Randy *** from Tempo came out for winter inspection and did an inspection of the furnaces. He found the carbon monoxide levels for the upstairs unit was too high and adjusted the system to correct it. Randy was punctual, efficient, and resolved a safety issue that I wasn't even aware of. He is a warm and polite person that gave genuine, honest answers to my questions. Highly recommend Randy!

Cancellation of service contract. Company refuses to refund.
On 8/20/18, we had Tempo Mechanical come out to do an inspection of our air units. During the inspection, the serviceman found a leak in a coil in one unit. The serviceman gave us a quote of close to $2,000 to fix the unit. NOTE: Unit is only 3 years old. The serviceman told us if we would purchase an annual maintenance contract, he would give us a discount. We agreed to purchase the service contract. On 8/20, we paid $732.00 which included the service contract, freon testing, and adding freon. On 8/27, we paid the Company $1,164 to make the repairs. During the repairs, the serviceman broke a drainage pipe on the unit. The serviceman acknowledged that he broke the pipe and stated he would order the part for replacement. After numerous calls to the Company regarding the broken drain pipe, we kept being told that the part was being ordered. The drain pipe was finally replaced on October 24th, 2 months later and after multiple calls. During this time, the Company sent out a serviceman to conduct "winter servicing". We did not agree to the servicing and told the representative we would not want any further work or inspections until the drain pipe was fixed. They sent a serviceman anyway and we sent him away without performing the 'winter maintenance". After the drain pipe was finally fixed, we cancelled the annual maintenance contract because we do not want to use this Company. Their service is not satisfactory. When we called the Company to cancel the annual maintenance contract, we were told we could not get a refund because we were given a discount on the repairs and if they took away the discount, it would be more than what we paid for the maintenance contract. I think this is unacceptable and dishonest of the Company. It is my opinion that the Company owes the full amount back due to deceptive practices. At a minimum, they owe us the amount from the date of cancellation to the expiration of the annual maintenance contract. We paid for a service that we will not be getting since we cancelled. How can they keep our money when they are not going to be providing services over the rest of the period of the annual contract? At this point they have not earned the amount they are taking from us.

Desired Outcome

Based on the problems we have had with this Company and the amount of personal time it has taken to get the Company to respond and fix a problem they created, they should refund the amount they charged us for the service policy. I feel certain, the "discount" they offered for almost $2,000 of supposed repairs did not include the amount of the maintenance fee. The customer service at this Company has been unacceptable and at a minimum, I want others to know how deceptive this process is.

We were able to reach *** on the 28th and and he was frustrated but very polite when speaking with our sales manager. The part we needed to repair his unit was a special order part and we lost track of it. What should have been a 2-3 day turn around to repair drug on for several weeks and that was Tempo fault entirely.

We explained the discounts he received as a Club" member ($391.00) and he seemed satisfied with that. He asked we refund the balance of his service agreement membership fees ($180.00) and we agreed to do that. A check will be sent to him by Wednesday of next week (12-5) if not sooner.

I signed up for their membership and the agreement was for 30 dollars per month from my credit card. However in the month of May I was charged 4 times
I noticed the error and contacted Tempo month of May- was told this will be corrected and the amount refunded- Since then I have called them several times and I still have not gotten my money back. The response I get from the phone representative is always we will take a message and have someone call you back. I have yet gotten a call back. Recently I call 2 times this week and both times again told a "manager" will call me back buy the end of the day. Still no call back. I am not sure what to do. I called my credit card company today and put a "block" as the have continue to send monthly charges to my credit card. My credit card company will be sending them a dispute letter but I need help as what to do for next steps . Thank you !

I would like refund of my 90 dollars and cancellation of my "membership"

There are a litany of reasons as to why Ms. refund did not get processed in a timely manner but it all comes down to an internal communications failure as there is no question the refund is owed and should have been paid first requested back in mid May.
Our sincere apologies to Ms. and a credit is being issued to her credit card today. If the "block" on the card prevents the credit from posting we will follow up with a check immediately.

In addition to the refund, one of our membership specialist will contact Ms. with an offer to continue her program for another full year at no charge to her.

Randy N. was courteous, patient and professional and fixed the problems with my a/c quickly and efficiently. I no longer hear the loud noise and appreciate so much the high level of customer service at Tempo!

Our AC tech, Randy, was fantastic! He assessed the problem, provided a rate quote and fixed the issue in a short time as the part was available on his truck. He also followed through and checked the coolant in the outside unit and noted that the capacitor had a limited life span. He gave us a quote for replacing that part now or wait until it eventually failed. There was no pressure either way. Great Customer service getting our AC up and running on this 100 degree Saturday!

Very professional and courteous. Randy N was my tech and he did and awesome job. Explained everything to me, took pictures and I understood everything he did. Excellent service.

Justin Nguyen, service technician, did a great job at fixing my HVAC's compressor this Sunday morning. He fixed the problem very quickly and answered all the questions I had.

I signed up for the annual checkups with Tempo for both my HVAC and water heater. Thank you Justin N.!

I am very pleased with the service I received today from John R. He did a superior job installing a new water heater.

Ran into warranty issues with a brand new Air Conditioning system. Tempo, Darius and Jorge D stayed on the work and forced the warranty issues with Carrier on my behalf. Repair work was timely (once we had the parts from Carrier) and I had confidence in the technicians.

Jorge and his team did an excellent job of installing our new Carrier A/C unit today. They were very cordial. They cleaned up after completing the job. Jorge walked me through the attic after the job was completed to see their work and explain what they did as well as the outside compressor unit.
The only negative was that one of his team foot fell through the ceiling during installation. *** need repair.

I would like to recommend Justin *** from Tempo. He is very professional, friendly and customer service focused. He explained the issue extremely well and what needed to be done. Anytime I require a technician, I will request Justin.

We have been a Tempo customer for approximately one year. Our home is also one year old. Today, Tempo provided our Spring Maintenance service. In addition to the servicing, we added the Deluxe Storm Kit, comprised of indoor and outdoor surge protectors and a Compressor saver. You never know when those Texas thunderstorms, which produce a lot of lightning, might create problems. Our Tempo technician, Justin N, provided excellent knowledge and service with the installation. We feel very comfortable being a Tempo customer.

Tempo has serviced our AC/heat units for over 10 years, most recently in April. As always, we had great service from Randy! Thorough and informative, he has helped us to know how the units are running as they age.

So far I have been very pleased with Tempo. From understanding my AC problem and to resolve have been quick and very affordable. I do recommend this business!

Randy N. performed our seasonal HVAC service this week and was very courteous, he explained everything he was doing and the status of everything upon completion. He also was very calm & clean, something I value.

We've been Tempo customers for several years and have always been pleased with their expertise, thoroughness and promptness. Now they have added plumbing to their services, and we have even more reason to recommend the company.

We have been using Tempo for 20+ years and have always received excellent service with top notch technicians. Randy did a great job for us today. He was polite, courteous and very thorough in servicing our system. Thank you, Tempo, and thank you, Randy!

Kirsten, was an excellent technician. She went above and beyond and she made sure that we knew what she was checking. Kirsten was the only one who cleaned our outside unit, and she did it exactly the way I would with care!
