before. The entire resume was an unmitigated disaster. I e-mailed my initial contact person with my concerns and received no response. I contacted customer service to enter a ticket through the website to no response. I directly e-mailed the customer service address with no response. I informed the writer I would like to request a new writer because I should not have to correct a "professional writer's" grammar mistakes. He replied to tell me he had forwarded my email to the customer service team and that they would be in touch with me shortly. They never responded. STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this company. They are a TOTAL SCAM. I spent $400 on an extensive package and have received nothing I would ever consider presenting to a potential employer. They take your resume and point out all the ways they claim it could be improved upon and then they butcher it and expect you to thank them. It's pretty obvious why they have a no refund policy. The problem is they have not met their obligations. The fact that they have simply ignored 4 attempts to contact them about this issue shows what they are. They are there to sell you on something and take your money. They don't care at all about the quality of the product they deliver to you or whether or not it's even presentable to a potential employer. Biggest SCAM I have ever encountered in my life. STAY AWAY from Topresume!

I am not actively engaged with this company to resole my dispute. I paid them $399 on May *** and have received nothing of value. Every e-mail I have sent was responded to with a generic prewritten e-mail that did not address any of my detailed and very specific concerns. They e-mailed me 6 days ago saying they would provide me with a new writer. Since then I have e-mailed them twice and received zero communication from them. They are a total fraud. I have initiated a dispute with my credit card company over these transactions. It has been over a month. The time for them to provide me with their services has passed. I will accept nothing less than a full refund. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life dealing with any company. Buyer beware. All they care about is getting your money. After that they provide you with a completely unacceptable quality of product nowhere near the standard that they claim to represent and then try to brush off all the concerns you present to them. I might as well have burned the $399 dollars since the heat generated would have been more useful than the services I received from this company and would't have cost me a month of stress. I wonder why they are so overloaded with customer service issues at the moment? How many other struggling individuals gave this company a large amount of money only to receive a resume that sounded like it was written by a kindergarten student who speaks English as a second language. This is completely ridiculous.

Lies. They said they would provide me a new writer and then completely cut off communication with me. I did not hear from them again for more than 10 days during which I had e-mailed them at least 3 times. It wasn't until after they stopped communicating and I filed a complaint with my credit card company that they resumed communication. You can't say you're going to provide someone a new writer and then ignore them hoping they will go away. This will never be resolved unless they admit they provided a completely unacceptable product then abandoned me. I will never accept anything less than a full refund. The credit card company has already clawed the money back due to Top Resume not cooperating. Leave it alone. Accept the loss. You're scam failed. Admit defeat and this complaint will be resolved. Continue fighting it and I will never give up working to expose the fraud you have committed upon me and hundreds of others as documented in the more than 300 complaints you have received.

I purchased ancareer evolution package from Top Resume and was promised to have my resume professionally updated by a professional writer.
When I received the "revised" document, it contained grammatical errors, formatting issues, and the writer didn't even bother reading my resume or information provided, otherwise they would see that during their regurgitation, they mixed my jobs experience and created false statements.
I tried contacting customer service several times (via phone, email, social media) and was told via social media that someone would call me. They never did and I tried contacting again, no result.

I then received an email stating my evaluation period was up, so I started a dispute with the credit card company. Only then their customer service tried to assign me a different writer, but at this point I can't trust their service to deliver what I paid for: professionally written resume. I mentioned I wanted a refund, to which they say they would work with the bank moving forward and the bank told me to find a second route for this issue.

I had and have several jobs I want to apply for, but apparently they don't care. With all this pandemic, I need to promptly send my resume when an opportunity arises.I spent the money trying to get a good quality service, now I can't even hire another professional...

I understand that the process is based on feedback, however, I was also assured a professional with specific qualities would be assigned to me. This was not the case, seeing the issues above-mentioned. TopResume promise for the package I purchased, Career Evolution, was "Everything you need to apply to jobs, including a resume and cover letter.- Professionally written - By experts that know your industry.- Formatted for success - Formatting that will get an employer's attention.- Keyword optimized - Your resume will be optimized to pass through Applicant Tracking Systems.- Cover letter - Employers are 40% more likely to read a resume with a cover letter.After a week of the "professional writer" working on my resume, she did not deliver one single item of the above promised. If I would spend the time reviewing her work, I would review vast majority of it, to which brings the point of even hiring in the first place.The first draft I received presented grammar, formatting and misspelling mistakes. I contacted TopResume on the same day with concerns regarding the quality of the writing, to which I received no response. I tried multiple times after that to talk to someone (I have proof of it) and I had one response via social media, where the person said I would be contacted. I was not. I reached out a few times again - no response. On the day that the review "expired" I filled a claim, to which only then your customer support responded about changing writers. I want refund because you failed to deliver what I purchased and also the lack of response to my attempts, only responding to me when I contacted my credit card company and Revdex.com makes me believe that TopResume is not concerned about the quality of their work or who they hire.

We do not have new information to share related to this claim. We offered the client a reassignment/document revisions when we received the initial complaint. We later received notification that a chargeback was filed for this project. Once that happens, we must communicate with the financial institution. This caused a delay in pursuit of a resolution. We have learned the chargeback was denied, and as such would be happy to work with the client again to get her revisions finished.

I purchased the Career Evolution package -- resume and cover letter -- after having a free review done on my resume. I provided my current resume and answered the additional questionnaire in full. The resulting resume was filled with spelling and grammar mistakes and was poorly formatted. I provided feedback that the dates referenced in my cover letter weren't accurate and the revision I received took out that information completely. When I commented on the formatting, the response seemed stock...much like the format of the cover letter and resume. If I wanted my information dumped into a template, I could have done that myself.

When I issued a complaint to the business, I was told "We're sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the project. We understand that the writing process is inherently subjective and what works for one person, may not work for another person." For a business specializing in resume services and changing $180 for said service, they should be able to tailor their service to their customer's needs. This company only offers a rewrite if you are unsatisfied or haven't received responses from job applications. I was told "Since our network primarily offers non-tangible goods, we do not issue refunds once the order is processed and the services are provided." Pretty sweet little scam they have set up.

I have had my resume rewritten with the help of my career services office at the technical college and have participated in interviews since beginning to use that version. I don't want a rewrite -- I want my money back.

Please contact us at *** to redeem this benefit, as it is free of cost and will entail a full audit of your resume and job search. The product that we delivered you is a digital, non-tangible product, which is why we have a no refund policy. However, we will gladly partner with you on any needed document revisions and/or answer questions about the strategic choices made with your resume.

I didn't even pay for a review; it was a free resume review provided through some job-application website, but please do NOT spend money on these people's services.

I got a review today for my resume, and it was for a completely different person. Provided their software actually worked-- and I'm honestly assuming that it doesn't-- I got the full name of another person and their most recent employer. That sounds like a privacy concern. Not only that, but they said that based off of my resume, it looked like my experience was concentrated in engineering-- I have absolutely no engineering experience. They also claimed that my contact info was NOT listed on my resume; that's a lie.

No big deal, right? I didn't pay for it. I just emailed the person and told them, "This person isn't me." I figured that if this was some kind of resume mix-up, they'd want to know so that they could protect that other client's privacy.

I got a reply and they claimed that they use "an ATS to parse the text" so they can "get a feel for the visual layout" of the document without HAVING TO OPEN THE DOCUMENT ITSELF, which they claim better protects my privacy. But if you're reviewing a resume, shouldn't you physically open and look at the document yourself? This is what others have done every single time they reviewed my resume. They argue that other employers use ATS software to review resumes-- even if I believed them, I know that employers will also OPEN resumes.

Not according to them. They further wrote in their reply that the critique was STILL valid, and said that even if their software got it wrong, it was MY fault. They said that they could "help me" with correcting this. This is clearly a ploy to get me to pay money for their resume writing services.

I say this as someone who has worked in game development and video production (which they wouldn't know because they clearly didn't look at my resume): if you over-rely on technology, you're not going to deliver a good outcome. You'll do it fast. You'll do it cheap. But when you OR YOUR SOFTWARE make egregious errors, your response isn't "The critique still stands." You should go through it again, on your own, without using your clearly faulty software.

For that reason alone, I'm compelled to leave this review as a warning to other potential customers. Thank goodness I didn't give them any valuable payment information.

I hired this company to work with me to evaluate my resume. All they did was take reformat my old resume. There was no feedback provided. I requested to speak with someone on more than one occasion with no luck. I request a partial refund as I believe that they did not provide the services they promised. I would highly recommend that you avoid using this company. . The end product is not worth the results and the follow up/customer services leaves a lot to be desired.

They did nothing for money I paid. The most part of my comments has been simply ignored. A lot of errors, e.g. five innovative million tons per annum processing plant.
In their adv it was stated they have professional writers in a broad industries, in fact they know nothing about my field. My resume looks like a paper written by a student. What they do is just get payment, send you poor quality draft and wait for a deadline ignoring all important comments. They did not respond me after my claim.

It seems they are not going going to complete their job. In my view they simply unable to do it. They tried to redraft the resume, but it is getting worse. Now it is misleading, structure is absolutely irrelevant. For instance, they combined gold price hedging and government subsidy program together as one subject. And there a lot of such examples.
They do not really clear my comments, they simply make irrelevant changes and play for time to reach deadline and close the order with no real value. Please make refund.

I purchased the Career Evolution Resume Writing Package which was supposed to include a revamp of my resume and cover letter. I was paired with their employee Steve S. on May *** and was sent the first draft of both on May ***. I replied to Steve after receipt of the drafts letting him know that I was not satisfied with the results. I indicated that what he sent was very similar to what I already had, and he replied saying I was right and he would address it. I also paid for a phone call, so we set up a phone call for May ***. He sent me the second drafts the night of the ***, and when we spoke on the ***, I indicated that I was still unsatisfied with the results. I mentioned how the language still came across as "doer" and not "achiever" , which was the feedback I'd gotten from the free review, and what prompted me to purchase this service. I explained that the information I provided about my accomplishments were nowhere to be found, and he said he'd just received them, and would add them in. He also hadn't changed the formatting, so he said he would change that as well. On May ***, I was sent the 3rd drafts, and still I did not see changes and quality worth what I was paying. I explained this in my response to him, and he said he would update it again, and send me the quality I was looking for by this evening, and I still haven't received anything. I feel as if I was scammed, and that I should not have to pay for these worse than lackluster results.

The only resolution here is for me to be fully refunded. Steve S. still hasn't responded as he said he would. Given the businesses CLEAR history of customer issues and substandard quality, I should not have to pay ANYTHING for services I did not receive. What they sent me is not useable, so them keeping 70% of my money is unacceptable. I did not proceed with another one of their employees because it is clear they do not provide quality service. Otherwise, so many other people wouldn’t have complaints about the same thing. I will not be satisfied until I am fully refunded, or they provide me with top level service that I paid for. Keeping 70% of my money without me receiving a product is theft! This should not be tolerated! They should not be allowed to do business with so many instances of such malfeasance occurring!

I had a terrible experience with the top resume. First of all it took probably four or five times for the resume writer to get my resume halfway decent. I paid $350 for a resume that I could’ve paid five dollars for my five-year-old to write. They say that they get you an interview guaranteed within 30 days that’s a lie. I didn’t even get a lot of traffic on my *** profile.I finally got a job interview Two months later because I knew someone at the job I was trying to get. If it weren’t for my resume I would not have got the job. I should have listen to the other bad reviews and just did my resume on my own but I am not good at all and doing resumes. My resume looked like someone went online and looked at job descriptions and copy and paste it. That’s not $350 worth of work to me. The only good thing about my resume and the only reason why it got one star Is because the cover letter was written very well. Please do not use this service it is a waste of money and you are better off doing it on your own.

I purchased editing services from TopResume in March 2020. I am a biologist working for the federal government, and I wanted help drafting an industry-friendly resume. I purchased the 'executive package' which included a resume re-write, cover letter, and Linked-In profile re-write. My editor was Emilie. The documents I received were useless. The drafts contained numerous spelling and grammatical errors. When I sent my concerns to Emilie, she did not respond for 2-3 days. However, TopResume only allows you to work with your editor for 5 days. When she finally responded to my comments, there was 1 day left for revisions. The edits did not change, she had to ask for explanations on basic scientific words. Before I purchased the service, I contacted TopResume directly to ask if they had writers with scientific experience, they assured me I would be assigned to an expert in my field. That was clearly a false claim on their part. For example, I had a selected list of my publications. A few of the titles included scientific names (e.g. Cyprinella venusta). In text, these names are always italicized with the first name capitalized, the second in lower case. In the revisions, Emilie had changed the scientific names so they were not italicized and she capitalized both names. A lot of her edits made no logical sense. Furthermore, the LinkedIn edit that I paid for was never mentioned. It was not revised in the original edits, and it was not addressed when I contacted Emilie. I did not receive the services I paid for. I opened up a dispute with Affirm, giving them this information and the edits I received. They denied my dispute because TopResume had a strict no return policy. However, I did not get the revisions I requested. As far as I am concerned, they're thieves.
