Poor service all around. Apparently this comp has unsatisfactory service writing resumes and also setting up service due to their in competencies The send atleast 3 emails a day about how they improve resumes significantly and find you a job. When I signed up the site is misleading and confusing by the 2 options: either "order now" or . Claims if you purchase in 24 hours up to 35% off is nothing but a fake clause and advertise 139.00 for the Pro Growth Pkg when they charge you 149.00. A HIDDEN link to accept the Affirm financing, sets you up to hit the 13 mon financing as you find youre entering your credit card info for the pmts but in reality you have PLACED an ORDER!. I contacted Top Resume as the female rep claimed she would look into it in hopes I would go away as her blow off excuse. She refused to acknowledge the real issue and thinks because she said IM sorry, its ok. BE accountable for your actions TOPRESUME; she refused to assist and refused to send me to a manager. They charged my account as requested to cancel the request and refund my money back immediately the day of; and if they couldnt provide the credit day of -to leave it as it is., THEY DIDNT, they charged my act 149.00 in which went into a overdraft and called me next day to tell me they removed the service after CHARGING ME and wait 5-10 days for a refund. This is nothing but a total scam. Apparently the CEO Jeff B is a thief and allows this set up because of the high losses and poor ratings. IF I paid for the service as I did, they had NO RIGHT to remove the service and refused to provide resume service-Poor service and incompetent. Real thieves. .

My resume showed insufficient job history/experience; which lead to inaccurate information on my resume. I'm very unsatisfied with their service. It seems like they just wanted my money and that's it.

message and prefer no work more provided on my resume. Services were
not performed as agreed.My service with TopResume was beyond
horrible. I don’t ever want to work with them again. My resume was a
poor quality of work. TopResume didn’t not deliver at all, they only
took my money.On one of my degrees they put that I
obtained remotely in which, I did not I took classes at the University.
TopResume combined three of my employers together, which didn’t make any
sense, and you can’t tell which employer was for what
description. My experience and accomplishments were worded incorrectly.To resolve this issue I would prefer a
refund for the amount I paid which $149.00 was also found out after the
fact that TopResume is not even accredited with the Revdex.com that really
makes me more upset. Service is based on emails verses you
talking to a live person. Their responses when reaching out is always

I received an offer from TopResumes through what looked like zip recruiter... I assumed they were an accredited business by zip recruiter and ordered my resume and cover letter.

The first draft was awful. There were spelling errors, poor grammar, and items from another cover letter that wasn’t even part of mine. I sent them corrections-

It has taken a long time and they are not responding to my emails. I am extremely disappointed and want my money returned.

Very dissatisfied with the resume and cover letter received. It contained grammatical/punctuation errors; insufficient job history/experience; inaccurate skill descriptions.They ignored most of the listed skills I gave them with my original resume.
The amount of time to receive a response to revision requests was excessive. The final revision was received just minutes before the contract period ended so that additional revisions could not be provided. Also, TopResume's customer service department was not helpful since they say they are web based only. The resume and cover letter were so poorly written that I will have to rewrite both myself.

TopResume is a scam. I hired TopResume to write my resume and my LinkedIn profile to include a 30 minute phone call from my writer for $400.
They promise you will receive almost instant calls from employers as soon as you apply and I received none. I've applied to over 50 jobs in the last 5 months and I have not received one call for an interview or hits from any recruiter. They re-wrote my resume 3 times and nothing. Please do not buy their services. I had to spend another $300 re-do my resume again.

They refuse to refund my money. I have not started the resume writing process or started any of the information gathering steps - they have done nothing or started any work and they refuse to refund my money. I cannot share any information with a company that I feel is not reputable, so they will not be able to write a resume for me or complete the process. They also guarantee an interview within 60 days - they will not be able to deliver on that guarantee either because I can't put myself at risk by sharing any information with this company.

This "company" is a fraud!! If I could leave zero stars I most definitely would. I decided I no longer wanted to use their service after noting numerous typos on the interview form and immediately halted my information and asked for a refund before the company provided any service to me, only to find out that they do not refund for any reason and all sales are final. This was extremely frustrating for me as there was no indication of that policy prior to making my purchase. I hope this company and its leadership pay the ultimate price of running a very poor unprofessional "company". Probably the worst waste of $200 in my life!

I purchased from Top Resume a professional written resume and cover letter. I completed a survey and sent my current resume explaining what I would like my new resume to be geared for. The resume that TopResume sent was filled with errors on every line. Some of those errors were my name spelled wrong, job titles that I never had, skills or tasks I had never done and there were sentences that made no sense. Almost all the information on the TopResume resume did not match my current resume, survey answers that I provided them nor any of the job descriptions I wanted to apply for that I had provided them. The resume was not written by a professional nor was it something I could use to get any job. The services I purchased from TopResume were not the services that Top Resume provided.

Top Resume is still trying to steal $219 dollars from me and they never did any work for me at all. I purchased the package that included a resume, cover letter, and *** update, cancelled the same day after filling out their questionnaire answering multiple emails, realizing I wasn’t going to get any product, I cancelled. They sent my two old resumes that they didn’t write to my credit card company as proof of their work. I’m still trying to get it removed from my credit card. I left reviews on ***, sent them documents proving my review is accurate, they allowed Top Resume to flag the reviews. Now Top Resume is advertising on *** tagging ***. What a scam! People see these reviews on ***!

Incorrect grammar and sentence structure, run on sentences, and inaccurate information plagued my resume. I’m utterly disgusted with the the poor quality of work that was done. Customer service says they have to review and get back to me in two days. Unacceptable.

My writer exerted minimal effort. New resume was brief version of copy and paste. They did not read additional info about my situation, and did not incorporate that into the resume. There was no personalized approach. The writer was not an expert in my industry. The service I received was worth $40, not $200. I am extremely disappointed.

I signed up for TopResume and the first draft was so bad that I didn't want to work with them anymore. TopResume had advertised that they have a large team and would tailor make my resume for my industry. In my industry, single page resumes are the only thing acceptable and two page resumes are not. TopResume proceeded to send me back a product in two pages. Beyond that, some of my experience and accomplishments were worded completely wrongly in that they made no sense, (basically the resume writer took words from my resume and mashed them together) which made it obvious that the resume write had no idea what he was doing. The highlights on my resume that the resume writer used were not what I would have used, nor would anyone who knows anything about finance have used (they were just randomly selected condensed bullets from my resume). Last, the resume writer was very unresponsive given the $ they charge ($250). He responded once every 48 hours in a response that was almost automated. The first draft was so abysmally bad and the level of service so poor, that I just wanted a refund to go hire a legitimate resume service and yet they refused to offer me a refund because it is their policy not to do so. Buyer beware.

Here's what happened, the business waited 13 of the 14 calendar days they had to respond to me, and all they responded with was "Thank you for your response. A member of customer care will reach out to you today. Please be on the lookout for this message so we may assist you in resolving this issue. Thank you." which resolves nothing. I have consistently encountered poor customer service while dealing with TopResume (in addition to a poor quality work product). All customer service says is that there's no refund but also consistently repeats that customer satisfaction is their priority or that someone will be with me soon.The response to Revdex.com, where it took 13 days to receive a non-response is an example of how bad dealing with TopResume has been.

While the issue was resolved and I eventually got a refund, this took over a month of interactions between me and TopResume to get a refund with some very robotic responses and bad customer service. I would be very wary of using their services in the future and would never recommend this service to anyone I know.

One star is too much.
I understand--you are desperate for a job and need a new resume. Quickly. Whatever you are using isn't getting you any phone calls. I have been there. HOWEVER, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. There advertisements are false promises that they cannot deliver on.
My first draft was filled with a personal summary that was basically a one-sentence paragraph of buzz words that would make no sense to anyone in my industry. It was obvious that the writer was not familiar with my field, and that English was not his first language. I expressed my concerns and he assured me he would make edits. By that time, I had already corrected his poor English and grammar. I also added back in necessary certificates that he ommitted that are required for the jobs I am applying for.
I wrote to TopResume with my concerns and requested a refund. Instead, they offered to pair me with a more senior writer. I refused as I had already written a new one myself and have no confidence in their company. They have since refused me a refund so I will be disputing with my credit card company. They don't seem to care.
So AGAIN. DO NOT USE TOPRESUME. Anything you write yourself will be better than their finished product.

Their service claims to be guaranteed and offers to rewrite if no interviews are granted in certain period of time. Then based on a fine print of the FAQ which is not on the way to complete the purchase, they refuse to complete the job.

Not only that but they claim to have local writers although with an app I use to check when and where people open my email, I can tell they are in Punjabi, a writer from Punjabi can not speak locally to the American market, that is fraudulent.

They are offering just part of a solution. I have tried several times to get my documents done, resume, cover letter and linkedin profile, by contacting them through the regular ways without success and now when I have no trust in them whatsoever, they are offering just to give my cover letter (I already have the resume) while also disqualifying my claims about the location of their writers.

I would like to get my cover letter and Linkedin profile to my satisfaction please.

They promised me a resume for $150 dollars. They then sent me someone elses resume and when I pointed it out, they then failed to deliver the promised resume for my skills.

Purchased the$150 resume package. I am a young professional with 3 years of experience, my previous resume yielded me several interviews from big consulting companies and landed me several internships. I wanted to refresh my resume with a new look and gave this company a try (without looking at reviews which was my fatal decision on my end).
Long story short, they returned a resume over 2 pages long with verbose wording as well as terrible grammar. I complained and wanted to dispute the claim and they offered to sign me up with a "senior" write if I could provide "evidence" that I did not file a dispute. Since it was only $150 I am not pressed to dispute further but wanted to leave this review. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THE REVIEWS HERE ARE ALL TRUE. THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETE GARBAGE AND A WASTE OF YOUR TIME.

According to TopResume’s advertisement, they guarantee a resume to be written by professionals in fields that match with the customer’s need. Furthermore their advertisement ensures a professionally written resume. More so, they guarantee and ensure that the customer’s satisfaction is of upmost importance. Based on these advertised guarantees I decided to purchase the resume service. The resume that was given did not in any way reflect the guarantees advertised. The resume’s ettiequte was not professional as it had improper grammar, spacing, and overall outline. The field in which the writer was familiar with could in no way be in a similar field as the one in which the resume is written for, this reflects in the wording, such as leaving out degree titles and even training acquired. Overall the resume received was an insult to my name. After listing some the errors to the writer, which outlined the entire resume, I was constantly asked again to provide a list of what needs to be changed. I don’t understand why I would be the one to rewrite a resume that I paid for to be written. I requested a refund for not only the fact that what I received was not aligned with TopResumes advertised guarantees but also the fact that the customer service was atrocious. The company refused to refund and resulted in over 20 emails back and forth stating my satisfaction is of importance but a refund will never happen and that they look forward to any disputes.

I had Top Resume do a resume for me, and then a few months later I had them do a free resume review. Top Resume told me in so many words that my resume is trash. How can this be the case since they were the ones that wrote it.

This company specializes in the bait and switch scam model. As a Sillicon Valley Software engineer I would say my resume is quite good. After receiving a resume critique, I was intrigued by how an expert would be able to rewrite it. To which purchased its most premium service and spend $349 , including the other $100 to join 2 networks of resume re-distribution. After receiving the first draft I knew for certain no expert was behind the keyboard. Its resume is just laughable. Many grammar errors, I was scammed for half a thousand dollars. *** you Jeff B, CEO of talent network.

I signed up for TopResume professional resume services in December for $219. I currently work for Microsoft and looking to go for a promotion so wanted to get a professionally done well rounded resume compared to what created myself (I'm certified in Office 365 Word and have taken multiple resume creation classes previously). When I was assigned the resume writer I waited for the result and it was beyond disappointing. It was a resume I could create in 5 minutes by choosing a template and copy pasting my information and I definitely didn't pay $219 for this kind of service. I wanted to keep good faith and emailed the writer about what my expectation was and the changes I would like to see. While I was waiting for my resume to get fixed, I was only given a week to communicate with the writer. When it was 3 days later and I didn’t hear anything from my writer I decided to reach out since I was running out of time. She told me there was an issue with the systems and she was unable to send my resume. By the time she sent me the resume it was the last day of revisions and it was nowhere near what I was expecting and needed a lot more work. It was very obvious that the writer didn’t know what they were doing. When I contacted customer service requesting a refund, they told me they couldn't give me a refund but they could assign me someone senior. I accepted and waited a few days but I haven't heard anything back. At this point I was very disappointed and fed up because I applied to my promotion job with the resume, I created myself. I realized that the timeline, quality and the customer service TopResume provides is not what you pay for. When I reached out them the second time explaining my concerns, they rejected my refund request again saying they can only give me 30% of what I paid. At this point I am more than a month away from the initial date I applied for this service. It hasn't been done properly within the timeline and quality I was promised. It hasn't been done on the second time around I was promised. How long am I supposed to wait for a service to be done when I am out of money and waiting. Overall terrible customer service and quality of promised product.
